As the article points out the the original talks were to happen in Turkey, with US Arab Allies in attendance, the talks will now  take place in Oman, with the sides having difference agendas, with the US wanting to talk more than just about the nuclear ambitions of Iran, there is also the problem of Iran's ballistic plans and its funding of terrorist groups in the region.   The Tehran Regime is seems only wants to discuss its nuclear ambitions, this could be real, the late leader of Iraq didn't want neighbouring Countries to know that he had destroyed is WMD, thus the Iraq War, pride and honour is big thing in the Middle East.   Of course this could be a ploy to divert attention for a while, get the Trump Oval mired in endless talks that go nowhere.  As Trump is MAJOR WIMP, do not be surprised if he backs down, declares that he has as perfect DEAL, better than Obama's and declare in the White House he has won the news cycle.  Lets recall Trump is from Reality TV, all that matters is the appearance of winning, the poor dead protesters will have died for nothing. 

Update: Guardian reports that the US has refused the Iranian request to change location and the format of the talks.   Update 2: The US has agreed to the new location for talks.  The World sees how much a WIMP Trump really is, he wants declare VICTORY and move on!!

New START (Treaty) to Expire on Thusday - Update

Lets Get Real:

This is the end of the era for treaties to control the nuclear arms of both Russia and the US.  As the article notes Trump wants a new Treaty that includes China, no chance, Russia wants to include the UK and France, no way that will happen, France is only a player on the World Stage because it has Nukes, the UK on the whole is a dependable ally of the US on the ground, of late Afghanistan and Iraq.  The Treaty that outlawed different kinds of Nukes, was the INF Treaty signed by Reagan and Gorbachev, that was allowed to expire, thus Europe would be a battle front should WW3 break out.  The Old order is gone, Nukes were meant to prevent Mutual Assured Destruction in Europe, the Trump Era has destroyed that, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine has shown that Nukes do not prevent Wars, Ukraine gave up its Nukes, after security guarantees from the US and Russia, the assurances were not worth the paper they were written on.   The Coalition of willing and the US are willing to give security guarantees to the Ukraine, and troops on the ground, the Russians object, we are back to pre WW2 days, Russia is Germany and the Ukraine is brave Poland.  The result is still unknown.

Sky News: Reports in its 11.34am post that Russia has stated its demands have not changed, they want the Donbas in East Ukraine, and NO NATO Troops in the Ukraine as a security guarantee.  Thus more talks.

Lets Get Real:

The Russians are playing about, they want to keep Trump sweet and for the US to place pressure on Zelensky in Kyiv.   The Kremlim sees Trump as a Lap Dog to Putin, in other words Trump is WIMP aversed to WAR, thus actions in Iran.   Thus more endless talks while the good people of Ukraine die in the cold.
