Did POTUS LIE about Military advise when it came to Afghanistan ?- Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

Thus the TRUTH comes out, the mess that was Afghanistan and the withdrawal was down to President Biden, thus confirming what the former Defence Secretary Robert Gats stated his memoir, POTUS has not been right about foreign policy and national security for 40 years.  Did the Biden Oval really think that they could hide the FACT that the General has advised POTUS to keep US troops in Afghanistan, and if the US had done this, then the Kabul Government would not have fallen and girls and women would have kept their freedoms.  The Republicans should make great play of this, a President who went against the advise of his Generals, and thus made a massive strategic error.  One really has to ask is Biden fit to be President, one hopes after the Mid Terms if the Republicans take the House and the Senate that they have joint committee to investigate if Biden is FIT to be the President and Commandeering Chief of US Forces.

Labour Party loses Union support - Sir Keir Starmer/Labour Party Conference

Lets Get Real:

This does not look good, as the article notes the Union was part of the foundation of the Labour Party 119 years ago.  They Union blames the Leadership for having this row with the left wing, in other words the Union is LEFT.  This and the resignation of the Shadow Employment Minister from the Shadow Cabinet yesterday shows the Labour Party at war with itself.   A lot of Labour Members are from the left and were bought in by the Corbyn Era, they NOW see that Party becoming a New, New Labour Party, let's be clear, Sir Keir is no Tony Blair with the best will in the World, Blair had charisma to spare, and Sir Keir could do with some charisma. The Leader's speech tomorrow has been called Sir Keir's high noon, he really needs to hit out of the Park, it will be interesting to see the speech and the reaction.

Starmer vs. The Left over Living Wages level - Sir Keir Starmer/ Labour Party Conference

Lets Get Real:

This is a good row for Starmer to have, he can make himself look the moderate taking on the LABOUR LEFT WING and their demands for excessive wage increases, as the motion before the Labour Party conference is not binding then Starmer can leave it out of the 2024 General Election manifesto or add it the economic outlook is better.  Of course the worry for the Labour Party is that the Conservatives might nick it as a good idea, the Labour position is for 10 pound a hour, the Conservatives could offer more, lets say 12 pound, if the economy and business can manage that, let's recall there is a lot of small companies out there, with a few workers, and a 15 pound living wage would simply be to much for them, they would either lose workers or go out of business.  On the whole not a bad week for Starmer, he has made it difficult for the Labour Left to challenge him by reforming the rules and also helped his MPs, by requiring a 50% of Labour members in Seats to vote before the MP can be challenged.   The Deputy Leader has gotten herself in the mud, never call the Opposition scum, what does that make the voters.   Also the left has shown their hand, and have failed to throw Starmer of course, he has to make a great speech on Wednesday, or he could be told his time is up, Labour wants to win the next election.
