The Ukraine drone strikes on Russia and Crimea has been very effective, people are fighting for oil and the Crimea is in a state of Emergency.  Putin has to do something to divert attention from his failures, the meat grinder that is the Ukraine front for Russian Forces, the Ukraine attacks on oil depos has had the desired effect of waking up the Russian people to the fact that they have not won the Ukraine War and by this rate they will never, thus according to Western Intelligence Putin might attack Poland or the Baltic States to see how Trump Oval and NATO reacts, the UK will have a new PM, who is untested in international affairs, and wants to return the UK back to the 1970s.   The Andy Burnham might have failed before he has even started.   The Labour Party could be kicked from office in 2029 or 2030 General Election and we could have a REFORM Government.

Russia must be the most sanctioned nation on EARTH, but the economy is still going and has returned some stability after the first sanctions.  One can assume that China has been supporting Russia by the back door, NOW it seems that they will give arms and ammo to MOSCOW, the US and the WEST has to place pressure on China, the WAR in the Ukraine could go global by accident.  The Western economy would never recover if there is a WAR between China and the US and its Western Allies, thus some kind of pressure must be placed on the Chinese leadership, they have to be warned, that any military assistance to Moscow would cause a frosty war between the US and the West, also any threats to TAIWAN could lead to a conflict between the US and China.  Why not send  Henry Kissinger out there, he might be able to talk to China, he did start the thaw in relationship with China during the Nixon Presidency.  It only needs an accident, for the WAR in the Ukraine to go WORLD WIDE.

The West has woken up to the FACT that Putin is another HITLER, even by this morning news on the partial mobilisation of Russian Forces, Putin has followed Hitler's move to Total War after the failure in Russia with Stalingrad, also Putin has learned the lessons of Vietnam, he has not gone for a general mobilisation because he would have students on the streets against the WAR and they would be joined by their parents.   The younger Russians can see and connect the dots thus many taking one way tickets out of Russia on the latest commercial planes , otherwise they will be next to be cannon fodder for Putin's War in the Ukraine, thus best to get out NOW, and not wait to be called up.  As to Putin statement that he is not bluffing, Putin knows he either wins the WAR in the Ukraine, or he is toast, and failed Russian leaders do not have a good end, Tsar Nicholas II is a classic example and Hitler at the end of World War 2.  The question that has to be asked, how far will the West escalate this WAR in the Ukraine, what if Putin does use a low level nuclear device in the Ukraine, as to frighten off Ukrainian Forces and the West, what will the West do.  At this moment the West does not have a FDR or Winston Churchill in place, one does hope that Western leaders find their inner Churchill or else the West and Russia could do down a very dark road.

The last ten days will remain long in the memory, at first the news of the Queen's ill health, the hours as the News anchors tried not to lead to speculation, and then the news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen was Dead.  This news for this blogger only become real when you coffin was taken from Balmoral with the Royal Standard on the Coffin.  Then people going to see the Queen's coffin in Edinburgh, then the Queen's Coffin in Westminster Hall, the thousands that musts have passed the Coffin to show respect, the procession in Westminster Abby with the King and his brothers and Sister behind the Coffin.  The Age of Queen Elizabeth II saw the UK move from Empire to Commonwealth, then the cultural revolution that was the 1960s, from music, to cinema, to laws to allow people to be gay, and the death penalty was scrapped.  The 1970s saw the UK as the sick man of Europe, weak Governments and over mighty unions, then we come to the 1980s and the glory that was Lady Thatcher, the taking on of the Unions, the UK at War over the Falklands, the advancement in the economy, ordinary people could buy Shares, the 1990s, saw the first Gulf War against Iraq over Kuwait, the fall of the USSR, and the end of the Cold War.  The terror attacks on 9/11, when the UK showed we are firm supporters of the US, the near banking collapse, then the Pandemic of Covid - 19, and now the cost of living Crisis, the War in the Ukraine, all these developments the Queen has been there, the rock for the 2nd Elizabethan Age, now we have King Charles III, God Save the King.

The calls have already started, we must not push Russia to far, that is find no way out, we must deal with Russia, the Kiev ( Russian spelling ) cannot defeat Moscow and thus should DEAL.  The calls have even been spouted by the venerable Henry Kissinger, former NSA and Secretary of States to Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, the Ukraine President stated that Kissinger had the WRONG CALENDER, that it was stuck in 1938 not 2024.  Why do all the diplomats want to be another PM Neville Chamberlain, and not Churchill or Reagan by winning WW2 or winning the Cold War.  They want to appease so much it makes this blog sick.  Why are our suppose betters in intellectual not have the BACKBONE to WIN, Russia will not give up, well the West should not give up, the Putin Regime is EVIL, and must be replaced as stated by POTUS before the White House walked it back, and gave the impression that Biden is gaga.  This UK PM is right, this is his Churchill moment.

