Thus Brexit is finally done, no goods going from the Great Britain to Northern Ireland will be checked, finally after years of argument and political standstill in Northern Ireland they will have their own Government, there will be a nationalist First Minister and a Unionist Deputy First Minister, they have equal power, if the people of Northern Ireland want to be part of the Republic, they can vote for it, its called Democracy.  To think over the number of UK PM's we have gone through since 2016, we shall have a new one when Sir Keir Starmer wins the next general election in the UK, this year or early 2025.

Lets Get Real:

It seems that Monday will be Brexit DAY all over again, Conservative MPs have  been given a three line whip to turn up Monday, its is expected that the PM will announce a NEW NORTHERN IRELAND PROTOCOL DEAL.  The framework from leaks is that there will be a green lane for goods only going to the province and RED lane  for those going to the Republic. The European Court will have a limited role, any legal problems will go through the UK Courts first and then the ECJ.   The final verdict on the new DEAL will be the DUP and the ERG, it could decide how long Sunak has in No 10.  The DEAL looks acceptable to this blogger, but the devil is in the details, so Monday should be the BIG DAY, we await with some cynicism, EU has bought down 3 PM's, could Sunak be the fourth.

Brexit Update - After Brexit/After Boris

Brexit was meant to be a done deal by this Tuesday, then Boris Johnson threw a wrench in!! Over the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill.

Daily Mail ( on line ) reports that Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary has warned the PM about selling out to the EU.

Let's Get Real:

PM Sunak can not afford to lose his backbench MP's and have Cabinet resignations.  That would be the end of him, as happened to PM's May, Johnson, Truss, therefore the PM must come back with a clear win from EU talks, the DUP must be squared, thus keep his own MP's happy.

The PM has less than two years to the next election, Labour have a 18 point lead in the polls, thus the PM needs tax cuts and a UNITED Conservative Party, that means getting his BREXIT MP's on the same page as him.   There is still time for Sunak to prevent another 1997 type loss, the ICEBERG is the EU and the Northern Ireland Protocol. A week is a long time in politics!!!

Thus we have the allegation that it was the Chancellor pusing for a Swiss - style relationship with the EU, the TREASURY agenda is to get us back in to the EU, they were firmly in the REMAIN CAMP with their scare stories in the 2016 vote, and they are using the after effects of COVID - 19 and the WAR IN THE UKRAINE as a diversion to get us back in to the EU.  UK recent political history is full of rows between the No 10 and No 11.  The PM if he wants to keep the loyalty of the right of the Conservative Party needs to have a word with his Chancellor, the PM can't sack him, it would make the UK look MAD as  HATTER to have gone through a few Chancellors in the last few months, 3 at the last count if I recall, when Sunak resigned, he was replaced by PM Boris, after Liz Truss was elected she had a new Chancellor, and finally Sunak has placed Jeremy Hunt at No 11.  If there are rows between both me, it should be done behind close doors, otherwise the media will run with the story that the Government is falling apart.  Sunak is not my favourite PM, he backstabbed Boris, but he should be given a chance, if nothing else the economy needs stability.  Thus UK population has a HARD WINTER coming, in economic terms, thus they should expect stability in Government or the Conservatives might as well hand power to Sir Keir Starmer.

This is more important than ever, the Russians want to escalate the War, thus the stories pushed out by the Russia that the Ukraine is trying to a do a false flag operation by the explosion of a dirty bomb in the Ukraine.  The West has warned Kremlin about such a move on there part.  Also there is the worry that in the US Mid Terms the Republicans will take the Congress, or at least one Chamber, and thus try to reduce US support for the Ukraine, the Republican Party is still under the influence of Donald Trump the former President, if that happens, Europe might be called up to give more money to the Ukraine Government.  The Russians have to be STOPPED in the Ukraine, this is the right move by the new PM. World War 3 has to prevented, this is Europe's 1938 moment again.

