The Republicans control all three branches of Government, in the House its by a few Seats, more of a majority in the Senate.  The BBB will confirm the Trump tax cuts of his first term and cut welfare, the Democrats are fighting this with simple point that 3 trillion will be added to the National Debt.  This should be a red line to real Conservatives, but not Trump's Republicans, the US voters will see if he Trump can master Congress like FDR, LBJ, Reagan, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama, even the semi senile Biden. Developing!

It is not unknown for the Russians to blow up their own buildings as to get public support, or the allegation that they planned and took part in the recent terrorist attack at a concert hall is Moscow.   That investigation has gone very quiet of late.  The Russians have started a new offensive in the Ukraine, so far it is going well, the fresh US weapons have not arrived yet in the Ukraine, the West has been slow with military kit, thus giving the Russians this chance.  It would not be a surprise to this blog if a few other buildings are not blow up by the FSB.   The Russian Bear is on the move, its claws have to be cut, and the West cannot afford WEAK leadership of POTUS when it comes to the Ukraine and Israel.

This is it, Israel might have no  choice if the story is TRUE, the Israeli intelligence service, the Mossad will know for sure, the Israeli PM might not wait for the Green light from the Biden Oval,  POTUS has Ukraine and China on his mind, does anyone think that POTUS will strike Iran, this blog doubts it.  Thus security of Israel and the Middle East might be down to Israel and its Gulf Allies, worrying development.  The one thing that could change Biden's mind is the fact that he is running for a 2nd term, a nuclear armed Iran with the a on going WAR in the Ukraine and the threat to Taiwan from China would be hard even for the liberal press to hide.  If Biden thinks that a Israeli strike on IRAN could start a Middle East War he might think it was better for the US to ACT, Iran would have to think hard about taking on the US in military terms, if the US wanted to it could wipe Iran off the face of the WORLD.  There is no love of Iran in the US, after the hostages of the Carter Era, the terrorism from Iran in the 1990s and the threat to Israel at present.

The last ten days will remain long in the memory, at first the news of the Queen's ill health, the hours as the News anchors tried not to lead to speculation, and then the news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen was Dead.  This news for this blogger only become real when you coffin was taken from Balmoral with the Royal Standard on the Coffin.  Then people going to see the Queen's coffin in Edinburgh, then the Queen's Coffin in Westminster Hall, the thousands that musts have passed the Coffin to show respect, the procession in Westminster Abby with the King and his brothers and Sister behind the Coffin.  The Age of Queen Elizabeth II saw the UK move from Empire to Commonwealth, then the cultural revolution that was the 1960s, from music, to cinema, to laws to allow people to be gay, and the death penalty was scrapped.  The 1970s saw the UK as the sick man of Europe, weak Governments and over mighty unions, then we come to the 1980s and the glory that was Lady Thatcher, the taking on of the Unions, the UK at War over the Falklands, the advancement in the economy, ordinary people could buy Shares, the 1990s, saw the first Gulf War against Iraq over Kuwait, the fall of the USSR, and the end of the Cold War.  The terror attacks on 9/11, when the UK showed we are firm supporters of the US, the near banking collapse, then the Pandemic of Covid - 19, and now the cost of living Crisis, the War in the Ukraine, all these developments the Queen has been there, the rock for the 2nd Elizabethan Age, now we have King Charles III, God Save the King.

As stated this blog has not time for the PM since Afghanistan, but this stream of letters have to STOP, the PM should use the Sir John Major tactic, he was PM, he resigned the leadership of the Conservative Party and ran again, when he had similar problems with the backbenches, and he won that contest.  PM Boris should do the same, flush out the malcontents, force them to have a candidate, that is a to shut this down, let's see who has the support to stand, and let's recall its the members who NOW elect the leader not the MPs, one is convinced that the PM would win that round.  The PM should also do what he did before and start to throw a few MPs out of the Party, make them run as independents  in the 2024 General Election, that would silence a few, they would no longer be Conservatives and cannot vote to unseat the PM.  It is time for the PM to be ruthless.

