Queen not told that Blunt was a Soviet Spy - Charles III

The important word is officially, the Queen is keeper of all secrets, one would have hoped through unofficial officially that the Monarch would have been told, that Blunt was not a good egg, to be on her guard when talking to him, even about Royal pictures.   ONE does hope today, that the Royal Court is vetted from top to bottom, we don't need another spy scandal.

The leader of Hezbollah bottled it after October 7th, it can be assumed that Iran hold him not to drag Hezbollah and Iran in to a war with the Israel and the US.  The question is will the puppet of Iran do as he promises in the above or will he wait for Iran to make a decision.   One does hope that the NSA and GCHQ have their ears and eyes open, it would be nice to think that the CIA and MI6 have agents on the ground, one can be sure that the MOSSAD have agents on the ground, well one hopes after October 7th, it does raises questions on the competence of Mossad to protect Israel, not time for Mossad to take a tea break.

Lets Get Real:

This is shocking news from modern Germany, one would have thought after World War 2 that the Germans would have learned the historic lessons from that nightmare, one can now see why they take their school age children to concentration camps SO that future generations do not go through the same process, ( this blog thought that it was a bit extreme to take modern Germans back to that period, it seems this blog was wrong ).  The German State has to keep its eyes and ears open to such threats, as the US showed in 2020, Countries that would never think of such things happen can happen if the left or right are not kept a close eye on. NOTHING like that can happen in the UK, we fought to World Wars to prevent that, the centre right might complain about the usual suspects, the BBC over Brexit, the Guardian over everything, Channel 4 News etc, but we accept its part of DEMOCRATIC Country to listen to the other side, even if your eyebrows do go up sometimes, we would never put them in the TOWER OF LONDON, we are better than that, one does hope that MI5 and GCHQ have their eyes and ears open, such threats must be ended before they become a THREAT.

The winter war in the Ukraine will be tough, the Russians want to keep the people of the Ukraine in the dark and very cold.  One can expect more attacks from the Russians, they want to keep the WHOLE Ukraine DARK at night.  Also Western Europe should expect cyber attacks on their own infrastructure, the Russians want to make the West pay for its support of the Ukraine.  One hopes the CIA, NSA in the US is on form to prevent such attacks, also the MI5/6 in the UK and GCHQ have their ears open.  It might be a MILD winter in Europe, one hopes, but one has to plan for the worse.  The Russian plan for a quick war has turned into something out of World War one, the Ukraine and Russian Forces are in the trenches, keeping each other at bay.  There is no time for a Christmas truce as in 1914, the Russians cannot be trusted, well Putin might try something, he really needs as win in the Ukraine or he is finished. Games of Thrones had it right, Winter is Coming!

The hard remainers at Sky jumped on this, already you can see them calling for an investigation to see if there needs to be an investigation.  If the Government did not ask MI5 to investigate and MI5 did not see the need to  look it could be that the Russian Bear kept his paws out out of the process, if you set up an investigation, that costs money, it would have to justify its existence by finding something, anything, that what the remainers want, they want to reverse BREXIT, they want to reverse Democracy.  In between the pandemic, China and the constant threat from Russia, the UK has enough on its hands, does not have time for another political problem.   The Remainers will never accept that we have left the EU. 

All LIVES MATTER - Race in the UK

Lets Get Real:

The protesters should be arrested, they are breaking down lockdown, thus more cases of the virus and deaths, will they care if they kill more people, also they are doing criminal damage to statues.   The Police should NOT ALLOW mass demonstrations if those protesting can not behave, they should send for the Paddy wagon to throw these protesters in jail, the Guardian/BBC types will never call them out on it, also lets get REAL, they defaced a statue of Winston Churchill, who in May 1940 defended Western Democracy against those that wanted to appease Hitler and got the UK ready to fight World War 2.  These mobs are to well arganised, they should be investigated by Special Branch and MI5.  Law and order must be returned to the streets.

This blog is sure that Jeremy Corbyn has nothing to hide, the Labour Leader should sue the Daily Mail, then all the evidence can be shown in Court, also the UK Government should ask the German Government to release the Stasi file on Jeremy Corbyn, once it is clear that Corbyn was never a spy or a person of interest the case on this silly story can be closed.  Of course that depends on Mr Corbyn having nothing to hide!!!

The idea of Corbyn as a spy is very funny, the last person that the Eastern block agency would hire would be Jeremy Corbyn, he was and is far to left wing, and is known as that, the UK Security Agencies would never have given him security clearance, and one does not see him sitting in the Thatcher Cabinet.   The papers will have some fun with the issue, on this Corbyn is in the CLEAR. 

