This is pathetic from a man who considers himself an expert on foreign policy, he is NOW blaming Trump for this mess in Afghanistan.  It is no wonder that Biden has not shown his face, is he in the Witness Protection Programme.  Thank goodness the UK has the Queen as a head of State, and she is in her 90's and still turns up for work.  Those Baltic States, Poland, and  other members of NATO will be asking, can they trust the US now, will Biden support them if Putin makes a move in the Baltics or even Poland.  Those in Iraq must be thinking, if Daesh come back, will Biden run away again, as the Obama Administration did.  This is the worst foreign policy mess since Vietnam in 1975 and it is Biden's FAULT.

This blog got one thing right and one thing wrong about the Trial of former President Trump, it got the verdict right, there was never going to be 17 Republican Senators going to convict the Trumpster, the ones that did are on the way out anyway, have just started their term, and hope in the years pass it will not matter, and those like Mitt Romney, a constant critic.  Romney must understand that after his defeat in 2012 to President Obama, he will not get the nomination again, and this vote against Trump will lead to a major no from the Trump base.  The idea stated by the Minority Leader that Trump could face civil or federal trial, is interesting, CNN and the liberal press would love it, the public might see it as a major Witch Hunt, and President Biden will not his his predecessor placed in jail, once you start that, God knows how it might developed. A Republican Prosecutor might go after the son of the President, Hunter Biden, once you start that kind of process everyone gets hurt.    The blog was wrong, it thought that the Trump would turn up to take names of those that would vote against him, it can be speculated that the Republican leadership warned him that it could cost him votes.  Thus the future, it can be postulated that Trump will try to get the Republican nomination in 2024, he has a secure base to try, if someone is to challenge Trump, then they need the charisma and the money, thus blog is less impressed with those considering running. Four years is a long time in politics, either in the UK and the US.  Time will tell.

In the Trump World he must be loving this attention, poor Joe Biden the next President barely gets a mention, and only in the context that he will become President next Wednesday.  The NEW President will want to get his agenda out there, but the Democrats have a problem, if they delay a TRIAL, then Trump can get on the campaign trail to make Republican Senators who might vote to convict face the prospect of a tough Primary and even a general if Trump makes him mind up to get them out of the Senate.  The longer the TRIAL takes the more it helps Trump, he will will be on the TV, well the channels that will allow him on, of course he might start up his own channel to challenge Fox News and a new Social Media App for his followers who are annoyed to say the least that he is BANNED from Twitter.  For the Republican Party it might be a way to shut up Trump for good, if they risk voting for conviction then Trump would be banned from being a candidate in 2024, the fat lady has not sun her final note on the Trumpster.  And of course American voters love a comeback, who to say that will not be Trump who comes back the ultimate  comeback.

The Bush family is part of the American elite, Bush 43's grandfather was a US Senator, his father was Vice - President and President in his own right from 1989 to 1993 when he failed to win re-election in 1992.   Then Bush 43 who was twice elected Governor of Texas was elected in 2000 or selected by the US Supreme Court, take your pick on that.  The Bush Dynasty has class and understands history, Bush 43 is a great reader of history, and understands the importance of form, if they are not ill former Presidents normally attend the swearing in of their successor.  One does not see Trump attending events with former Presidents, he is thinking of 2024 and can he keep his base within the Republican Party.  The Republican Party needs a new Reagan someone who can go to toe with Trump and has loads of charisma, WHO IS THE QUESTION?

This is a shocking development, was the woman part of the protesters or an innocent victim who happened to be there, the extreme right will have field day if the woman was part of the rioters, she will be seen as a martyr, IF just an innocent victim, the uber liberal press will have field day saying the blames rest with President Trump, the details are rare this moment, a full picture should come tomorrow.  President Trump should have a hard look at himself in the mirror, his words were the fuel for todays action, the Biden Department of Justice must open a file on the incident and bring charges, of course Trump might pardon himself, he is that mental and does not care about the Presidency or the Country.  On the pure political side, its Biden town for the next two years, last night the Democrats took the two Georgian Senate Seats, let's if they can manage the Country better.

This blog was in shock when it watched the news to see the US Capitol being stormed, the US security in the place was lacking, this is not new, in 1984 this blog went over to the US to see the Presidential Election and visited the Capitol, security was not an issue, this blog got lost and found itself walking around the corridors of the US Senators, even passed the office of Senator Edward Kennedy, after 9/11 one would have hoped that US security has been upgraded, it seems not.  This blog is a firm Law and Order supporter, there should have been police on guard to stop the protesters, this act today was up there with sedation, even treason.  The last time the Capital was stormed, was by the British in 1814, we also burned the White House in 1812.   Thus after that and the US Civil War and the assassination of President Lincoln, one would have thought that security would have been the first thing to get a upgrade.  The rioters must think they had the blessing of President Trump, he was still saying the election was stolen when by video he called for the protesters to go home.   Thus the Biden Department of Justice, should bring charges against Trump and his supporters.  This is at least sedation or even treason.  If not that then Trump's pension should be axed, he has enough money, as he keeps telling us he is a billionaire.

