This is Trump placing pressure on Ukraine to fold, Kyiv should stand strong, the coalition of the willing will support them with arms and Intelligence, Trump has a mental problem of being tough on tyrants and dictatorships, as with the case of the theocracy in Iran and the Putin in Russia, he wants to please them and get the praise, Trump is another Neville Chamberlain in the making, and that lead to WW2.

UK and French Forces to be sent to Ukraine if Peace Deal Agreed - Update

Sky News: Reports that UK and French forces will be sent to Ukraine if there is a peace deal.

Lets Get Real:

This agreement by the coalition of willing, is based on Russia agreeing to DEAL.  This blog is not holding its breath for that outcome, this agreement will annoy Putin, and give him the chance to go covert operation on OUR troops should they go to Ukraine.   If Putin agrees then expect trouble and casualties, Russia would like to hurt NATO, see how much casualties that France and the UK can take.  It could turn in to a disaster, thus we need the US as a backstop, the cost could be Greenland.

BBC News: Reports that the French President is holding a meeting of the coalition of the willing to set firm and secure Security Guarantees for the Ukraine.

Lets Get Real:

The coalition of the willing want the US as a backstop to any security guarantees, thus Venezuela causes a problem and Trump going on about Greenland does not help matters.  Any invasion of Greenland would mean the END of NATO and bring pleasure to Putin of Russia, thus Sir Keir Starmer should get on a plane and visit Trump, to see how serious he is about the idea, and to warn him of if it is a REAL THREAT.

The Russians are stuck in their previous demands, they must have seen the news from Berlin, they will NEVER accept Western Troops in the Ukraine or the US security guarantees from the US and Europe.   Thus the Trump will have to make a choice, does he support Europe over Russia, did he have balls of steel to go up against Putin, his tyrant buddy.  The next few days will be interesting.

UK, France and Germany to discuss Trump47 peace plan for the Ukraine - Trump47

Sky News: Reports in its 10.57am post that the UK PM, French President and German Chancellor are to discuss the USA/Russian peace plan for the Ukraine, they will be joined by President Zelensky of the Ukraine.

The Europeans have to stand up to the Trump Oval, the proposed peace deal is a Russian wish list, in includes the removal of sanctions on Russia, also as stated in previous post, Russian demans that include the Ukraine not joining NATO, reduction of its armed forces and removal of long range missiles. Also give up land in Eastern Ukraine, that it controls.  SKY News reports that the Trump Oval expects the Ukraine to sign on next week. Europe must ACT, NOW.

French PM ousted in No Confidence Vote - Ukraine - Russian War

 BBC News:  Reports in its 5.59pm post that the French Parliament has OUSTED President Macron's PM.

The problem is like Bush 41 and Margaret Thatcher, politicians who were see by the Voters as more interested in foreign affairs than the costs of every day life, and the French like to protest on the streets.  This remind's one of the 1930's when governments did not last long and Hitler was on the move, now we have Putin in the Ukraine, can France match the rhetoric of Marcon as part of the coalition of willing, Putin must be rubbing his hands with glee.  The Ukraine will be worried.

It seems that Trump has gotten the message about land swamps, according to President Macron the Oval agrees that land swaps can only happen with the agreement of the Ukraine, if that is true, what is the point of the Summit, that can be done over the phone, has the Trump ego been checked by Europe and the press.

 Guardian Reports that President Putin of Russia has suggested thar the Ukraine be placed under the UN, as to allow for elections in the Ukraine.

This is a way for Putin to replace Zelensky with someone more favourable to the Russians.   IT is a cheek, Putin is the dictator, and warmonger, he invaded the Ukraine in 2022 and is estimated to have lost a million killed.   The Trump Oval is fawning over Putin, the coalition of willing must defend the Ukraine, No matter the cost.

This is when the car hits the road, will the UK and France follow through with the troops on the ground, troops and air cover.  The French are talking about a reassurance force, sounds soft to this blog, and the UK wants the US involvement, Trump has been pretty clear that is not going to happen.   This is 1947 all over again but in reverse, the US is saying it will not defend the Ukraine, and that it will be up to the Brits and the coalition of the wiling.   Why Sir Keir has to use that term, reminds one of Iraq in 2003.  This is time to show some backbone, stand up to Putin.

The ceasefire on energy sources has held, now we shall see if the sides will take a deal on the Black Sea, for the Russians it will  be about Defence, for Kyiv it is an economic  importance.  The question again where is Europe.   IF a Total  Ceasfire, who will guard it, it  cannot be weak countries, thus Europe must guard it, will they really stand up when the  calls come?

Sky News: Reports in its 12.40pm post, that  30 Countries of the Willing are going to meet Thursday discuss peacekeeping in the Ukraine.

