One likes to think that the SAS are in Country, behind the Russian lies, causing problems for them, the same with the Delta teams and other special forces from the US.  The Polish Foreign Minister must learn that lose talk can sink ships, the Russian TV under the control of MOSOCW, will use this information to rebuild support for the WAR, one was letting the Russian people off the hook for the War, but the lack of protests show that Moscow has control of its people, a well autocracy IF evil.   The Russian people need to overthrow Putin, failure is not an option! IF this blog was a US  or UK citizen it would not be happy, it has been reported there are sixteen thousand US Citizens in Sudan, the US State Department has made it clear that there will be no Cavalry coming to the rescue, the FCO will do nothing.  It seems that POTUS is doing another Afghanistan, that is why POTUS is seen as weak, and why his approval ratings are in the toilet, anything really risky and he is hiding under his desk, to think that JFK and Ronald Reagan had that desk, Biden is following the Obama foreign policy failure route, he thinks that he can leave Americans behind and there is no political comeback.   At least POTUS is supporting the Ukraine in its War with the Russia, the Republicans on the whole are supporting the Trump Isolation policy.  This is how powers fade, just look at the example of the British Empire, we could be leading to the hegemony of China in the 21st Century as long as they do not invade Taiwan.

How in the hell did a 21 year old get access  to top secret information that is seen by Senior Officers and the President, also how did the leaker know that the SAS was in the Ukraine.  This is treason, one hope's that Mr Teixeria has very expensive lawyer he can call.   The Leaker should be placed in a black hole, and feed bread and water when the Guards recall about him.  The leaker has placed the soldiers of the Ukraine in danger, helped the Russians, and made the West suspect the US security of not being safe.   The liberals will shout that he is young and it was attempt to impress his friends on line, that doe not matter, Treason is TREASON. The US Courts should come down HARD on the Traitor. 

UK's SAS vs The Russians - Russian - Ukraine War - The New Cold War 2

Lets Get Real:

One hopes that the SAS ( Special Air Service ) is in the Ukraine, they will be able to teach the Ukrainian Soldiers how to use the heavy military equipment that the UK will be sending to help the Ukraine Army fight the Russians in the East and South Ukraine.  The Ukrainian Army will be need to taught how to create successful sabotage operations on land that is suited for Russian tanks, and how to cause havoc to Russian supplies.   The WAR in the Ukraine is going to last a long time, and now we know that the Russians want to take the whole of the South and East Ukraine.  If the Russians are allowed to do this, it would create a major threat to other NATO States.  The Baltic States have small Russian minorities, the Kremlin will want them back if they can be successful in the Ukraine, and the costs of Defence will hit the roof if NATO has to double its defensive line in the Baltic States and Poland and Germany.  Also if Finland and Sweden to join NATO, the Russians are sure to pull something to equal the score.  The next few weeks will be crucial for Europe and western security.

The West in the shape of the US and the UK must not accept the Taliban as the government in Afghanistan in till they allow all Western citizens to leave, and also allow Afghan allies who have the right to go to the West to leave Afghanistan.  Also that the Taliban allow women, girls to carry on with their education and to be allowed to work.  One hopes that MI6 and the CIA have agents in place to keep an eye on the Taliban, the Western news media will lose interest in Afghanistan as they do not have news teams there, it is to risky for the reporters.  Thus the News media will have to place their trust in local reporters to feed them stories as to what is going in Afghanistan. The answer to the problems in Afghanistan is NOT THE TALIBAN.

This blog was shocked to discover that the UK was still in IRAQ, we left in 2009. The Government should send in the SAS or drones to go after the terrorists who attacked the military base.   The killing of a UK servicewoman needs to be answered with a precise military reaction, if IRAN is behind this we should ask the US to take some kind of military action.   The Soldier was only 26, far too young die.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her parents and friends.

