The NATO allies do not want a war with Russia's Putin, if they don't support Kyiv then they could find themselves in a WAR with Russia in 2030.  The Germans and Poland have increased defence spending, the UK has hardly started, its 1914 all over again.  What if the UK has to bring back enforced conscription, the young would have no idea what has hit them.  The UK has to wake up, before it's to late.

Lets Get Real:

The Poles and the Baltic States are worried, they fear that Russia could do a false flag operation, or have a plane or helicopter go down in NATO country, and then the Russians send it troops, what would President Trump do, what would the new UK PM Andy Burnham do, very new to OFFICE, would he press the red button to save Poland, we have let Poland down in 1939 and 1945 when it was taken over by the Soviets, even after the Free Polish Forces had fought for the Allies in World War 2.   Trump is erratic, would he take action, he has shown that he is a puppet of Putin, will defend Poland even after they have increased their defence spending.   It is worry for Poland and the Baltic States, one gets the impression that the UK voter does not get how close to war we are, most of them were not about for the 1930s, and thus do not understand the threat.  Let's hope the intelligence networks are wrong about the Kremlin Plans, if not we are in the Summer of 1914, and have no idea what is coming.

Russian frozen Assets for the Ukraine ? - Update

The Belgium PM has great reservations about the plan, this blog has a long memory, the UK supported Belgium in 1914, thus the start WW1, also Belgium during the First Gulf War would not give missil parts for the UK, they said SORRY, its the first reaction that is important, the European Countries are trying prevent WW3, while Belgium is playing politics, if they are ever invaded again then the UK should consider its position.  Let's hope Europe gets its act together over the next few hours and days.

What if President Trump says NO, what if he wants to sell out the Ukraine because he is impressed by tyrants.  That would force the European Governments in to WAR MODE, one cannot rule out the return of conscription, at least the new recruits would be to taught read and write, even a trade.  The European Capitals should think this 1914 again, after a long peace, welfare has to be cut, the super rich, have to pay high rate is taxes , one cannot rule out WW3, the Russians will be back for more, as Hitler did with Czechoslovakia Republic in 1938/39.  IF the US wants to avoid WW3 it will have to be a security stop even if does not want to be, the World has changed for the worse, and there is no Reagan in the Oval and Thatcher at 10 Downing Street.

One hopes that the transfer of Western air defence equipment is helping the Kyiv Government in takin down the Russian missiles.  The Kremlin will be worried that it is running out of missiles and that the Ukraine feels free to attack Russian bases in Russia itself.  The West has to keep supporting the Kyiv Government through the WINTER, it will be tough in the Ukraine, both Ukraine and Russian forces will be stuck in their trenches, one hopes there is no Christmas TRUCE as in 1914, the Russian Bear cannot be trusted, also Christmas comes later for the Russians culturally.  The attacks on the Russian airfields will alarm the people of Russia and the Kremlin, Putin fears he will be the  TSAR that lost the WAR, the last one and his family were executed in 1918.  The failure in Afghanistan, the Chernobyl meltdown lead to the destruction of the USSR in the end.  The people of the Ukraine are fighting for their freedom and the right to exist, while Putin is fighting to save his own neck and that of Russia.

This latest move by the EU and the Ukraine will drive the Kremlin NUTS, thus far the Ukraine is moving along the process it always wanted, but at a faster pace, one can expect that the Ukraine will do very fast reforms that allows it to become a full member of the EU, it could take a FEW YEARS, while the main problem for the KYIV Government is that the Russians are moving inch by inch to take the whole of the South East Ukraine, see previous post.  The EU needs to place more sanctions on Russia, the rouble has returned to its price pre the War in the Ukraine, also the Kremlin PR has been excellent, the poor people of Russia must be thinking they are fighting neo Nazis in the Ukraine, its complete RUBBISH, and shows how effective Putin and his regime has been.  The CIA and GCHQ, must start to hack Russian media systems, to tell the truth of the WAR in the Ukraine.  That the Russian invasion was illegal, and that Russian Soldiers have committed WAR CRIMES, on fellow SLAVS,  Tsar Nicholas 11 will be turning his mausoleum, WW1 started because Tsar went in to rescue the Serbs after the Austrian Hungary Empire declared War after the assassination of the heir to the throne in Bosnia.  Thus Russian Soldiers are killing, torturing, and raping their way in the Ukraine, these crimes must be paid for by the Russian State.  The Russian people have to get off their backsides and take to the streets to show that the Russian people do not support this WAR, and it is a WAR.

It seems that the EU is unware of HISTORY, the UK does not react well to THREATS from Europe. we wait and then WIN, the EU needs us more than we need them at the moment, with the exception of FRANCE, there are no other nuclear powers in Europe.  The does EU really think that Putin takes EU in a serious manner, the EU sanctions on Russia are good but will take time.  The Russian rouble has returned to previous level before the invasion of Ukraine in February.  Also Russian business has taken over the business brands that have LEFT Russia due to the Ukraine War.  Thus as stated, sanctions could take a long time, ,and one has to worry that EU will stay united, it already has problems with Hungary, who against Russians gas sanctions, as they get a majority of their gas from Russia.  Also Europe has been slow in giving heavy arms to Ukraine, the Berlin Government sent caps at first, and they have been foot dragging over their promises.  Thus the EU might need the UK down the road, the EU will have to decide, does it care about petty small print or its power abroad.  The Brussels tails is leading the rest of it, somewhere down the line it will be needed to taken down a bit, or else the EU will look like a eunuch.

