The Left Democrats vs. The Moderates - Who will fold first ? - Biden Era

Guardian - Live Blog: Reports in its 4.18pm the following post, Speaker Pelosi stated " she hopes to have an agreement on “legislative language” for the reconciliation package by tomorrow, which could allow progressives to support the infrastructure bill.  "

Lets Get Real:

The FIX is in, the Speaker is to smart to walk out on a limb if she does not have the votes, also POTUS is staying in the White House, thus there will be an informal commitment from the Moderates in the Senate to back the reconciliation bill, there will be a trim, the Moderates have to show they held out till the end, then both bills will be passed during the week.  One can smell a stich up, the Democrats can not afford to lose these two bills, they have to say they did something after keeping the House and retaking the Senate.  POTUS will then sign the infrastructure bill in to LAW.  One would be shocked if this does not happen, or is this blog to cynical.

Starmer's speech to the Labour Party Conference - Sir Keir Starmer/ Labour Party Conference

Lets Get Real:

Let's be VERY HONEST, Starmer is NO Tony Blair, he is not even a 2nd rate Blair, in his day Blair could have sold ice cubes to Polar Bears. Starmer is decent guy, he took on the Labour Left, thus the sniping from the LEFT during the Labour Party Conference, and has to deal with a outspoken Deputy Leader who wants his JOB.  This blog was going to give Starmer the benefit of the doubt, so started to listen to his speech, the speech was a hour and half, very personal according the commentary, this blog signed off after five minutes, when a politician starts to tell you of his humble background, get out the violins, this blog does not go for that kind of thing, its like X - Factor story for politicians, the worse the background, thus more in the telling, this blog does not want its emotions played with, the real world is enough for this blog, as stated this blog has severe OCD, thus I have seen a lot of political speeches, when politicians start to go about their poor background, this blog gets out a good film, Young Mr Lincoln, with Henry Fonda or the Grapes of Wrath, these moves are meant to move you, politicians  should talk about the future, a big future, not the hum drum, the speech content was small fry and far to LONG, 45 minutes is good for a speech. Bill Clinton had the same problem, he would start a great speech and then go on far to long, as he wanted to be loved by the viewers.  Mr Starmer should do better.  The next election could be in 2023.