Update Falluja - Update

Lets Get Real:

As noted by this blog and others the Allied attack on Falluja would be costly, the Daesh terrorist group is not going to give up without a fight.   Thus can hope that US and UK Special Forces are on hand to give advice to their Iraqi friends.  The hard part might not be getting in to the City, the hard part might be the IEDs left by Daesh and the humans taken as hostages.   It going to be a bloody slog, hard and violent, the Daesh terrorist group has to be buried.

The Attack on Mosul - Daesh Threat

At least it will be Iraqi and Kurdish forces doing the fighting, the UK training forces will not be at the front, one would assume that the SAS has protection against any chemical attack. The one good luck the West and its allies have is the fact that Daesh has no nuclear material, that would make it a great threat.   Let's hope MI6 and the CIA are blocking Daesh on the military black market, and that the Putin regime has control of its nuclear material.  The fight for Mosul will be bloody and it will take time, the West will need to train the Iraqi Army for years.

Terror in Turkey - Daesh Threat

As long as Daesh has bases in Syria, Iraq and Libya it is a threat to the West and to Western allies, the West under a new US President will have to do something, it can not wait for local forces to do the job, there is chance they are not up to it, the Iraqi Army has been having success of late, that does not mean that Daesh is on the way out, it needs US/UK Special Forces to take out the threat.    This means more boots on the ground, one does not want to think of Daesh with WMD, it would be  nightmare for the West and the Middle East.   Thus the West has to be ready for a ground war that will be bloody.

Once you start with planes to attack Daesh the next level is to bring troops in theatre to take and hold ground give up by Daesh.   It can be assumed that that the SAS is is Country and in supporting the Free Syrian Army with the help of the US Special Forces.   The Western government are speaking double speak, of course we have boots on the ground, you can call what ever you like, they are still UK and US soldiers on the ground.    This blog has already discounted that there are seventy thousand FSA soldiers on the ground waiting to attack Daesh, if there is that number they are fighting Assad, getting a ceasefire between Assad/Russia and the FSA so they could fight Daesh is a nice dream, but still a dream.   Thus in time both the US, UK and France will have to send in combat troops, its not a great thought but its the only one that is real

The UK with or without the consent of the House of Commons should have drones in the air of Syria and Iraq 24/7, the drones should be looking for targets of interest, thus make Daesh afraid to move day or night.   One can assume that the SAS and US Special Forces are in Iraq and Syria, thus the drones are hitting the right targets.   There will be those on the left that wanted to give terrorists their rights, the terrorists do not have rights, the only rights they have is to be bombed or hit by drones strikes and by US/UK forces on the ground.   The left do understand the World after 9/11, thus they can never be allowed to come to power, they offer no defence, and at the end of the day the main job of the Government is to protect the State.

The murky world of Syria has become even more dense with the Russians coming to join the fight, it can be argued that Western Forces and Russian Forces should never be this close, it only takes a hot shot Russian pilot or a missile commander to shoot a missile that hits either Western planes or Western ground troops in Syria, it has already been stated by the US that they are sending special forces in to Syria, one can assume that US forces are already there, that is the same with the SAS.   Thus the UK should keep out of this mess for the near future, its going to get worse in Syria, sooner or later the UK and the US will have to send in ground forces to Syria and Iraq, lets not rush that moment. 

UK Death List - Daesh Terrorists

At leas the UK is on the same page as the US when it comes to drone strikes, the UK has been far to slow to use drones for this kind of clean up operation.   The Daesh Terrorists once they joined Daesh lose ALL their rights, they butchers and the lowest of the low, the left it seems is more concerned about the rights of terrorists than the right of the people of the UK to be defended agaisnt terrorist threats.    The UK and the US needs Special Forces in Syria to take the fight to Daesh, they are a major threat to the region and the World. 

IS Update - New War on Terror

It is time for the US and the UK to send in their special forces, at the end of the day the battle will be won on the ground, the Iraqi Army needed the help of Iran and US airplane attacks to get rid of IS from Tikrit, these two Countries in the case of IS are on the same page, but even then there are lines, Iran will not have US giving air support to its forces as they do not want to share victory with the US, while the US while wanting the Tehran Regime to take on IS does not want it to grow more of its power in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.   The backdrop to the fight in Iraq is the nuclear deal between the US and Iran, either its a good deal or President Obama has not read the fine print, the US Congress will read the fine print and see the secret parts of the deal.   The War with IS will take more than three years, thus the next US President will have to deal with Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen,  other areas that have not blow up yet, there is enough time for more Crisis points before President Obama leaves Office in 2017. 