One does question the sanity of the French and German LEADERS, Putin knows the score, if he loses in the Ukraine or the Russian people wake up the mass murder that he has committed then he is TOAS and Russia has a brutal way of getting rid of leaders WHO FAIL at WAR.  Thus Putin will destroy the Ukraine in way to save it and himself.  The Western Leaders are talking to a MAD MAN, and such talks help him think that if he can win this war in a quick and brutal manner then the West will come back and the sanctions will be removed.  One does have to wonder how the French and German LEADERS do not understand that, the Russian LEADER must lose and be seen to lose or it could lead to WW3.  It seems modern leaders do not understand history, that goes for POTUS, the UK PM and other Western leaders.

The Russians are getting their supplies ready to invade Russia, the Kremlin is already up to its OLD TRICKS, of creating FAKE NEWS as to allow it the justification to invade, the Russians are waiting for their fake news to get coverage and then use that as the reason for invasion, yesterday the Russians reported that Ukraine Spies had been caught in Russia and were planning a terrorist attack.  In this example they are following the Hitler playbook, he stated that the INVASION of Poland in 1939 was down to Polish attacks on Germany, in fact they were Nazi prisoners who were dressed up as Poles and then shot.  It was reported on CNN today that there will be a zoom meeting between Biden and Putin, one hopes Biden is up to it and can be strong vs. Putin, and makes it clear that the US will protect Ukraine, Biden cannot afford another Afghanistan and the Refugees that would come from the Ukraine.  This could be 1914 ALL over again, the 24/7 news networks do not seem to cover this crisis, peopled are tuned to the COVID - 19 crisis and its mutations, if there is WAR, one hopes people will understand WHY.  The fault will be with the Russians, and the ambitions of Putin for the return of the USSR.

The French are really getting out of hand, they should recall the US is the Leader of the Democratic West, and France is a small fry, the French ego is normally out of control, they still hanker for the days of Empire, they are only a real power because of they have nuclear weapons, and they only did that because they have been invaded twice by the Germans, 1914, 1940.  They will never forgive that it took the US and the Brits to save them, they still do not know how to make English Tea, that should you TELL all you need to know about the French.  The US President should ask the French President over for talks at the White House and let them come part of Aukus, it could become AFuksu, just an idea.  They real target of the PACT China are worried, they see competition in their back yard and do not like it, they are impotent when it comes to North Korea and Taiwan, thus they stress their navy, bad idea, the West can always out spend the Chinese's communists, look what happened to the USSR.

This smacks of a political conspiracy by Serbia, it is time the Austria - Hungary took action to remove this threat to the Monarchy, the terrorist group known as the Black Hand and its aims for the Slavs people is a mortal threat to the Monarchy and its subjects.   The Government in Vienna should take firm action and demand that Serbia deal with this threat or the Monarchy will have to take action because off the assassination.   This should be a local affair, another Balkan War, the peace of Europe should while having tensions should not lead to the powers taking action, lets recall with the exception of Republican France, the powers are all lead by Monarchies and a threat to one Crown is a threat to ALL Crowns. 

The Shot that starts a WAR between Russia and the Ukraine - Ukraine Latest

It only takes a few shots to start a major War, as happened in 1914, at that time the Russians were on the right side, even if they flipped after the October Revolution of 1917 and made a deal with Germany.   These kind events increase the tension and further deaths could occur, the new Kiev Government is not going to rollover no matter what President Obama and the West might say behind closed doors.    They have to started to use the language of the 1930s, does the West want to appease Putin, even today British politicians do not want to be called appeasers, it was only of late that Neville Chamberlain gained a tea room in the House of Commons, and that was a fight.   Lets hope the Kiev Government has a tight lease on those troops loyal to the Kiev Government, the same goes for Moscow, otherwise we start to enter THE Cuban Missile Crisis case study, and Obama can not do any secret deals with Putin, those days are over, Obama has to act like a the only super power left, otherwise he will become a modern Jimmy Carter. 

Russian Provocation of Ukraine - Ukraine Latest

Lets Get Real:

It seems the Kremlin is trying to push the Kiev Government to take some kind of action then it can send in extra troops on top of the troops that have taken the local Parliament, Airports, Cost Guard Base and the local Crimean TV Station in the East Ukraine.    Lets be very clear here, one can argue that the Crimea is part of the real Russia, its a political accident of the 1950s that Crimea was given to the Ukraine, the Kiev Government should cut it losses, decide to recall its name as  West Ukraine, push the EU to grant it membership access due to the problems in the West.   The US/EU/IMF should fund  West Ukraine, the US and the West is not going to War over the Crimea, its not worth it, if the East wants to be under Putin let them learn the negatives in their own time, not on the dime of the West.   100 years since 1914, lets not make that mistake again. 

