Lets Get Real:

The US has to pull its finger out and end this WAR, this Trump's Woodrow Wilson moment, Wilson who had kept the US our of WW1 in till 1917, had enough by 1917, also the German threat from Mexico pushed Wilson to act.  Thus Trump must use secondary taxes on Countries buying Russian oil, he must close down the Russian economy, he has to be brave and take the fight to Moscow.  END this endless WAR.

Canada given a Month to solve drug problem at the border - Trump47

The White House: Reports that President Trump has ordered a delay of 30 days to the Tariffs on Canada,  thus to allow Canada to clean up the drug problem on its border.

This was a silly trade war started due to problems on the Southern border with Mexico, over immigration and with Canada over drugs, Mexico promised to send ten thousand troops to the border, will this pause make a difference, we shall see, the EU is next, what of the UK, who will they support in a trade war.

Thus Trump will appeal to his base, he promised on day one that he would massive arrests of illegal immigrants who have broken US law.  IT has been leaked that Chicago will be hit first, a blue State, Democratic Mayor and Governor, let's see how the Democrats react, do they oppose everything or be more selective.  Interesting hours and days ahead.

Biden closes the US Border with Mexico to illegals - 2024 Candidates/General Election - Biden Era

 I did watch the debate between the Labour Leader and future PM Sir Keir Starmer and the outgoing PM Sunak.  The debate was  a draw, the Labour Party is going to WIN BIG in July, the biggest Majority since 1924.  There is nothing that the Conservatives can do, 14 years in power is long enough, the next Labour Government could be in power for 15 years, that is the point of a BIG MAJORITY, it was take a few election cycles to get them out.   Also let's not forget the Ukraine, WW3 could be down the road!!  The UK voter cannot say that they were not told.

The Republicans have stated for ages that the Biden Oval has the legal authority to close the border, it has taken the fact that Biden is sinking in the polls to ACT.   At least this will remove a political arrow from the Republicans, and the Biden Oval can say that that order would have more force if the US Congress had passed the original Biden plan.  Thus far the political polls are tied, one would think that a Party Nominee who has been convicted of a Crime, would fall away in the polls, that has not happened, could it be that the American people have made their mind up about POTUS and it is not good.  It will be interesting to see the polls at the weekend.

If the Biden Oval has to talk to Russia in the end, it will not look good that you are doing another Munich 1938.   If you follow the Biden logic this can only end in two ways, a coup in Russia, Putin will not withdraw or World War 3.  As noted in my previous post, the fist part of the Biden Address was strong, went all the way back to 1941 when the US entered WW2 after Pearl Harbour and Germany declaring WAR on the US.  Also BIDEN stated that a President Reagan stood before the Berlin Wall and asked Mr Gorbachev to tear it down.  The question is will the American people buy it, there mind set is very much like after WW1, enough of foreign WARS, also the crisis at the BORDER with Mexico is seen as a national security THREAT.  TIME WILL TELL.

This blog does NOT DO the Trump Court cases, IF YOU want that, go to CNN or others, this blog covers election issues and polls in the main.  The Mexico border with the US is in crisis, you have mass migration from the Americas, the right in the US wants to throw them out, the LEFT sees them as future voters, and thus supports OPEN BORDERS, Trump is seen as tough on the issue, while BIDEN is weak on the issue.   American voters want solution, not political rhetoric, the candidate that can set out a CLEAR solution will win.  POTUS needs to get tough on the border, however much the left of the Democratic Party howls, otherwise the US and the World will face a 2nd Trump term, and that would be a disaster.

If POTUS was a real leader, he would have been out everyday, selling the Ukraine as a major part of US security and that of NATO.  Thus it must have come as a bit of shock yesterday that Biden stated he might not have run in 2024 if Trump was not the Republican nominee, how do you square that hole, also his age is showing, what if the Republicans come to their senses and nominate a Reagan Republican, and tell Trump to get lost.  The article states that the US Senate Republicans want money for the US border.  A real leader would have been out front on this issue and make it clear that the issues are separate, this is why Biden is WEAK.  Iowa is coming soon, lets hope Trump loses Iowa and NH.

