Back to the Ukraine Front, while the News networks cover the War Iran, Putin's Russia still attacks the Democratic Ukraine, one should not forget this Long War, its like WW1 with its Trench Warfare.  This War could lead to WW3, whatever Trump thinks of the War. Putin will try to increase pressure on Ukraine, as he knows the WORLD is looking at this new War in the Middle East and fearing about the World economy as oil prices go up.

Russia has not achieved its goals in the Ukraine - Updare

Let's Get Real:

The WAR was expected to be short, destroyed Russian tanks had dress uniforms for the the tank soldiers who expected to get to Kyiv within a week! The Ukraine fought back, thus fours years of Trench Warfare, Europe has not seen it since WW1.  The Biden Administration and Europe supported the Ukraine, of 2025 Trump Administration has been a hindrance, demanding that NATO countries pay for the military kit and not signing security guarantees, thus the frozen front line in the front line.  The War goes on.

Russia still a THREAT, - US intelligence

Sky News: Reports in its 9.45am post that   US intelligence has a negative view of Putin ambitions, he wants the WHOLE of the Ukraine and even States in NATO.

Lets Get Real:

Putin wants the USSR back, he has stated the dissolution of the USSR was the greatest tragedy of the 20th Century, he seems to have forgotten WW1, WW2, the holocaust.  Let's be clear, Putin wants Imperial Russia back, that would include Finland and the Baltic States.   PUTIN has fooled numerous President of the US going back to Bush 43, the exception was Biden.  The Russian War machine thought Ukraine would be a walk over, it was not, even with Trump in the White House.

Russian frozen Assets for the Ukraine ? - Update

BBC News Reports that President Zelensky has stressed the need for frozen Russians to be given to Ukraine, they need it for the WAR effort.

Lets Get Real:

The Belgium PM has great reservations about the plan, this blog has a long memory, the UK supported Belgium in 1914, thus the start WW1, also Belgium during the First Gulf War would not give missil parts for the UK, they said SORRY, its the first reaction that is important, the European Countries are trying prevent WW3, while Belgium is playing politics, if they are ever invaded again then the UK should consider its position.  Let's hope Europe gets its act together over the next few hours and days.

US and Russian talks bring no solution to Ukraine War - Russia

BBC News: Reports in its 10.14pm post that the US and Russia have not reached a compromise deal on the Ukraine in talks in Moscow.

The 28 point plan produced by Moscow is in the bin, there is no way that Zelensky in Kyiv could have agreed, his Government would have fallen, thus the European version has also been rejected by Moscow.  The Kremlin is sabre rattling again, they want to divide Europe from the US.  Italy is going through panic attack, as in WW1 and WW2, you cannot trust Rome, they had been supporting the Ukraine, now they have frozen arms supplies to the Ukraine.   This endless war carries on in Europe.

120 Drone Attacks on Russian Region - Ukraine - Russia War

Sky News: Reports in its 3.30pm post that the Ukraine launched 120 drone strikes on a Russian Border Region according to Russia.

The above is from a Russian source, it could be true or not, the Russians cannot be trusted, Moscow will be happy to hear that POTUS does not plan to give tomahawk Missiles to the Ukraine, the Russian lap dog has given Moscow the green light to further attack the Ukraine.   This blog would not be socked if Moscow dropped a nuclear device on Kyiv or used battle field nuclear weapons to finish this war. It is estimated that Russia has lost a million men in the Ukraine War, there a limits on how much a tyrant can lose on the battlefield, Putin is afraid of conscription, the young who can leave have already left.   The failures of WW1 lead to the fall of the Tsar in 1917.

The Kremlin is seeking any NATO weakness, the Ukraine is just the first test for Putin, he wants the USSR back, or even the Russian Empire of Tsarist Russia.   In His potted history of Russia the Communists stabbed Russia in the back in WW1 with the 2nd revolution in 1917, but end of the USSR in 1991 was the greatest tragedy of the 20th Century, yes Putin is that wrong and crazy. 

NATO has to be on guard, it must act against any incursion by Putin and Russia, the Russisn bear is on the MARCH, as was Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

The US has to pull its finger out and end this WAR, this Trump's Woodrow Wilson moment, Wilson who had kept the US our of WW1 in till 1917, had enough by 1917, also the German threat from Mexico pushed Wilson to act.  Thus Trump must use secondary taxes on Countries buying Russian oil, he must close down the Russian economy, he has to be brave and take the fight to Moscow.  END this endless WAR.

