US Cabinet to meet at Camp David to discuss Iran - Update

Fox News: Reports the following, " Trump convenes rare Camp David Cabinet meeting as Iran deal pressure grows "

Thus one hopes this is a REAL meeting, not just for PR.  One assumes that Trump wants the real views of the Cabinet on the proposed peace deal, the main points are a 60 day extension to the ceasefire, the US and Iran will lift the Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, further talks on Iran's nuclear stockpile, talks on lifting US sanctions on Iran, ceasefire in Lebanon.  Also unfreezeing Iranian assets in banks.  This lack of specifics on the nuclear stockpile could cause problems with hawkish Republicans.  Trump wants Gulf States to join the Abraham Accords, they would recognise Israel.  This could cause problems in the Arab/Muslim States.  Thus the World waits to see if there is a peace DEAL.

Iran calls US strike terrorism - Update

Sky News: Reports in its 12.49pm post the following, " Iran 'will leave no act of aggression unanswered' after US launches fresh strikes "

Let's Get Real:

Iran should know terrorism, its the chief exporter of terror in the Middle East and around the World.  It was behind the US Marine Barracks  bombing in Lebanon in 1983, and other crimes around the world.  The US action was a matter of self defence, Iranian actions are threat to ships passing in the Strait of Hormuz, the US action was against threats to the US Navy and its troops.  The ceasfire is still on, we are waiting to see if Iran and the US sign a memorandum of Understanding as to close the war.

US Attacks Iranian Naval Base in Southern Iran - Update

Let's Get Real:

This is an interesting move by the US, one assumes that the Trump Oval gave approval for the attack while a ceasefire is in place with Iran.  The sets a dilemma for Tehran, do they react or let it pass.  If they do not act it means that a memorandum of Understanding could come quite soon and is seen as a win for Tehran. The Memorandum opens the Strait of Hormuz and leaves the Nuclear stockpile issue in till later.   On the other hand should they act, it means they have nothing to lose.  Interesting few hours ahead.
