One feels sorry for the former President, but there are limits, even his former VP has stated in her memoirs that it was reckless for Biden to run in 2024, it is reported that his Politburo White House thought that Biden would need a wheelchair in his 2nd term if elected.  That they would have to shown signs of life after 6 months to the press.  This is up there when President Woodrow Wilson had a stroke at the end of his term and the 2nd Mrs Wilson was the effective President.  There is also JFK's ill health and affairs that the press did not cover.  There is a trend here folks, Democratic liberal Press and the failure of the press to cover Democrats who are President.  If press had covered Biden at the start of Administration with same vilgance it covers Trump he might not have run in 2024 and we could have had President Harris not Trump in the Oval.

This shows that President Putin has interest in finishing the Ukraine War.  The Ukraine Army is gaining in the Donbas, the Russian economy is on the back foot and there are reports that Putin is not getting accurate reports from the front.  One has to ask if Putin is losing it, he has been in power for a long time. There have been reports about his health of late.

The King and Queen will have a thankless task of fixing the Special Relationship, in between Trump and Starmer it has been fraid beyond repair.  The King and Queen will do a good job, one hopes against experienced that Trump will behave himself, no insults about our Army, the Royal Navy, the Foreign policy of Sir Keir Starmer, ot his thoughts about the Duke of Sussex! The King does not need this with his health problems or the former Prince Andrew and the Epstein files.   God Save the King.

As the Guardian points out none of the Moderates are up for re-election  in 2026 Mid Terms,  of the eight only two are retiring in 2026, so no political cost to them. Democrats will have to explain why they shut the government for 40 days and Republicans will have to produce their own health plan, if they have one.  They have hated ObamaCare since the start, and the subsidiaries to ObamaCare was due to covid outbreak, that is the problem with welfare, once given it is hard to take back.

The Duke of Sussex has been a silly boy with his frank biography, in that book the King came out well, the Prince of Wales, or as the Duke of Sussex called him, his arch nemesis got most of the negative flak, the Prince of Wales made the mistake of being born first, that is something that the Duke has never gotten over, the fact that Prince William will be out next King.  Thus the name of the biography " SPARE ".   The Royal Family has a history with this, the Duke of Windsor vs King George VI, King Charles vs the Duke of York, that is a lot of history.  Thus the War between the brothers should not be that much NEWS, well we do have a Monarchy, thus this kind of petty arguments get a lot of Press.   The King with his ill health does not need this, the brothers should make up, the Duchess of Sussex is the problem, does she have to come with the Duke when he visit's his father and family.

There have been rumours of late about the health of POTUS, the liberal media was not that concerned about President Biden and only noticed in his debate with President Trump.  One would suggest that Trump have a full medical to see if all is all right, NO US President would have appeased Putin the way Trump has, he seems his ego cannot take the fact that he was played by Putin, this has happened to Bush 43, Obama, and Trump in his first term.   The US must bring the Russian economy to its knees, make the Russians pay for the WAR, over a million dead and no mass demonstrations in the street, even the people of Imperial Russia managed that in 1917 and bought down the Tsar.  What has happened to the backbone of the Russian people, has decades of Tyranny under Soviet Regime and Putin made them cower in their homes.

From the TV footage the Iranian missile hit has done considerable damage, it hit a cancer ward, the patients had been removed the underground of the hospital.  The visiting Israeli politicians have promised that Iran will be hit hard for this action.  The article states that overnight that Israel hit a Iranian nuclear reactor, the Jerusalem Government has to hit Iran harder.

One has to ask have they caught it in time, what were his Doctors doing during his Presidency, could it have been caught at an early stage.  The American people have the right to know, was his ill health known and they did not dare to investigate it, as it was an election period.  ONE hopes the former President can get through this, OUR King is also fighting Cancer, it will effect most men in their lives.

The Duke of Sussex gave a powerful interview after losing his court case over his security.  The problem is that the Duke LEFT the UK for the US, it was his decision, he left the country not the other way around.   The King is the King fighting cancer, he does not need these kind of headlines before VE Day, the Duke should have done this privately and through the family, not in public for everyone to see, forgiveness is a two street, the Duke has not helped himself or his reputation with this move.

The choice of Bobby Junior has split the Kennedy family, the views of Junior is out of the mainstream to be fair, but the late Ambassador Kennedy would have been appalled, it was family first and second.  One can argue about the merits of his views, but one thinks that Kennedy family have given enough to the US, the deaths of President Kennedy and his brother Robert F Kennedy, so on this this blog is in favour of the nomination, its is not like Bobby would be close to the Presidency, should anything happen to Trump and Vance at the same time, the next in line is the Speaker of the House.  The hearing was as expected, the Democrats attacked, while the Republicans were supportive.  This blog would not be shocked if the nomination failed, that is the game of politics.

IF President Biden really believes he could have won, the White House Staff having been smoking something they should have not and the smoke has gotten in to the brain of Biden.  Recent polls show that Biden between 34% and 41% job approval rating, the Democratic candidate would be lucky to outrun that, and VP Harris was not that lucky, there was the inflation and the failure get out of Afghanistan  in decent way, and Biden's broken word that he would leave after one term as President.  Then we come to Trump 47, he was accused of being a fascist by the Democrats, and other American people chose a felon over the decent if inept Biden, the 1st debate of 2024 showed that Biden was out to lunch and that is being kind.  It was a disaster to watch, and millions watched it, after leaving OFFICE, Biden needs a through check up by his Doctor and to work on his legacy.

This is the night for the VP to shine she has to show that she is a tough prosecutor, and Trump is the felon.   The expected bounce from the Convention was limited or none, she is no Barack Obama or Mrs O.   The American voters want to see her in tough interview, this is not 2020 and Biden hiding in the bunker at home, the press cannot cover for her.   A NYT reporter called her CNN interview OKAY, that means not okay, she seems to brittle being on screen, ironic for a prosecutor.   The general feed from the news channels is that Harris will try to get under Trump's skin and the Trump Campaign is hoping to do Reagan funny comment as of 1980 and 1984.  It will be a late night in the UK, the debate starts at 2am in the morning.
