The Russians started the information War on the Ukraine offensive, they stated that they had rebuffed a Ukraine advance, this made Kyiv start to give out information.  The we enter the fog of WAR, no side can trusted with the truth, in this case the Russian Bear has major form with LIES, at least Kyiv can be trusted with the TRUTH, the main epicentre of the WAR is Bakhmut, the Russians have taken the City, now the Kyiv forces want it back.  The truth of the Ukraine offensive will be seen after a few days, Kyiv has to show its people its winning and to impress the Western allies that the use of Western kit is working. The Russians have gotten out very fast, a bit to fast, it does leave one with the suspicion that Putin is up to something no good, he could use the new Russian positions to fire at Kherson day and night, he could have placed Russian Special Forces in Kherson to cause havoc when the Ukraine troops come in to the area.  Also we have to look at the extreme, that a dirty bomb could be tested in Kherson, on the logic, if Russian cannot have it, then the Ukraine Forces will have to deal with a radiation falling on them.  The Ukraine Forces will also have to deal with Russians who have not gotten over the river, will they fight or swim for it, thus can be taken out by Ukraine drones.  The Russia Bear is sneaky, it will react to this defeat, also Putin has to show that he is STRONG MAN, he will do something nasty in the future.  This is one of the worst moments in in Russian history, and that includes the USSR invasion of Afghanistan in 1979.

The Ukraine Forces should be careful when they enter Kherson, there could be Russian Soldiers in ordinary clothes ready to shoot at them, also there might be mines placed around Kherson, it will take time to clear the City of these threats.  Also the Ukraine Forces should be ready for the Russian Forces to shoot missiles at Kherson from their new defence position, this is just over the Dnipro River, also one has to keep in mind that the Russians just might use a dirty bomb in Kherson, and try to blame the Ukraine Force.  One can see why the Biden Oval is trying to get the KYIV Gov to talk to Putin's Russia, the Russian leader might want a way out that it not a total disgrace, the Kyiv Government should be clear with the West that it will not be pushed around, the Ukraine Government wants ALL of its land back, and that includes the CRIMEA.  The Winter will come soon, then battles should cease due to the winter, the Russian Army will need to be rebuilt, the new troops should be trained before being sent in to battle.  The Ukraine Forces special forces should try to hit the Russians at their back, this is a long WAR OF ATTRITION.

In a 2nd wave of attacks on the Ukraine, the Russians are hitting infrastructure, they want to prevent the people of the Ukraine getting heat in winter, light during the winter darkness.  The Russians, well more to the point Putin knows he is on borrowed time, the Russian policy is even getting critical reaction on Russian News, of course the criticism is of the Army and not of Putin, the commentators do not want to fall from windows, that is the common fate of those that are critical of Putin or being sent to Siberia, if WW3 does come that would be the safest place to stay, that is were Putin has sent his daughter, for her own safety and to keep her off social media.  The West has to increase its defence equipment to the Ukraine, the Russians are on the back foot in the East and South of Ukraine, the pressure must be kept up, this is the chance for the Ukraine to defeat Russia, Winter is coming soon, and both forces could be stopped in their tracks on the battlefield while Russia can still use its cruise missiles, depending how much missiles they have left in store, they cost six hundred million a shot.  Time is running OUT for Putin.

The most important part of the readout with the exception usual words of support, is the promise to keep the Ukraine update with advanced air defense system, this will help the Ukraine to take down cruise missile attacks from long distance Russian sites.  It will be interesting to see if the missile attacks carry on, it has been reported that one cruise missile costs six hundred million, not a cheap way to carry on a war.  As the new Russian Commander made his name with these tactics in Syria, one can expect more air attacks on the Ukraine, the Kremlin wants to make the Ukraine people pay for the success of their forces in the East and South.   Thus Biden has confirmed his past position, he is tied to the Ukraine, so cannot sellout the Ukraine, even if he wanted too, let's be honest who can trust him after Afghanistan, past US Presidents had promised support for Afghanistan, Biden the word of the US there, the Biden Oval needs to keep the Congress if it is to carry on with its support for the Ukraine, Trump candidates are not keen on supporting the Ukraine, they are following their leader on this policy, if the Republicans take one of the Chambers in the Congress, the funding of the WAR could be in danger!

