This goes back to 1987 when private citizen Donal Trump took out advert in NYT that opposed the Reagan convoy system of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz due to the Iraq - Iran War, using the same argument that other Countries should do it, as they got a majority of oil.  Is the above an empty threat by POTUS, time will tell.

Lets Get Real:

If Russia wins in  Ukraine then Poland, Baltic States are  the NEXT land grap by Russia.  EUROPE has not seen such a threat since 1930s and the rise of Nazi Germany.  The simple solution and a brave one, is to place UK, France and German troops in Ukraine, draw a line in the sand, say to Putin, NO MORE.  Thus to prevent WW3 take the lead, Putin will back off for a while at least.

It has come to something, that the suppose Western Allies have to have a frank talk about European security, and the problem is not Russia as such, but the Oval Office.  This could be the break up of the Western Alliance, a system that has defended the US and Europe against the Evil Empire of Russia since the dawn of the Cold War.  The question is will Trump and coalition of the willing give security guarantees to Ukraine, does NATO still have a job.  Interesting days ahead.

This blog stated that there would be a bitter taste after the Alaska Summit between Presidents Putin and Trump.  The Russians now want a say on what kind of security guarantees that the Ukraine gets, their idea of security is for the Ukraine to surrender with no conidiations, Putin just wants to con Trump along and gain more land in the Donbas and force the West to accept them.   It is really time for Trump to wake up, he looks like lap dog of Putin's than President of the United States, the most powerful man in World.  Trump should really carry an umbrella, he is acting like Neville Chamberlain ( who carried an umbrella, all the time these days.

This is Russian pure sabre rattling, they are peeved that France and the UK has been supporting the UKRINE, with the threat of French troops in the UKRAINE, and the UK approval for the Ukraine to use UK missiles to strike Russia prober.   The Kremlin knows that if it hits either France or the UK they would be unleashing WW3, and they would lose such a WAR.  Putin is now a War Criminal, he wants to the West to come to him, or a Presidential meeting with Biden, not going to happen before the November election in America.   The West needs to be quicker with its military kit for the Ukraine, Russia has made its advances, time to push them back for the Russia Bear to have its claws cut off.

The US has been cautious about the progress of PEACE TALKS between Russia and the Ukraine, the Ukraine side stated that the most important issue was that there had to be security guarantees from the West if Ukraine agreed never to join NATO and was neutral.  That security guarantee would come from the UK and the US, in other words it would be forever 1939 Poland for the US and the UK, as Putin could regroup and build up his forces for another try in a few years.   The Ukraine side also stated that the future of the CRIMEA would be placed in the long grass for the next 15 years.  The question is will Putin take that kind of deal, and what about of the Eastern provinces would he get, there is also the problem that ANY DEAL would go before the voters of the Ukraine, it would be fair to say would they agree to these concessions after the human losses and the destruction of the infrastructure of the Ukraine.   They might support such a move, but they would need for the UK and the US to make sure that should Putin ever have a rethink that they have to come to support the Ukraine, it has to be a legal treaty and set in stone.  Will POTUS get that through the Congress, and will the UK Parliament support such a move.  FOREVER POLAND 1939.

This confirms what the NATO Secretary General said yesterday, NATO will form four new battle groups on the EAST FLANK of NATO.  This should send a CLEAR signal to Russia, do not even think of hitting a NATO Country, also that NATO is united if Putin uses WMD.  The commentary sees the Russian - Ukraine War going on, back to the trenches of 1914, with Russia being Germany, and the Ukraine representing the Allies of the UK and France, the US and UK will supply defensive weapons to the Ukraine, but no fighter jets that the Poles have spare, they do not want to cross any of Putin red lines.  It can be speculated that President Putin is not a patient man, he knows every day he loses troops or ships ( latest report has the Ukrainian hitting a Russian Cargo Ship ) the his regime becomes under threat, thus one is sorry to say that one can see Russian using WMD, chemical or biological weapons, the the Biden will have to show nerve to back Putin off, otherwise he will think he can use anything he wants, nuclear even.   Long Days and Nights for this brutal WAR.

One presumes this is the Russians again, checking how the UK reacts, our boys of the RAF will escort them back to international airspace, the Russians are pushing their luck, it only need something like to go WRONG and the World is a world of hurt.  What if Russian MILITARY planes go over Poland or other Baltic States and something happens, the Kremlin should be careful the game it plays, the US ha already sent troops to Poland and Germany, and moved troops from Germany to Rumania.  One can expect not much action for a couple weeks, as Putin is going off to the Winter Games in China, those end on the 20th of this month, then it will be interesting to see what Putin does, is it WAR with the Ukraine or does Putin turn tail and send his troops back home.  The WEST as to be ahead of Putin, to check mate him.

As the article notes 90 tones of aid has been sent by the US, this is a STARK warning to the Russia, the British Government has also sent lethal weapons, the Kremlin has to get its mind around the FACT that the West, US, UK and other countries will support the Kiev Government if the Russians invade.  The Kiev Government might need support of they have to fight an insurgence against the Russians, the Russian Army is the biggest in Europe, the problem is that there only needs one thing to go wrong or a Russian Commander to push his  luck and start a WAR with NATO.  The Kremlin needs to send a strong messages to its military commanders, that should NATO country be attacked then ALL other NATO Countries go to their support.  The meeting between the US Secretary of State and Russian Foreign Minister yesterday seems pointless, they just stated the same points as last week.  One really hopes that Putin backs off, otherwise we could be seeing the origins of World War 3.

