The Labour Leadership CONTEST - General Election 2024

Lets Get Real:

The next general election will be in 2024, the Labour Party could decided the result now if it elects the right next leader.   The negatives for Labour would be Sir Keir Starmer and Emily Thornberry, they are London MPs and firm Remainer supporters.  While the election of Lisa Nandy or Jess Phillips would give the Labour Party a chance in 2024.  The PROBLEM with Ms Phillips is that she is a Remainer, and has stated that she would support going back in to the EU.   That will not go down well with Northern and Midlands Labour supporters, who voted Conservative first the time, as to get BREXIT DONE.   This blog is not a Labour supporting blog, that is VERY CLEAR, but its once piece of advice for Labour voters is vote for Lisa Nandy, she just might be the ticket to win in 2024.

Thus after the local elections in the UK the Conservative Party is back at a 22 point lead, that is good, this blog read a report that the Corbyn Campaign had given up on winning the election as was more interested in keeping its safe seats, it does not want to lose more than Ed Miliband lost in 2015.  The argument from the Corbyn side will be if Corbyn gets the same poll level as Miliband he should not resign.   The left never likes to give up power.   Those at the Centre of the Labour Party and the right might have to form a new political party.  Of course there are a couple of weeks to go, we shall see if the polls are right.

THE PM has already stated that she is not going to call an election this year, but the polls have been excellent since May come to power and the low opinion of Corby by Labour supporters.   It could be argued that the PM should reconsider, get a nice majority, then press ahead with Brexit, even an HARD Brexit.    Thus what about a October Election Prime Minister.

The UK and the EU - Referendum Vote

This is blog has not made its mind up about the referendum vote, lets see what kind of deal the PM brings back in February, either leaving or staying have their good and bad points, if the UK leaves we will be alone, therefore we will not have to follow EU policy on most things, that is good, but what happens if something goes wrong the economy or Jeremy Corby is elected in 2020, we are stuck in the UK.  Lets see the details of the deal first, then this blog will have an answer to the Euro question. One does hope that PM Cameron gets  a good enough deal, the UK voter are not great fans of the EU, it would not take much for the UK voter to vote to leave, one should never think one totally understands the voter, that was the mistake the pollsters  made with the 2015 election. 

Corbyn vs. Labour MPs - Corbyn Mania

If this is the level of talks between fellow Labour MPs the Party has a major problem, as noted by others, Corbyn does not have the power to force MPs to follow his line, while the Opposition is waiting its time, the Opposition should not fall in to the trap of waiting to long, that happened under the leadership of Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband, in that process the Labour Party lost two general elections.   As blog has stated the Blair and Brown supporters have to unite to get rid of Corbyn before he destroys the Labour before the 2020 election, time is not on the side of the Corbyn enemies.

This mess of the Labour Party Shadow Cabinet Reshuffle is making one wish for the days of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, and least fights like these were quick, one side or other winning.   The New Labour old hands must be wondering how much of this the Labour Party can take, it will become a laughing stock at this rate.   The Blair/Brown supporters should unite to get rid of Corby and his mob.   There will not be a Labour Party worth having at this rate.

It can be postulated that most of the Conservative Party will be voting to leave the EU, there are few of the elite who still cling to the EU idea, but how will the British vote in a Referendum is a tough call, thus you will have Cameron, most of the Labour Party, LibDems and the other Parties in support for the EU, as to how Corbyn will vote is not known at the moment, even if the Labour stand is to keep within EU.   Thus the fun begins, lets see who wins and loses, how many chairs will be left?

The Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn is heading for a cliff, the real hard left knows this is their only chance to lead a political party, the sane ones know it wont last, others have started to think that because Corbyn got a big vote in the leadership that is more important than actually winning an election.  The Blair supporters should make their move to get rid of Corbyn, otherwise the Labour Party will be out of power in till 2025 at the most conservative of predictions.

The Labour Party is in open civil war, if the Party can not unite when it comes to a matter of War and Peace, then what hope over other issues, will Labour MPs defy Corbyn when it comes to the UK's nuclear weapons.   The Labour Party after the 2015 election went back to its comfort zone, left and then left.   This is no way for a modern political party to behave, it needs to love Tony Blair as this blog has stated, it will only learn how to win elections from the Blair way of winning three elections.   The Labour Party is a sorry example of  a Opposition.

Thus the former PM speaks, the problem is that one of the main problems of Labour in power was the feud between Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, one wanted the others job, while Blair wanted a New Labour Legacy.  As a Conservative blog even this blogger can see how much Brown/Blair could have achieved if they had worked together.   But what they did was to have the usual old Labour feuds updated.   The Labour Party can only be Government in waiting if it recovers some of its Scottish Seats, the question is does Scottish Labour want to be seen as a arm of the main Party, they have come out against Trident, while the majority of Labour MPs support the UK having nuclear missiles.   Thus there are internal breaches that have to be fixed before 2020.

The Prime Minister David Cameron should inform the Queen that due to the actions of Labour and Liberal Democrats Peers the Conservative Government will place a hundred extra Conservatives in the Upper House as to get its Agenda through.  The Opposition having lost the General Election of 2015 are trying to block the Agenda of the elected Government.   The House of Lords of un - elected Peers should have followed convention and allowed the Bill go through, what next will they try to stop, this calls for tough action by David Cameron.

