How Senators Manchin and Sinema KEPT their Word over the Filibuster - Biden Era

It has been clear for months that Senators Manchin and Sinema would not vote to gut the filibuster rule in the US Senate, they have KEPT their word, it seems that the Democratic Senators cannot count or read, why bring something up if your going to LOSE, the easy answer is that the BASE of the Democratic Party wanted and the Majority Leader does not want to face a primary fight with AOC, the left wing firebrand.  The White House has spent weeks trying to convince these Senators and it failed, it didn't even try to get Republicans, Senator Romney stated that he had not gotten a call from the White House.  The Democrats were trying a power snatch, taking election from under the control of State and making them FEDERAL, at the end of the day it was crass politics, the US Senate deserves better than that from its majority.

Lets Get Real:

The presser if your in the Ukraine will leave you in a state of sock, the Western line had been that any attack on the Ukraine would mean drastic and severe sanctions by the West on Russia, more than it had been in 2014.  The idea of a minor invasion would lead to a different reaction and arguments between the Allies will be seen by Kremlin as stated a a green light to invade and that as long a they keep the noise down in the neighbourhood then the US and its NATO allies will do something minor in reaction.  The FACT that the White House had to CLEAR and CLEAN this up shows how badly Biden had done at the presser, thus if PUTIN does attack the Biden White House will be forced to act or face calls of being appeasers, no one comes back from that.  As stated in previous post, the Biden Oval does not want to be compared to  Neville Chamberlain the appeasing PM of the 1930s or JFK for selling out Turkey in 1962 to end the Cuban Missile Crisis.  If your a Democrat strategist you are thinking, who on the Democratic Bench would be a good candidate for the 2024 Democratic nomination.  Politics is a brutal business.

"

Lets Get Real:

Thus above we see POTUS giving the green light for Russia to do a minor invasion of the Ukraine, small enough for Russia to get what it wants, one presumes the EAST of the Ukraine, but leaving KIEV and the rest of Western Ukraine ALONE.  The President states above that there will be fight between the ALLIES if it is a minor invasion, thus no matter what the White House Press Secretary states or the VP the words will come back to haunt Biden.  The liberal media gave the Gipper a HARD TIME, well one hopes that the MEDIA will go after Biden for the above remarks, it is an open invite to invade the Ukraine, as long as it is not too loud.  The above remarks undercut the tough word out of the White House and the Administration, Putin will like his chances, of course the above remarks might force Biden to ACT, he does not want to be seen as Neville Chamberlain.  One really has doubts that Biden will run in 2024, he will be ancient by then and less there.

The White House: Statement by the White House Press Secretary on the US policy towards a Russian invasion of the Ukraine, " President Biden has been clear with the Russian President: If any Russian military forces move across the Ukrainian border, that’s a renewed invasion, and it will be met with a swift, severe, and united response from the United States and our Allies. President Biden also knows from long experience that the Russians have an extensive playbook of aggression short of military action, including cyberattacks and paramilitary tactics. And he affirmed today that those acts of Russian aggression will be met with a decisive, reciprocal, and united response.  "

Lets Get Real:

POTUS really messed up his presser when it came to the Ukraine, he implied that a minor Russian incursion would require a limited US and Western action, also implied that NATO was not united.  EVEN CNN has been leading with this story, the general view is that President Biden was speaking as if he was still a Senator, in other words his words did not matter, but as President HIS words do matter. The CNN Kiev reporter was getting messages that the Ukraine Government was shocked by the statement by Biden that US and Western action would be limited by a minor invasion by Russia.   Thus BIDEN really needs to get a new CHIEF OF STAFF, you do not let the boss out if he does not know what NOT TO SAY.  Thus ANY MILITARY ACTION by Russia will now call on the Biden Oval to take forceful action, otherwise the Biden mess will be seen as giving a GREEN LIGHT for Russia to invade.