It is fair to argue that the taped conversation between Trump and a Georgian official, could cross the line when it comes to State or Federal LAW, but the real worry is that Trump will take action over Iran or Iran might try to force the issue before Biden becomes President.  One can assume that Biden will appease Iran, the sanctions will be lifted and the US and the UN will try to get the Obama agreement restored, that will help with the Obama legacy.  Of course one can be critical of Trump, he has lost he plot, but not when it comes to IRAN, they are already increasing their nuclear capacity that is well over the agreement signed by Obama and Iran.  Thus President Biden will try to restore a flawed agreement, the real worry is what he is going to do about Russia and North Korea, the Democrats have been critical of Trump when it comes to Putin, but what to they plan to do about it, while North Korea is nuclear armed, is Biden going to go to war with North Korea, one has doubts.  Time will tell.

This blog has kept out of US politics after the Presidential Election, Trump has still not conceded and still thinks the election was stolen from him, he lost the popular vote by millions and Biden had a good victory in the electoral college.   POTUS has sent out hundred of tweets to the effect that he WON the election and complaining that the US Supreme Court has not bent to his will.  Also he has been using his PARDON power to help his friends and Republicans.  The fact that he not giving intelligence information to the Biden Campaign, should worry Democrats and Republicans, what if he supports an Israeli ATTACK on Iran, thus Biden could find that he has an active WAR on his hands.  Also the Biden Administration will have to deal with a Russian cyber attack on Government departments, how will a President Biden react to that.  Of course he will appease Iran, he will try to get the Obama Iran Deal back in to place, that could cause problems.  The White House staff should bring Biden out for big events and speeches, Biden should rest in the afternoon, JFK did, well if you call it rest. Even the Gipper was known to take 40 winks, and they are considered GREAT PRESIDENTS.   The above was the original premises of the TV Show, the West Wing, but then they found that people liked Martin Sheen as President , ( great actor, even if the character he was playing was weak as dishwater, had a meltdown even if he had to take military action or covert action ). Thus two good news stories today, a vaccine could be around the corner by Christmas and the President - Elect Biden has asked Americans to wear a MASK.  The wearing of a mask had become political during the Presidential race, if you were a Biden supporter you wear a Mask as the President - Elect does, if you're a Trump supporters you do not believe the the threat from COIVD - 19 is REAL.   Well the Presidential race is over and Biden won, the US voter should listen to Biden, give him the benefit of doubt and follow his request, WEAR A MASK, in the UK we having been doing that for ages.   The vaccine will take time to get to everyone, people in the UK and USA will have to wait their turn, life is not simple.

The above might be true or not, that is not the point, the election is OVER and it can be argued that Biden won it fair and square, the fact that President Trump is not going to concede will allow his supporters to say that the election was stolen from him.  If POTUS wants to re-run the election in 2024, then he has to get over this defeat, phone or text Biden to say he has won, then go down to Georgia an spend the next two months there, get the Republicans the two extra seats they need to control the US Senate.   Then he can argue that when it comes to 2024 that he has the political base and the political mandate to face President - Elect Biden again.  Or that one of his family with his support can be the Republican nominee.  Think Clinton between the Bush Presidencies, that would perfect revenge.  Playing endless Golf is not the answer, Biden Team are coming hot, with their own executive orders to replace the Trump orders.  American politics never ends, that is why its fun.

President - Elect Biden was VERY Presidential in his remarks, he was talking to the whole of the US, while President Trump was talking to his large base, he might be looking forward to running in 2024, he might enjoy making Biden's time in the White House miserable, after January 20th at 12pm Biden becomes President, thus COVID - 19 will be his problem, also the economy will need to be rebuilt, pushing through tax hikes and climate change might cost him a 2nd term in 2024, elections never END, they just go on, within two years he will face a Mid Term Election, with the Republicans not having lost a House SEAT and the Senate up in the air at the moment, Biden will need all his Senate skills to get his Agenda through. The President recent remarks, show that he has not learned how to be Presidential, Biden had a long career as Senator and Vice - President to see how power really works and how to be Presidential.

In less nearly ALL the polls are wrong, we shall have President - Elect Biden on Tuesday night, quite early if Florida and Ohio go for Biden.  The next moves will be interesting, who will Biden place on his foreign policy teams, Susan Rice in to the State Department as long as the Democrats take the Senate.  The Biden staff will be former members of the Obama/Biden team.  The NEW Administration in January could faces a test from North Korea, they will see that Biden will appease Iran and remove Trump's sanctions and will agree to whatever they want, while on the campaign trail Biden has been tough about China and North Korea.  Once in the Oval Biden will face pressure from Liberals to have a very liberal foreign policy and allow NK to have the bomb.  As for former President Trump as he will be after his defeat and the move of the Biden Administration in to power, could face charges from the New York Prosecutors, that should keep him twittering away for a while, of course he could PARDON himself, that will drive the left up the WALL, a President has no check on his power to PARDEN FEDERAL crimes, thus the New York prosecutors will have to go for States charges, those will be harder for Trump, a US President has never been jailed before!

