Trump is very frustrated, he wants that Nobel Peace Prize.  The Oval thinks if he had get Kyiv to cave to Russia, then he could get the Price, he is that delusional, the Committee in Norway will never give him yet, they hate him.  As for his European comments, he could be right, uncontrolled migration is a problem, it did in the Roman Empire, also bad economics developments, devalue of the currency.   The UK and Europe are aware of the problem and are not tough enough to deal with issue.  All civilisation end sooner or later, Egypt, Rome, UK and now its American turn to their power decline.

The American people in poll after poll have made it clear they do not want a rematch between President Biden and former President Trump.  The American people are not happy with the choices being pushed by the Established Parties, the Republican Party has become a CULT OF TRUMP, while the Democratic Party is to afraid to unite around a new candidate.   This is the time for a third party candidate to come forward, either male or female, moderate on social issues but tough on Defence and cutting the spending of the US Government.   The bases of both Parties are well off the reservation, the Republicans follow the cult of Trump, it would give victory to Putin in the UKRAINE, while the Liberal base of the Democratic Party, just wants to spend more, the US is about 35 trillion in debt, that cannot go on.  2024 should be about the rebirth of US Democracy, one just hopes that the Country and the political establishment  wake up in time, or the US will follow the Roman Empire, mass migration and the fall of the Empire, and the British Empire become to expensive for the UK from 1947 onwards after WW2.

As a political matter this blog expects the US Congress, the House and Senate to pass the political deal done by the President and the House Speaker, the liberal press have made sure that the general public and politicians have been scared enough that they will vote for the agreement.  The Question is should they, is a US default that risky, the answer is NO, the money men know that the US is good for the debt, the question is for how long, by 2025 the national debt is expected to be around 35 trillion dollars, YES that is TRILLION, at some point the bank manager is going to say NO, then we will have a major great depression, I know critics of this argument argue that no one is their right mind will call the debt, that is a major mistake, what if Russia starts to hit NATO Countries as an attempt to cause division, over the Ukraine, or China seeing the West is diverted by the Ukraine, tries to invade the Taiwan. Those could sink the money markets, so let's not say something like that can never happen.   The wiser members of Congress should vote NO on the debt ceiling plan, the US has to cut, a I mean big cuts in welfare.  Every Empire formal or informal has its day, the same happened to the Roman Empire, British Empire, is the US next?

This is a game the political parties play in the US System, depending on who is in the White House, the Administration puts out scare stories and this is carried by the media, the liberal CNN carries scare stories of what will happen should the US Congress not pass what the Administration wants, a clean debt ceiling rise, the World will fall apart, the US will fall apart if it does not deal with having a 32-33 trillion debt.  All Empires end either because they can not afford to be the World's policeman, as was the case with the British Empire after WW2, or in the Roman case, the coinage was devalued and there was mass immigration in to the Roman Empire.  The Republicans should call the Biden bluff, it will happen sooner or later, as some point the Bank Manager will make the call that  the US has to cut is budget, that means welfare but not defence as the US needs to counter China in Asia and the Russians in the Ukraine.  The Democrats spend like US taxes is their money, the fat lady will sing one day and it will all fall.

The most important thing is to get our people out, that no one is hurt in the Sudan, if our troops are fired upon they must shoot back, it does not matter who shoots, they must be taken out.  This is a risky operation there could be thousands of UK Subjects in the Sudan, the US has been very quiet, is POTUS more worried about his announcement that he is running again for the Oval Office. One hopes the US and the UK are working together and not mounting separate operations.  There are risk, but a UK passport should mean something, in the old days of Empire, we would have sent a gunboat up there to tell the people to calm down or face the wrath of the British Navy.   Our Royal Navy is much limited know and the only real threat that would be taken as a REAL THREAT would be the Americans.  Where are the Yanks when you need them.

IF this blog was a US  or UK citizen it would not be happy, it has been reported there are sixteen thousand US Citizens in Sudan, the US State Department has made it clear that there will be no Cavalry coming to the rescue, the FCO will do nothing.  It seems that POTUS is doing another Afghanistan, that is why POTUS is seen as weak, and why his approval ratings are in the toilet, anything really risky and he is hiding under his desk, to think that JFK and Ronald Reagan had that desk, Biden is following the Obama foreign policy failure route, he thinks that he can leave Americans behind and there is no political comeback.   At least POTUS is supporting the Ukraine in its War with the Russia, the Republicans on the whole are supporting the Trump Isolation policy.  This is how powers fade, just look at the example of the British Empire, we could be leading to the hegemony of China in the 21st Century as long as they do not invade Taiwan.

This is Afghanistan all over again, the diplomats are taken out, good work by the Armed Forces as usual,  but the people are left to get shot, it seems that there are sixteen thousand Americans in Country, and there are many UK citizens also, the FCO as usual does nothing, its typical of the FCO viewpoint, do not get involved in the affairs of other Countries, and slow walk the process in till the press lose interest.  If you had left the Falklands to the FCO they would have handed the Islands over to the invading force.  The UK and the US should send in a peace keeping force, with a simple order, if you are fired upon taken them out, does no one recall Gordon of Khartoum ( see the film), a US and UK passport should mean something in these kind of incidents.  One suspects that POTUS and PM Sunak do not have the guts to bring peace to the Sudan, POTUS is expected to announce  on Tuesday that he is running in 2024.