The Russian economy is a total war economy, as the article states, 40% of its budget goes on the War, the West needs to spend more, it did during the Cold War, thus the West won the Cold War, this lead to the dissolution of the USSR in 1991.  PUTIN seems to have forgotten that lesson, WW1 lead to the downfall of Imperial Russia and the Russian Revolution of  1917.    Its time to remind the Russian Bear, that it can be beaten.

Who does Trump think he is, if the US cuts off military aid to the Ukraine, then EU and UK will have to take its place,  it has happened before, in 1947, the UK could not defend Greece and Turkey against the Comminist threat, and the US took over World Leadership, it might be time for the EU and the UK take over from the US, shame Trump, it took in till 1917 for the US to get in to WW1, 1941 for WW2, while the US is going through its Appeasement phase with Trump, there are the Mid Terms in 2026 and a new Presidential Election in 2028, shame the devil as they say.

After the Ukraine had success in the Kursk region of Russia, the Kremlin is looking to hit back hard, they have had success in the East of Ukraine, but they wanted something that would get attention of the people of the Ukraine and the WORLD MEDIA, this attack has done so, the Russian also hit a Hospital, the Russians have no shame, well they have a WAR CRIMINAL as their leader, it is about time the Russians rose up, they did it 1917 with the first revolution and in 1991 during the COUP attempt.   They people of Russia have to faced down the Putin Regime, the evil regime will not fall otherwise, Putin is waiting out Biden and is hoping for Trump.   From her remarks, it seems that Harris would be tough on Putin, we shall see if she wins.   The West should also as it has promised send missile defence systems to the Ukraine and long range missiles that the Ukraine can use on Russia, this is a long WAR, very much like WW1. 

New PM off to Washington D.C - NATO Summit and 75th birthday - Sir Keir Starmer/Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

This is the right tone by the new PM, support for the Ukraine, and the promise to increase spending on defence by 2.5% in time.  The Russians might not give him the time.   The PM should be careful not to be dragged in to the debate about Biden's health.  POTUS is not going anywhere, he has made that clear, also the Democrats have shown they do not have have a profile in courage, so the Democrats are stuck with Biden.   The rebels who wanted Biden out, will have to make it clear that they support POTUS and think he can win, even if they do not think that is reality.   This blog is surprised that Russian has not tried anything with the Baltic States or Poland, if I was Putin and this mess was going on in D.C  I would try something after 8pm Washington time, Biden likes to go to sleep after 8.   The NATO members have to support the Ukraine, the War will last years, as did WW1, till the US does something as President Wilson did in 1918, by sending troops to Europe.

If the Biden Oval has to talk to Russia in the end, it will not look good that you are doing another Munich 1938.   If you follow the Biden logic this can only end in two ways, a coup in Russia, Putin will not withdraw or World War 3.  As noted in my previous post, the fist part of the Biden Address was strong, went all the way back to 1941 when the US entered WW2 after Pearl Harbour and Germany declaring WAR on the US.  Also BIDEN stated that a President Reagan stood before the Berlin Wall and asked Mr Gorbachev to tear it down.  The question is will the American people buy it, there mind set is very much like after WW1, enough of foreign WARS, also the crisis at the BORDER with Mexico is seen as a national security THREAT.  TIME WILL TELL.

The Russians had weeks to build up  their defences in land they hold in the Ukraine, they have placed thousands of mines in the way of Ukraine Forces and the US and the West has been slow to supply air cover for the advancing Ukraine Forces.  In 1918 the Germans were only forced to appeal for an Armistice when the US came in, the Kremlin is waiting in till 2024 and the Republican victory over President Biden, either by Trump or a follower of Trump to have a outright win over the Ukraine the US.   That is why President Biden either had to win the WAR this year or before 2024 election.  The Kyiv Government needs those fighter jets and fast, the Kremlin cannot be allowed to win, a recent poll by CNN has a majority of Americans not in favour of more military support for the Ukraine.  Putin must be STOPPED.

Putin is making  a bad example of being a Autocrat, before the failed coup Putin would have killed or removed any opposition to him, the CNN anchors were going through the methods used by the Kremlin, those opposed to Putin seems to fall from windows, have door handles covered with poison, or clothes, or been shot and killed or placed in prison for the World to see. In Imperial Russia, Tsar Alexander III and the weak Tsar Nicholas would hang those that were seen as a threat to the Tsar. In the USSR Stalin would murder millions.   It looks like Prigozhin is not going to go quiet and live in Belarus, Putin cannot allow the Wagner boss to make him a laughing stock, is Prigozhin going to do another coup attempt, he was popular in the streets that he took over and he will only be safe if he goes for the top job.   Without the Wagner Group can the Russians hold the areas they control in East Ukraine.   The recent Ukraine worry about the Russians blowing up a nuclear plant in their control has not happened, did the Kyiv Government frighten Russian off, or is Putin holding that back just in case.

