Lets Get Real:

President Obama is great at rhetoric, and has charisma to spare, but it was a mistake to say such remarks with President Trump on a State Visit to the UK, if nothing else it will annoy Trump, who has a very thin skin to insults from Democrats, and from Obama specifically.  Lets recall that the American people had a choice of a third Obama term in 2016 with Hillary Clinton, and they elected Trump45, Obama  left OFFICE with a 58% approval raring in a Gallup poll, well behind Reagan on 63% and Clinton on 66%.  Also Reagan saw his VP became President, Bush41, no two term President following has had that success.  BIDEN was thrown out by his own Party.

How Trump47 is no Ronald Reagan - Trump47

CNN: Reports how Ronald Reagan was tough on the USSR, how this appalled the left in UK on his State Visit and how weak Trump47 via Putin on his State Visit to the UK.

Lets Get Real:

Ronald Reagan was a great President, he was tough on the USSR because he saw it as an EVIL EMPIRE that had to be removed and thrown on ash heap of history, within a year of Reagan leaving office, the Berlin Wall came down, and in 1991 the USSR dissolved itself.  TRUMP is helping Putin, and this could lead to WW3 due to the WAR in the Ukraine.   Evil has to be thwarted, and Trump is not up to the job, a modern day Neville Chamberlain in the Oval Office.

The VP is looking for someone to blame, she has such a short period to get her campaign ready and she also complains that the White House did not see her as part of the team, she suggests that her success would have been a success for the President.  One can not think that Bush 41, the most loyal Vice - Presidents in history making such remarks.  It could be that former VP Harris is thinking about 2028, she would be able to say that she did not get a fair crack of the whip due to the late drop out of Biden after the debate.   At the end of the day its down to the President should he run again, Nancy Reagan did not want Ronald Reagan to run for 2nd term, but Gipper wated it and it was successful with the exception of Iran - Contra, the Cold War came to end in Iceland, almost all nuclear weapons were nearly banned, Reagan was more of a dove than people give him credit for.  Within a year of Reagan leaving Office, the Berlin Wall came down and then the dissolution of the USSR in 1991, under Reagan's chosen successor, Bush 41.

The IDF has no choice, it has to go in to Rafah, the Hamas leadership is there, it has to be taken out, if you cannot destroy the ideology of Hamas you can destroy its physical form and leadership.  Iran has shown that it is willing to see its pawns destroyed without helping, what do you expect from terrorist cowards who abuse their own women who want freedom.  The crying heart liberals complain about the deaths, well Hamas started it on October 7th, with its attack on Israel, killing and raping as they attacked. POTUS should stop reading X or Twitter, that is not the real world, if Biden wants to get re-elected he will calm down the anti Israeli rhetoric, the last time Israel stopped a military operation was when ISRAEL invaded Lebanon, President Reagan put the phone down on the Israeli PM at the time, that got the message through, the IDF stopped its bombing at the time, but then Biden is NO Reagan.

Call this blog cynical, we shall see if the terrorists keep to the pause, after they have gotten their people back, they know that each hostage will be worth more, and thus will want more.  Talking to terrorist groups or States never ends well, just ask Jimmy Carter, after American hostages were kept for 444 days, and only released after Ronald Reagan become President.  President Reagan had Iran - Contra, he got through it, but his polls were hit for a while.  It should be Western policy NEVER to talk to terrorists, they will ask for something you cannot give.  It's an open invitation  to take Western hostages and exchange them for something, with Reagan it was arms, the funds for them went to help the Contra freedom fighters, thus Iran - Contra.  Let's see how long the truce lasts and who starts firing first.

Lets Get Real:

The simple question I ask, do you see Presidents Kennedy or Reagan going on a picket line, lets recall that Reagan was ONLY President to have been President of his Union,  the screens actors guild.  As above shows Reagan actually fired 11,345 air traffic controllers when the went on strike, Reagan was a tough President but fair, he gave them notice of that fact and the day they had to return.  This got the notice of the USSR, they saw that Reagan was a tough President, he was not weak like Jimmy Carter.  The American voter likes to see some regal image of the Presidency, walking the picket line is not regal, makes you like a politician desperate for votes, and Biden could find himself needing the workers in these  State to give enough electoral voters in 2024.  Well if it a choice between  Biden or Trump, it will have to be Biden, as long as he supports the Ukraine, and does not go gaga on the job.

What are the Russians playing at, it might be an attempt to show to the Russian people that they tried for TALKS before the erase Ukraine from the MAP.  The Ukraine Delegation should be MAKRE FIRM DEMANDS, a ceasefire, the Russians return home, that there be REAL HIGH LEVEL talks between the Kiev Government and Moscow.  The Kiev Government is trying to show that it has tried even in a WAR to have talk, that should make the West feel guilty for not placing sanction on the gas and oil from Russia.  This blog has argued that the Kiev Government has to make up its mind, how much of there cities and lives are they willing to lose, it would be better to go full insurgency, getting support from the Wes, in this case the US and UK, make the Russians fight the Ukraine WAR, in the woods and mountains.  The lessons of Vietnam and Afghanistan show that insurgency can work, it just takes time and the patience to wait out the enemy.

Lets Get Real:

Since Afghanistan the WORLD has questioned the leadership of the US and specially in the case of President Biden, this is the time for BIDEN to show why POTUS is seen as the LEADER of THE FREE WORLD.  The US has to show that it can match Putin's Russia and if need be outspend it, as Reagan did the USSR in the Cold War.   The US has the power to bring the Russian economy to it knees, it should place the hardest sanctions on Russia, MAKE Russian the ultimate rogue nation, make it clear that Putin will no longer get diplomatic visits, no more talking no more treating the Russians as a equal power. Putin is the new Hitler, he has followed Hitler's case study, it started with Georgia in 2008, then Crimea in 2014 and now the Ukraine in 2022.  The West has to be seen to clobber Putin and his regime.  Thus Biden has to find his inner Reagan otherwise he will be seen as another Jimmy Carter Mark 2.