The Russians will go up the wall over the French supporting WAR CRIMES TRIALS, the French and the Germans are seen as the weak points in the Western WALL.  The last thing that Putin wants is to be dragged to a European Court and to face he the crimes he has committed in Russia and outside Russia.  One does hope that this idea is a WESTERN PLAN to get the attention of the Kremlin, to make them consider WESTERN TERMS for the end of the WAR IN THE UKRAINE.  One can see a DEAL, were the Russians get out of the Ukraine proper, but stay in the CRIMEA ( it can be argued that the Crimea is a long term Russian interest, the Crimean War in the 19th Century, Russians against the Brits )  The benefit for the Russians, is they get to keep the CRIMEA, and its accepted by the WEST and no WAR CRIME TRIALS, while the Ukraine is allowed to join the EU and NATO in time. That would be real politic at its best.

One hopes these moderates hold out for a lower number, 3.5 trillion on anything from welfare to tax cuts is to high, also they should oppose tax hikes that make it more simple for companies to leave the US and go to a lower tax level Country.  Also the problem with welfare, and its always welfare with the the extreme left is that it GROWS, it never goes down, the more welfare the more people you put on welfare and they get stuck in that cycle.   One can argue that WELFARE is un - American, the US only grows because individuals have ideas and they bring them to market, they either work or they fail, with welfare people get stuck in a cycle of dependence on it. Would the US be the only super power today if at its start everyone was on welfare, look at the UK, British Empire, once we had welfare, no EMPIRE, there is a link.

Also it can be argued that that Taliban and ISIS-K might be enemies at the moment, but who is to say that will not change, now that the Taliban have control of nearly all of Afghanistan.  The West has to be on guard, Al Qaeda could be reborn, ISIS-K could become a THREAT.  The West will be back in Afghanistan, we always come back.

President Biden as VP under President Obama never supported the Afghan War and used anything negative to undermine the President and his plans.  This move by Biden shows that he is WEAK AS DISHWATER, the Taliban will simply wait for the US to remove it forces and then go in for the kill and try to retake Kabul.   It is reported that Biden will leave troops in Afghanistan to protect the Embassy,* let's hope that is correct and the US Air Force should be used to take down the Taliban if they try to attack US land forces in Afghanistan as they leave.   Let's be clear this blog has never supported sending troops to Afghanistan in the first place, its is the graveyard of Empires, the British Empire had wars in Afghanistan, while the USSR invaded in 1979, both sides found that Afghanistan and planning does not work.  But once the US and the UK were in we need to win, it seems we are throwing in our cards as we cant win in the long term.  As to miss quote LBJ, if Biden fails in Afghanistan then the Republicans should ram Afghanistan up the backside of Biden, its his WAR to LOSE.

The PM should think about throwing in towel, as is stating that the talks are going nowhere and that the UK will do with a NO DEAL BREXIT or Australian rules. The UK would go on to World Trade rules, if it is good enough for the rest of the World is is good enough for the UK.  Then we will have a freehand to do DEALS with Commonwealth Countries and the rest of the World, we can offer VISAS to these Countries as they were part of the British Empire.  Once we are clear on that the EU will come running for a DEAL, then we can discuss when we want to.  It must come as a shock to the EU that a Country would leave the EU, and would refuse it move on its demands.  Thank goodness for the British voter, we will not be bullied, we voted in 2016 and 2019 to break it off with the EU, our time is coming soon.

One of the very first posts this blogged ever posted was its opposition in to going in to Afghanistan, the UK has the bloody t-shirt from previous operations in Afghanistan during the time of the British Empire, and thus we spent 13 years there at the cost of many lives and treasure, we left the US still there, and here is the change from this blog, the US has to stay, this can not be another Vietnam, with pictures of the people trying to get in to the last chopper out of Saigon.   The Trump Oval has to stand firm, take the fight to the Taliban and other terrorist units in country, the Taliban have to be pushed back, the US has to power to down mountains, it should be used, the Mother of bombs ( non nuclear ) SHOULD be used.  The poor people of Afghanistan can not be left to the terror of the Taliban.   Afghanistan can not be lost, or we could face another 9/11 at some future date.

One can expect the REMAIN papers and channels, that includes BBC News and Sky News to focus on the BAD NEWS of Brexit.   The Pound goes up and down, the point of the story is to undermine support for Brexit, make the people peeved at the government for making their pound do less when they are abroad.  Those that support LEAVE has to counter these arguments with the FACT that no one knows what will happen on the 1st of November if the UK leaves without deal.  Airplanes will fly, boats will go in to ports, a banana will get to the shops, we got through WW1, the Spanish Flu, WW2 and the end of Empire.  This is the change for the UK to reclaim her Greatness.