The US Supreme Court would be committing a great error to overturn Roe v Wade, it is the most Classical Liberal ACT, as in the most Conservative, it places the decision in the hands of the woman and her Doctor.  Thus a individual issue, that is what Conservative should really support, the Court if it does the above, moves the issue in to the political arena, There will be Conservative States that BAN ALL abortion, while Liberal States will have abortion on demand.  Also the Democrats will roll with this issue in the November Mid Terms if the above is the final decision of the US Supreme Court, and Biden should he run in 24 will use this issue against his Republican opponent.   The Republicans should wake up and smell the coffee, the above is bad politics and bad morality.  One hopes they change their minds on this subject.

What are the Russians playing at, it might be an attempt to show to the Russian people that they tried for TALKS before the erase Ukraine from the MAP.  The Ukraine Delegation should be MAKRE FIRM DEMANDS, a ceasefire, the Russians return home, that there be REAL HIGH LEVEL talks between the Kiev Government and Moscow.  The Kiev Government is trying to show that it has tried even in a WAR to have talk, that should make the West feel guilty for not placing sanction on the gas and oil from Russia.  This blog has argued that the Kiev Government has to make up its mind, how much of there cities and lives are they willing to lose, it would be better to go full insurgency, getting support from the Wes, in this case the US and UK, make the Russians fight the Ukraine WAR, in the woods and mountains.  The lessons of Vietnam and Afghanistan show that insurgency can work, it just takes time and the patience to wait out the enemy.

HOW is the US and other supporters going to get the military support to the Kiev Government, they either go on road or by plan drops, one can assume that the Russians will NOT BE HAPPY with either, what happens if the Russians try to stop such support, will the Troops or Air Force have the authority to shoot back, yes that could very well start WW3. On the other hand this cold be IT, if we do not take Putin on here, where is next, Poland the Baltic States, as has been stated by a few people, Putin could have gone nuts, or is he is following the Nixon Mad Man Theory, keep the other side off balance, Nixon did that with the bombing of Cambodia in the early 1970s.  One does not think that Putin is that good a actor, so one has to take the view that he has gone mad with that so power for all those years.  One hopes the brave people of Ukraine fight on, make Russia bleed for this ACT OF WAR.

The US Supreme Court is showing its Conservative majority in a BAD LIGHT, abortion should be legal and on demand, the Texas law in essence bans abortion, the US Congress as controlled by Democrats should pass a new FEDERAL law that over rules any of the States from taking the same action as Texas.  As true Conservative sees Abortion as a private issue, the Government's role should be limited, to try to STOP abortion the Supreme Court is being VERY LIBERAL.  One hopes the Biden Administration ( Read Biden's Oval reaction to the Texas law ) can get something right and get the US Congress to pass a hasty bill to protect Abortion as a FEDERAL RIGHT as it was from the 1970s onward.

It was sad to hear that the former Vice - President had died, although his family will be grieving, it is important to look at the Carter - Mondale record while in OFFICE, on the domestic front there was high inflation, low employment, and on the international front, Russia invaded Afghanistan and the ruler of a secular Iran was overthrown by the Regime still in power, the number one supporter of terrorism in the World.   The Carter victory in 1976 was a reaction to Watergate, Vietnam and the failed polices of the Ford Administration.  At one debate President Ford seem not to get the fact that Easter Europe was under the influence of Russia.  The victory in November 76 was the high point, after that it went down hill.   In 1980 Reagan was a massive victory, 44 States and turned the US around on the domestic and international front.  In 1984 Mondale won the Democratic nomination and was defeated by Reagan by 49 States, 59% of the vote and 525 electoral votes.  Later Mondale tried to run for his old Senate Seat, he was defeated.   Thus the view that over all Mondale had lost ALL 50 States at one time or another.

Thus the Biden Oval has learned nothing from the failure of the 1970s and the Administration of Jimmy Carter, sometime down the road the US will need SA support for some action, and they will have to decide what matters most, morality or pure real politic.   The American people knew who they were getting when they elected President Biden, thus the US can expect four years of non leadership, the limited attack on Iran backed group in Syria and this slap in the face to an ally.  One would have thought that Biden with his years in the Senate and Vice - President would have learned something, it seems NOT.  Presidential weakness in the US leads to other actors taking the stage, and its not the benefit of the West.
