US Supreme Court strikes down Trump's Tariffs - Update

 

Sky News: Reports in its 3.03pm post that " the court has now struck down the tariffs, meaning the administration could face huge financial consequences. "

Lets Get Real:

POTUS will hit the roof, he has used tariffs as a gun, forcing Countries in to DEALS, and he will have to pay back billions, a lot of billions.  This will hit hard before the Mid Terms in November, the Democrats and the liberal press will stuff this down the Oval's throat.  This could have consequences, Trump will feel this decision by the Court and will try to work around it, this shows that the American system does work, Congress might not keep Trump in line, but the Courts do at the end of the day ACT.  POTUS might need to feel to show that he is still strong, by attacking Iran, before the Democrats take charge o the Congress and use the WAR POWERS ACT of 1973 against him, in that ACT a President can act for six weeks but then requires Congressional approval, a split Congress, the HOUSE in the hands of the Democrats and the Republicans in charge of the Senate, might complex the case for WAR. Events, boy Events can hinder any political leader when he least expects it.   What will Trump do to show he still in control.

Trump " No Comment " on taking Greenland by Force - Update

Lets Get Real:

This will not go down well in Europe, Sky News does report in its 4.50pm post that Trump has admitted he might have gotten faulty information on why Europe was sending troops to Greenland.  POTUS if he has not gone mad should take this and back peddle back, he does not want to start a TRAD WAR with Europe, he might lose, let's recall there are the Mid Terms in a few months time, Trump cannot afford this kind of mess and there is the Ukraine to deal with first, it has not been in the news for the last few days, but the Russians are still droning Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine.

Sky News: Reports that President Trump wants a permanent  ceasefire in the Ukraine, not the temporary one offered by Putin.

Lets Get Real:

Putin might no longer understand the game, Trump wants something to celebrate on his 100th day in Office, so far not a great success, the tariff ploy has been a disaster so far, trillions wiped off in the stock Markets around the World, and Trump is seen as a pawn of Putin when it comes to the Ukraine War, his polls are in the toilet according to a new CNN and NBC Polls.   The Trump Oval needs a clear victory from somewhere!

Sky News: Reports that analysis suggests that President Putin is going for a WIN in the Ukraine.

Lets Get Real:

If Trump appeases Putin then his 2nd term will have been a MAJOR FAILURE, the same can be said of the Iran talks on Saturday.  2nd Term Presidents spend their time on Foreign Policy, they have more freedom to deal, after IRAN - CONTRA, Reagan bought the Cold War to an end and signed the INF Treaty, that the Russians cheated on.   Trump should look at Reagan for an example of a 2nd term rebound.

BBC News: Reports that President Trump has paused his high Tariffs, with the exception of China, that is now at 125%, and set it at 10% for others.

Lets Get Real:

POTUS blinked, the stock Markets were tanking, the richest man on Earth and a close advisor was opposed, its shows Presidents can be stopped.   ONE hopes that Trump has learned his lesson, don't be a bear in a China shop.  This is why Presidents in 2nd terms spend their time on Foreign Policy, greater bang for the buck.  At least the stock markets have surged.

Lets Get Real:

The Chinese government will be embarrassed by this development, on top of the Tariffs from the US.  How will Beijing explain away this development, easy in China, they won't tell the people.  On the World Stage it is a different matter, Beijing will have to explain itself to Kyiv and to the US, one is surprised that China has placed troops in the Ukraine, interesting development.

BBC News: Reports in its 6.31pm post that the White House has conformed Tariffs of 104% on Chinese goods.

Lets Get Real:

Trump has pulled the trigger, what will China do, have the same Tariffs on US goods, a tariff War looks likely, are we heading for recession or depression, these kind of economic wars help no one, will China keep its powder dry and hope common sense comes to the White House.  One has to ask has Trump47 gone bonkers, who can stop him, the Congress is in Republican hands, the Courts take time, the clock ticks to 12am.

 BBC News: Reports in its 4.33pm post the following, " Trump threatens China with further tariffs....The additional tariffs on Beijing would be of 50%, Trump says."

Lets Get Real:

This could be the tariff that breaks Trump, China can wait out Trump, and they are communist, so no democracy to threaten them.   The threat by POTUS to add a further 50% is a mistake, China is a proud nation and face is important to them, also they have eyes on the Democratic Taiwan, they will not want the World to see that China can be bullied and humiliated over Tariffs.  POTUS should recall that COVID came form China, after either a leak from a lab or an intentional leak by China, the debate on that still goes on.  China can hit back if it wants, human life is not held high by the Communist Government of China.

 Sky News Reports that the FTSE 100 had its biggest fall in 5 years, due to the Trump Tariffs and World wide negative reaction.

MARKETS do not like these kind of taxes, it unerves them, thus the major sell off around the World.   POTUS is taking a risk, either he will be proven brilliant or a major fool.  The Republicans on the Hill are keeping their powder dry, Trump still has his base, that frightens Congressional Republicans.  Let's give it a few days, will the markets return, will the prices of groceries go up, and of course eggs.  Developing...

Trumps Ultimatum to Putin over the Ukraine - Trump47

Sky News: Reports on President Trump's ultimatum to Russia, end the Ukraine War or  face High Tariffs or sanctions.

Lets Get Real:

This is a change, for the past couple years people have thought that Trump, was a pawn of Putin, now back as President, he takes this tough stand, its like a personality  change, or is it just faint, in other words he gives the impression of being tough, then appases Putin.  This will be interesting to follow, life does bring surprises, what is Trump 47 really up too.