It is toast time for Joe Biden, he needs inflation to go down by November, or look like its going down, he has to beat Putin in the Ukraine, and he needs to give the impression that he has not gone gaga.  Let's be clear, Biden is no Reagan or Clinton, will he change if he gets a thumping in the Mid Terms, from his present polices so far one has to say that Biden does not know how to outrun his base and get on the good side of the US voter.  In a few weeks Title 42 comes to an end at the border, after this finishes one can expect a massive migration surge, that will not go down well with the voter, they will see migration as a threat to jobs, also inflation could go up and Putin ambitions might not just be the Ukraine.  Thus POTUS has snookered himself, as reported in my previous post, Biden has told former President Obama that he wants to run again in 2024, if the Republicans take the House and Senate by big numbers, there will be pressure for Biden not to run, and for other candidates to comes out, otherwise Trump or someone Trump light could WIN in 2024.

The Russians and Ukrainian sides are talking form different perspectives, are the Russians being their natural gloomy self's or have the Ukrainian side been in the same meetings.  The Russians say nothing has really happened at the talks, thus they are still bombing the Ukraine, while the people on the ground in the Ukraine are seeing further bombing and worse than before.  One can speculate that the Russians are playing a double game, they want some good news, thus the talks, but are sending the real message to their people, that nothing has developed to stop the War.   Of course the Russians might be sending their delegation to talk and waffle on while the Russians bomb Kyiv, to distract the West, who might have to learn  that Russian invasion of the Ukraine will take time, and endless talks as was the case in Bosnia in the 1990s.

Thus it seems the hour is closing in, has Putin made up his mind up to attack the Ukraine, what is he waiting for, for a false flag attack or another incident dreamed up by the FSB, one that no one will believe, is Putin that MAD. A long WAR countered by insurgency supported by the West, Ukraine could be the new Afghanistan for Russia, if the Ukraine people fight, it could be bloody and would make Putin a WAR CRIMINAL, no Western Leaders would meet him, he will be wanted for TRIAL at the Hauge for a invasion of a democratic State.  If Putin does invade it will make Bosnia of the 1990s look like happy hour, and the West was forced to end it the end.  How will Putin hide the Russian deaths, and there will be deaths, there are reports that large pits have been DUG to take the DEAD, he does not want body bags going back to Russia.  How long will the Putin Regime be able to hide the consequences of the War, Putin will be compared to Hitler and Stalin.

Thus " President " Manchin has ended the Biden domestic agenda on the HILL, the Senator has been very CLEAR over the holiday period, he has had enough of talking about BBB, its dead as a dodo.  The Biden Oval has shown that it is no FDR with the New Deal, or LBJ with the Great Society or Ronald Reagan with his tax cuts or Bill Clinton with the boom years of the late 1990s.  The Biden Oval should look to refresh his domestic agenda staff, they have let him down, they pushed the Senator to his wits end, they didn't get the fact that the Senate is 50/50, this is not like the large majorities that FDR or LBJ had, also Biden cannot cut it on the Hill.  One does hope that Biden does a  better job in foreign affairs, for the sake of us all.

Iran is playing the US and the West, the new hardliner President is using this time to build up nuclear material for a bomb, one would not be surprised or shocked if the Tehran Government has paid the North Koreans for information on developing their own bomb.  The Tehran Regime has seen two examples of what happens when a country gives up its nuclear arsenal and what happens when a Country has the BOMB.  The first example is the Ukraine, it gave up its nuclear arsenal after the FALL of the USSR, the missiles went to Russia, now the Kremlin is about to invade the Ukraine, if Kiev has kept its missile this would not be happening.  On the other hand there is North Korea who has built a nuclear arsenal and is seen as a NUCLEAR POWER, thus the US cannot strike North Korea after its numerous breaks of UN resolutions.   The Tehran Regime just wants the TIME to build its BOMB, if this happens then Biden is TOAST in political terms, he will not have a choice, he would have to take action for face losing big time in 2024.  Thus the Ukraine border and Iran could become HOT over the New Year.

