Either Iran reacts or does nothing, if wise and that is questionable they will not act, thus a limited operation from the US.  Trump has no Presidential Credibility any more, his harsh rhetoric on Iran is not march by military reality.  The Tehran Regime can outlast Trump, the Oval has to worry about the Mid Terms that should see Democrats take the House, even the Senate is a possibility, then in depth investigations by the Democrats and the start of the 2028 Presidential Election cycle.

This is either coming from the White House or Trump officials in the Defence Department are wanting to get bonus points with Trump.  This is a bad idea, the Democrats have jumped to attack Trump and the Republicans will have to defend it before the Mid Terms in November.  The original name was to honour an African - American Naval hero of Pearl Harbour 1941.  The honour is well deseved, Trump should rule it out, he is trying to change Washington D.C to honour him, Trump is delusional and needs someone to show him reality.

This will disappoint the Elite Liberal Media, TV and Press, it has been a running theme in their background that Trump is a Fascist and would be tyrant.  Trump knows he cannot legally go for a 2nd term.  The only way he could remain President would be if there was WW3, a conflict with Russia that went nuclear, Trump would not do that as he likes to play golf to much, and he would be stuck in a nuclear bunker! Thus 2028 it will be fresh Candidates for the Presidency, and no Trump, that will drive him crazy, the media spotlight will be off him.

Former VP Harris and the 2028 Presidential race - Update

It would be surprising if former VP Harris becomes the Nominee again, she lost it 2024, this blog can only think of 2 Presidents who came back from losing the general election, they were Nixon in 1968 after losing in 1960 and Trump in 2024 who lost it 2020, whatever he says on the subject.  In 2028, the 1st Democratic Primary will be South Carolina, a large African American vote, that should help Harris and Senator Booker.  The former is not a good candidate, one hopes the Democrats chose a moderate nominee like Bill Clinton or Obama at a push, the 2028 cycle should start after the Mid Terms, there a long list of potential Democratic candidates.

The Democratic Party is being taken over by the LEFT, Trump calls them Communist, this faction has no understanding of the US, one can argue that they don't like the US much, J.Edgar Hoover would have had a field day with them, this faction could do with being bugged.  They are dangerous, as Trump took over the Republicans, the hard left is trying to take over the Democratic Party.  The question is can LEFT wing Candidates win in the fly over States, then we come to 2028 schedule for Presidential Primaries, the Democrats have decided to keep South Caroline as the 1st Primary, due to the African - American vote, last time this was done was to help President Biden in his re-election in 24, and we all know how that ended, they forgot that Barack Obama won the Iowa caucus in 08, a majority White state, it showed he could win White votes, the rest in history.  Then we have the problem of Iowa and New Hampshire, NH has a legal requirement that they go first in Primaries, so who will break first, NH or the Democratic Party.  Thus the same issue with Iowa, they tend to go first, small States that can road test candidates, many a candidate has been broken in Iowa and NH or seen their campaigns rise in the polls, Clinton in 1992.  The Democrats could be creating their own defeat in 26 and 28.

This WAR can only end when the Tehran Regime is taken down by Trump.  If Trump can keep his nerve he will be the President that the Iranian problem.  CNN and the left wing media are acting like the Appeasing UK Times of the 1930s.  They seem to have forgotten that the Tehran Regime killed over thirty thousand of its own people when they protested against the Regime.  Trump should ignore the Media, and win the WAR, he can restore Presidential Credibility and take it to the Democrats in the Mid Terms.  This is Trump's one chance at greatness!

Thus far the US has lot 16 Service Personnel, the US Navy hit Iran again after the attacks on Jordan.  The US has to hit Iran hard, cut off power to the people of Iran, taken down bridges, cut off water, make the citizens of Iran more afraid of the US than their own evil regime.  The Trump Oval does not have all the time in the WORLD, the cost of oil is going up and then there is the US Mid Terms in November.  If the Democrats take the  House and Senate they could curtail US action in the Middle East, the Democratic Party of JFK and Bill Clinton has gone, the socialist left is trying to take over the Democratic Party as Trump took over the Republican Party.  Thus Trump has to move fast and the WAR by winning it for the US, delay will help the Tehran Regime and the left in the US.

This can't go on, it will effect the Western economy sooner or later.  Tehran has shown its word cannot be trusted, it lies as it talks, the are playing a crafty game of waiting out Trump and the US Navy.   The Mid Terms are coming and the Democrats should win the House of Representatives, then we have two years of Trump investigations and Impeachment, followed by the 2028 Presidential cycle.

