In other words Trump knows that the Strait of Hormuz is very dangerous with Iranian mines and Drones, he does not want to risk the US Navy and military personnel before the Mid Terms, it only takes one lucky strike from Iran to really hurt the Royal Navy and Starmer would be finished, like Chamberlain after Norway campaign.  The UK should support the US, its our oil prices that are going up, also let's get the French involved, they have an aircraft Carrier in the Middle East.

This idea that the Royal Navy and others to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has come from Trump yesterday, these days Iran has smart Drones, unlike during the Iraq - Iran war of the 1980. This idea should be tested first with US ships, the UK should back them up if it works.  The UK does not have many ships to lose! We don't have admirals any more!