Even in Russia the success of Ukraine Forces has been noted and the general opinion is that the Russian Defence Department has let Putin down.  The Ukrainian Forces are fighting for their Country, the Russians are fighting for Putin's ego, that is not something you can explain at the Pearly gates if you get killed in Ukraine.  The question is what will Putin do in reaction, he has gotten men from prison and those walking the street to fight for his WAR.  At what point does Putin go nuclear, it can be argued that Putin if he wants to, could drop a low level nuclear bomb on the areas that the Ukrainian Forces have retaken, he might think if Russia cannot have them, then no one will, its always an option he has, would he do something like that, that is a open question.  How would the West react should Putin go nuclear, that would change the game in the Ukraine, that would bring in NATO, the War in the Ukraine is not over yet.

The Kyiv Government has the US and its Allies on its side, thus one would assume they are getting military advice, one can assume the US NSA and CIA will be keeping the KYIV up to date on the the positions of Russian Forces in the North.  The Russians do not have that many allies, and thus it find itself according to reports with Putin talking to Soldiers on the ground as he does not trust the competence of his Generals.  The Russian Army has to deal with the fact that Russian conscripts do not want to fight in the Ukraine, and thus Russia is getting prisoners and others on the street to sign up, that kind of move never ends well. If Putin had a brain cell he would ask for PEACE TERMS, and to stop the advance of the Ukraine forces, he major defeat could cost him his job.

This is a CLEAR WARNING to Russia that the UK is in for the long term and will not betray the KYIV Government, this is not 1938 and the Ukrainian people are not the Czechs of Munich 1938.  The Russian Army is making advances in the Donbas, they are gradually gaining ground, the Ukrainian Army is making the Russian pay for every inch of ground in the East, the problem is that the Russians have millions of men they can throw in to the meat grinder of the Donbas war, also they have closer connection between their men and rearming, food, water.   The Kyiv needs heavy weapons from the West, the West, in this case the UK and the US have really supported KYIV, but now comes the HARDER part, the WAR will be long term, and the West cannot get bored, the people of the Ukraine needs us to prevent the carving up of their COUNTRY by Russia.  Time is of the essence.

Yesterday POTUS stated he would not send long range missiles, NOW he does, one does wish the White House Staff would prevent POTUS from talking, he makes himself look a idiot and on the decline.  This is a good move by the Biden Oval, the fight in the DONBAS is HARD, and the Russians are gaining ground and cities, the West must prevent the Russian absorbing South East Ukraine in to Russia.  The Russians have the manpower while the West has the technology to prevent the Russians in their tracks.  The West has to make Russia pay for this invasion, that means and it is harsh to say, Russian body bags being sent back to Russia, the Kyiv Government has hundreds of dead Russian Soldiers that the Kremlin wont take back, the mothers of Russia need to see the truth of the WAR, and get on to the street and followed by the rest of the Russian population before Putin does something stupid with WMD. 

UK will defend Finland and Sweden if ATTACKED - Russian - Ukraine War - New Cold War 2

The Kremlin has made threatening noises should Finland and Sweden join NATO.  This move by the UK PM is a clear message to Putin to, BACK OFF, if the democracies decide to join NATO then they will protected by Article 5, an attack on one is an attack all, the point of applying and becoming a member could be a time for the Russians to attack Finland, the Country shares a LONG BORDER with Russia.  The last time Russia attacked Finland it was given a bloody nose, this shows that small Countries take on a larger Country.  In the modern era this is what the Ukraine is doing against Russia.  One hopes the Russian Bear has not to be taught another bloody lesson by Finland and the UK.

The speech was the biggest anti climax of this CENTURY, the West and commentators were thinking Putin would go big, declare war on the Ukraine, declare war on NATO, something to keep the Russian people on board, and loyal, there was NOTHING, not even a cameo appearance by the destroyed City of Mariupol, the Russians having been cleaning up their crimes, it seems that the Kremlin was not happy how it would look.  Of course Putin has written the WEST out of WW2, also the FACT that Stalin made a non aggression pact with Hitler from August 1939 to 1941.   The Putin Special Military Operation is a stain on the Russian Army, not total, lets recall the RED ARMY raped thousands of German women at the end of WORLD WAR 2, a WAR CRIME in itself.   So Putin went quiet today, the same usual BS from Putin, that it was the fault of the Nazi's in the Ukraine and it was the WEST that was keeping the Kyiv Government going, so what will Putin do next, we still don't know, that might have been the point, one KGB always KGB.