Tehran is playing the Trump Oval, they know that Trump wants to finish his war of choice, its not popular with the American people and the Mid Terms are coming up.  Also oil prices have gone up and inflation, groceries are more expensive.  The Democrats are, using this against Trump, thus Oval is fed up with War and its results.

This would be a mistake by POTUS, one can think of a few Republicans and Democrats who would be opposed to the deal, to the hawks it will be seen as a massive blunder and mistake by Trump by folding to Iran.  On the Democratic side they will just oppose because its TRUMP and that he went to War with Iran in the first place.  The Trump Oval should recall its the Mid Terms in a few months time, what if the MoU is defeated, what then, and what if Israel keeps its troops in Lebanon, will they be attacked and how will they respond.  The Trump World might face the real World, and show how deluded the President of the United States is at the moment.

Any one with knowledge of history knows the example of the German Empire giving a blank cheque to the Austrian - Hungary in 1914, to attack Serbia and leading to the WW1 and the fall of the German, Russian, Austrian - Hungary Empires.  If Trump can control Israel then he might get a deal with Iran.  This means appeasing Tehran and Hezbollah, the Trump Oval needs the Strait of Hormuz open as to lower gas prices and lower inflation, if wants a chance of keeping the House and Senate in Republican hands, other wise stalled government and Impeachment for the last two years of the Trump term.

War Powers Act invoked in the House - Update

The Democrats have gotten their way in the House, now it goes to the Senate.  The White House has limited time to solve the Iran War.   The Regime in Tehran will see these developments and think they have the time to play Trump.  If the Senate passes the War Powers Act the Trump Oval can VETO it, the would require 2/3 of the Congress to overturn a Presidential VETO.

Thus we come to the escalation trap as mentioned in the last post, does Trump throw Israel under the bus and order that they leave Lebanon or does he resume attacks.  The last thing Trump wants is to be seen as a LOSER, he needs to support Israel or the Hawks on the Republican side in the US Congress will savage him in public, even the Democrats would attack him.  Time for Trump to find his inner Reagan and stand up to Iran their threats.

President Trump is feeling the heat of the WAR he started, there is economy and the rise in gas and groceries due to inflation, this is hitting Republican chances in the Mid Terms in November, if the Democrats take the House and Senate one can expect endless investigations and another Impeachment case before the Senate.  Then 2028 Presidential cycle starts, poor people of Iowa and NH will have endless candidates visiting.

These conditions the Trump Oval could never accept, it would make Trump a BIG LOSER in US and World Terms.  Is Tehran trying to sink any memorandum of Understanding before any deal.  Are the hardliners trying to assert control of the process, they also want the US to lift sanctions. The US hawks, Republicans in the US Congress would oppose such a deal and the Democrats would have a field day before the Mid Terms.  Trump must consider bombing Iran again.  The 2028 Presidential cycle will start soon, VP Vance must be worried about his chances of winning.

US Cabinet to meet at Camp David to discuss Iran - Update

Thus one hopes this is a REAL meeting, not just for PR.  One assumes that Trump wants the real views of the Cabinet on the proposed peace deal, the main points are a 60 day extension to the ceasefire, the US and Iran will lift the Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, further talks on Iran's nuclear stockpile, talks on lifting US sanctions on Iran, ceasefire in Lebanon.  Also unfreezeing Iranian assets in banks.  This lack of specifics on the nuclear stockpile could cause problems with hawkish Republicans.  Trump wants Gulf States to join the Abraham Accords, they would recognise Israel.  This could cause problems in the Arab/Muslim States.  Thus the World waits to see if there is a peace DEAL.

Sometimes this blog thinks POTUS is just nuts, Arab States have to worry about the Arab Street.  The feeling there is that the Palestinians should have a STATE or the chance of one in Gaza and the West Bank.  Is Trump trying to sink any deal with Iran, the blowback from Republicans and even Democrats has been severe, does Trump want to go back to bombing Iran.  How can the Master of the Art of the Deal Deal be so out of it, unless a strategic move, one does wonder.

There is no mention of Iran's nuclear stockpile or dust as called by POTUS, just the Strait of Hormuz, Trump really is a TACO President.  Trump has no Presidential Credibility left, he is a chicken, one is surprised that Israel went along with such a deal that is a threat to them in the future! The Democrats and never Trump supporters will have a field day with the agreement.  The Gulf States and the West will suffer because of the deal.

Iran is playing the Trump Oval, they show a bit of leg and Trump thinks the War is over, then when you get to the small print they change their minds.  Tehran knows that Trump is weak and desperate to end the War he started, as stated in previous post, Trump is worried about the Mid Terms and the Democrats winning, if this happens they will invoke the War Powers Act, this will curb Trump in Iran.   The TACO President is all at sea when it comes to Iran.
