The Irish BACKSTOP and the UK - Brexit Update 3 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The May Brexit Deal is BAD, we all know that, one is sure even the PM thinks it is BAD.   The statement by the Attorney General that the UK would be stuck in the backstop if talks break down during the transition period will not go down well with Hard Brexit supporters, or any one else.  The PM needs to pull the deal and tell the EU that she can not get it through and there needs to be a better deal, one with no backstop, one that a majority of the House of Commons can support, otherwise the PM will be defeated on December 11th and then all hell breaks lose, with different factions from with the Conservative Party and the House of Commons trying to direct Government policy.    It is better to take control and see the reality than being lead by events.

Lets Get Real:

This blog was sad to hear the news of the death of Bush 41, the right man in the Oval Office when the Berlin Wall came down, the USSR fell apart and when Iraq invaded Kuwait.   The President was a WW2 hero, and a dedicated public servant, UN Ambassador, CIA Director, Vice - President to the great Ronald Reagan, and President in his own right.   It hard to think that Bush 41 was called a wimp by some, being a WW2 hero in recent decades does not get you far, the President has to move to the right to become Gipper's VP.  It should be noted that Bush 41 is the only VP or Nominee of a Party to be a successor to a sitting President who has served two terms as President in over a hundred years.   Bush 41 managed what VP Gore and HRC failed to do, follow their Party leader in to the White House.    If  President Trump is not worthy to shine the golf shoes of the Gipper he is not worthy to clean the boats Bush 41 used to relax and fish.   One can only hope that he will be Presidential at the Bush Funeral and does not say that Bush 41 voted for HRC.   A sad few days for the US. 

No Vote on Brexit Deal ? - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

This would be a major back down by the PM, she has been very stubborn in wanting this vote, when everyone else has been telling her that she will LOSE this vote.   It might be good strategy, as then the PM would control events, not events controlling her.   The EU must have gotten the fact that the present deal will not work or get passed the House of Commons.  Also it would give No 10 time to come up with something else and return some order to the House of Commons, well at least the Conservative Party.   The Conservative Party does not FEAR the PM, backbench MPs are normally kept in line by the fear of the Chief Whip and the PM, most MPs want to get in to Government some time. 

No Deal Not ruled out by the PM - Brexit Update - Post Brexit

Sky News:  Reports in its 4.32pm post the following, " May again refuses to rule out 'no deal'..The PM is challenged by Lib Dem MP and the party's Brexit spokesperson Tom Brake to rule out no deal...She refuses to, saying: "I have negotiated a good deal for the UK with the EU."

Lets Get Real:

It is agreed that on December 11th the PM will lose her bid to get the Brexit Deal passed by the House of Commons, then WHAT?  The Labour Party will go for a no confidence vote in the Government, even the HARD REMAINERS will not want to face a general election, the DUP will never want Jeremy Corbyn in power, he wants a united Ireland, then what, the Government has a few weeks to make the deal better with the EU.   The question is will the EU deal or will the UK have to walk away, that is anyone's guess.   Of course the HARD REMAINERS and the DUP might have lost the PLOT and vote for a general election, these days every option is on the table. 

Doctor Who Review - It Takes You Away

Doctor Who News: Reports " Doctor Who: It Takes You Away was watched by 5.07 million viewers, a share of 25.1% of the total TV audience, according to unofficial overnight figures.  "

Lets Get Real:

The Doctor and the TARDIS crew landed in modern day Norway, there were in a Forest, the Doctor and the crew decided to investigate a mysterious house, in the House there was a ( spoiler ).   The original threat seem to come from the outside of the House, it was later discovered that the threat had been made by ( spoiler ).   The Doctor worked out that the House was connected to another universe by a mirror.    The Tardis crew and the Doctor went through a buffer zone, the zone connected our World with the other Universe, there were threats in the zone, they were killer ( spoiler ).   The Tardis Crew faced those they had lost, it was very moving, the Doctor in the end had to get her companions to get the fact that their lost ones were not real and were a threat to our World.   The Doctor ended up talking to a frog, ( spoiler ).   The Clip from next week had a voice that sounded very familiar from the Doctor's history, interesting.   Another must see show from the new Doctor Who season.
