BBC News Reports that the Hamas Terrorist group has rejected an Israeli  ceasefire deal.

Lets Get Real:

Hamas is a terrorist group, they do not care about the people of Gaza, they use them as disposable bodies.  Israel has to disarm Hamas in Gaza, there cannot be another October 7th, a surprise and vicious attack on Israel.  The Hamas group took hostages, they seek to make Israel and its people suffer, they are a Terrorist group at the end of the day, and need to be wiped out.  Fortunately Israel has a strong leader and government.

Neither Israel or Hezbollah in Lebanon say they want a full scale war - YET - Middle East Crisis - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

This might be the first battle or the last, from reports the Israeli Air Force found Hezbollah preparing for an attack, but got there first.  The news wires reports that both sides want to end this before it goes to far, and gets the feeling that Iran does  not want a FULL SCALE WAR, as they would have to take on the US and its Allies they would lose in a straight battle.   Hezbollah has taken the first action, the question is will Iran follow through with its threats, thus far they have been a eunuch, more interested in the torture of their own citizens.   Thus let's hope that is the final battle for some time, the border skirmish between ISRAEL AND HEZBOLLAH, will go on at a lower level, not enough to start a war but irritation of the local people who live on the border.

This is Russia placing more pressure on Finland, would not be shocked if Russia creates an incident on the Finnish border, they seem to have forgotten the drubbing they got in the winter of 1940, and this time Finland in is NATO.  The Ukraine offensive has stalled in the Russian occupied land, it has become a war of attrition, very much like World War 1, also the story has fallen off the news agenda, the Republican House is balking at 60 billion aid, well POTUS better start talking to the new Republican Speaker and make a DEAL before the election process starts in earnest in 2024.  Thus the White House needs support for Israel and the Ukraine, a combined bill would help, but it needs to get through the House.  Tricky days for POTUS at 40% job approval.

The Russians are playing softball so far, there have been reports that the Russians have cut underwater lines, but no proof, the Kremlin is annoyed that Finland has joined NATO, they see that as a threat, it has surprised this blog that Russian during the World's gaze on Gaza has not stepped up its actions in Ukraine, that is why the White House wants extra aid for KYIV, the winter is coming, tougher for fighting, also next year we have the US Presidential Election and Russia will want Trump to win if he is not in jail at the time.    If Biden was younger, he would ever day campaigning on the issue, but he is his 80's, thus all his energy is on Gaza, thus room for Trump in 2024.

Long Post: Those kind to read this blog, might have noticed that this blog has not covered UK politics for a while.  The reason is simple, this blog agrees we are heading for an election in 2024/25 and that Labour under Sir Keir Starmer will win.  The Conservative Party under Boris left our loyal friends in Afghanistan with no protection, and we still have the boat problem, the Sunak Government does not want to deal with the issue.   Also after 13/14 years in power, the Conservatives are tired of Government and it will take a good political loss to shake the Party up, it will be like 1997 again, a huge Labour Majority, and in for 1 or 2 terms.

This blog supported the then PM Cameron during the coalition Government and the General Election of 2015, this blog broke with Cameron over his views on the EU, this was a Brexit blog and still is.  The Conservative Right will have to watch FCO under Cameron like a hawk, no weakening on our Brexit stand.  The FCO has always been weak, from appeasement to the EU, Lady Thatcher did not truest the FCO, and with good reason.  As a political move, WHY NOT, DC is good on the TV, still out there is the Gaza War and the Ukraine.  As stated the election will be next year, Labour will win, and DC will have a nice Seat in the House.  Not all political careers end in failure.

Thus another clear message to Iran, BACK OFF, Iran and their terrorist franchise  groups are hitting US troops in a regular manner, at some point Biden will be forced by Iran  to take the WAR to Iran, the Biden Oval has moved two carrier fleets in to the region, the Eisenhower and the Gerald R. Ford, should the Oval feels it has to hit Iran hard its has plenty choices.  POTUS must be worried that Iran will try something in 2024, declare it has the bomb or push Hezbollah to take the WAR to Israel.  The problem is that Biden is seen as weak, thus does not rise fear in the region.  The next few months will be interesting.

The Israeli PM has stated that there would be no pause as long as Hamas HELD HOSTAGES, well the release of 12 out of 240 seems mean, HAMAS it seems want to get rid of the Americans, taking American hostages was a mistake, this brings in the US and their aircraft carriers, who could help Israel in Gaza and also strike Iran should Tehran's franchise terrorist group in Lebanon start to make further trouble.   Hamas will want a long pause, to rebuild their group in Gaza and get ready for further strikes in Gaza from Israeli Planes after the pause.  The World Press would have access to Gaza and see the destruction done by Israel, thus more pressure for a ceasefire from the World Community.

Thus the Republicans will sell the message that they will FUND ISRAEL, while the Democrats will have to defend voting against it and supporting the IRS, that will go down well with voters.   How much further does POTUS want to fall in the polls, President wants to run for re-election, how long before senior Democrats start thinking about running against him.   If the polls are correct, then Biden is toast, the American people think he is to old and WRONG to often.  The American people support  funding Israel  but no the Ukraine, POTUS if he was younger would be out every day saying why Ukraine funding is important.  Putin cannot be allowed to win and Israel will always need the protection of the US and the West.

Israel has it reached its main goal, surrounding Gaza City, it has only has a few weeks, the Democrats in the US have gone wobbly, no shock in that, Biden has says he wants a pause, not a ceasefire, a ceasefire would allow HAMAS to rebuild its forces in Gaza, also Israel is losing the PR WAR to HAMAS.  The hostage is always in the background, its between 242-248.  Israel must find these hostages, or HAMAS might take drastic action, they understand that each hostage is of value, they might trade them with other terror groups or murder them to show the results of the bombing.  The Biden Oval is looking at the 2024 clock, they need either the Gaza War on the Ukraine - Russian war to have ended or Russia might test a nuclear weapon above ground.  Testing time for the White House, well Biden wanted the job.