IS Update - Hostages Threat - New War on Terror

Lets Get Real:

This is the latest outrage by IS, they are demanding two hundred million dollars for two Japanese hostages, the PM has made it clear that no such deal will be made.   The US and the UK special forces should try to find the hostages and get them out, setting a time limit of 72 hours on the demand gives one the impression that the terrorists have watched to much 24, they are building up the tension, placing extra pressure on Tokyo.    There is no dealing with terrorists, the IS have to be destroyed root and branch, the West might not have three years to win this WAR, IS is producing its own currency, its getting its members young and thus creating a next generation terrorist.   Time is short the West has to win this WAR. 

IS in Iraq - Update

This is a good start by the new Iraqi Army and Government, but they should not run before they can walk, after this victory they will go to Mosul, but that means house to house fighting, one doubts the new Army has the ability to win a major city without the US ground forces.   Thus early next year the Baghdad Government might ask for the US to help with ground forces, that is the day the Oval Office has dreaded for months.   Thu Oval can not afford for the Iraqi Army to lose in Mosul, thus they will need to be backed up by US/UK special forces.  That fight will decide how long the new War on Terror goes on in Iraq and Syria.

One wonders why the US and UK have not managed to take down the IS terror websites, the US NSA and our GCHQ in the UK should have the ability to trace these terror sites and cause them to fail.   The release of these horrific videos should be stopped, as they give to much PR to the terror group.    Why can't the West trace were the terrorists upload these videos and send in the air force to take then OUT.   Also US and UK special forces should be on standby to rescue those held by IS, how many more deaths must the West face before IS is taken out.  This is going to be a long war.

IF the US and its allies had enough special forces in Iraq then they could push back IS with the help of Iraqi Forces and the Kurds, but the possibility that IS leader has been killed can not be built on because of the lack of boots on the ground.   If the IS leader has been killed then there will be internal fights with IS as to who becomes the new leader, this would have been an excellent time for the West to take more of Iraq and Syria back, but on the moment strategy of the West does not help when you have this kind of luck and can not push it further, IF the US had troops on the ground in Syria and Iraq it could destroy IS in a few weeks, not in the years as expected.   IF you have lucky run, you push it further, the present strategy does not do that at the moment.

There is NO talking to IS, there can NEVER be any talks, you can not appease these kind of low lifes, its either them or us, so lets take the battle to IS, lets bomb them and use UK/US Special Forces to either capture or kill them, IS down to its roots have to be destroyed.  IF IS is allowed to grow any more you can say goodbye to Syria and Iraq, they will no longer exist, thus back to the same argument, the West needs to place ground troops in Iraq and Syria, to roll back IS and make life safe for the good people of Iraq and Syria.   The more people fall under the influence of IS and the more money they have the harder they will be to destroyed.  Time to hit Syria and Iraq with a fist of steel, but remembering to learn the mistakes of the Iraq War, you need the manpower but also need the support of the local people, make the West their best hope for peace and a good life.  TIME TO ACT. 

Kobane Update - War on Terror 2

Lets Get Real:

The resistance in Kobane needs Western military support, as noted in the linked article there are complaints that Kobane is taking away troops from other areas in Syria.   Thus 24/7 news has been quite on the Kobane front as there is not much  movement, Turkey is still doing nothing, and Western air campaign is helping in the resistance of Kobane, its a mini Stalingrad, but there is no plan for success.  If the Oval wants the Kurds and the FSA to be the ground forces of the West Obama needs to place US/UK Special Forces in Syria to help the rebels over the next few days and weeks as to allow the West to train FSA rebels.   Otherwise the battle of Kobane could last well in to the new year.
