It was said that the Late Queen would be dragged in to the Andrew scandal.  Everyone makes mistakes, ex Prince Andrew was her favourite son, we all have blind spots for people we love, all the mistakes are at the door of Andrew, he has bought shame to the UK and the Royal Family.  This is the last thing the King needs with his health problems.  God Save the King.

The important word is officially, the Queen is keeper of all secrets, one would have hoped through unofficial officially that the Monarch would have been told, that Blunt was not a good egg, to be on her guard when talking to him, even about Royal pictures.   ONE does hope today, that the Royal Court is vetted from top to bottom, we don't need another spy scandal.

This was shocking news, King Charles has not been long been King, at least the King can carry on with is desk work, sign laws by giving the Royal Assent and seeing the PM.  It would have been a shock to active man like the King, the rest of the Royal Family will have to take up the slack, some good news is the that the Duke of Sussex is coming home to see his father, he could stay a few months to help the work load. The SPARE could be of some use at last, one should not forget that he served is Country with HONOUR in Afghanistan, well the family is calling NOW.  One sends one sympathy to the King at this fraught time and to the rest of the family.  The modern medicine of the WEST should be able to fight the Cancer.  GOD SAVE THE KING.

This review will not go in to the in our outs of the case, click the link above for that, this just an overview of the Duke of Sussex and his actions, his father the King will have his coronation in a few weeks and he sees his youngest son whining to the Courts about his hard life, the Duke really needs to smell the coffee, he is not broke, he is  happily married to the Duchess and he has kids, also he is he is rich, after his Netflix series and his rather good book SPARE, one feels that the Duke has never gotten over the being the 2nd son, and as he wrote he has sees his brother, the Prince of Wales as his arch nemesis, thus he wrote that the Prince of Wales physically assaulted him by throwing him to the floor and breaking the dog's bowel.   The latest revelations are that the Prince of Wales did a deal with the press, and that the Royal Family has also done a deal with the press.  The King does not need his family's problems aired in Court.  The Duke of Sussex is lucky with his father, he would NOT have tried the above with Henry VIII, Queen Mary I and James II, It would be the Tower of London time and no WIFI, and bread and water.  The Duke needs to move on, the past in the past, he needs to build bridges will his brother and the rest of his family.  The King should have some peace before his coronation, the Duke should grow UP.

At least that clears one problem for the new King and Queen.  It can be postulated that Prince Harry can be managed without the Dutchess around, and will behave, all eyes will be on him, he has no formal role in the Coronation, how will he feel to see his arch nemesis, the Prince of Wales having a role and his son Prince George, it is sure to grate, also will the King and Prince of Wales have the private talk with him, as SPARE has shown he does not keep private chats confidential.  God Save the King

Normally long term leaders, like Thatcher get thrown out by her Cabinet, this blog was shocked to hear that Nicola Sturgeon had resigned, of late all we have heard from Scotland is Nicola Sturgeon and the debate about trans rights.  The sole purpose of the SNP is break up the UK.  The recent polls have shown that the direction is going the other way, due to the political decisions made by Sturgeon and the Scottish Parliament when it comes to the TRANS issues, the support for the break up of the Union has faded, the UK Supreme Court stated that the Scottish Parliament can only have a referendum on a Independent Scotland if it is granted by the UK Parliament, and that is not going to happen at present.  Thus we must take the First Minister by her words, that it was the right time to go, people will be discussing this for years, it will be like when Harold Wilson resigned out of the blue in 1976, of late new information has come out, it seems that the late Queen saw that Wilson had declined and tried to suggest time for him go, in this she was supported by Wilson's wife back home.  One does think 8 years is enough for any leader, Blair made the mistake of staying on for 10 years, before being pushed out by Gordon Brown and his supporters.  One must respect Sturgeon, she did a tough job, not my cup of tea, and held to her view, before making her mind up, that enough was enough.

