New Peace Proposal from Iran - Update

Let's Get Real:

Iran is playing the Trump Oval, they show a bit of leg and Trump thinks the War is over, then when you get to the small print they change their minds.  Tehran knows that Trump is weak and desperate to end the War he started, as stated in previous post, Trump is worried about the Mid Terms and the Democrats winning, if this happens they will invoke the War Powers Act, this will curb Trump in Iran.   The TACO President is all at sea when it comes to Iran.

Let's Get Real:

The Trump Oval must finish the Iran War before the Democrats invoke the War Powers Act to restrict his actions.  Tehran is playing the US with the peace process and ceasefire, they attacked a nuclear plant in Abu Dhabi with a drone, there was no release of radiation from the site.  Trump cannot TACO again, his hardly there Presidential Credibility will be gone, if not gone already.

That dog won't hunt with Democrats, they hate POTUS so much they would rather the US lost to Iran than give Trump a VICTORY.  The Democrats as a whole would rather allow IRAN go nuclear than allow Trump to set the agenda.  As stated in previous post past Presidents have stated that the WAR POWERS in illegal and not constitutional, and they were right.  If it was a Democratic President the Democrats would be arguing for attacks, that is how bad D.C is at the moment.

As the article notes the War Powers Act ( 1973 ) comes in effect on May 1st.  After that the US Administration needs Congressional approval for the War in Iran.  It should be noted that past Administrations while following the law have always said its against the US Constitution, what will the Congress do, on the whole the Republicans are supportive, while the Democrats not so.  The American people are against the War from polls taken in the US.

Israel and the US want to keep Iran out of the Israeli - Gaza War, also they want to make sure that Iran does not allow its allies in the Middle East to start attacks should Israel go in for a tough land invasion of Gaza.  The thought of Biden dealing with the Ukraine War and major regional war in the Middle East would age POTUS and bring him a critical reaction from the left wing of the Party.   On the other hand Israel cannot allow itself to be told by the US if and when it goes in to Gaza, let's recall that October 7th was their 9/11, fifty years after the last major war in 1973.  One does think that Karma is putting Biden behind the 8 ball, think of all mistakes he has done in the past when it comes to foreign policy, on doubts that Biden thinks that, look at his mistakes with Afghanistan.  It is matter of waiting for the ISRAELI Government to decided when is the best time for an invasion to take out Hamas.

President Biden if he goes with this DEAL, will be showing the same arrogance as Neville Chamberlain did in 1938 at Munich, history has shown that Joe Biden knows nothing about international politics or history, this was shown by the US Departure from Afghanistan, Biden is desperate to bee seen as a Master of World Affairs, a bit like Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon, those Presidents were flawed, but they were right when it came to ending World War 1 and the War in Vietnam, Biden was opposed to US troops being in Afghanistan during the Obama Presidency when he was VP, at least Obama overruled him then, last year there was no one to overrule Biden, he is the President.  Thus we come to the Obama - Iran deal, if the Biden Oval goes for this DEAL, he will be seen as a Appeaser, in the same mould of Chamberlain.  The US allies in the Middle East will get the message, that the US is WEAK and they must act together to prevent Iran getting the bomb, no matter what the Biden Oval wants.  Thus will WORLD SECURITY come down to Israel and its new Allies, that is the future Debate.  Iran cannot allowed to have the bomb, it has shown that it is either close to the bomb or has the bomb, the only person not getting that message is POTUS. 

Abortion Rights UNDER THREAT from US Supreme Court - Mid Terms - Biden Era

The US Supreme Court would be committing a great error to overturn Roe v Wade, it is the most Classical Liberal ACT, as in the most Conservative, it places the decision in the hands of the woman and her Doctor.  Thus a individual issue, that is what Conservative should really support, the Court if it does the above, moves the issue in to the political arena, There will be Conservative States that BAN ALL abortion, while Liberal States will have abortion on demand.  Also the Democrats will roll with this issue in the November Mid Terms if the above is the final decision of the US Supreme Court, and Biden should he run in 24 will use this issue against his Republican opponent.   The Republicans should wake up and smell the coffee, the above is bad politics and bad morality.  One hopes they change their minds on this subject.

The UK Government has been bounced in to this, it would not look good if the US banned Russian OIL and and its closes Partner did not follow, this blog expects a gradual reduction in our import of Russian oil and gas, the economy will need time to process this development, the EU will be a bind, as stated Germany, Italy and Netherlands get a big part of their oil and gas from the Russians, they will look like they are appeasing Russia, if they do not follow suit, also the Kremlin might cut off the products anyway as away to react to the news from the US and the UK.  One can expect barrel of OIL to reach highs not seen in years, the Russians it can be postulated can sell the products to China, China is a growing economy with huge energy demands, also they will get a discount as RUSSIA needs the money.  How long can Putin keep the WAR going in the Ukraine.

