Let's Get Real:

President Trump is feeling the heat of the WAR he started, there is economy and the rise in gas and groceries due to inflation, this is hitting Republican chances in the Mid Terms in November, if the Democrats take the House and Senate one can expect endless investigations and another Impeachment case before the Senate.  Then 2028 Presidential cycle starts, poor people of Iowa and NH will have endless candidates visiting.

Let's Get Real:

POTUS should stop saying peace is at hand, these recent strikes could go on for weeks, Trump has to sell the deal to Republican hawks in the US Congress, any weak deal will open the White House to charges of appeasement and Trump is a LOSER.  The loser bit is something Trump cannot handle.  Also as noted in previous post, there are competing factions in Tehran.  The Hawks in Tehran want to keep its nuclear stockpile and control of the Strait.  The more complex diplomacy needed, who will blink first.