What if POTUS and Putin  come up with another Munich 1938, will the Ukraine, UK and France go along with it, or will turn in to a bitter row between the suppose NATO allies, Sir Keir cannot back down, the same with President Marcon in Paris.  Thus historical day tomorrow.

Sky News Reports in its 3.40pm post that President Macron of France has stated that President Putin can not be allowed delay a ceasefire in the Ukraine - Russian War.

The French are following the line from the Ukraine, that Putin is trying to put off a ceasefire, as Russia is doing allegedly  well in the Kursk region of Russia.  IF Trump wants a ceasefire he will need to use some stick on the wild Russian Bear.  It would be a first from Trump, he has acted as a pawn of Russia so far.

BBC News: Reports that President Zelensky will hold talks with the US on the future of the War in Saudi Arabia.

Is this a good idea, Zelensky has kissed the Trump47 ring, EU says it will spend billions of Euros on Defence, we shall see if it happens, the EU never moves that fast.  The Saudi Arabia meeting could be a disaster, it could be Munich 1938 again.  POTUS might want a quick deal with Russia at the expense of the Ukraine, can Sir Keir Starmer and President Macron control Trump 47, he is an apologised for Russia, a pawn, a new Neville Chamberlain.

BBC News:  Reports in its 10.45am post that Russia opposes European Troops in the Ukraine, and must be consulted on any troops.

Moscow wants a VETO on any peacekeeping troops in Ukraine, they see Trump47 as a major appeaser, the catch might be Europe and the UK.  The UK and those countries willing to defend the Ukraine, might be called upon sooner than expected, its not just the Donald and Vlad show, this feels like 1938 all over again, let's hope its has a different end, and we don't have WW3.

BBC News Reports in its 5.25pm post that the UK PM Sir Keir Starmer has in essence given the Ukraine a security guarantee, in a partnership agreement with France and others.

Lets Get Real:

This is risky move by Starmer, he hopes he has a good relationship with Trump 47, and thus can by friendly persuasion get the US to agree to be a security backstop.  President Putin will not be happy, he was hopping for more concessions from Trump, NOW the coalition of the willing are in the way, one does wonder what the White House will say about this latest development, next couple of days will be interesting.

BBC News: Reports in its 12.32am post that the Democrats on the Hill have been highly critical of President Trump in his meeting with President of the Ukraine and the argument that developed.

Lets Get Real:

The row was embarrassing for both sides, Zelensky did not kiss the ring, and Trump was at his worse, a Russian pawn, Zelensky represents Democracy, while Trump represented Russian interests, the mood music before had been good, there was President Macron on Monday and Starmer on Thursday, its seems that Trump could not get out in front of his ego.  Thus Europe might have to give the Ukraine security guarantees, thus the War goes on.

BBC News: Reports in its 8.14pm post that President Macron stated at a news conference with POTUS, that peace cannot come with the surrender of the Ukraine, as its the third anniversary of the invasion of the Ukraine by Russia.

Lets Get Real.

The US Congress can be expected to keeps Trump's feet close to the fire, there are still Reagan Republicans in the House and Senate, they have hidden so far, they surely will not want the Ukraine to surrender to the Russian Bear, Europe has feed its people on welfare and limited defence spending, that has to change, we are in a war condition, its 1939 all over again

Sky News Reports in its 6.13pm post that President Trump has stated the President Putim would accept European Troops in the Ukraine.

Lets Get Real:

The problem with the Donald is that he says what you want to hear and then goes back on what he said.  Has Putin agreed to Europan Troops and from what Country, and are they secured by American security guarantee, then Europe and Ukraine would breath more easily.  This of course could be a lie by Putin and POTUS, then we are on the road to WW3, and the Ukraine would be Czechoslovakia all over again.

BBC News: Reports in its 4.46pm post that President Trump has been critical of the French and UK leadership when it comes to the Ukraine.

Lets Get Real:

Who does Trump think he is, if the US cuts off military aid to the Ukraine, then EU and UK will have to take its place,  it has happened before, in 1947, the UK could not defend Greece and Turkey against the Comminist threat, and the US took over World Leadership, it might be time for the EU and the UK take over from the US, shame Trump, it took in till 1917 for the US to get in to WW1, 1941 for WW2, while the US is going through its Appeasement phase with Trump, there are the Mid Terms in 2026 and a new Presidential Election in 2028, shame the devil as they say.

The omens do not look for the Ukraine, the EU might be left holding the baby, yesterday Sir Keir Starmer met President Macron and stated they were united on the Ukrainian defence, we shall see how long that lasts, does Europe have the money to replace the $, Trump is determined to appease Putin whatever the cost to the people of the Ukraine.  Thus the result of the 2024, Munich 1938 has a successor!  Easter Europe will be very afraid.