It was the decision of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to leave the UK, and to leave the Royal Family, the Royal Family have been quiet since the allegations from the memoirs of the Duke have come out, the question that the Duke must ask himself, it was his decision to tell the world that he killed 25 Taliban and that the Prince of Wales attacked him, also it was Prince Harry who did not believe his brother when he told him near the grave of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor that he wanted him to be happy.  The Duke has had a lot of therapy, he needs to sue, it has not made himself aware or see the faults of his wife, from the view of the bullied Royal staff who complained, Hollywood is not the British Royal Family, celebrity comes and goes, just ask the stars of the silent screen, world famous one day, then with the talkies out of work.  Royalty transcends the silver screen, loyalty to the Crown is without question.  God Save the King.

One does really hope that there are not more revelations in the 557 pages of the SPARE, one assumes that Buckingham Palace will use the Sunday Broadsheets and the tabloids to set outs its own view of the previous history.  The line that memoirs might differ will not hold up, either Prince Harry is telling the truth or its a subjected TRUTH, and TRUTH these days is up to debate and one's own truth might be very different from reality, just ask Donald Trump.  At least the late Queen did not have to face this, she never set a foot wrong in public, what she would have said about this mess is open to debate.  The King really needs to get his son over from California and way from the Dutchess for a good talk, family is family after ALL, does Prince Harry want to really ruin the Royal Brand, as stated by this blog, the Duke of Sussex is making Duke of Windsor look like part of the Establishment, and the titles held by the Duke should be open to question, family secrets like the above should never come out!!

What do about the Sussex's, the latest salvo from California will not go down well with the King and the Prince of Wales, they have to set aside their personal views and hold up the Crown and the Royal Institution, the King has made it clear his love for his son, but these attacks and the forthcoming book will be closely read, already the Prince Harry has called his Father a liar, YES the King and stated his brother screamed at him when they discuss the Sussex's leaving the family firm, yes his brother is now the Prince of Wales.  This blog has come to the unfortunate view that at the titles of the Sussex's should be removed, if they are always sendings negative comments in to the book and TV, then they should have no titles at ALL. At least the Duke of Windsor waited 15 years before his book came out, that is a lifetime in the modern age.  At least her late Majesty was saved this, one does wonder what the Queen Mother would have made of it ALL, what was the point of 1936 and losing her husband early, this blog of late saw an article that showed how similar King Edward VIII, the Duke of Windsor was to Prince Harry, it can be postulated that the Windsor's learned the hard way that celebrate only lasted a few years, while the Crown goes on, the Sussex's children can be give titles later on if they want to become part of the firm, children do rebel, so it might happen.  The next few days will be all about the SPARE, thank goodness Prince of Wales was born first, in time he will make a fine King William V and his son, George VII.

It was a fine speech by the King, the first male Monarch to give a TV Message, the first Monarch to do a Christmas message via Radio was King George V.  As an indifferent Conservative voter I supported the King's praise for the public sector, if in No 10 might have had a my eyebrow up, as we know we have public sector STRIKES ALL over the place, thanking the public sector can turn to anger if Nurses, train employers and your Postie does not turn up with your Christmas cards or presents might rise the other eyebrow.   One assumes that that the King's speech was cleared or at least shown to the the No 10, as one can expect the Unions to bring it up in the new year with the Conservative Government.  One look forwards to a long reign by King Charles III and a more happy period, one can hope, the Ukraine is never far away from this blog's thoughts, something has to give, either the West is going to appease Putin or there is a Coup against President Putin, a peaceful YEAR ahead does not look likely, thus we have Russia in the Ukraine, North Korea and a expected nuclear test and Iran on the edge of getting the bomb. Enough is ENOUGH, the King need to put a stop this ROYAL SOAP OPERA, the Duke of Sussex makes the Duke of Windsor look like part of the ESTABLISHMENT.  That comment should tell you enough on how this blog views the action by the Duke of Sussex.  If the Sussex Family are show critical of the British Royal Family, well then it's time to cut bait, remove ALL the TITLES, let them be Mr and Mrs Windsor, if that is what they want.  As for the Sussex children if later on they want to be part of the firm, they can get the titles they should have had, but for the actions of their parents.  The latest episode of the Royal Soap Opera is a diversion when the UK needs it attention the public sector strikes, the cost of living crisis, inflation, the people on the whole support the Royal Family, but the Royal Firm needs to deal with the issues of the Sussex once and for all, either they shut up from now on or allow the House of Commons to remove their TITLES.