The sending back to the Home Office of Suella Braverman will please the right wing of the Party, it shows that the Sunak Government will be tough when it comes to migration.  It reported that few days before she was forced to resign from the Truss Government she had a 90 minute row with the then PM over migration.  Braverman wants to send those that come to the UK in a illegal manner to Rwanda , the left, well BBC News, Guardian, Channel 4 News hate this policy, they will be keeping a close eye on the new Home Secretary, they will be after her to make another mistake.  It should be noted that Sunak voted to leave the EU, and promised during his campaign against PM Truss to get EU laws of the UK books.  It should be noted that the European Research Group, the right wing of the Party will be keeping the expensive shoes of the PM to the fire over the Northern Ireland Protocol, also the DUP.  The watch word for the new Sunak Government is Unity, thus a lot of former Ministers are going back to their former Departments. Let's judge the Sunak Government by its actions.

The Russians are trying to see how much the West will take before it DOES ACT, the Russian Plane and its missile was a THREAT and should have been taken down.  The Russians could be testing the Western reaction should it release a low level nuke in the Black Sea, they want to see how far the West will appease them, they have seen that the UK did not react when a missile was released, they might be thinking that they can take  a risk of releasing a nuclear missile from a Plane and the West will do NOTHING.  Nothing is a mistake when it comes to Russians, everything comes from the Kremlin.  The West should be on guard, there will be more risks taken by Putin's Russia.

The above is TRUE, will shake those that wanted to get rid of Liz Truss and though Sunak would take over, former PM Boris has the electoral mandate from his victory in 2019, and the Conservative members love him.  If the Conservative MPs try a force Sunak down the throat of the members, they could find they do not have people to knock on doors during elections, or fill in envelopes with election material when there is a general election.  The return of Boris would be the greatest comeback since Christ, ( that is Jesus Christ to the heathen ). This latest from 10 Downing Street would support this blog's view that something going to happen in the Ukraine, could Putin be getting the people ready for a low level nuclear strike on Ukraine Forces in the region.  One doubts that the Ukraine Forces have a hazmat suits on hand.  The dropping of a nuke would escalate the WAR, if the dots do add up one can expect some warning from the US and NATO Allies for the Kremlin to back off.  The Kremlin might give the Ukraine Forces 24 hours to get out of dodge or face the results.  One really hopes that this blog is wrong, something is brewing, it could be that the Russians just want to get their people out before the forces of the Ukraine take Kherson, that would be a major defeat for Putin and Russia.

The Russians have made constant threats to use a nuke in the Ukraine, the nuclear train has left its Depo and is moving it has been alleged to the Ukraine border.  The fact that the Russian civic structure are leaving the region and are calling on the people to leave could lead to Putin using a nuke in the Kherson, even Putin would not use the BOMB on his own people.  One does hope that the CIA, NSA in the US and MI6 and GCHQ in the UK have their eyes and ears open.  The West does not want to find out on the 24/7 news that Putin has dropped a tactical nuclear bomb on the Kherson region.  The use of low level yield nuclear bomb should change how the West sees the WAR in the Ukraine, one would expect that NATO would go in to the Ukraine, they have trained troops to deal with a area that full of radiation.  One can only hope one is WRONG on this, very wrong in fact.

The PM is going to the right in the hope they will be more afraid of a REMAINER getting to be the new PM, let's recall the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill is still going through the Lords and also there are signs that Government might get a new deal with the EU after even the Irish said that the Protocol was to hard.  The question is what is more important to the right wing of the Conservative Party, Brexit or getting re-elected next time.  It's time for the PM to start taking teas with the backbench MPs, it has to be done.  The PM should argue that if the Conservative Party get rid of her, the Country will move like it did in 1992 and that lead to the Tony Blair Era and the Conservatives OUT OF POWER for 13 years.  It's time to be extra nice to MPs, appeal for their support based on the fear what Labour would do in power with SNP support, it's time to be put the Country first, and support the leader. 

