Sky News: Reports in its 9.45am post that   US intelligence has a negative view of Putin ambitions, he wants the WHOLE of the Ukraine and even States in NATO.

Putin wants the USSR back, he has stated the dissolution of the USSR was the greatest tragedy of the 20th Century, he seems to have forgotten WW1, WW2, the holocaust.  Let's be clear, Putin wants Imperial Russia back, that would include Finland and the Baltic States.   PUTIN has fooled numerous President of the US going back to Bush 43, the exception was Biden.  The Russian War machine thought Ukraine would be a walk over, it was not, even with Trump in the White House.

The invasion of the Ukraine by Russia has forced Finland and Sweden to join NATO for their own protection, this is not what Russia wanted, the very action that Putin wanted to avoid has happened, NATO has grown stronger and will feed Ukraine with ammo, the Ukraine  Army needs more ammo, its fighting power had been reduced by the lack of new ammo from the West and the US. The Russians have endless manpower, the Germans found that OUT in World War 2, the Russians had thought they had a deal with Nazi Germany, Hitler invaded in 1941, and nearly got to Moscow, if the Russians had waited and joined the Western Allies, the history of the period could been very different. Putin is another Hitler, has to be STOPPED in the Ukraine.

The Helsinki is paying the price of the Ukraine - Russia War and its entry in to NATO, the troops of Finland will have to check the cargo to make sure that the Russians do not place migrants in the cargo, also Putin might think that he US and Europe is tired of the War, Germany might want that Kyiv starts to have talks with Russia, the price will be steep, the Russians would hold the land they have taken over, while KYIV will want to join NATO and the EU as the price of giving up land.   This kind of loss could make POTUS weak 2024, that is what the Russians and its axis of EVIL want, are we seeing the 1930s again, Europe weak when faced by EVIL, and the US voters getting tired of supporting Europe.  If this leads to WW3 do not be shocked, the Gods do not give 2nd warnings.

The Russians should recall the Finish War of 1940, when the Russians in military terms had their backsides kicked, although they won the war in the end.

One does wonder if Turkey gave way after the Turkish President met POTUS, let's be honest its up to the US who comes in to NATO, not Turkey, it seems that Finland and Sweden have given the TURKS a face saving way out, one is sure they could have gotten that without all the fuzz.  The Russians will not be happy, they have threatened to place new missiles on the Finish border, the Fins have a big army, they have learnt from their WAR WITH RUSSIA in 1940.  Thus Putin has made NATO BIGGER, given it a new role, to contain a EVIL REGIME, and also the Germans are going to spend billions on their armed forces.  This is a GOOD DAY for the WEST and a very bad day for Russia.

This is not what Putin's Russia wanted, it wanted a easy victory in the Ukraine and move closer to EU and NATO Countries, it did not expect the WEST to rearm the Ukraine Army and keep the Ukraine in the WAR.  Also Sweden and Finland have asked to join NATO, the UK and US have given security guarantees to both Countries should Turkey play the spoiler, they will be at WAR if Russia invades, and it doe not matter what they think, if the US and the UK in action so will be NATO and Turkey does not have a VETO over that.  The Russians have gained ground in South East Ukraine, the worry for the West is that Putin will declare victory and then it will be down to the carved up state to go in to a long WAR of attrition with Russia in the East.  The Biden OVAL and UK PM Boris could do with a victory, they are under pressure at home.

Finland has shown that it is willing to take political and domestic hit as a EU member and friend of Ukraine.  The question has to be asked, WHY? is Germany not following this trend.  The German economy would suffer if they halted taking gas from Russia, but they money they are sending to Russia is BLOOD MONEY, they are paying for the Russians to carry on their illegal WAR in the UKRAINE.  The EU has to be united on this policy, the EU should back up those Countries that stop paying for Russian GAS, that would HURT RUSSIA and STOP them doing WAR CRIMES in the Ukraine.  The War in the Ukraine, is a WAR of attrition, the Russians have endless supply of men, while the West can keep the Ukraine up to date when it comes to WEAPONS, the West has to ware down Russia, make the COST to much for the Russian people, and Russia mothers, do they want to see their sons come back in black body bags.  Putin must LOSE in the Ukraine and be seen to LOSE.