Trump to declare himself the victor on Tuesday - Election Night Part 2 - US Presidential Election

Even POTUS must KNOW that to declare himself the victor on the night before most of the votes are counted is a MAD IDEA, then to claim if the votes go against him that its FRAUD.  One just hopes that a big Biden win ends all that talk, it would look BAD for Trump and for his political legacy, there are other Trumps want to run for public office.  As the Democrats go on and on about, also CNN, a lot of mail in voting will not be checked on the night or even days later, thus if it is a close election ( one has doubts about that ) then they count.  POTUS would look crazy if he stated he had won and then LOST.  The transitional period would be a nightmare, the election could be thrown in to the Courts.

If you're a political geek then you will be watching to see how Florida and Ohio goes, if either or both go for Biden then you can switch channel to watch something else, the election is OVER, Biden will be the 46th President of the United States.  There has been a massive surge in early voting and by post, it can be argued since Democrats vote early that the votes will be mostly Democrats, thus on the day of the election, Republicans will vote, one does not see how Republican voting will change the outcome, the Trump base is around 46%, in nearly ALL polls Biden has over 50% support.  All the polls would have to be WRONG, thus it can be taken for granted that Biden will WIN, he will keep the House and regain control of the Senate.  Trump's biggest weakness is TRUMP, he has to be at the centre of attention, goes mad if others get more TV air time.  They will be writing books about Trump for ages, he will be up there with Nixon, the most complex men ever to sit in the Oval Office, but he lacks Nixon's intelligence, let's recall that Nixon won 49 States in 1972 and he had Vietnam to deal with and the breaking at the Watergate.

The first few cases faced by Justice Amy Coney Barrett will define how she is judged by the LEFT AND RIGHT.  The Uber liberal news media will look at her view on ObamaCare, it was the major achievement of the Obama Administration in the domestic field, if you follow her logic from the past, then she should strike it down, would a new Justice really do that before Christmas or require the US Congress to come up with a solution by January 1st as an example.  The Judge will face the opposition by the catholic church to the adoption of kids by gay couple, one does hope she is liberal on that, it would be cruel to stop loving parents adopting kids.  As to the election itself, one hopes the result is CLEAR on the night, otherwise we face more Court trials from State to the Supreme Court.

If Florida or Ohio go for Biden then we know its OVER on election night, of course if the rust belt States go together, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania go for Biden the its a massive victory for Biden.  The interesting races will be the Senate races, do the voters really want to give the Democrats a CLEAN SWEEP, that would mean that it would be DOWN to the US Supreme Court to stop any massive liberal polices.  One can assume if its  a massive victory for Biden then even Trump will have to go quietly and hand over the power on January 20th 2021.   The question is what he will do between November and January, there  is only one President at a time, and a angry Trump might start a war with Iran and hand it over to Biden.  On the foreign policy side one should expect former Obama officials, also will Biden really be that tough with Russia and North Korea, also of course he will appease Iran, back to the Obama deal with them.  If the US Supreme Courts does revoke OBAMACARE, then Biden will need to build up his support for another attempt.  On the whole one expects a more quiet time from a Biden White House.

The general election next Tuesday could be thrown in to the Courts if the election is VERY CLOSE, the polls would have to be completely WRONG.  Of course the best thing that can happen is that Biden wins BIG, the Oval, the house and the Senate, and then the Republicans on the Hill might have to place pressure on Trump to leave on his own speed.  After losing big Trump might think he needs to leave the Office with some grace, so no rushing to the Courts if the election is CLOSE.  It is interesting one the first cases that Judge Amy Coney Barrett will have before her will be ObamaCare, it would be ironic, if the strikes it down, then Biden will have to rebuild the support for ObamaCare again in the US Congress, getting the US Congress to pass a mandate, in other words US voters being forced to buy cover might be a hard SELL.  Interesting days ahead at the Court.

Whatever happens next week, Trump has shaped the future of the US Supreme Court, had had three nominees and thus pushes the Court to the right.  The Democrats are furious, they could decide to PACK the Court with liberals, but the argument against that is the Republican could do the same when they are power.  Also VP is on the record in opposing such plan, he has thrown the idea in to the LONG GRASS, he will set up a commission to look at the US Court system.   The LEFT will push for Biden to pack the Court, it could be a early battle for Biden in his first term ( and only term, does any really think he will run for 2nd term, he is already losing it, he called Trump, George twice in a recent speech ).   The Biden foreign policy will be a return to the Obama Era, thus Obama re-treads in post such as NSA and Secretary of State.  It will be nice to have a quiet Presidency, Trump will be giving him hell ever day through his tweets, and watch in till Trump starts his own TV network, it will be Trump 24/7.