The Democratic contenders for 2020 have already come out in opposing the DEAL between the Senate and the House, they know that their BASE wants to them oppose POTUS on everything, the problem is the base will not get them elected in 2020 and their policy views will not go down well with the FLY OVER STATES.   The coastal States of New York and California are VERY LIBERAL, but as shown in 2000 and 2016, the Democrats can win the popular vote but lose the ELECTORAL COLLEGE, that MAJOR fact does not seem to have burst the Democratic bubble yet.  The moderates and those in the centre of the Democratic Party need to find another Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, candidates with charisma, also not seen as too LIBERAL.  Thus we wait the entry of former Vice  President Joe Biden, he might be a electoral threat to POTUS, he might attract the old Reagan Democrats and those Democrats that supported the Obama/Biden ticket in 08 and 20212.  Of course the nominee might be someone who no one has heard off, November 2020 is very much down the road, and it's long road.

Are the Democrats trying to LOSE the 2020 election, the leading candidates have endorsed a socialist agenda of  Green New Deal, it would cost trillions and would never get pass the US Congress.  The main candidates are pushing for tax hikes on the rich, and medical over for ALL AMERICANS, and the removal of private health insurance.   The Trump State of Union called what the Democrats doing as socialist, what was shocking is the fact that when POTUS stated that the US would never be a socialist country, the Democrats sat on their hands.   Thus the extreme left wing has taken over the Democratic Party, if the Trump Oval could keep on message it could destroy the Democratic Party for 2020.  One only hopes that former VP Joe Biden enters the race, a grown up, but then he has started his sorry tour over his support for tough laws in the 80s and 90s.   IF the Democrats are seen as supporting illegal immigration then they can forget the rust belt States.   They Democrats are making the same mistake as military commanders fighting a new War based on the results of 2018, two years is a LONG TIME, every Presidential Election is different, the Obama Campaign team of 08 and 12 could not get HRC elected, and HRC was a moderate, liberal on domestic issues but tough on foreign policy.   The papers and networks that give Democratic candidates air time, the ones with no chance of winning, are defrauding their customers, the political reports who write about them, should give back their reporters degrees and refund their paychecks, they are not doing their job.   IF the US Government shuts down again, the Trump Oval should keep it CLOSED, make the case that the Democrats are more interested in illegal immigrants that legal Americans.

Of course the networks and cable networks are going to show the speech, POTUS gets viewers, thus those on the right will watch to see if he keeps to his promise of a WALL or a FENCE, while LIBERALS will be tearing their hair out about the WALL and how Trump wants to fund it.   This blog opposes the WALL, it supports Reagan's Amnesty idea from the 1980s, but this BLOG is about political reality.   The Trump Oval could declare a National Emergency at the US and Mexico border, and thus use Defence funds to build the wall, the Liberal House will be up in the arms, as he is going around them, the Courts will be bought in to the process, the case will end up before the US Supreme Court.   POTUS has to keep to his WALL promise, this keeps his base happy, it does not matter what the Democrats and the Elite Media think, they are never going to vote for Trump.   The Trump Oval ALSO has to keep the Government SHUT, most of the States that are hurt are Democratic States, how long will the Trade Unions allow the Democratic House to keep their workers from getting a paid.  This STORY is far from over.

This is HARDBALL politics from the Trump Oval, the President if he wishes to be taken at his word should keep the Government closed and close down the border between Mexico and the US.   As of January the Democrats control the House, make them OWN the shutdown, most US civil servants it can be argued are liberals, how long will these voters allow the Democrats to STALL over funding of a WALL.  The Trump Oval has to be TOUGH, it has to make the Democrats eat crow, make them look weak, make the candidates for 2020 support every Democrat move, time for Trump to be ruthless if he wants to get re-elected in 2020.