It is always the Russians that bring up nuclear threat, either the President or the Foreign Minister, the foreign ministry official would better spend his/her time telling Putin off about his abrasive nuclear talks and threats.  The Russian land war was a disaster in the North, the Army showed itself to be inept and WAR CRIMINALS.  The new Russian plan is to go for East Ukraine and the whole of the South, it is also eyeing Moldova, they have fifteen hundred troops there, they could use them to attack Odesa just over the border.   The Ukrainian Army has moved forces to the border to prevent a attack from the rear.  The Kyiv needs fighter jets, and tanks, the WAR in the East will be more conventional and hand to hand combat, guerrilla tactics are less effective.   Ukraine has to WIN, for itself and the West.

The above remarks will be  used by Moscow, its will feed in to their message to the Russian people that the US and NATO are the enemy and that the US is backing Ukraine to the HILT.  The US wants to stop Putin from invading any other Country, such as the Baltic States and Poland.  The question is how far will Putin go to WIN.  There has been talk that he will use WMD, such as chemical weapons or low grade tactical nuclear weapons, US intelligence gives a 1% chance of that happening, but what if the WAR in the Ukraine goes on for ages, months and even years, how much long will Putin wait before he loses his judgement, one can postulated that he has already lost his sanity by going in to the Ukraine, there will be no more photo op with President Biden or other high ranking US or UK officials, no wants to find that they are accused of shaking hands with another Hitler.  The US is tied to Ukraine, it was thought that US was tied to Afghanistan, but with Biden as President you never know the outcome.

One hopes that the SAS ( Special Air Service ) is in the Ukraine, they will be able to teach the Ukrainian Soldiers how to use the heavy military equipment that the UK will be sending to help the Ukraine Army fight the Russians in the East and South Ukraine.  The Ukrainian Army will be need to taught how to create successful sabotage operations on land that is suited for Russian tanks, and how to cause havoc to Russian supplies.   The WAR in the Ukraine is going to last a long time, and now we know that the Russians want to take the whole of the South and East Ukraine.  If the Russians are allowed to do this, it would create a major threat to other NATO States.  The Baltic States have small Russian minorities, the Kremlin will want them back if they can be successful in the Ukraine, and the costs of Defence will hit the roof if NATO has to double its defensive line in the Baltic States and Poland and Germany.  Also if Finland and Sweden to join NATO, the Russians are sure to pull something to equal the score.  The next few weeks will be crucial for Europe and western security.

Thus it seems that President Putin has imperial ambitions, to recreate the OLD USSR or Imperial Russia, thus Russian threats on Finland.  Thus Western Leaders must think and plan for the WORSE, the West has to give the Kyiv Government ALL THE TANKS its needs and other heavy weapons.  If Putin takes the whole of the Southern Ukraine, the rest of what is left will be a basket case for the EU to deal with, the Russians would have taken ALL the ports of the Ukraine and made West Ukraine land locked.  Thus to prevent threats to other NATO States and States that might want to join NATO, the West has to dig deep and not grumble and think Western moves might upset President Putin.  This Munich 1938 ALL over again, but over a longer period, the Western  Leaders must not appease Putin, as he will take more and more.  In the UK Conservative MPs must not allow PM Johnson to be thrown out, he is the face of Western resistance to Putin, the Kremlin would be happy to see the back of Johnson.

It's taken Putin a MONTH and the sinking of his Black Sea flagship to work out that Russia cannot win as long as the West increase military support to the KYIV Government.  The sinking of the flagship means that the Russians have to keep their ships some distance from ODESSA, this will not help with an invasion from the sea.  The people of Russia are left with the either the Ship was manned by inept sailors or that Ukraine sank a ship that was built in the Ukraine in the first place.  The US and the UK has to increase military support, the Ukraine military need heavy military kit, such as tanks, jet fighters.  The more the WEST can increase the military support the more chance that the Russians will lose and this could be THREAT to Putin and his regime in Russia.

