This is not good for the Biden White House, all recent polls have been BAD for POTUS.  The last thing he needs is a row with the Israeli PM and he cannot afford to lose the Ukraine, there must be some way for Biden to arm the Ukraine Army, they are getting low on military kit.   The American voters will not forgive losing Afghanistan to the Talban and Ukraine to Russia.  All the good news on the American economy is not getting through or that voters have decided they have had enough of Joe Biden.  The Biden Oval has to do something big, send troops to the Ukraine, the President under the War Power Act has the authority to send troops to combat for 60 days, before seeing Congressional approval, there is no way the Congress would not fund the boys against the Russians.   Biden has to do something drastic, bomb Iran's nuclear sites or North Korea.  Everyone thinks that Biden is WEAK, it is his own fault, if he wants a 2nd term he must ACT NOW.

This ability of Joe Biden to muck up going on a bike shows that he is not fit to be President, he fell after he had stopped to talk to reporters, this is like the 1st episode of the West Wing when President Jed Bartlet also fell of his bike.  The REAL White House must have their heads in their hands, Joe Biden is no Jed Bartlet, while Biden has many faults, Bartlet lied about his MS in his first Presidential run and let his wife take the blame for hiding his MS.  Thus a lying SOB, while Biden has been worse, he left Afghanistan to the Taliban, and in the process got 13 US Military personnel killed, and left the poor people of Afghanistan to the mercies of the Taliban.  The President then did not prevent Russia invading the Ukraine.  The President is trying to have it two ways, helping the Army of Ukraine with arms and weapons, but not enough, they need heavy weapons, the Russians are making gradual success in East Ukraine, the Biden Oval cannot afford to lose Ukraine, it cannot allow Russia to tear the Country apart by taking South East Ukraine.  As the British PM stated, Putin must be lose in the Ukraine and be seen to lose.  Even the EU has decide to give Ukraine CANDIDATE membership of the EU, they are in the waiting room, the EU wants internal Ukraine reforms before it becomes a member.  Biden has the MID TERM in November, if the Republicans take the House and Senate, the Biden Oval should expect a LOT OF PAIN, investigations right up the backside of the Biden Oval.  The Republicans will start with the President's son, Hunter, that should be interesting for President Biden.  If Biden stated he was not running in 2024, the Republicans might let him off the hook when it comes to Hunter, if he really decides to run, expect Fox News to have 24 hours coverage of the House as it investigates the Biden Oval, over Hunter, Afghanistan and the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.  President Bartlet got a 2nd term, ( the 2nd term was an aborted 3 year run, in whole 7 years of the series ), one really has doubt that Biden will run again. The only exception is if Trump decides to run again, Biden might like his chances, the problem is he will have to run on record, and he cannot hide in his bunker like in 2020.

The West in the shape of the US and the UK must not accept the Taliban as the government in Afghanistan in till they allow all Western citizens to leave, and also allow Afghan allies who have the right to go to the West to leave Afghanistan.  Also that the Taliban allow women, girls to carry on with their education and to be allowed to work.  One hopes that MI6 and the CIA have agents in place to keep an eye on the Taliban, the Western news media will lose interest in Afghanistan as they do not have news teams there, it is to risky for the reporters.  Thus the News media will have to place their trust in local reporters to feed them stories as to what is going in Afghanistan. One hopes rather than thinks that MI6 and the CIA have agents on the ground in the Panjshir Valley to make sure that the resistance to the Taliban put up a fight and keep them with enough weapons and ammunition to keep going in till the winter.  In the winter the waring factions do not fight, its a hard winter in the Mountains of Afghanistan.  One can postulate that the CIA has request that they be allowed to support the Resistance, of course that depends of President Biden, with his action over the few weeks, one is NOT HOPEFULL, Biden does not understand national security and never will.  Anything that keeps the Taliban on edge is good, the West could increase support to the level that keeps the Taliban on their word when it comes to not supporting terrorists such as Al Qaeda or Daesh or the spin off ISIS-K.  As to the civil rights of women, this blog does not hold out much hope, the TALIBAN are EVIL, and their word cannot be trusted, they have already killed a folk singer and are doing house to house searches in search of those the worked with the Western Allies,  they have closed down music stations and broken up musical instruments, they have not changed.