Putin by his illegal WAR in the Ukraine has united NATO, added new members to NATO, increased Western spending on defence up to 2%, also shown why NATO is needed in Europe.  This shows the lack of support for NATO by Corbyn and Trump was miss placed.   Also the Ukraine has been supplied with enough weapons to push the Russians back to their border.  One has to worry when does Putin start to use WMD, how back against the WALL can be pushed.

It seems the RUSSIAN BEAR has woken up and worked out that with the problems with the Ukraine he might as well accept that Sweden and Finland are about to join NATO.  The mess in the Ukraine is down to Putin, he thought it would be a walk over, according to reports the head of the Russian Intelligence is out of favour, it seems the FSB told Putin what he wanted to HEAR, it seems that Russians have learned nothing from the IRAQ WAR of Bush 43 and Tony Blair.  Both Sweden and Finland have been given security guarantees by the UK and others if Russian tries something on before these two countries become member of NATO they are covered AGAINST ANY ATTACK BY Russia.  Putin has achieved what he did not want, a UNITED NATO, an increase in Western Defence spending, more Countries wanting to join NATO, and the West supporting Ukraine with what it need to push the Russians all the way back to their border in the North.  Putin legacy will be one of the loss of Russian democracy and making Russia the WORLD'S NUMBER 1 ENEMY.

The blogger watched the remarks by the Russian Foreign Minister, half way through this blog hard to change the channel, the Foreign Minister is on another planet, he is not even in our GALAXY, the remarks were well of base, it was the ALL FAULT OF THE US, and it was the US making the demands and using the Ukraine as a base.  One hopes when the mics are off that the Foreign Minister knows that he is talking crazy talk and is pure BS.   One does wonder do the Russian people really believe this BS from the Kremlin, they must know they are being lied too, how many black body bags does it take, and bodies sent from the Ukraine in trains.  It has been reported that Russian Intelligence think that Putin has not long for this earth and that he has a terminal illness, it would explain a lot about his lack of judgement when it comes to the Ukraine, let's hope he does not want to take the World with him when dies through starting World War 3.

The Russians are unhappy, not great news, this is the last thing that the Kremlin wanted, the point of invading the Ukraine was to STOP them become part of NATO.  The Russian Invasion and WAR CRIMES means that Finland and Sweden have decided that their security is better in NATO than out, they have seen what Russian has done to the Ukraine and they want protection, the Turks have cast doubt on the applications, the Biden Oval has to INFORM them that they will support the move, or else, they are out of NATO.  One can presume that Putin has had words with Turkey and Hungary, both will have to be put in their place by the US and the rest of NATO.  The USSR was a great evil power, while modern Russia is not even a third rate power, its ARMY has shown that it is inept and WAR CRIMINALS.  Following orders will not be accepted by Courts, that will happen when the Putin Regime is no longer in power.

One can see why the Kremlin is WORRIED, the last thing they need is a WAR with Finland, the Ukrainian Army is giving the Russian Army a bloody nose, and it is reported that thousands of Russian Soldiers have been killed in the Ukraine, more than were killed in the 1979 - 1989 War in Afghanistan, the failure in Afghanistan is seen as one of the factors in the fall of the USSR.  Putin's Kremlin must know his regime is on the LINE, when the Russian people finally smell the coffee and see the disaster the WAR WITH THE UKRAIEN has been will they turn on the Regime, as the people did with the TSAR in 1917 and with the Coup plotters in 1991, this was the final nail in the coffin of the USSR.  Putin has gone through his nine lives, how much more failure can the Russian cope with, and when will they see through the BS.