As stated in previous post, Iran agrees to things and then goes back on them, they are stalling, they know that the Biden Oval and the West want to appease them, that the West does not have the backbone to follow through with any threats, also there is the CRISIS point of  Russian on the Ukraine border and the tension between the US and China over Taiwan.  The West can only deal with so much, on top of that we have COVID - 19 and its mutations, as now the Western leaders are not sure if the new virus is a major THREAT or not. The real threat to Iran is Israel, if they see that Tehran is very close to the bomb, they will attack as they did in 1981 in Iraq and 2007 in Syria.   If Jerusalem sees that the US and the West is weak and will not really stare down Tehran, they will be forced to take action, alone or with the Gulf States.  The reason North Korea is safe from Western action is the fact they have nuclear bombs.  The Ukraine made the mistake of giving theirs  up in the 1990s, the Russians got them, and thus the power Putin has in the area.  These Vienna talks are a smoke screen for TEHRAN, they want the bomb and are stalling the the US and the West.

The question that has to be asked, was where were the press, the British press on the whole gave the first Labour Administration a FREE PASS, the fact that Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were at war came out much later, and it was only the IRAQ war that broke the thumb over the Blair Government over the press.  One wonders if any of the above will be reported by the liberal left wing press, that includes BBC News, not their web page, Sky News not their web page, Channel four, Guardian, and of course the Times, that paper has gone very LEFT WING, it can not stand Boris and Brexit supporters.  At least some of the web pages have the story.

POTUS is really OLD, he came out with LIBERAL favourites during his ADDRESS to Congress, he just wants to spend money on favourite projects for LIBERALS, there is no REAL working with the other side, also he had a dig at Ronald Reagan, Biden has learned NOTHNG, Reagan did not have a high opinion of him, he is just a quiet liberal Donald Trump.  Biden Administration if it successful with Congress will have passed nearly 6 trillion in Government spending.   The idea of Big Government was over stated President Clinton, well it has come back with a BANG under POTUS.  One can only hope that the Republicans get their ACT together and retake Congress in the Mid Terms, otherwise Biden will have out spent both FDR and LBJ, and attacked the growth makers in the United States.  Bad day in the long term for Democrats, a good day for Republicans.

The UK economy needs to get going after COVID 19 is either beaten or the UK has to live with the fact that COVID - 19 will be with us for years.   There is vaccine research in the UK and the US and the process so for has been good, but it might take months or years for a final solution.   After borrowing billions to keep people in WORK, the Government should pay it back over the decades, there is no need for austerity NOW, also it would cause further damage to the economy.  The UK has COVID - 19 to deal with but also we will be out of the EU finally by December 31st, given the present economic condition there won't be much difference.  The Government will have to open the public purse to finance work schemes for those out of work, it will be the 1980s - 9Os all over again, please make sure that any government jobs are REAL JOBS and that you are not thrown out of work after 6 months once the government reduces its support.   Hard times ahead. 

Trump vs. Biden Part 2 - Iowa speeches - Election 2020

As the above article notes President Trump won Iowa in 2016 and will want to make sure that he does not lose the State in 2020, while Biden wants to run a general election strategy before even a vote has taken place in 2020.  One has to say in pure politics the strategy by Trump works better, there is a slim chance that he will face real opposition in the Republican nomination fight, while Biden has to beat a dozen other candidates for the Democratic nomination.   The biggest weakness by Biden is his record, from abortion to his support of the the crime bill in the 1990s. The Crime Bill is seen to have hurt ethnic minority population more than whites, this issue will come up over the next year, if the uber left wing candidates want the nomination they will have to tackle Biden about his support for the bill when he was  Senator.  It still a long way before Iowa votes in 2020.

