This is what happens when you only use bombing, Trump should have taken Kharg Island and close Iran's tap for oil at the start! It is not to late, to use ground troops and finish this WAR.  The use of ground troops is the one thing that would frighten the theocracy in Tehran.   Trump has lost all Presidential Credibility when it comes to the WORLD, no one is afraid of Trump anymore, he is loser, up there with Richard Nixon and LBJ, at least these two Presidents had major achievements, Nixon with China and better relationship with then then USSR and LBJ with the Great Society, Civil Rights and voting rights act o 1965. This blog does not trust China whatever they say to POTUS.  China view policy over decades, not the 24 hour news cycle.  They are not a democracy, they are Communist controlled, they control everything going on in China, they cannot be trusted.  Proof is in the budding, what China actually does that counts.

This State Visit by President Trump will be described by him as a successful if China really means that it won't help Tehran with military equipment, and will be helpful over the Strait of Hormuz blockade.  POTUS is not a detailed man, let's see what China actually does!

It seems this blog was wrong last night, Wes Streeting is running for the Labour Leadership, well his Allies have told the press.  Thus one can expect Angela Rayner to run as Andy Burnham is not an MP.  Will PM Starmer run, he could lose to either candidate.  One gets the impression the PM is very stubborn and a process man, he is a lawyer after all.

Tehran has played Trump along, they know he wants to end the War before the China trip and the Mid Terms.  Trump has to get Iran's nuclear stockpile and open the Strait of Hormuz or the War will be seen as a failure and a strategic win for Iran.  The Trump's Oval rhetoric, has locked Trump in, he either grants concessions to Iran or restarts the WAR.

Thus Tehran was playing the Trump Oval, have they overplayed their hand with Trump.   One has to ask if the bombing will restart, or will the Blockade be given more time.  One can presume that oil prices will go up, thus gas prices will go up in the US before the Mid Terms.  POTUS will not be happy, the War going will be the background to his visit to China.  Thus his Presidential Credibility is in threads.

The Tehran Government has taken its time, or they are playing the Americans.  Tehran knows that Trump wants the WAR finished before his visit to China.  Thus they will want concessions for opening the Strait of Hormuz and their nuclear stockpile.  Thus we await news from the White House.

This will make China happy as long as their tankers can get through the blockade at some point.  Trump's view of World Politics is the strong powers agree on a issue and the rest of the World follow suit, that has not worked out in the Ukraine, that is why President Trump is peeved with Zelensky of the Ukraine, as he infamously said that the Ukraine has no cards in its war.  In many respects Trump is from the Imperial Era, the age of Gunboat Diplomacy, were might is right.

This is the end of the era for treaties to control the nuclear arms of both Russia and the US.  As the article notes Trump wants a new Treaty that includes China, no chance, Russia wants to include the UK and France, no way that will happen, France is only a player on the World Stage because it has Nukes, the UK on the whole is a dependable ally of the US on the ground, of late Afghanistan and Iraq.  The Treaty that outlawed different kinds of Nukes, was the INF Treaty signed by Reagan and Gorbachev, that was allowed to expire, thus Europe would be a battle front should WW3 break out.  The Old order is gone, Nukes were meant to prevent Mutual Assured Destruction in Europe, the Trump Era has destroyed that, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine has shown that Nukes do not prevent Wars, Ukraine gave up its Nukes, after security guarantees from the US and Russia, the assurances were not worth the paper they were written on.   The Coalition of willing and the US are willing to give security guarantees to the Ukraine, and troops on the ground, the Russians object, we are back to pre WW2 days, Russia is Germany and the Ukraine is brave Poland.  The result is still unknown.

The new Axis of Evil that meet in China on the anniversary of the end of the WAR is Asia in 1945, it shows that the West is faced with Russia, China and North Korea as the counter to Western Democracy.  Trump has to get his head out of his backside and do something about Russia, they will not give up in till the US puts more weapons and men if needed on the front line in the Ukraine.  The Russians see Trump as a lap dog to Putin, the only way out for Putin is to win in the Ukraine, anything else and he faces a coup in Russia.  Thus Russians will only come to the peace table on their terms, a Ukraine that in many respects sees it back within the Russian fold, thus to prevent WW3, Europe must give security guarantees  to Ukraine, and in some way the US must face pressure to do the same.

The West has to help the Kyiv out, as the article notes the Chinese have big factories thst are producing the latest Drones, while Ukraine is almost like Blue Peter in its development, they need the West to produce better Drones that can match the Russians and its Chinese and Iranian Allies.  The cost is less than losing the War.

Trump has stated his worthless threat to see what happens in the next two weeks.   The Kremlin will play Trump for a fool, play along and win on the ground in the Ukraine.  PUTIN can out last Trump and his successor, Putin is a tyrant and killer, he wants the whole of the Ukraine.  CHINA wants Taiwan, also a tyranny, and Trump considers them friends.

If Trump appeases Putin then his 2nd term will have been a MAJOR FAILURE, the same can be said of the Iran talks on Saturday.  2nd Term Presidents spend their time on Foreign Policy, they have more freedom to deal, after IRAN - CONTRA, Reagan bought the Cold War to an end and signed the INF Treaty, that the Russians cheated on.   Trump should look at Reagan for an example of a 2nd term rebound.

POTUS blinked, the stock Markets were tanking, the richest man on Earth and a close advisor was opposed, its shows Presidents can be stopped.   ONE hopes that Trump has learned his lesson, don't be a bear in a China shop.  This is why Presidents in 2nd terms spend their time on Foreign Policy, greater bang for the buck.  At least the stock markets have surged.

The Chinese government will be embarrassed by this development, on top of the Tariffs from the US.  How will Beijing explain away this development, easy in China, they won't tell the people.  On the World Stage it is a different matter, Beijing will have to explain itself to Kyiv and to the US, one is surprised that China has placed troops in the Ukraine, interesting development.

Trump has pulled the trigger, what will China do, have the same Tariffs on US goods, a tariff War looks likely, are we heading for recession or depression, these kind of economic wars help no one, will China keep its powder dry and hope common sense comes to the White House.  One has to ask has Trump47 gone bonkers, who can stop him, the Congress is in Republican hands, the Courts take time, the clock ticks to 12am.

This could be the tariff that breaks Trump, China can wait out Trump, and they are communist, so no democracy to threaten them.   The threat by POTUS to add a further 50% is a mistake, China is a proud nation and face is important to them, also they have eyes on the Democratic Taiwan, they will not want the World to see that China can be bullied and humiliated over Tariffs.  POTUS should recall that COVID came form China, after either a leak from a lab or an intentional leak by China, the debate on that still goes on.  China can hit back if it wants, human life is not held high by the Communist Government of China.
