UK Deployment in Afghanistan - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

One assumes the military strategy is justified in sending OUR troops back, one can not see why the Embassy staff can not leave on civilian flights or special aircraft sent to get them, the Embassy has been clear to those UK citizens  remaining in Afghanistan that it was time to leave.  Of course the UK has a moral responsibility to those that have worked for the UK over 20 years to get them out, the hard part will come when the flights are leaving and refugees start turning up at the Airport, Saigon 1975 all over again!! Also the Taliban will want to be seen as pushing the Allies out, thus one can expect some action on that front, it would be foolish mistake by the Taliban, the US and the UK have the power to stop them in their tracks.   But then the Taliban have shown they do not care about human life, thus attacks can be expected.  The UK should have gone it alone, and remained in Kabul and Afghanistan, but then we  always needs the Americans, and they, well POTUS wanted out, thus the disaster that is Afghanistan.

UK and US send troops back in to Afghanistan to save Embassy Staff and other staff - Biden Era

BBC News: Reports " Around 600 UK troops are to be sent to Afghanistan to assist British nationals to leave, the government has announced....The US has also said it is sending 3,000 military troops to the airport in Kabul to help evacuate a "significant" amount of embassy staff on special flights.  "

Lets Get Real:

As mentioned on CNN, this latest development will be seen by the people of Afghanistan as the Allies getting their staff out before the Taliban reach the gates of Kabul.   Thus one can expect more refugees to arrive, for the Taliban to move their attention to Kabul, they will want to be seen as throwing the ALLIES out, that would be a BAD IDEA, the US and the UK have the firepower to stop the Taliban in their tracks, one hopes that the SAS and the Delta force are already in Afghanistan, keeping D.C and London current on the events on the ground.   As to why you need to send 3,000 troops to take out an Embassy is lost on this blog, it had been reported that that 95% of US personnel were out of Afghanistan, one hopes the UK and the US take those that have worked for them over 20 years with them,  as those that have worked for the ALLIES will have targets on their back. ALL this could have been avoided if Biden had not appeased the Taliban, following the Trump policy.  One can expect the people of Kabul and Afghanistan will feel that they have been left to the cruel mercies of the Taliban by the Allies.