In 1940 the then PM refused to do a peace deal with Nazi Germy, he was under pressure from the appeasers in the Cabinet, thus the Israeli PM must carry through with his WAR PLEDGE, the advice of the US President is important, but there are Israeli Lives that were taken on the 7th of October, there are many foreign nationals also taken and others killed.  Israel has to defend itself a ceasefire helps HAMAS, they have to be destroyed, very much like the old USSR or Putin's Government Regime in Russia, they are EVIL, the world does not need advice from Russia on the action in Gaza, the Ukraine did not invade Russia.  This is the time for the West to support ISRAEL, it failed the Jews in 1930 and 40s, lets recall 1400 Israeli's were killed, the last death total of that level was the holocaust, thus Israel has to fight, whatever the UN or the EU says, odd bods at the best!

The IDF attack on Hezbollah might be the more important, as they attacked the infrastructures of Hezbollah in Lebanon, as the old saying goes, uses it or lose it, and Iran might have to react, the West should be on ALERT for any talks  between Iran  and Lebanon.  The Israeli - Gaza WAR could take months, Iran knows that if it has the bomb it is protected, if not Israel and the West might have a go to reduce the chance of Iran getting the bomb.   Hamas wants its people to stay in the North of Gaza, this will cause problems for ISRAEL and the US and UK.  Israel should thinking about releasing the video of October 7th to the World, to show how evil HAMAS is.  As for the hostages, the Israeli PM and POTUS should think about 444 days, that is how long the US Diplomates were held in Iran, it cost Carter his 2nd term.

The Israeli - Gaza war could expand to include Iran's terrorist franchise groups in Syria and Lebanon, this could drag in the US, thus the reason the BIDEN OVAL has sent two aircraft carriers to the Middle East.  The US has warned Iran, to stay out, it really depends if Iran has got the bomb, if so trouble anyway, Israel and the US has made it clear it will never allow Iran to get the bomb, it would be a threat to the existence of Israel and a threat to the Middle East.   The question is will Iran allow Hamas to go down, and does it want to risk the same fate for its franchise group in Lebanon.   The time for an answer from Iran might come sooner than any one expects, even them, REAL POLITIC is a tough business, lets hope that the CIA and the NSA are on the ball in the US and the same for MI6 and CCHQ in the UK.

The Last few days have seen many stories from the Israeli - Gaza War, the Israel's IDF going in to the Gaza with tanks and troops then returning in the morning, over the past few hours ( the weekend  ) Israel has stayed in Gaza with tanks and troops and is taking out Hamas terrorists, there have been large demos against Israel around the WORLD, who knew Palestinians had such support, the most important is that the US and the UK supports Israel and its actions in Gaza.  It easy to do  demos, Guardian readers, odd bods such as Charities  and the LIBERAL LEFT turn out in droves, as expected.

As long as the US supports Israel it does not matter what the WORLD THINKS, Biden has no choice, he needs the Jews to vote for him, they are the base of the Democratic Party, the hard left and the Squad in US Congress do not represent American voters.  Also the Republicans on this issue, are on the right side, expect the Republican House to support extra funding for Israel, not for the UKRAINE, that is a different matter, and the Biden Oval does not have to the poll numbers to get US Congress to  combine  the vote.  POTUS should be out everyday stating that the US should support Israel and the Ukraine, the hard fact is that the President is to old, he is 81 shortly, 86 at the end of the 2nd term if re-elected.  Karma or fate has placed the one guy you do not want in the Oval at this time, God this blog misses Reagan and Thatcher.

Israel and the US want to keep Iran out of the Israeli - Gaza War, also they want to make sure that Iran does not allow its allies in the Middle East to start attacks should Israel go in for a tough land invasion of Gaza.  The thought of Biden dealing with the Ukraine War and major regional war in the Middle East would age POTUS and bring him a critical reaction from the left wing of the Party.   On the other hand Israel cannot allow itself to be told by the US if and when it goes in to Gaza, let's recall that October 7th was their 9/11, fifty years after the last major war in 1973.  One does think that Karma is putting Biden behind the 8 ball, think of all mistakes he has done in the past when it comes to foreign policy, on doubts that Biden thinks that, look at his mistakes with Afghanistan.  It is matter of waiting for the ISRAELI Government to decided when is the best time for an invasion to take out Hamas.

The race to be the new Speaker has been a farce, but the end Donald Trump has got someone he can support and has not peeved his colleagues off, thus the whole Republican Majority has supported him, the Democrats has a perfect target, he is against abortion, gay right and is funded by the gas and oil industry.  The attack ads will start Now, the White House has to work out how to combined funding for the Ukraine with support for Israel on to one bill that can pass the Senate and the House, they might get half of what they want, funding for Israel but the Ukraine might be tougher.  One hopes the new Speaker is given some Honeymoon period, the new Speaker is new to Congress and has not served as a Committee Chairman, thus learning on the job.

It is reported that the US has requested a delay as to get its  FORCES ready should Israel attack Gaza and terrorists cells attack the US as a response.   This delay can only be a for a few days, the Israeli Army has made it clear that it is ready, a leadership is about taking decisions, that is the role of a successful leader, a leader willing to take risks.  In 2003 Tony Blair was offered an out to the US invasion of Iraq, he di not take it, and has paid the price since.   The Israeli PM is known for being a dither by nature, so he has to get his mind in to the WAR LERADERSHIP ROLE, ISRAEL will not wait forever for him to make the final call, whatever the US President wants, Israel has to stand tall and be tough, with the enemy and its friends.