Russian THREAT to Ukraine - Great Russian Threat

No one would be surprised if the Russians invaded the East of the Ukraine, it full of native Russians with Russian passports give out by the Moscow, also the Russian Navel fleet is stationed there, thus can Moscow afford to lose the Ukraine.   The Oval has warned Moscow about taking action, but if your Putin you must be laughing, Obama never follows through, see Syria.   The Oval stands up to Republicans but folds when it comes to Iran and Russia, thus if Russia does take action, one can expect refugees to head to neighbouring countries, and they are NATO countries.   Lets hope history is not repeating itself, the World can not afford another 1914. 

Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a UK Soldier was killed in combat today in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the " 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare) ".  Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 445 of its Armed Forces Personnel due to combat and other incidents.    

Lets Get Real: 

Folks WHY are we still losing brave members of our Armed Forces in a War we are getting OUT off, what is the point, by the end of the next year we should be out of Afghanistan AGAIN, we should cut our loses  and leave Afghanistan to the US and its future plans.    Our forces will do the job they have been sent out to do, but it can be argued that the Coalition Government should have a duty of CARE, we are walking off the pitch next year, it can be postulated that Afghanistan within six months will back in to a state of Civil War, the Afghanistan Taliban will use the leaving of Western troops as a PR for their course, when Kabul falls to the Taliban, is the US ready for another Southern Vietnam 1975,  who wants to see US helicopters getting the last US diplomats and allies out of Afghanistan.   At the end of the day folks, Afghanistan and Iraq was a disaster for the West, what have we gained, NOTHING, and the result, Western Armed forces are tired and Western voters wish they had never heard of Iraq or Afghanistan, our military and political leadership from the Generals to the Political elite have shown that they were donkeys leading lions. 

June Days 2013 - Crisis Point Iran

Thus as in the July days of 1914 the World awaits the line in the sand of June 2013, the liberal NYT had a story a few weeks ago that Iran was waiting for the US Election before starting one to one talks with the Oval.    Of course Iran wants talks, they are playing for time, they know that President Obama is a ego maniac, who else would take the Nobel Prize for Peace for just turning up.   They are playing a complex but simple game, get the Oval in to endless talks, promise just enough that Oval keeps pressure on Israel not to attack, then on one sunny day show the world that they are a nuclear armed power.  It is simple to understand why President Obama wants to cut a deal at any price, he reads his own press statements, thus thinks his words have reality, YES folks he is that far gone.   Once Iran gets the bomb the Israel will have to act, the Oval will be forced by events to carry out a 2nd strike on Iran to make sure Iran does not get the bomb and to prevent Iran cutting off the fuel supply for the West through the Gulf.   The regime in Tehran has nothing to lose, its economy through UN sanctions is heading for the floor, the Regime is facing growing discontent from the young, they know that the only way for the Regime to go is for it to go nuclear.  They see the lesson of Libya, Gaddafi game up his WMD's and got a sword up the backside for his only good deed of his life.   Thus the Tehran Regime does not want to be hanging from the nearest Yardarm, thus they will go nuclear folks, Israel has to hit hard with their first strike and then shame the Oval in to taking action, also the Israeli Government should get the US Congress to place pressure on the Oval to support an early strike on Iran. 

Spanish Bonds vs. Germans Bonds = Eurozone Crisis

BBC News: Reports that EU Stock Markets have taken a dive of between 1% - 1.5% over the cost Spanish bonds heading up to 6.7%, while Germans bonds have fallen to 1.31%.

Lets Get Real:

If Spanish bonds head over 7% the Markets will expect Spain to ask for multi billion bailout, that would include Spanish Government debt, the debts of its banks, and the debts of its regional Governments. Yes folks we might be talking about a bailout of between half a trillion to 1 trillion in Euros. This is before Greece goes to the Polls on June 17th. The worry for the Germans is that the Greeks might be so spooked that they support austerity Parties for a time thus Germany and the EU would have to fund Greece, but down the line the Greeks just get fed up and refuse the pay. Thus more Euro billions down the toilet. One can expect the Germans to demand should the Greeks elect a Coalition Government that supports austerity to make legally binding deal, a deal that will make the Austro - Hungarian demand to the Serbs in 1914 look like a birthday card. In other words Athens would come under the control of Berlin, if they want the money from Berlin they would have to follow the demands of 4th economic Reich.

Next Spain ? - Euro Crisis ?

Guardian: Reports that the Spanish Government has reintroduced tax hikes on the rich. In a recession folks the last thing you do is raise taxes on people that can get you out of a hole. The Spanish Government must have taken leave of its senses, Spain must really be in a economic mess, will it default before Italy. Thus folks on the economic radar we have Greece, Italy and then Spain. The Greeks are Zombies eating currency, tax payers money of Germany, the Italians and Spanish are just as bad, welfare systems that are out of date and Governments for one reason and other are past their sell by date. One wonders what the markets are going to make of the Greek October decision, the markets have been very odd, going up while the US and the EU are heading over a cliff, very much like the July days of 1914.
