This is just the Russians playing up again, if its not nuclear threats it is this, there will always be communication between the US and Russia, they are nuclear armed and there is a need to prevent accidents.  The Russians thought they would have an early victory in the Ukraine, they FAILED, the Russians have the manpower, while the West has the weapons.   The Russian losses has be counted as high as eight thousand, this shows had badly the WAR has gone for Russia.   At least in the First Cold War, there were adults in the room, there is no one alive in the Kremlin to tell Putin to back off, there are reports that he is ill, but this has not been confirmed.  The Russians made a massive mistake by going in to the Ukraine, one does really wish for Palace Coup in the Kremlin, someone who will arrest Putin and get Russia back on the road to democracy.

The blogger watched the remarks by the Russian Foreign Minister, half way through this blog hard to change the channel, the Foreign Minister is on another planet, he is not even in our GALAXY, the remarks were well of base, it was the ALL FAULT OF THE US, and it was the US making the demands and using the Ukraine as a base.  One hopes when the mics are off that the Foreign Minister knows that he is talking crazy talk and is pure BS.   One does wonder do the Russian people really believe this BS from the Kremlin, they must know they are being lied too, how many black body bags does it take, and bodies sent from the Ukraine in trains.  It has been reported that Russian Intelligence think that Putin has not long for this earth and that he has a terminal illness, it would explain a lot about his lack of judgement when it comes to the Ukraine, let's hope he does not want to take the World with him when dies through starting World War 3.

The Russians are unhappy, not great news, this is the last thing that the Kremlin wanted, the point of invading the Ukraine was to STOP them become part of NATO.  The Russian Invasion and WAR CRIMES means that Finland and Sweden have decided that their security is better in NATO than out, they have seen what Russian has done to the Ukraine and they want protection, the Turks have cast doubt on the applications, the Biden Oval has to INFORM them that they will support the move, or else, they are out of NATO.  One can presume that Putin has had words with Turkey and Hungary, both will have to be put in their place by the US and the rest of NATO.  The USSR was a great evil power, while modern Russia is not even a third rate power, its ARMY has shown that it is inept and WAR CRIMINALS.  Following orders will not be accepted by Courts, that will happen when the Putin Regime is no longer in power.

As most of of the military equipment over land, thus one can expect the FSB and their own Intelligence network will be working to see what comes through and the amount, the Russians will never dare attack Poland as an example, that would escalate the WAR in to WORLD WAR 3, thus the West has to find secure ways in to the Ukraine, but routes that do not allow the Russians to know what to attack and when.  Also the drivers should not be NATO drivers, that would be a to tempting target for the Russians.  There is coming a major war in the East Ukraine, the West has to make sure that the Kyiv Government has all the arms and weapons it needs. This blog got it WRONG, it never thought that Putin would invade, but his recent speeches have shown that he just might have gone crazy, he has been in power for decades, Absolut Power Corrupts.  The Ukraine is being invaded from Belarus, Russia and Crimea, numerous Cities in the Ukraine are facing missile waves.  The Russian Army it is reported has sent in its tanks, there have been further reports of tough fighting in the East.  The World has condemned Russian ACTIONS, but the question is what next, one can expect tough sanctions, ones that brings the Russian people and economy to its knees.  The question is will that have any consequences on Putin, if he has gone crazy the answer is NO.  Thus the West, in the shape of the US and UK will have to supply arms and weapons to any insurgency in the Ukraine, the West has to make the Ukraine invasion the new Afghanistan for Putin.  Any supply of weapon will need routes, either road or air, that might bring NATO in to direct contact with Russia, thus World War 3.  This is going to be a cold hard time for the West, it can be expected that Russia will cut back on its gas export to Europe, inflation and food prices will go up.  The West has to keep it nerve, Putin cannot be allowed to WIN.

Finally the Biden Oval has woken up, thus the LEADER of the FREE WORLD, should start with heavy sanctions, one that hits Putin's rich friends but also the poor people of Russia, the kind of sanctions that make people weep.  Russia should be forced out of the Western economy, make trading with Russia the last thing any wants to do, one has to take one's hat off to Germany, the blocked the GAS PIPELINE between Russia and Germany, brave move as Germany gets a lot of gas from Russia.  Thus once the US takes HARSH ACTION, then the rest of the West will follow, let's make Putin think again by this latest adventure, it might stop him, if that does not work then the West has to support a massive insurgency in the Ukraine against the Russians, make them send a lot of body bags back to Russia, make Russian mothers weep.  This might get Russian people on the street and demonstrating against the Putin Regime.  IT is sad, but might be needed.

