The FUTURE for Labour - Election 2015

Lets Get Real:

IT IS BAD FOR Labour, but it can return, it needs a new leader in the mold of Tony Blair, in other words a Conservative who happens to be Labour, this is not going to be easy, the old left and the trade unions are going to shout for a more left wing Party, if Labour voters go that way they will be out of power for a political generation, they have tried left wing theory with Ed Miliband, it did not work and was the wrong argument for the UK voter.    The Labour leadership fight should take a long time, find someone fresh not part of the Blair and Brown fight, also not part of the Miliband Shadow Cabinet.  Curious question, who are the new Shadow Chancellor and Shadow Foreign Secretary?   With Greece going bust and the threat of IS, the Labour Party needs a front bench or the Conservative Government will not face any opposition.

The Dark Prince Returns - Lord Mandelson - Election 2015

Lets Get Real:

The Labour Party if it wants to win the 2020 General Election has to return to the Blair agenda, people want to be successful, they are not keen on people being on welfare forever, they want a Political Party to understand the REAL WORLD, understand the economy, how it really works, it wants a friendly government and business relationship, people want to buy their own homes.   The above is what people WANT,  the Ed Miliband agenda was what people should want if they really knew it, a left wing government in the hands of the Unions.   Time for Labour to get OVER IRAQ as stated in my previous post and get the old New Labour hands to run the Labour Party.

Ed Miliband was the reason for the DEFEAT - Election 2015

Lets Get Real:

This blog does not believe in hitting someone when they are down, Ed Miliband has resigned as Labour Leader, his agenda was NOT the agenda of the UK voter, the Miliband Camp thought that the UK voter had gone left after the financial crash of 2008,  it might have done for a short time but with the economic recovery it went back to its usual position of centre right, and the thought of business bashing, welfare Labour Government was to much for the UK voter, thus the election of a majority Conservative Government for the first time since 1992.   It should have been a warning to this blog and to Labour that when the British people are nice to their political leaders ITS OVER, the voter in 1997 was nice to Sir John Major, a decent man who lost big to Tony Blair.    Thus Labour needs a long debate about its future, it needs to go back to the Blair agenda.

Labour and Scotland - Election 2015

Lets Get Real:

They are quite ruthless in Scotland it seems, give Mr Murphy a chance to look at the election outcome and see if he is a net positive or negative to the Labour Party in Scotland.   This call for the head of Mr Murphy comes from the Labour left, to be specific the Trade Unions.   As for Scotland and the rest of the UK the Labour Party has to follow the advice of Tony Blair, it has to go back to the centre, even centre right.   The UK voter in general wants a Political party to see the REAL world, supports business not bash them, also be hard on welfare when it has to be, the Labour Party is now going through a leadership contest, they should go back to someone who can win elections, that of course being Tony Blair, the left has to get OVER IRAQ, it was major mistake, but its OVER, the Labour Party needs either Tony Blair or a candidate who follows the Blair agenda.

Alastair Campbell on the 2015 Election

Lets Get Real:

I GOT IT WRONG ( KIND OF ), this blog predicted a Labour victory supported by the SNP. The actual result was a Conservative victory of 331 with a majority of 12, while Labour lost seats and came in with 232 Seats, the LibDems went down to 8, while the SNP went up to 56 Seats in the House of Commons..   This blog did not trust its own political gut, on election day this blog went in to a bookies and put a bet of £1 on the Conservative Party getting between 301 - 325, in fact they gained six more, while this blog thought Labour would get around the 250 range, the actual number was down by 24.  SORRY, I  HATE to be wrong, I did not trust my political gut and trusted the polls, others did also, see above, but BECAUSE others failed is no justification,  this blog says  again SORRY.