The timeframe for an invasion is January to February of NEXT YEAR, thus the WEST in the shape of NATO and the Biden Oval has to be VERY CLEAR with Putin of Russia, that any invasion of Ukraine could lead to the Russians have to fight the US and its NATO allies.  The Russia Bear is not foolhardy, if it shows that there will be REAL consequences of its ACTIONS it will back off, the US and UK should place combat troops in the Ukraine, and draw a RED LINE so to speak, any further from the Russians then the West will be at WAR with Russia.  The last real such scare was in 1983 when the Kremlin thought a NATO military exercise, codeword Able Archer was a cover for a real WAR.  The White House was informed by a brave Russian spy for the UK, this lead to Reagan toning down his comments on the Evil Empire.  One hopes that the West, the US and the UK have such good intelligence, after Afghanistan Biden can not afford another loss on the WORLD STAGE, so Biden and Putin have a LOST to lose if they get this wrong.

President Putin could be playing CHESS, while the EU is still on SNAP, the Kremlin might be wanting the West to be fixated on the Polish border while the Russians are ready to invade the East of Ukraine or even the whole of the Ukraine.  ONE has to remember that that Putin has a KGB Soul, or that he even has one.  The West and NATO in this case should be placing troops on the border between Belarus and on the Ukraine border between the Ukraine and Russia.   The Biden White House should make it CLEAR to Putin, that any attack on the Ukraine will see the US in play and NATO.  The Russia Bear is sneaky it is not suicidal, there have been rumours that Putin is ill with Parkinson's,  one has doubts, but just in case a old man wants to take the World with him, it has to be made clear that any action in the Ukraine could lead to a War between NATO and Russia.  These are troubling developments.

What part of ambiguity does POTUS not understand, the Chinese Government should be kept off keel when it comes to Taiwan, it should not know what the US would do if it attacked Taiwan, this ambiguity has been US policy for YEARS, anything different causes tensions, we have had that already with the Aukus Security deal, China sees that as a threat by the fact that the UK and the US will give Australia nuclear subs.  As the article notes the White House had to walk back the remarks by the President, not for the first time.  One would think that this breaking news would be the LEAD on CNN, but no its kissing the backside of Biden Oval, saying what LIBERALS want to hear when it comes to filibuster, Biden has no power to anything in the Senate without 50 votes and the two holdouts so far have stated they want to keep the filibuster as is.  CNN is really going like the old Soviet Pravda, I think they were more critical of the Soviet Government, CNN really has to re - learn its a NEWS Channel, not a outlet for LIBERAL dreams.

The FRENCH really have to get over themselves, they are small fry to the US, and let's face it, they are not trusted, or else they would have been told sooner than a hour before it was announced, it hurts FRENCH pride ( that they have any, is a bit of shock ), they are a nuclear power, but that about it, they have one some anti terror operations, but they turned the UK down when Boris tried to get a EU force in Afghanistan, if they had said yes they might have been invited to the Defence Pact at its start.   The French are more angry than China and the PACT has been created to counter China in Asia.  The French should calm down and have English tea ( if someone knows how to make it ).

In essence POTUS is Trump without the arguments and the tweets, there was no regret by Biden on Afghanistan, the fact that there are still Americans and UK citizens still in Afghanistan and can not get out, what if the Taliban take them hostages as to get access to the frozen assets of the previous government.  The liberal media has let Biden off, if it was TRUMP, we would be getting Afghanistan every day, on CNN every hour.  CNN has not weaned it self off Trump just yet, it is still going after Trump, there viewers must be really liberal and addicted to Trump.  Also Biden has shown his true side, he talks of a new era in relentless diplomacy, in other words he is going to appease IRAN, and do nothing really about China, the Aukus Defence Pact is a smokescreen for Biden to do nothing, really he has no choice, the Chinese Government is the banker of the US, it holds trillions of US debt, and can not afford a WAR between the two super powers.

The French are really getting out of hand, they should recall the US is the Leader of the Democratic West, and France is a small fry, the French ego is normally out of control, they still hanker for the days of Empire, they are only a real power because of they have nuclear weapons, and they only did that because they have been invaded twice by the Germans, 1914, 1940.  They will never forgive that it took the US and the Brits to save them, they still do not know how to make English Tea, that should you TELL all you need to know about the French.  The US President should ask the French President over for talks at the White House and let them come part of Aukus, it could become AFuksu, just an idea.  They real target of the PACT China are worried, they see competition in their back yard and do not like it, they are impotent when it comes to North Korea and Taiwan, thus they stress their navy, bad idea, the West can always out spend the Chinese's communists, look what happened to the USSR.

Paris has thrown a fit, one can assume that it down to losing a billion dollar contract and not being asked to join in the first place, the French Foreign Minister compared Biden to DONALD TRUMP, they have really got their knickers in to a twist, well that is the French, at the least the UK did not sink their fleet as Churchill had to do in 1940 to avoid the Germans getting their hands on them, the French still peeved at that, this just adds to their anger.  They will get over it, it not liked the French are trusted by the World, they would have done the same thing to the UK, just we got there first.  The Defence Pact is aimed at China, they are going to become a threat, they have built their navy and are making claims on Taiwan. ONE doubts that China will invade Taiwan, the damage would be to great and it would bring in the US and now UK if the region goes hot.  The Biden Oval should invite the French President over, and with the agreement of the other two nations, ask France to join the defence pact, one doubts they will say no.