The US/UK control if the new Taliban terror regime gets any of the former Afghan's governments assets that have been frozen since KABUL fell to the Taliban. The West wants the Taliban to allow US/UK and Western passport holders to fly from the Kabul Airport, but they also want Afghan Allies of the West to be allowed to leave.  If the Taliban were really stupid they could take American hostages, if your old enough you remember the Iran hostage crisis, from 1979 to 1981, in that event the Islamic Students under the ORDERS of the new hard line Islamic regime in Tehran, IRAN took 52 US diplomatic hostages, and that lasted in till 1981and the Inauguration of Ronald Reagan, in those years the Carter Administration did a deal to un - freeze the Assets of the previous regime as the part of the deal for the return of their hostages.  The hostage crisis lead to the defeat of Jimmy Carter in 1980.  Even terrorists one thinks would work out that would be a BIG MISTAKE, Biden would be forced to take action against them, even invade again!! One can see a back room deal, the Taliban allow Western passport holders and Afghan Allies to leave and in return they get the assets of the former regime.  Of course thus does not even cover the civil rights of girls and women to go to school and to work, will that also be a condition of any un - freezing of assets, so far the Biden Administration has not shown enough that it cares, Biden wants to move to the domestic front and the Mid Terms in 2022 and then the general election in 2024.  The Biden OVAL must hope that the American voter will not care about Afghanistan after a few years and the domestic Spending by the Biden and the Democratic Congress will get them over the line when it comes to votes.

It is important that the Allies keep their word and get Afghan Allies out of Afghanistan.  Thus one assumes the US and the UK have had discreet talks with the Taliban, the agenda would be simple, allow US/UK Citizens to leave and also allow Afghan Allies of the US/UK to leave, and any one who wants to leave the Afghanistan controlled by the Taliban.  What can the WEST offer to the TALIBAN, the frozen assets of the previous Afghan Government and humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan.  If the Taliban Terror group does not do as asked, they get NOTHING, I mean NOTHING.  One can see if a terrorist group can form a stable government and allow for the Western demands, also that girls and women be allowed to have civil rights, that will be harder, as with most things there are factions, the hard core Taliban supporters will want strict Islamic law, thus banning of women outside the home, it will be interesting to see if the Taliban 2.0 comes out on top or Taliban 1.0 shows it face, a bunch of religious terrorists who do not deserve to breath.

POTUS thinks that the TALIBAN will allow Americans to leave Afghanistan after the 31st, how out of it do you have to be, the TALIBAN read history, they would know that  they have to just keep a few hostages, let's say 52 to make the 24/7 news cycle every day.   The Taliban might have the same interest as Biden in the Americans and their allies getting out, but with the threat form ISIS-K they might have to show their true face, thus they will not care about financial pressure from the West, most of the foot terrorists can not even read.  Also there are different sections of the Taliban, those that have been having talks with the US might have gotten used to nice hotels and being in meeting with the West and the UN.  While the foot terrorists might want to take Afghanistan back to the stone age, thus a thousand US hostages might look good.  They will KNOW that Biden will never send in the military back in to Afghanistan, also Afghanistan is a big place to hide hostages, the Taliban might demand the unlocking of frozen Afghanistan assets a price to release some of the hostages, this could go on for years, just ask Jimmy Carter about Iran.  Also if Biden is to quote the bible, I will watch TV's West Wing, that President does it better and with more conviction.  Also Biden was very low energy, can he really handle a crisis.  At the least the UK will be out in a few days, our soldiers have to be on guard.  Our thoughts are with the families of those 12 US servicemen who were killed by the ISIS-K terrorist and those innocent Afghans killed or injured by the terrorist attack.

If ISIS-K is a threat then the UK has to get our forces out and quick, we have done a great job with the US on getting tens of thousands of Afghans out, of course the question is, how many British and US Citizens are still in Afghanistan and how come the Allies have not got them out.  Also how many of our Afghan Allies have been stuck at the gates and can not get in, how many are outside of Kabul and are in hiding.  After the Allies leave the real face of the Taliban will show, it is Talban 2.0 or the real Taliban, a bunch of religious zealots who defame Islam. One hopes the press will keep an eye on the Afghanistan after the Taliban are in full control.  Thus its time to cut and run, it has started with POTUS, but the UK can not lose a soldier in combat due to the crazy plan of  President Biden.

The Taliban started to show their true colours with the whipping of the people and shooting over their heads, there are reports of them going door to door in search of those that helped the West.  Women have banned from work, and those well known women have either gone in to hiding or have managed to leave Afghanistan.  The blocking of Afghan elite leaving Afghanistan shows the true colours of the Taliban.  Once the West has LEFT, the shootings will really start, stoning of women, the ban on Western culture, TV allowed only under Taliban control.  This is a shameful day for Joe Biden and Boris Johnson, the West will have to be wary of a Biden promise, he does not care about the security of others.

IF this happens it will be a national disgrace for the US and the UK, we gave our word to our Afghan Allies and we have thrown them to the wolves, without much of backward glance. If the word of the US and the UK is to mean anything, then the US and the UK have to get their citizens out and also our Afghan allies, as stated in this blog, if your in Taiwan you must think about going nuclear, will the US come to your defence if China starts to play games, the same question must be asked in South Korea, even the Baltic States in NATO must be wondering if Putin's Russia should try to do a Crimea, will the US support its ally or hide under the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.   At the virtual G7 tomorrow the allies have to shame Biden to stay, even if than means taking on the Taliban, if Biden cuts and run, the UK should lead a a force to deal with the Taliban.