The Labour Party is a fine mess, they have left wing Leader and Chancellor that are not supported by a majority of Labour MP's they think the Twitter World is the real world and they are heading a mass people who do not support the Conservatives, they have not realised that the 2015 election has happened, thus the Labour Opposition is a joke of the first order, Tony Blair must be pulling his hair out, what happened to the Party that could win elections.

The Police should be doing more to make sure a democratic conference does not face such violent action, the leaders who dreamed it up should be under arrest, if they can not control their people then they are not leaders.   The far left always think they are better than everyone else, the real fact is they are worse, as they think they represent what is good and right thus their supporters can do no harm, the real fact is that they are anti democratic, if they can not win through the ballot box they go for street demonstrations, time for the police to read the RIOT ACT. 

Tax Credits - Conservative Party Conference

The bill for tax credits is 30 BILLION, the New Labour Government under Tony Blair bought tax credits in to existence due to lie, as Tony Blair stated to Alastair Campbell the Treasury cooked the books as to the cost of tax credits, it went from millions to billions.   At its heart it allows mean employers to hire workers on the cheap and then for the government to fund them, the welfare state was not meant for such policies.   The UK Government has to keep to its reform, make work pay, even increase the living wage, so people are not out of pocket.   The general election of 2015 showed that people understand that the government can not print money forever, at some time it has to be paid back, thus the austerity reform of the present government.

The Labour Party is in a World of hurt, it can process the fact that it lost the last election big time, in fact it lost Seats from 2010, and during that time the Miliband team had moved Labour to centre left, the election of Jeremy Corbyn has moved the Labour Party off the cliff and in to haze that it might never return from, the article notes that the election of Corbyn is seen as more important, that shows how out of touch the Labour Party is, the UK voter when given a choice between  a left or right Party, chose the Conservative Party, they want to keep their own money, they want to pass that money to their children or grand children, they want a small State and they want the Unions under firm control.   The Labour Party faces being out of power for a generation, in that time good MP's will see their careers go down in flames and become ashes, they should recall those young Labour MPs's in 1979 who thought they would be back in power in a few years, they had to wait seventeen and a half years.   Thus one can expect those with ambition to move to other Parties, why become trench fodder for a Leader you do not support or even like, the Liberal Democrats or even Conservatives might get some defections.

The speech by the Shadow Chancellor was happy hour for the extreme left of the Labour Party, as stated in previous blog; if Labour wants a happy hour, hire a hooker, do not push your ideals on to voters that have rejected it, as in the  recent general election.   The BBC seems to be going out of its way to give the impression that Corbyn and Co are normal, they are from the extreme left, the majority of Labour MP's do not support them, and if they could throw them off a cliff they would do so in a minute.   Thus Labour is caught up in its own bubble, it thinks what it needs to keep its new supporters happy, news to these idiots, the young never vote on mass, in the 2015 general election this voter saw a lot of older voters voting, thus its £1 bet that the Conservatives would be the largest Party, even this blog did not see that the Conservatives would have a majority.   Thus its fun seeing a Political Party go over a cliff and not needing to be pushed.

The Guardian/BBC types will be happy that Jeremy Corbyn will win the election, its their kind of left wing out there agenda that will run the Labour Party.    As a political opposition the Labour Party will become a joke, they can forget 2020 and 20205 general elections, one only hopes that David Miliband comes back in time to save the Party.    The Conservartives only problem will be the regular backbench opposition.   The Party only has a majority of 12, thus No 10 has to keep them in line and keep their support.    What a great day Saturday will be when Corbyn wins, the Conservativers can rest a bit in till 2025.

This is the choice that the Labour Party has, to go over a cliff with Jeremy Corbyn or to vote for any body else, the Labour Party faces internal fights if Corbyn wins, the man does not even support NATO.   Corbyn has shown that he is to pro Russia, would not defend our allies and out national interests.   The Labour Party has to get over Iraq and Tony Blair, and show that is still wants power.   This is a call for ALL rational Labour supporters to vote for anybody but Corbyn, otherwise forget being the official opposition.

Does the Labour Party ever want to form a Labour Government again, if the Party votes for Jeremy Corbyn for leader then they can write off the 2020/25 election.   Jeremy Corbyn was only allowed on the ballot as to keep the left happy, they very idea of him winning should send a shock waves through older members of the Party, those that recall the 1980s.  Lady Thatcher kept winning elections because the Labour Party lost touch with the public, they wanted left wing purity, that meant that the Party was out of power for eighteen years.   The Party should be on its knees to Tony Blair to thank him for his elections wins, if your a Blair support now its a term of insult.   The Party needs to get back to the centre otherwise it is finished and the UK will have one party rule for the next few decades.

Mr Miliband senior speaks the truth to the Labour Party, for this blog a one party State under the Conservatives would be fantastic, but if you're  a true Democrat you want to see a good opposition keeping the any government on its heels.   A Corbyn Labour Party would cause a civil war within Labour after a few weeks, the majority of the UK population is never going to be as left wing as a Corbyn Labour Party.   Thus real Labour voters have to vote for either Ms Cooper or Liz Kendall,  a vote for Andy Burnham would give the Labour Party five more years of  a Northern Ed Miliband.   The Labour Party faces a choice either get real or be thrown in to the dustbin of politics.  That is the choice for Labour.