There are always critical books on Presidents during their terms, even the great Reagan had a few at the end of his term, the trick is to show success on the domestic and international front.  The US economy under Trump is blazing away, on the international front the US is talking to North Korea, even through it can be argued that North Korea has conned the Trump Oval, as it has done with past Presidents.   On Iran the US has increased sanctions, we shall see what develops from this move, on trade the Trump Oval has done a deal with Mexico, Canada is still in discussions.  It would be foolish to write off Trump yet, politics is an art not a science.

Let's see if POTUS follows through with the threat, the Trump Oval is all rhetoric and no action.  The North Korean Summit has shown few real achievements, the North Koreans have just handed over the remains of US Soldiers killed during the Korean War, the real prize is to remove North Korea as a nuclear power.   On the Russia relationship the Trump Oval is fawning over President Putin, while the Trump Oval is being investigated over the relationship between Russia and the Trump Campaign in 2016 Election.   One can not wait for the Democrats to take over the Congress, then they can place pressure on the Trump Oval, the US is a melting pot, Trump and his WALL is against the values of the US. 

A Trade War between the US and the EU - Trump Era

Thus President Trump has move forward with his campaign pledge to have a trade war with allies of the US.  The Trump Presidency has one occurring fact, the Trump Oval follows through with the campaign pledges of 2016, this should not shock Europe, well it might, Western politicians tend to promise the Earth during an election and then back track when in power.  The Trump strategy is to catch the headlines and the force his opposition to make concessions.   The Trade War could be sharp and to the point, the US is still an economic power, the Trump Oval is less combative when it comes to China, as China is an economic super power and buys US debt.   One will see who blinks first.

The trade deal between the US, Canada and Mexico is liked by business, on the other hand main street US has seen jobs leave and entire towns become empty, the deal was developed under Bill Clinton, at the the all former living Presidents supported the deal, nothing lasts forever, it can be argued that voters in the rust belt States have seen no improvement in their lives, in fact it can be argued that their standard of living has gone down, while the richer and business has gained most from NAFTA.   As the article notes, some US Unions, and left wing Democrats support the US getting out of NAFTA, it will be curious to see what Trump decides, a good economy with NAFTA or play to his rust belt base, I think the base will be happy, the Washington Elite less so by the decision.

POTUS is keeping to his campaign promise to build a Wall on the Mexican and US border.    The American voter see the Southern border as open to illegals coming in and the negative effects on civic society.   President Trump is doing what the people want, this is sending the liberal elite in the US up the wall, they believe in open borders, and see any Wall as racist and therefore Trump.    The US has a need to secure it border, otherwise it is seen that crime levels go up and those that are caught in the US and found to be illegals are let out again under the Obama Administration.  It does not matter if the above is true, it is what got Trump elected. California and New York is not the rest of the US.   IT SHOULD NOTED THIS BLOG BELIEVES IN AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS AS DID THE GIPPER.   As with most things the Gipper was ahead of his time.

This blog would argue that the US voter will not care who pays for the bloody Wall as long as a Wall is built, then the US can have real immigration reform and the granting of amnesty to those US illegally, all rights, but with the exception of voting, they did come through the back door.   Also the Trump Administration could tax US companies that have moved business to Mexico as a way to pay for the Wall, one has seen of late a lot of companies deciding to stay in THE US rather than pay any tax for goods being bought from Mexico for sale in the US.

Thus the Donald gets free media with the BBC running his advert, one has to say that Mr Trump does not miss a trick, he would have been aware that its contents would appal the left wing media, and the BBC is one of the main pillars of the left wing media in the West.   The Mr Trump doubles down his extreme right wing policies, the banning of muslims, getting Mexico to pay for a wall on the border. One can assume that the other candidates would have given their left arms to have the TV review that Trump gets, lets hope ANY other candidate can taken down the Donald, or will we have to start calling him Mr President, that is a nightmare for the ages.