It will taken weeks and months to see if the Ukraine offensive has been successful, the retaking of seven villages is good, one question if anyone is still there, also the Russians have shown how ruthless they can be by destroying a Dam, that effect of that will also take days and weeks to see.  One assumes the US Defence Department and the UK's MOD are helping the Kyiv Government with intelligence on the weak points in the Russian defensive line.  Thus the NSA and the UK's GCHQ will be listening to the Russians, just in case they go nuclear out of fear of losing the War.  Putin Kremlin has shown it does not care about the people of the Ukraine by its WAR CRIMES, but also not care about the Russians who will suffer due the Dam being destroyed.   This could be1918 when the Allies offensive forced the Germans to sue for peace, of course then the US was in the War, will US military kit have the same results, we shall see in the future.

This should make Democrats have a serious chat if they want to defend this kind of mistakes over the next five and half years.  As the Guardian notes in the article, the gaff did not cause a diplomatic incident in Ireland, what if Biden had made the mistake in Belfast.  Also the Black and Tans has  a lot of WELSH TROOPS as part of their membership, could have caused an incident.   It is best to leave the past in the PAST.  The above mistake in the future could cause WW3, the Ukraine is brewing for the Ukraine offensive in the spring, also China could invade Taiwan at any minute.   The Oval needs a POTUS who doe not have these problems, Biden is no Reagan.

President Putin is always making THREATS to the West, but he never follows through, the Russians have a pathological FEAR that the UK is up to something against them, it goes back to the conspiracy view that the SIS took out Rasputin during WW1, it has never been proven, but the Russians sees the British as always doing something that will hurt Russia.   President Putin is always getting the nuclear sabre out whenever he sees the UK or the US helping the Ukraine out with military kit.  This blog has lost count of the times Putin has made nuclear threats, one hopes there are adults in the Kremlin and the Russian Defence Ministry who will prevent Putin going bonkers and hitting that red button.  The Russian military bloggers who support the Ukraine WAR are even more dangerous, they want to nuke the UK.   The West is waiting for the Ukraine offensive, with new tanks, trained soldiers and old Russian fighter jets from Poland and others.  This is the time for the Ukraine to push the Russians back towards their real BORDER.  As Sky News reports in  its 6.33pm post, the UK MOD has stated the following on the depleted uranium news, " Russia 'deliberately trying to disinform' over depleted uranium rounds - MoD....The MoD has confirmed it will send depleted uranium rounds to Ukraine, adding that the British Army has used the material in its shells "for decades".  As the article notes the Russians know this, thus the Russian WORD can never be trusted, who would be stupid to do a PEACE DEAL WITH Putin, a War Criminal and a liar.

Thus we have the stab in the back theory back again, the last time it was used to attack German leaders who agreed an armistice in 1918 and bought WW1 to an end.  It could be that Putin sees a loss and wants to transfer the blame on to the Russia Army who carried out his Special Military Operation, the invasion of the Ukraine.  As the mercenary boss of Wagner is close to Putin he has been told to blame the military or the Wagner boss is setting up his stand to be the successor of Putin.   Bakhmut is of not strategic value, but the Russians have made it important, one does not dare to think how many Russians and Ukrainians soldiers have been killed, the Ukraine Army is doing the job that NATO does not want to do, as it would start WW3.   The US and the West must send all the ammo the Kyiv government wants, the Ukraine should make Russia bleed, they started this WAR, these are the results. 

New Russian Troops for their NEW OFFENSIVE - Ukraine - Russian War - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

The West has to be quick with its training of Ukrainian Crews for German, US and UK tanks, the Russians see a window to strike before the West has placed their tanks in the combat zone.  The one thing that Russia has is an endless supply of men and women to fight.  Also in Putin we have a leader who does not care how many his people are killed, the sole aim of Putin's Kremlin is to keep Putin in power, and if that means losing hundred of thousands of troops so be it.  The West has a chance to push the Russians out, before their new Russian troops arrive, they are likely not to have been trained well enough to fight a trench warfare, also the regular army wants to make a point that the mercenaries used by Putin are good cannon fodder but not good at taking and keeping areas under its control.  NATO Countries and Allies should start to think about sending fighter jets to the Ukraine, air cover could be important, this is not the time to wait and find out later that the Kyiv Government could have won if they had Western fighters.  Time for the West to WAKE UP and SMELL the RUSSIAN BEAR, it coming for NATO sooner or later.