The last ten days will remain long in the memory, at first the news of the Queen's ill health, the hours as the News anchors tried not to lead to speculation, and then the news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen was Dead.  This news for this blogger only become real when you coffin was taken from Balmoral with the Royal Standard on the Coffin.  Then people going to see the Queen's coffin in Edinburgh, then the Queen's Coffin in Westminster Hall, the thousands that musts have passed the Coffin to show respect, the procession in Westminster Abby with the King and his brothers and Sister behind the Coffin.  The Age of Queen Elizabeth II saw the UK move from Empire to Commonwealth, then the cultural revolution that was the 1960s, from music, to cinema, to laws to allow people to be gay, and the death penalty was scrapped.  The 1970s saw the UK as the sick man of Europe, weak Governments and over mighty unions, then we come to the 1980s and the glory that was Lady Thatcher, the taking on of the Unions, the UK at War over the Falklands, the advancement in the economy, ordinary people could buy Shares, the 1990s, saw the first Gulf War against Iraq over Kuwait, the fall of the USSR, and the end of the Cold War.  The terror attacks on 9/11, when the UK showed we are firm supporters of the US, the near banking collapse, then the Pandemic of Covid - 19, and now the cost of living Crisis, the War in the Ukraine, all these developments the Queen has been there, the rock for the 2nd Elizabethan Age, now we have King Charles III, God Save the King.

It would be unfortunate if the RIFT between the Prince of Wales, and the Duke of Sussex was not healed by the death of her late Majesty, the Queen would have wanted the FIRM to be united, the above story seems to negate that, its only a State Dinner, Buckingham Palace might want to re think the non invite,  as the article points out they did get an invite, but then reports in the press stated they were not wanted.  If Duke of Sussex were to agree to bin his memoirs, and be more co - operative, then the Palace might rethink the HRH for his the Duke's children, this blog does not see the difference in them being made a PRINCE and PRINCESS with or without the HRH, a Prince of the Realm is not bad, its comes to communication at the end of  the day, compromise is always good, as long as all sides are on the same page, the Duke was allowed to wear his military uniform at the vigil of his grandmother, at least the Duke and Duchess should now consider making some compromises, it is sometimes coming half way.  One will assume one will hear more about this if this is not solved. 

Queen's Coffin in Westminster Hall - King Charles III Era

It was so moving watching the Queen's coffin being taken from Buckingham Palace down to Westminster Hall, the coffin was followed by the King, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex.  The death of the Queen has bought the family together, that was good to see after the last few years.  Seeing the coffin, with the Imperial State Crown on top bought the reality that the Queen is dead, after her long service she can join her husband, Prince Philip, who died last year.  The responsibilities of the Crown now fall on King Charles IIII with the help of his Queen.  After a short service the people will be allowed in to see the coffin, sometime time during the day the Queen's children will do a vigil by the coffin, it will be a very moving sight.

The above was very unexpected due to the well known tensions between the brothers, the one silver lining from the the death of her late Majesty might be that the brothers have managed to solve their disputes and get back on friendly terms.  It was nice to see the brothers and wives doing a Royal walkabout to talk to the people who had come down to Windsor to show their sadness at the death of the late Queen.  The Royal Family needs to be reunited, it works better that way, also Charles is NOW KING, he does not need warring brothers, the new role of King will take some time for the King to learn, one often finds if there is peace on the home front then one can get the job done.  I would be nice if the Duke of Sussex would bin his memoir, some secrets need to be kept. 

