End of Year, 46% Approval for President Obama - Gallup

Gallup: Reports that President Obama has a 46% job Approval rating, while 46% Disapprove of President Obama’s job performance. The following year should decide if President Obama gets re-elected in 2012, the economy has to turn around with the tax cuts just passed, ObamaCare has to get out of the negative rating. The Obama White House has to move away form its Liberal base, in political terms it would help President Obama if he had fights with his liberal base, then he will get a second look from Independents and moderate Republicans, he cant win with just the left, thus allowing gays to serve in the military was the right morale choice it was the wrong political choice, people want jobs not some left wing urban popular policy, this could come to haunt Obama over the next two years, the US is still in Afghanistan and Iraq and thus soldiers are getting killed and what does Obama do, please his left wing base over gays in the military. President Obama has a chance of winning re-election but its not a done deal folks, Obama can chose to be either be a Reagan or a Jimmy Carter.

Republican House vs. POTUS = ObamaCare Repeal

The Hill: Reports on the big first battle between the Republican House and the Obama White House, the issue will be ObamaCare, the Republican House will seek repeal or cut its funding. This is the one issue that Republicans can go to the mat for, ObamaCare is still not popular, they can really force POTUS to take a real political hit if he is stubborn. In the next two years the Republicans are going to make President Obama fight for every aspect of his ObamaCare, that will not be good for the President when he starts his run for re-election in 2012. Also the Bush 43/Obama tax cuts come to an end in 2012, is Obama really going to run on tax hikes. The Comeback Obama might be an illusion as much as his moderate image in 2008.