New Chancellor DITCHES Truss Budget - Liz Truss Era/After Boris

The Conservative Party is toast, this is like 1992 all over again, when Sir John Major's Government lost its economic control, then came 1997 and the placing of Tony Blair in 10 Downing Street.  The sorry excuse for a Government has two years before the next election, one can expect that Truss will be replaced, it will look like a farce, the Conservatives need a few years in Opposition, that will get rid of former Ministers and those who just like to rebel.  The new leader after 2024 needs to get a new Chief Whip in, someone who really scares MP's and gets them under control and understand they are not there because of their name or charisma, or lack of charisma, they are there because they have the Conservative symbol by their name.  The Conservatives in Opposition have to work out what they are for and against when it comes to the economy and stick to their agenda.  They also need to scrap the 1922 Committee, it has became far to powerful, it needs a new makeover, also the new Committee has to make sure its rules cannot be changed, ALL Governments in power for years start to lose support, you will always have MPs who are scared, they have to re - learn they are cannon fodder for voting, the top leads while the MPs follow orders. 

1p Cut in basic income tax, delayed in till 2023 - Liz Truss Era

The RIGHT of the Conservative Party will not be happy, they have lost the 45p abolition and now they will have to wait a YEAR for the basic rate of tax to go down to 19p.   The only main part left in the mini budget in the gas cap for two years, that has to be kept or the Conservative Party is TOAST.   As noted in the Guardian, this was the policy of the former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who ran against Truss in the Conservative Leadership contest, at this rate the Conservative MPs should make Sunak the next PM, what is the point of Truss, her Command of her MPs was never there, and now it is gone totally.  The question do the Conservatives DARE throw out another PM, they will look like fools after May, Johnson, Truss, the Conservatives are not thinking, they have allowed the MONEY MARKETS to scare them, have they not noticed the WAR in the Ukraine, we could be heading into WW3, and Conservative MPs play childish games!

The UK has had four Chancellors in 1 year, the Mini Budget has been ripped up and Conservative Budget will be replaced by a orthodox Treasury Budget.  One hopes that the Gas cap will be kept for two years, and the basic rate of income tax will be kept at 19p in the pound and not the 20p before the Budget.  This Blog would not be shocked if WELFARE was CUT, the Johnson Administration promised that welfare would keep up with inflation, that might not happen, as we have inflation heading for 11%.  The NHS and Defence could take hits, this would backtrack on the PM's promise to increase defence spending by 3%.  Also other Departments can expect their budgets either to be CUT or no increase in their Budget for this year.  One can say that the Labour Party will keep calling for a General Election, in less some Conservative MPs have gone mad they will not vote for that, given the past few days, some might have lost the plot.  As to the future of the PM, one can say that in less she gets her ACT together, she will not be PM in a few months time, since her succession she has been a disaster in the job, even the King was depressed to she her.

The Ukrainian push could be placing pressure on Russian Forces, Kherson was one of the first cities the Russians took after their invasion in February.   The lack of manpower in Russia is shown by the partial call up, and the anger it has set lose, it has been estimated that three hundred thousand mostly men have left the Country rather than be sent to the Ukraine to fight and die.  Also it has been reported that the Russians are low on ammunition and other military kit.  The Kremlin has even taken drones from Iran, that must be a come down for Putin.  Of course there could be other reasons, as stated in my nuclear dots post, if the Kremlin wants to use a tactical nuke, it would be better to get its troops and people out, the Kremlin dos not want to kill its own Forces and supporters.  The escalation by Russia is down to the hawks in the Kremlin, who want Putin to go further, they are calling for a tactical nuclear attack, Putin has been warned of the Western reaction, let's hope he has taken notice.

The dream might have died, a real Conservative Budget could be binned, the City, has decided that the sums do not add up, thus the price of Government bonds are going up, why we trust the City after the near economic collapse during PM Gordon Brown's time in office, is any ones guess.  The World is suffering from post COVID - 19 lockdown, but more important is the WAR in the Ukraine, the Western sanctions on Russia and on its GAS means that the price of OIL and GAS is going up, inflation in the US is now at 8.2, that means interest rates will have to go up, they were far to low for YEARS, people have gotten used to an easy life, and low mortgagee, that time has come to an end, people must be more careful with their money, the Government should CUT WELFARE, try saying that NOW, the UK's furlough has cost hundred of billions, and the cap on energy prices for two years just adds to the national debt.  The West must act in unison, even the EU, otherwise the people of the West will suffer.

