BBC News: Reports on remarks made by the new UK PM David Cameron that he wants to see the UK out of Afghanistan by the next UK General Election in 2015 but does not want a firm timetable. The UK is holding out for the next move by the Obama Administration, it can be postulated that PM Cameron would really like to get out of Afghanistan but is stuck in till the Oval starts to withdraw. After the sacking of General McChrystal the President has stated that the US policy in Afghanistan will not change, thus the Obama timetable for a 2011 withdraw will meet with the reality on the ground, Obama can not afford to lose Afghanistan to the Taliban/Al Qaeda, if the Mid Term Congressional Elections go really downhill for Obama he will face a Republican House and Senate that will not allow him to make Afghanistan another South Vietnam, thus the US and the UK will be in Afghanistan for years folks.
A look at the Politics of the United States and the UK. The Foreign Policies of both countries and how they behave in the International Community.
