Guardian: Reports " The day we discovered our parents were Russian spies...For years Donald Heathfield, Tracey Foley and their two children lived the American dream. Then an FBI raid revealed the truth: they were agents of Putin’s Russia. Their sons tell their story"
Lets Get Real:
This is an article you should read, the actual events are a few years old now, but it was shocking at the time, Russian Spies living the US dream. It helped in the development of the The Americans spy show about Russians living as every day citizens. The article and the TV series does make you wonder about the morality of the SPY parents, in less Moscow told them to have children it was their choice, and they get shipped back to Russia, while the kids are in LIMBO, the parents should have thought on how it would end, the CIA, NSA are not stupid, the idea that you can spend years as a intelligent operative working in the West and not expect to get caught shows a lack of thinking. As to the fate of the kids it does seem harsh to remove their passports and their rights, on the other hand it was their parents that created this mess, one would think that the parents should feel very guilty at their choices.
