The Times: Reports on the prospects of a North Korean invasion of the South. A quick invasion and the taking of Seoul might not be that mad, North Korea has a million man army, South Korea has the better trained US Armed Forces and equipment, but a million man army could just be to much for South Korea. What if the North can take control of the South, what would the Obama Administration do, could they repel the North with conventional forces, problem they are stuck in Iraq and Afghanistan, would Obama go nuclear, have my doubts, so you see not that mad. This is why Obama has to get tough with North Korea, he might look weak and the North could just march in to the South, the Obama Presidency would be over before it started, he would be the President that lost South Korea to a Stalinist North Korea.

Woodward on the Obama Trail
The New Republic: Reports that Bob Woodward of Watergate fame is on the Trail of the Obama Administration. I enjoyed all three Woodward books on Bush 43, lets see how he does on Obama. It would be interesting to see how the new Obama Administration developed policy on Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, North Korea, Iran and the War on Terror. Also it will be interesting to see how Woodward treats Obama, so far the Elite Media has treated him as the secular second coming, he's a Chicago Politician after all, lets hope Woodward is as balanced as he was on Bush 43. Also it will be interesting to see who talks to Woodward, how in control of the message is the Obama Machine.
Nancy Reagan without President Reagan
Vanity Fair: Reviews a forthcoming article on Nancy Reagan, it shows that Nancy Reagan has a fine political mind, she states that Obama could have used her support for Stem Cell Research to outflank Conservative Republicans. One wonders what President Reagan would have made of President Obama, yes another great communicator but what about his Agenda, one can postulate that Reagan would have seen Obama as another LBJ, a Big Government Liberal from Chicago. On the other hand Obama has called Reagan a Great President, not Bill Clinton it should be added. Read of the Day.
