Either Iran reacts or does nothing, if wise and that is questionable they will not act, thus a limited operation from the US.  Trump has no Presidential Credibility any more, his harsh rhetoric on Iran is not march by military reality.  The Tehran Regime can outlast Trump, the Oval has to worry about the Mid Terms that should see Democrats take the House, even the Senate is a possibility, then in depth investigations by the Democrats and the start of the 2028 Presidential Election cycle.

The Democratic Party is being taken over by the LEFT, Trump calls them Communist, this faction has no understanding of the US, one can argue that they don't like the US much, J.Edgar Hoover would have had a field day with them, this faction could do with being bugged.  They are dangerous, as Trump took over the Republicans, the hard left is trying to take over the Democratic Party.  The question is can LEFT wing Candidates win in the fly over States, then we come to 2028 schedule for Presidential Primaries, the Democrats have decided to keep South Caroline as the 1st Primary, due to the African - American vote, last time this was done was to help President Biden in his re-election in 24, and we all know how that ended, they forgot that Barack Obama won the Iowa caucus in 08, a majority White state, it showed he could win White votes, the rest in history.  Then we have the problem of Iowa and New Hampshire, NH has a legal requirement that they go first in Primaries, so who will break first, NH or the Democratic Party.  Thus the same issue with Iowa, they tend to go first, small States that can road test candidates, many a candidate has been broken in Iowa and NH or seen their campaigns rise in the polls, Clinton in 1992.  The Democrats could be creating their own defeat in 26 and 28.

If the Tehran Regime is sane, that is open to question, they will not react to the US counter attack because of the helicopter loss, they will carry on with talks they are winning, the TACO President wants a way out before the Mid Terms in November.  The erratic President sees the Memorandum of Understanding as the goal no matter the consequences for the Gulf States, Israel and the World.  Trump will go down as another Neville Chamberlain, an appeaser who did not see the threat out there.  The Iranian nuclear issue will face the next President, in that time the Tehran Regime could have a nuclear weapon.

This is an empty threat from Trump, the Republican Party as a whole supports Israel, the Democrats have gone far left, in other words the base of the Democatic Part is very firmly anti Israel and pro Palestinians, the candidates in the 2028 Presidential cycle will have to appear to the left to get elected and move to the centre to get elected, not an easy move for the Democrats, easier for Republicans to move from the right to the centre.

Another delusional statement by POTUS, that the US could take Iran's nuclear stockpile anytime, as there is no need for a deal, as the stockpile is entombed after the US bombing.  This could be a way for Trump to end the War before the November Mid Terms, the TACO President is delusional and erratic. One can't wait for the 2028 cycle to start, even then Trump will want to be in the news.

These conditions the Trump Oval could never accept, it would make Trump a BIG LOSER in US and World Terms.  Is Tehran trying to sink any memorandum of Understanding before any deal.  Are the hardliners trying to assert control of the process, they also want the US to lift sanctions. The US hawks, Republicans in the US Congress would oppose such a deal and the Democrats would have a field day before the Mid Terms.  Trump must consider bombing Iran again.  The 2028 Presidential cycle will start soon, VP Vance must be worried about his chances of winning.

Trump is obsessed with Barack Obama, he spent most of his first campaign on the LIE that Obama was not born in the US.  Thus Trump wants to show that he can get a better deal than Obama.  The new deal still leaves Iran with its nuclear stockpile, and more talks, Tehran will play that out for ages, in time for 2028 Presidential cycle.  The Tehran Regime know now that they can wreck the Western economy, by closing down the Strait of Hormuz, and Trump is a chicken, who will not follow through with threats.

This blog is betting that POTUS will go TACO, what concessions will he give Iran, keeping their nuclear stockpile or control of the Strait of Hormuz.  Cowardice in the face of the enemy will shatter Presidential Credibility.  The US VP will have to explain this in the 2028 cycle, Reagan and JFK are turning in their graves if Trump gives concessions.

Thus more threats from Iran, whatever peace Terms the Tehran Regime has sent to the US are delusional and made to confuse Trump.  The President is erratic and wants to end the War, he wants to open the Strait of Hormuz, he needs gas prices to go down.  The Democrats are breathing down his neck, the Gulf Allies are afraid if the war restarts they will become targets.  The TACO President must act or be seen as a chicken.  The 2028 Presidential cycle will start soon, his VP needs the war over and for it to be successful.

One presumes that POTUS knows for a fact that the Tehran delegation will turn up in Pakistan, any humiliation climb down should not have the face of the Trump Oval behind it, that is the job of the VP, he wants the nomination in 2028 and Trump's support.  It will depend how poor deal goes down in Washington DC, will the Republicans in the Congress support the deal, even if the US gives concessions to Iran over its nuclear stockpile and the Strait.  The Trump Oval will sell ANY deal as a victory, it choose this war, did not build support for a War or sell it to the American people.

Update: Sky News reports that Pakistan is still waiting for confirmation from Tehran that they are coming to Pakistan for talks.

Update 2: Sky News reports via the New York Times that the US VP's trip to Pakistan is on hold.  This is Tehran being rude to the US and Pakistan.

IRAN wants DEAL - Update

Is Trump delusional or believes his own press statements, VP Vance was sent to Pakistan to get a deal, he was seen as anti War and the mission failed.  The Tehran is playing Trump, he wants out, but Iran won't give up on nuclear ambitions and controlling the Strait of Hormuz.  Someone has to give, it could be, Trump, declared victory and leave.  That would be a major Appeasement by Trump. That would give the US House to the Democrats before 2028 cycle starts.

This not a great idea by the former VP, that what happens when people close to her do not tell her truth, she was  not a great candidate in 2024, and she did not face challengers, VP was given the nomination by Biden, after his disastrous debate performance against Trump.  There is also the issue that women have created their own glass ceiling, they do not want a woman President, never mind men.  AFTER the Mid Terms in November, the 2028 cycle starts.

There is a lot hanging on the talks tomorrow is Islamabad, the US - Iran War and the political career of VP Vance.  It is known that Vance did not support the War in the first place,  by ideology he is an American First politician, wants to keep out of wars in the Middle East or forever Wars, like Afghanistan and Iraq.  THUS he needs to get a good deal he can sell to voters in 2028, when he is expected to run as a successor to Trump.  A bad deal would finish him off for 2028.