In his winning two terms President Clinton never got over 50% of the vote, in 1996 he got 49% and that was with a great economy.  The important numbers are the State polls, they will tell the tale of the election, that is why Joe Biden is looking good at the moment, he is seen as having the ability to win those States that Trump won 2016.  But as this blog has stated, its early May 2019, the Democratic Presidential Debates have not happened yet, and the US faces 20 Presidential candidates.   They will want to go after the Biden polls numbers, they have to SHINE, they have to show that they can win, and that Biden is an easy target for Trump and his tweets.  I expect Mayor Pete and Beto ( great brand names to sell, if I just said Joe, you would be wondering for a second who I was talking about, thus brand is important ) to do well in the DEBATES if they really want to challenge Biden, of course this will be their first time on the national stage, will they shine or go supernova and show that they are not ready for prime time.   On the issues one expects Senator Warren to being a box of them, the question is can she sell her herself, ( her voice does drone after a bit, eight years, not sure the US voter is ready for that ).   Let's see if Senator Kamala Harris can stop pandering, she has to show her tough side, she was a prosecutor, the US will not vote for a WEAK WOMAN for POTUS.

It has been a BAD WEEK for the PM, she lost her meaningful vote 2 on the 12 March, the following day lost the vote on a NO DEAL BREXIT, BUT today she has had a good day.  The PM controls the Parliamentary Agenda for a week, she is going to the EU Summit to request a delay in Brexit, it could be a short delay or a long delay, it depends if she can get her meaningful vote 3 through the House of Commons.   It seems that the DUP is coming on board, while even some of the HARD BREXIT MPs are changing their minds.  Others on the hand to quote the military historian Alan Clark are lions being  lead by donkeys.  This blog has been very hard on the HARD REMAINERS, but the HARD BREXIT MPs had Brexit in their hands and they threw it away and some are still refusing to budge.   In the first Gulf War the US and its allies went around the Iraqi dugouts and won the WAR, the extreme HARD BREXIT MPs are fighting for a hill when they have a chance to win the war.  They need to support the May Deal and then chose a Brexit PM after May resigns and fight for the future AGENDA.  The County Associations of these MPs need a to speak to them, do not lose the war for a hill, otherwise they should face de-selection.  The public will not understand the purity need for these MPs.   One can now understand why Sir John Major called his Brexit MPs, sons/daughters without a legal father ( this blog has cleaned up the quote, you get the idea ).   This blog is a HARD BREXIT supporter, it would build a WALL in the middle of the Euro Tunnel and at the entrance and set a minefield just after the WALL.   It would make the Berlin WALL LOOK easy, but this blog can count numbers, that is the point of democracy, TAKE THE DEAL BREXIT MPs and let's move on.

Are the Democrats trying to LOSE the 2020 election, the leading candidates have endorsed a socialist agenda of  Green New Deal, it would cost trillions and would never get pass the US Congress.  The main candidates are pushing for tax hikes on the rich, and medical over for ALL AMERICANS, and the removal of private health insurance.   The Trump State of Union called what the Democrats doing as socialist, what was shocking is the fact that when POTUS stated that the US would never be a socialist country, the Democrats sat on their hands.   Thus the extreme left wing has taken over the Democratic Party, if the Trump Oval could keep on message it could destroy the Democratic Party for 2020.  One only hopes that former VP Joe Biden enters the race, a grown up, but then he has started his sorry tour over his support for tough laws in the 80s and 90s.   IF the Democrats are seen as supporting illegal immigration then they can forget the rust belt States.   They Democrats are making the same mistake as military commanders fighting a new War based on the results of 2018, two years is a LONG TIME, every Presidential Election is different, the Obama Campaign team of 08 and 12 could not get HRC elected, and HRC was a moderate, liberal on domestic issues but tough on foreign policy.   The papers and networks that give Democratic candidates air time, the ones with no chance of winning, are defrauding their customers, the political reports who write about them, should give back their reporters degrees and refund their paychecks, they are not doing their job.   IF the US Government shuts down again, the Trump Oval should keep it CLOSED, make the case that the Democrats are more interested in illegal immigrants that legal Americans.