It can be postulated that the Russians are going for daily cruise missile bombing of the structures of the Ukraine, they want to wear the people down, make the Ukraine ask for a TRUCE, and thus prevent the Army of the Ukraine pushing the Russians out in the East and South.  One doubts that that the Russians will drop the BOMB, without some warning and a threat.  Thus the civic society has to protect their electric lines, water lines, and other important areas.  In recent days four areas in the Ukraine did not have power, in the coming WINTER that could be important, the people will need for their to be power as to heat themeseleves and their homes.  One does wonder how many cruise missiles the Russians have, if the Ukraine Air Defence only hits half down that still leaves a lot of damage.  The West is promising more air defences, one hopes they get to KYIV in time.  It could be a COLD WINTER, the Ukraine and Russians Forces will be stuck in position, till the thaw comes. 

NATO ready for Russian THREATS - Ukraine - Russian War - Biden Era

The Russians would be mad to attack the infrastructure of NATO Allies, the West would then have to take on the Russian Bear, escalation could lead to further nuclear escalation.  The FACT that the Ukrainian Army is pushing the Russians in the East and South could force Putin either to go for a tactical nuclear weapon or cut bait and take his troops out of the Ukraine back to the Crimea in the South.  Of course the Ukraine wants the Crimea back after Putin invaded the area in 2014.  NATO was created this prevent Russia taking over other Countries or to threaten smaller States around Russia.  The question has to be asked, does Putin get the fact that any nuclear attack on the Ukraine could bring a harsh NATO reaction or even NATO troops being sent in to the Ukraine, to kick the Russian Bear out of the Ukraine, once and for all.  One does hope Putin is SANE, and just acting for the cameras when he talks about NUCLEAR WAR.

If this blog was a Russian Commander and ruthless as hell, and did not care about human lives, it would hit the infrastructure of Ukraine, try to stop its energy, thus cut power to homes in the regions, cut water supply, prevent foot getting about.  Putin is ruthless, and a mass killer, the West should have STOPPED him when he went on his killing spree in the UK, we allowed to spies to get away with killing people using radiation and other WMD elements in his arsenal.  Putin knows that he has to WIN in the Ukraine or his grip on power would come to an end, the Ukrainian people understand, they have to win, or they will no longer have nation.  The Russians produced school books that wrote Ukraine off the map, they want to make the completely absorb the Ukraine, destroy their culture.  The people of the Ukraine have to fight to the last man, otherwise they are finished.

One can almost feel sorry for the General, what a time to get a new job, the US President has stated in a off the cuff manner that the West is back to 1962 and the Cuban Missile Crisis with the War in the Ukraine, and the bridge that connects Russia to the Crimea has been blow up either by Ukraine Special Forces or by a missile.  One can postulate that the Putin might be ready to drop the TACTICAL Nuclear Missile on the Ukraine, and to be effective it would take more than just one.  The Russian Nuclear train is moving to the direction of the Ukraine, to the border, while the hawks in Russia want the Kremlin to go full nuclear on the Ukraine.   The Russian troops who are running away from their military positions must think that Putin could be ready to drop the BOMB on them without warning, and even if they were warned it does not look they have the hazmats suits to wear.  The question that everyone asks, how does this end, does Putin want a out of this WAR, or will he go full nuclear, let's recall he has sent his daughter to Siberia, she is in a nuclear bunker.  Also there are rumours that Putin is very ill, he might not care if the World goes nuclear, interesting notion.  One hopes the WINTER comes soon, as to freeze the Ukraine and Russian Forces in position, and saner minds take control in Moscow.