Troops and the General Election - Campaign Trail 49 - GE2017

Lets Get Real:

One hopes for no soldiers on the streets, but if need be the whole Army should be out, if the security services believe that there is a critical threat, the Army should be in every City in the UK, in till the ALL CLEAR IS GIVEN.   If the cell can be traced back to Daesh in the Middle East and Africa then the Military should be sent to take them out, this kind of terror threat has to be removed, not one ounce of it can be allowed to survive, IF prisoners can be taken they should be sent to GITMO for tough interviews.   The UK does not want to be France, it has suffered many terrorist attacks, the UK should make a clean sweep of any Daesh threat coming from the outside the UK.  While in the UK our multi cultured society must work better as a structure, those that are Daesh supporters should be outed by their communities, the police are there to hear of any threat. 

Manhunt in Paris for Get Away Terrorist

The terrorist attack in Paris shows how much a threat to Europe that Daesh is, it has thus far hit Russia with the downing of the Russian plane in Egypt, hit Lebanon and now Paris, one can only assume that the UK and the US are also targets, lets hope MI5 and the FBI are on the case, at least its harder to get guns in the UK, well one hopes.  Our thoughts should be with the families of the 129 killed and concern for those that were injured.    The terrorist has to be lucky once, the Police and government authorities have to lucky all the time.    This is going to be a long WAR on TERROR.

The press, both and left and right smell a good story,  thus they will roll with this story, they all seems to want to nail Tony Blair to the story, shows when your out of office there is no cover or respect.   This blog is hardly a New Labour or Tony Blair fan, but when it comes to national security this blog supports the actions of Tony Blair.    The press have short memories, after 9/11 and 7/7 the people wanted their Government to ACT, it did not matter if it was lawful, they wanted to be protected.   There is no information that points to the fact that Blair knew what the CIA was up to,  the British PM can not know everything MI6 or MI5 do to protect the people.   It is time to let sleeping dogs sleep. 

IS Update - War on Terror 2

Lets Get Real: 

This is ALL the Oval needs, at least before IS and Al Qaeda were at each others throats, now they have joined together, this means that Kurds under US support will have a bigger threat to face.   It would be a nightmare if a union of IS and Al Qaeda managed to take over both Syria and Iraq.    One also has to assume that the West will also become a bigger target, IS will try to strike the US and the UK, lets hope the FBI and MI5 HAVE their ears and eyes open and connect any dots that could become a threat.   One only has to have nightmares if IS gives Al Qaeda the millions it holds, the Al Qaeda franchise could try to buy a nuclear dirty bomb or better arms to attack the West.   This is a troubling development.

Lets Get Real:

The intelligence networks in the West, CIA, FBI, MI6,MI5  etc have to be on their toes over the next few days, they have to see any dots that connect out there, even random dots might lead the Intelligence networks to prevent any more terror attacks.  It will be interesting to see if IS takes any credit for the attacks today, or of course it could be non Middle East related, you have to have an open mind about this case in till suspects are held and their backgrounds are gone through in detail.   It goes without saying that the UK will always support Canada, we share the same Head of State, the Queen.   Good luck to the Canadian polices forces in their search today to find the suspects of this terror attack, one can expect the Police to get their man (generic sense of the word ) 

US Embassies Threat - 2nd Term Blues

Guardian: Reports the following on the Al Qaeda  terrorist threat to US Embassies, " ..plot against diplomatic posts in the Middle East and other Muslim countries. CBS said the intelligence did not mention a specific location. ".

Lets Get Real:

This could be the Oval and the Intelligence Agencies covering their bases should anything happen,  this does recall the August days before 9/11, there was a Al Qaeda threat but the dots had not been linked, one would hope the FBI and the Homeland Security would make sure that there are no threats to the US mainland, but after the Boston Bombings nothing can be ruled out, there could be another terror cell that is waiting to strike in the US or in the Middle East, Europe, etc, also August could be a false lead, since September 2012 we have seen the attack on the US Consulate and in Boston, the Bush/Obama Administrations have done a very good job of taking down old Al Qaeda, but since then the terrorist network has changed, it has become more of a franchise, and is moving from major hits, such 9/11 to smaller scale attacks, what the terror network has learned is that even a small scale attack can bring a City to a halt, as was the case with Boston, the aim of terrorists is to cause terror, with the modern 24/7 news cycle the terrorists can get a lot of attention from a small scale operation.  Lets hope the Mossad, MI6 and other Intelligence networks are not asleep at the wheel, time for total attention, something could be happening folks.     Thus drones will be needed folks, no matter what Secretary Kerry said to the Government of Pakistan. 

Further Arrests in London Terror Attack

BBC News Live - London: Has breaking news, two more people have been arrested in connection with the London terror attack, a man and a woman both 29 have been arrested on the grounds of suspicion of conspiracy to Murder. 