One the whole US Presidents have more power in the foreign affairs than, they can start wars without the approval of the US Congress, the Wars Powers Act of 1973 states that after about certain of weeks the Oval Office has to ask the Congress for financial support for the War.  If Trump was Richard Nixon, he would strike Iran HARD, unite the Republican Party, there would be some who would oppose but they would be in the minority, the Democrats would be VERY DIVIDED, the left wingers in the House would want to impeach Trump again, while the moderates from Conservative Districts would be placed on the spot.  The Democratic candidates for President would also be placed on the spot, would they support the action or go to the LEFT.   This is why Presidents prefer foreign policy, they hold nearly all the Aces, but one doubts that Trump is that bright.

When POTUS is peeved about the press that he gets, he goes on a Twitter fury, as to if he is being real about DACA and NAFTA that is open to question.   If DACA goes down the toilet it would be seen as a good thing by Trump supporters, the same with NAFTA, when it comes to immigration the Trump supporter thinks the US has to much of them, and as for NAFTA it seen as killing old job structures and allowing cheaper goods in to the US, thus harming home produced products.   On the whole POTUS has seen a surge in his approval ratings, that might be the US economy is on fire, unemployment is down to figures not seen since 1973, the stock market has taken a hit but still a better investment in the long term.   Also one has to factor in the tax cuts of the first year of the Trump Presidency.   POTUS has stated he is running for a 2nd term, one would be foolish to think that Trump can not win a 2nd term.  Every President since Reagan has gotten a 2nd term, with the exception of Bush 41, and he lost because he raised taxes when he promised not too.  The Democrats have no firm leader, and Trump has a Summit with the leader of North Korea, that should be interesting, what if Trump has a successful Summit, that could help him in 2020.

At least there is some common sense within the Washington system, the Department of Justice is there to follow the law and the orders of the President.   The uber left will scream, they always do that, they will have protests, they will call Trump another Nixon.  Let us recall that Nixon won elections, and if Watergate happened today it can be argued that Nixon would not have resigned, Fox News would have supported him through the period.  The US left sometimes goes off a cliff without getting the fact that its on very thin ice with the voter. That is why Republicans tend to win Presidential elections.

POTUS sacks Acting US Attorney General - Trump Era

It took President Nixon five years in the Watergate period to sack officials from the US Justice Department, and that was at the height of the Watergate scandal, it has take President Trump less than two weeks.  But as the article states there is a difference, " This time around is a bit different, however. Acting Attorney General Sally Yates essentially forced Mr Trump's hand when she ordered justice department lawyers not to defend the president's recent immigration order in court. ".   It will be interesting to see the political fallout of this action, how will the Republican Congress react, the Watergate case will be used by Democrats to paint a dark picture of the Trump Presidency.   The extreme left will want to impeach Trump, not really on the cards, as stated it's hardly two weeks since Trump took over, also the Republicans control the Congress.   From a political perspective the next few days will be very interesting.

Obama and Iraq - The New Iraq War

Lets hope that the Oval understands the above is a holding statement. there is no way the Iraqi Army and the Kurds will be able to take large towns, that takes experts, thus US Special Forces, also there has to be a question will the Kurds go in to towns that are majority of a different ethnic group, the Iraqi army is going to take time to build and re -arm, thus again the need for Special Forces.   It can be postulated that no on with a brain cell believes that POTUS wont use ground troops, if not it will be Vietnam pre 1965 again, it will be a battle to keep gains, and prevent IS aka the Viet Cong from taking more ground.  Interesting times ahead in Iraq. 

Are the Taliban the new North Vietnam ? - Afghanistan Update

This is a fig leaf folks, the Western Allies are running out of Afghanistan in 2014, the US is keeping a small force IN Country to go after Al Qaeda, lets see how long the US stays, a small force will be a tempting target for Al Qaeda and the Taliban.   Lets be brutal here folks, the Taliban can have Afghanistan, they are welcome to it, as long as they understand, should they allow Al Qaeda back in to their former safe heavens the West from bases in Pakistan will use drones to take out any threat.   As in 1973 when the US agreed to leave South Vietnam its only a  matter of time before the Taliban overthrow the Afghan Government and retake Kabul, one does feel sorry for the women in Afghanistan, will will not leave them with much after so many promises of support, it can be argued that the Taliban are the modern North Vietnam/Vietcong, they outlasted another power, the British Empire had to many bloody shirts from Afghanistan, the War in Afghanistan helped bring down the USSR, the US and Allied presence today shows the limit of modern power.   History repeats itself, Vietnam, Afghanistan, one wishes modern leaders had read history at University.    The voters in the US and UK want out of Afghanistan, the War has been to long, and the cost to high, and for what, sand that falls through your hand.