As Russia prepares to intensify its attack in the Donbas region, the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with the capabilities to defend itself....This new package of assistance will contain many of the highly effective weapons systems we have already provided and new capabilities tailored to the wider assault we expect Russia to launch in eastern Ukraine. These new capabilities include artillery systems, artillery rounds, and armored personnel carriers. I have also approved the transfer of additional helicopters. In addition, we continue to facilitate the transfer of significant capabilities from our Allies and partners around the world.....The steady supply of weapons the United States and its Allies and partners have provided to Ukraine has been critical in sustaining its fight against the Russian invasion. It has helped ensure that Putin failed in his initial war aims to conquer and control Ukraine. We cannot rest now. As I assured President Zelenskyy, the American people will continue to stand with the brave Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom.  "

Lets Get Real:

The Biden Administration must know its cheaper to supply Ukraine with what it needs than allow the Ukraine to FALL and have Putin breathing down NATO's neck in the Baltic States or just over the border from Poland.  Thus the US policy has worked so far, but and there is always a but, the ground in the EAST UKRAINE is more suited to tanks, there are reports of heavy rain over the next few days that should force the tanks to stay on the roads, that would allow the Ukrainian Forces to do guerrilla attacks on Russian forces.   The battle in East the Ukraine in the view of KYIV will be like World War 2, numerous tanks, military vehicles, thousands of Soldiers, and fighter jets,  the result of this battle could define the outcome of the WAR.  Putin wants to declare VICTORY on May 9th, the day that Russia celebrates the defeat of Nazi Germany, as stated in previous post it has been reported that Putin has ordered that the centre of MARIUPOL be cleared of the mess, the Kremlin wants good pictures as PR.  The Kyiv and the West has to spoil that outcome, the West cannot afford to give Putin a victory.  Thus Biden for national security reasons and its good politics, the Mid Terms are in November,  must give Kyiv WHAT IT WANTS, they are the force holding back the Russian WAR CRIMINAL ARMY.

As most of of the military equipment over land, thus one can expect the FSB and their own Intelligence network will be working to see what comes through and the amount, the Russians will never dare attack Poland as an example, that would escalate the WAR in to WORLD WAR 3, thus the West has to find secure ways in to the Ukraine, but routes that do not allow the Russians to know what to attack and when.  Also the drivers should not be NATO drivers, that would be a to tempting target for the Russians.  There is coming a major war in the East Ukraine, the West has to make sure that the Kyiv Government has all the arms and weapons it needs. This battle could decide the fate of Ukraine as a whole and the future of Western relationship with PUTIN's Russia.

The White House: Remarks by POTUS on the Russian - Ukraine War, " Your family budget, your ability to fill up your tank — none of it should hinge on whether a dictator declares war and commits genocide a half a world away.  "  POTUS later stated the following, " Yes, I called it genocide.  It has become clearer and clearer that Putin is just trying to wipe out the idea of even being — being able to be Ukrainian.....And the amount — the evidence is mounting.  It’s different than it was last week.  The — more evidence is coming out of the — literally, the horrible things that the Russians have done in Ukraine.  And we’re going to only learn more and more about the devastation....And we’ll let the lawyers decide internationally whether or not it qualifies, but it sure seems that way to me.  "

At the Biden White House did not try to walk the above comments back, thus the next question is, what is POTUS going to do to STOP Genocide in the Ukraine.  There is a report that the Russians have used chemical weapons in MARIUPOL, a place they have destroyed, this has not been confirmed by the US or the UK.  The Kyiv Government now faces a MAJOR WAR in the East, there will be a lot of tanks and fighters jets in the action, the West has to supply KYIV with what they need, Putin cannot be allowed to have his celebration day on May 9th.  It has been reported that the Kremlin has ordered that the CENTER of Mariupol be cleaned up for the day of victory.   The US and the UK must do everything they can to prevent this, if Putin wins in the Ukraine then the Baltic States, and Poland come under THREAT from Putin.  The West needs the battle for the Ukraine to remain in the Ukraine, if Putin wins he knows he can try it again with Finland WHO might become a member of NATO after the WAR in the Ukraine.
