The powers of the Presidency has gone to Trump's head, he thinks he can follow the example of Venezuela, someone needs to talk to him and fast, this will not go down well in Iran, the students have been taught about the 1953 CIA/MI6 inspired Coup that replaced left winger PM with the Monarchy, the Iranian people are a proud people, the theocracy will use these  remarks against Trump.  

The House to Vote on War Powers Act - Update

Let's Get Real:

It will be interesting to see this vote, the House in nominally Republican, but some are very American First, thus can be expected to support invoking the War Powers Act (1973), the Senate has said no, so it's academic, also Trump can VETO any resolution, the Congress does not have the two thirds to override a Presidential VETO.  It will be interesting to see the mode of the House and the American people.

Iran attacks Kurds in Iraq - Update

BBC News: Reports  that Iran has started to attack Kurds in Iraq.

Let's Get Real:

The Kurds will want firm promises from the Trump Oval, as the article notes the Kurds do not match the theocracy when it comes to Militarty Kit, thus they will want the air to be dominated by the US, and cover for ground operations.  They answered the call from Bush 41 to rebels against the Iraqi Regime, in the first Gulf War, but got no support, they do not want that again.  This War could take a long time.

This could be the breaking news tomorrow, with the US and Israel pushing deep in Iran, they could bomb ANY resistance to the Kurds.  The US and Israel cannot win a war with just bombing, it has to take out security structures in Iran, to allow the people to protest. Air and Ground attack by the Kurds could mean the end of the Islamic Republic, that is the hope!