Proclamation of a new King - King Charles III Era

It was a very moving, the Proclamation of King Charles 111, it was moving to see all the former Prime Ministers, they had the good fortune to have the late Queen as their advisor, a Monarch who had seen it ALL.  The new King knows all the leading politicians of the UK due to his role as Prince of Wales.  It will be interesting to see the King following the example of her late Majesty in giving advice to his new PM, but not allowing his public views to be known.  That was the MASTER ability of her late Majesty, we felt we knew her, she was the pillar of the UK constitution, but we never knew her political thoughts, that was between her and her Prime Minister. This blog has surprised at how moved it has been by the last few days, the Queen is no longer there, sometimes we do not take notice of stability, all through this blog's 53 years the Queen has always been there, when ever the state of the Country, one felt safe, as long as the Queen was there, the Country would come through, it's a big job for King Charles III to follow.

This was the King's first full day as KING, the King and Queen came down from Scotland, and before going to Buckingham Palace the King went to thank the thousands of people who had turned up to show how much they missed the Queen and to give support to the new King.  Then the King did a broadcast to the Nation, it was very moving on the loss of his mother, the King was also honest, his political agenda will have to be moved to the new Prince of Wales, Prince William, as King, Charles III must be seen as neutral, even on issues we know he has a opinion on.  The King as stated, made Prince William the NEW Prince of Wales, also he stated his love for his son, Harry the Duke of Sussex.  It should be noted that Prince Harry was the last to arrive in Scotland and the first to leave at 8.15am.  Thus on this Saturday Charles III is declared King, the Country it can be stated is in safe hands. 

Queen Elizabeth II has died at 96, after 70 years on the THRONE

This is a very SAD DAY for the UK, we have lost our rock, the Queen was the stability in a changing age, she was a pillar of stability, duty, devotion, this was indeed a 2nd Elizabethan Age.  The UK has gone through many ups and downs since the late Queen came to the Throne in 1952, we lost an Empire but gained a Commonwealth, we have become a multi - cultured society, the Queen's Coronation was televised to her new subjects, many did not have TV, there has been a vast change in technology, the Queen was up on the latest technology, used facetime to talk to people.  This year was the celebration of her 70 years on the Throne, it showed how loved the Queen was, she will be greatly missed by the people and her family.  It will be sad to think that she is no longer there, thus we must learn to say GOD SAVE THE KING, King Charles 111 one hopes follows the template of his mother when it comes to his Reign. 

Europe AFTER Brexit - After Brexit

The above is from a Guardian writer, the remain remoners have never gotten over Brexit, it was the finest day in UK Democracy since the end of World War 2.  The people are the final judges on the future of a Country, it should be noted that WALES voted for Brexit, as noted on TV at the time, buildings built with EU money does not give long term jobs.  Also what has the EU ever done for the poor areas of WALES, NOTHING is the answer, it was reported that the Queen had stated whatever has the EU done for me, as the Queen is sovereign, that means what the EU done for the whole of the UK.   The EU is for the elite and run by the elite, that is why the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill is so important, the UK Government should decide on OUR borders.  Thus it is important that goods going to Northern Ireland from mainland UK do not need to be have extra paperwork or taxes.  The UK is now alone, as it always should be, Europe is Europe, it can be argued as individuals they should be judged, as a Political Unit they are threat to DEMOCRACY, and the UK has defend democracy during two world wars, we are now the symbol of the democratic spirit in this crisis World.   Who wants to go to France anyway! They do not have English Tea!! Once the Ukraine War is over, and the area is at peace, UK Subjects should visit Kiev.

This is a day of celebration the Queen is celebrating 70 years on the throne, she has done her duty every day, to this day no ones the Queen's views on politics or anything else, she has always been there, stability in a crazy world.  The Queen has to put with a lot from her family, but she carries on.  Let's hope the Queen reigns for a lot longer, the FUTURE is coming, one SAD DAY, Prince Charles will become King Charles 111 and the Duke of Cambridge will become Prince of Wales.  One hopes the follow the examples of their mother and grandmother, there is talk that Prince William wants to be known by his first NAME, someone should really talk him out of that, the joy of royalty is its formality, when you meet a UK Prince or Princess you call them Your Royal Highness and then after than Sir or Mham ( if you welsh, that might get confusing ), the same with the Queen, its Your Majesty and then Mham, its the tradition behind, that is very important.  This blog is always Royal, in the good and bad times, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