Thus folks this does have the smell of Watergate, in 1972 the Nixon White House wanted to keep the Watergate break in away from the Oval and thus stalled through 1972, the story broke a few months in to 1973, that set of the Congressional hearings, in one way the present Oval is safe, the Democrats control the Senate and will try to keep the wolfs, the Republicans from the Oval, but that only lasts as long as there is no emails, texts, phone calls or Morse code from the Oval that tells the IRS to target Tea Party groups.  It has to be stated that this could be civil servants, a rogue group of liberals trying to help Obama,  one can not dismiss that, just this old cynic find that VERY hard to take, its up to the Republicans to find the links, if there are real links.  The targeting of Tea Party groups has the smell of Chicago politics, so underhand its the norm in Chicago, just never been used in such a large scale in D.C.  Even Nixon never went that far, and he want far!  If the Democrats on the Hill get any thoughts that the Oval or the White House was part of this targeting they will run for the hills, 2014 is coming up folks, and politics is politics at the end of the day folks. 

Talking to the Taliban - Vietnam Again!!

Telegraph: Reports the following agreement by the US and Afghan Governments, the article notes the following, " ..agreement from the US to set up a Taliban office in the Qatari capital, Doha, to facilitate possible peace negotiations with Taliban. ".

Lets Get Real: 

This is a mistake folks, the US Government from LBJ to President Ford talked to North Vietnam about the the Vietcong War in Southern Vietnam, the US even signed a peace agreement with the North in 1973, the US got out and in 1975 the Northern Vietnam forces took over the South.   The Taliban will see this move as weakness, they will see that the Oval really wants out of Afghanistan, so why deal, they can out wait the Obama Oval, just carry on the attacks and have massive type Tet attacks so it gets on the US news.  Once NATO leaves it is just a matter of time before Afghanistan falls in to Civil War and the Taliban use the NATO withdrawal as PR to show they WON and threw out the Western forces.    Folks history has a very nasty way of repeating itself, this is just another example.   So many Western deaths for nothing, for nothing. 

13 US Soldiers Killed - Afghanistan

BBC News: Reports that a suicide bomber has killed thirteen US Soldiers in Kabul, Afghanistan. The US and UK want out of Afghanistan by 2014 folks, you cant blame them, Afghanistan is a hell hole within a hell hole, in time the British Empire and the old Soviet Union have had their backsides kicked in Afghanistan. The problem for the US and the UK is that in many respects we have given the Taliban a free hand to kill our Soldiers, we have told them that we are leaving by 2015 at the latest, thus Obama faces being merged in to Presidents who have had Wars gone wrong on them, the Vietnam War become LBJ’s War, after the death of JFK, by 1973 Nixon had a deal on Vietnam, but then came Watergate, and Nixon and Ford could not prevent the liberal Congress from cutting funds to South Vietnam. Thus the humiliation of seeing that last helicopter leaving South Vietnam, the Taliban are going to win in the end folks, in less we change policy and say we are going to stay what is the point of us losing our brave Armed Forces Personnel.

Rebuking a President = Obama and Libya

The New York Times: Reports that the US House of Representatives will limit the military role of the US in the Libyan War, the article states the following on the rebuke to Obama, “.. extraordinary and potentially bipartisan rebuke of a sitting president engaged in an active conflict abroad. ”. This is down to the basic fact that President Obama has broken the War Powers Resolution Act that was passed in 1973 after Watergate to curtail military action by a President of the United States. After sixty days of military action that has not been given the green light by Congress at the start a President has to seek approval or remove the military presence. The Oval seems to think that since the UN has given approval that it does not seek the approval of the US Congress, this has miffed to say the least both the House and the Senate. The legal opinions from within the Obama Administration is also against the President, its only President Obama who thinks its legal. That ego again from Obama. But the main problem for President Obama is that the War in not popular, you either win a war or you don’t fight a war, that’s the problem with allowing Harvard lawyer to become President, he still thinks he is doing a Harvard Seminar, that you can fudge the difference, thus Libya, leading from behind, Afghanistan, going against the advice of the military. Obama is no REAGAN.

Obama and the “Non” War - Libya

Telegraph Live: Reports the US has been spending four million dollars day on the Libyan operation. If this is not a War its costing, the US might not be doing strikes but it is NATO, thus however much POTUS uses his rhetoric to distance the US from action it’s a US War, no US support then the Allies, UK and France could not take action over Libya. Lets hope the US Congress gives the green light to this operation after sixty days, as required by the War Powers Act, otherwise the UK and France will have to be out. Thus the US is in three Wars, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. What is the EXIT route out of Libya for the UK and France.