Lets Get Real:

It is early in the investigation folks, the BBC web site states that the first two terrorists arrested at the murder were known to MI5, thus the question will be asked why did NOT MI5 or Special Branch pick up these two suspects, they are in the Court process and prevent this savage and horrific attack and murder, were these terrorists/suspects lone wolfs, they were not clean skins are they were on the radar, thus these new arrests could mean that there is a wider terror threat and that the terrorists have changed from using bombs to using other Al Qaeda methods to kill and to cause terror within civic society.    The old Al Qaeda structure was destroyed by the Bush/Obama polices in Afghanistan and Iraq, thus we have seen franchise groups develop as those in Africa, and suspected lone wolfs in Boston, of course the Boston case is still open and has a strong Russian connection.  The Police and the Security Services have been very successful in preventing another 7/7, that luck was bound to fail sooner or later, lets hope we do not have any more days like yesterday and today folks, lets our thoughts be with the family and friends of the victim, if we give the terrorists to much PR they win, lets not give them that media air. 

US Court vs. UK Parliament

Guardian: Reports that a US Federal Court has blocked a House Commons Select Committee from seeing documents that concern the UK’s role in rendition. One can see why Judge Ricardo Urbina ruled the way he did, the request was not an individual request it was from a branch of the UK Governmental system, a very low branch of the UK Parliamentary system. The Judge might be thinking why are they asking the US Government, why don’t they ask THEIR own Government. One cant wait to see former Labour Ministers having to answer some very tough questions from the Police, but then as stated this blog has predicted that this messy business will be thrown in the long grass, the Police have close contacts with MI5 through Special Branch, they need each other, this is a political argument. If there was another major terrorist attack in the UK the people would want answers from the terrorists, even torture, politics change, what was seen as illegal one day but comes Government policy the next day. This blog lives in the real world folks, even if our MPs don’t at the moment.

Blair Government and Rendition

BBC News: Reports that the Blair Government in 2004 gave the green light for the rendition of Abdel Hakim Belhaj to Libya. This doe have the echoes of the bestseller Ghost, one has to ask did No 10 know about this rendition, did the then PM Tony Blair have knowledge of such action or did he give approval. Thus far a lot of questions but not a lot of answers, this blog does not expect the Police to turn up anything, they have to work with MI5 in the future, thus they can not mess up that relationship. Thus prediction folks, this will be allowed to die in the long grass, the total information on this operation will never come out, that is the British way, we don’t have UK versions of the 1970s US Senate investigations in to intelligence.

Rendition Inquiry Cancelled

BBC News: Reports that the UK Government has cancelled its Rendition Inquiry due to the on going Police investigation, it hopes for an Inquiry after the Police have finished. Folks I will give a £5 to Labour if there is ever an Inquiry in to this, a real Inquiry would ask very awkward questions of the last Labour Government, one can postulate that once the Police find nothing, and they will find nothing, this will all go away, that’s the British tradition, there are times for real investigations, such as the Iraq Inquiry but not this, what was an issue of national security in it day can look like an over reaction later, the British have a find tradition of letting sleeping dogs sleep, God knows what you could find.
　

UK Alert after the Death of Osama Bin Laden

BBC News: Reports that the UK is on alert after the US killed the terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden. One has to wonder did Al Qaeda have sleeper cells in the West whose only job was to seek revenge for the death of Osama Bin Laden if caused by US military action. Lets hope the CIA, MI6, MI5 and the FBI have suspects under surveillance and can prevent any such revenge attacks. The general view of those that comment on terrorism is that Al Qaeda does not have the structure it had pre 9/11, it has become a franchise terrorist group, thus groups or individuals act under the umbrella of Al Qaeda even if the green light is not given by the surviving leadership. The Apex of the power for Al Qaeda was 9/11, the anti terrorism polices of Bush 43 followed by President Obama on the whole has gutted Al Qaeda as a proper structure. Thus it can be postulated and lets hope this prediction is right that any revenge attack will never reach the level of 9/11 or 7/7, and any planned attack can be prevent by the intelligence and police networks of the US and the UK.

Torture Whitewash ?

Guardian: Has a very tough article on the new torture Inquiry, the Guardian notes the following, “ .. government officials made clear, that most of the evidence to the inquiry will be heard in private, and as a non-statutory inquiry, its powers will be limited. ” Also the Inquiry will not have access to CIA officials or even to then Labour PM Tony Blair, in other words folks it can be argued from the left that this is a Whitewash, but the difference is that in this case its good to have a whitewash, the PR will be good, the alleged victims will receive a payout for their suffering and the UK can follow its tradition policy of letting sleeping dogs lie. The truth is never pretty and in the cases after 9/11 the Labour Government had no choice but to act like Jack Bauer from the 24 series. In that time the Western Governments and people thought that there would be another attack, that the attack could even have been from weapons of mass destruction, but due to the polices of the Bush/Blair Governments there was not another 9/11. Thus lets wash those walls white folks.