Thus the WAR HAS ALREADY STARTED, the UK Government should inform the Russian Foreign Ministry that their military calenderer is KNOWN and that the Russian Government will pay a price for this WAR.  There is still hope, if you trust the French know what they are doing and not being played by the Russians.  It is reported that the the Ukraine forces in the East of Ukraine have not replied to the various East Ukrainian ATTACKS on their positions or towns.  How long can the Kiev Government wait, there come a time, when you have to take the sword out and react, otherwise the Russian forces will walk ALL OVER Ukraine and arrive in Kiev, once tanks start moving over the BORDER then the WAR HAS STARTED.  One really hopes that the Ukraine people fight a harsh insurgency against the Russians, make them pay if they attack. The UK PM is right, the West should not celebrate YET, lets see if the Russians remove their new bases on the Russian border, around hundred thousand troops and air support.  Also will the Russians remove their troops from Belarus after the military games, also the troops in the Crimea have moved from the old bases to new bases on the border, that is a short distance to remove their troops.   Putin one doubts is going to go back to his bear cave, he has see that the West has reacted as one when it comes to the Ukraine, this might have been a surprise to him, he might have expected some links weak links in the Allies.  As has been noticed in his meetings with other World Leaders and his own Ministers, he keeps them at a great distance, one is starting to question the information he is getting and from who, his kitchen cabinet could be telling him what he want to HEAR, that is a problem.  Thus the West has to keep its eyes and ears open, the Russian Bear might RAW back to life and fast.

The US should be sending troops to the Ukraine, sending troops to NATO Countries only protects those Countries, and one has to assume that Putin is not mad enough to attack a NATO Country.  Thus a attack on the Ukraine looks more likely, the West has stated it will not send troops to the Ukraine, and it can be said in Russian history books, that Putin has reunited the Ukraine with the Russia writ large.   Of course the sending of the troops could be used by Putin a PR, he can argue falsely that NATO is the threat and that Moscow is reacting, that is the problem when you are dealing with the cyber world, by the time a lie is stated it is around the World and some simple folk will believe it, one hopes Twitter will block Putin, as all he says are lies.   At the Biden Oval is moving, not enough, but then you have to be grateful for some action by Biden.

The above is FALSE, NATO is a defensive body, it will not start a WAR but will react to an invasion of a member, the Ukraine is not a member.  The Kremlin is skilled at LIES, the only aim for Putin is to reform the OLD USSR or the Russian Empire.  The invasion of the Crimea in 2014 was illegal, before that it was 2008 and parts of Georgia.  The question that has to be asked is what does Putin want, he knows that his demands will not be meet, if NATO agreed it was lose all its authority.  The Putin aim is to cause division within NATO, yesterday the Hungarian PM was in Moscow, he got cheaper gas, he is holding the threat of NO GAS for Germany if it goes along with sanctions.  The UK and the US should react if they had stronger leaders, the placement of US/UK troops in the West of Ukraine would stop Putin in his tracks.  Thus World is suffering by not having strong leaders.  Churchill and Reagan will be turning in their graves at this Ukraine Crisis.

The UN is not the place to solve a international crisis, its the place to go through the motions, show that you have tried, the Kremlin wants NATO to say that the Ukraine will never join NATO and NATO troops in Eastern European States in NATO will have them removed.  The Kremlin wants to go back to pre 1997, they want to influence EASTERN EUROPE.  The Russian Demands cannot be met by the West, it would destroy NATO.  Thus this crisis can end in two ways, the Kremlin under Putin tucks its tail behind its legs and returns troops to their bases or they invade.  The placement of around one hundred and thirty thousand troops, air and navy personnel means that it looks like WAR.  It just a matter of waiting for the land to get hard on the border for the Russians tanks to MOVE.  One hopes the Ukraine people will FIGHT unlike the people of Afghanistan, and that the West will support any insurgence against Russia, like Afghanistan after 1979.

The US, French, UK leaders all want the CREDIT if Putin backs off, none are willing to go that extra step and place troops in the Ukraine.  If the US or the UK placed troops in Western Ukraine the Russians would back off in a minute, they do not want a nuclear war over the Ukraine, and a nuclear war is not in the long term plans of Putin.  The SAD fact is that neither the US or UK have a Reagan, Churchill or Thatcher in charge, one can see those leaders taking charge and doing something, not just reacting to the moves of Putin.  One must assume that Putin is loving the attention of the West, visits by Ministers and calls with Heads of States.  Putin knows that the West is WEAK and FECKLESS with leaders to match. Neither Biden or Johnson has the majority support of the people in their home countries, thus they do not have the nerve to place troops in the Ukraine to WARN OFF Putin.

One does really hope that the people of the Ukraine will fight if the Russians invade, after the debacle that was Afghanistan, were the Government dissolved and the President ran away, the West after supporting the Ukraine with lethal arms cannot afford to be WRONG AGAIN, from what one can see from reports people are getting ready to FIGHT, even Old age pensioners, the question is if the Ukraine Army have to fight a insurgence how will they be supported, will the West fly in supplies or try to take them over the border by trucks, will the Russians be warned not to attack Western supply planes, tricky.  Putin is old enough to remember Afghanistan after 1979, and how the US under the Reagan Administration supported the insurgence against Moscow, and how the USSR left Afghanistan in 1989, the failure in Afghanistan was seen as part of the reason that the USSR fell.  If Putin has a failure in Ukraine, could he be overthrown or even better arrested and face trial in Russia.  Everyone has a reason to win, non one can afford to lose in this Ukraine Crisis.
