Lets Get Real:

The thought that Kerry would run shows how nervous the Democratic Establishment is about a Sanders nomination.  Let's speculate that HRC decides to run again, she won the popular vote in 2016 and has been stuck with nothing to do since 2016, as in elected office, she and Bill must be going mad, politics and Clintons go together like tea and milk.  It can be argued that HRC has the right to run again, she actually BEAT Trump in votes, and thus it would be only fair to give her chance to beat him in 2020.   The chances of that happening are ZERO, the Democratic candidates would not take kindly to a Clinton run again, it is seen that she blew her chances in 2008 and 2016, there are no third acts in American politics.

Thus former Senator, former Secretary of State John F. Kerry is thinking of another run for the Oval Office, he tried that in 2004 against Bush 43 and failed, the Democratic Establishment is better at looking for Mayor Bloomberg to run for the Oval as  their nominee, he has the money, he is a billionaire, and might have a fighting chance against POTUS.  If the Democratic Party goes left wards it might make the base happy but it could cost the Party the Oval, the House and the Senate.   There is no way in hell that a majority of Americans will vote for the socialist Sanders, he is not even a registered Democrat.   One can only hope that Biden pulls off a shock victory in Iowa and New Hampshire.

In many respects President Trump, he talks tough but when you get down to it, POTUS is an appeaser of the first order.  In the 2nd Obama Term, President Obama allowed his Secretary of State, John F. Kerry to march the troops up the hill when it came to Syria, and then cut him lose when the UK House of Commons would to support military strikes on Assad's Syria.   As with Syria and now IRAN, POTUS talks tough but when you get down it, he freezes, just look at Venezuela, both the National Security Adviser and the Secretary of State talk tough on removing the Government of Venezuela and what happened, a FAT NOTHING, tough sanctions that hit the people, while Government and Military ELITE do not suffer.   It has been stated that Trump is a new appeaser, just he shows a tough face but when you get down it, he STOPS.  In his campaign in 2016 Trump made it clear that he does not want to LEAD THE WORLD, this is a return to the US of the 1920s, where the voters did not want to see in another World War, it would take twenty years for the US voter to find its backbone with WW2, only after Imperial Japan attacked Pearl Harbour on December 7th 1941.   Thus it can be postulated that TRUMP will never attack Iran, and sooner or later, Iran will get the bomb.

The Democrats HAVE never gotten over the fact that President Trump beat HRC in 2016.  The Obama/Iran deal is the only real legacy of the Obama years when it comes to foreign policy.   The Trump Oval should revoke the deal, this blogger does not trust the Tehran Regime, one can assume that they like North Korea have secret bases as to develop the bomb.   Those that want to keep the deal are more afraid of another War, and will try to keep the deal at any cost, even if that is accepting that Tehran will get the bomb sooner or later.  The Trump Oval should have US military strikes plans for Tehran, they can not be trusted.

This shows how low the relationship has been reached by the US and Israel.   The Obama Administration would NOT be saying the above if Hillary Clinton had won, they would have been more measured and not wanting to tie the a new Clinton Administration to policy.   The President - Elect had been nice things about how President Obama had treated him, well that is finished.   The very fact that the Oval waited while it was near the door shows how vindictive the move is, if it had done this during its eight years, that would be one thing, but the UN resolution and this speech shows the contempt that Israel held by Liberals.    THE two State solution is DEAD IN THE WATER, only liberals hold this view, the actual road has changed, there will NEVER be a Palestinian State, there will be state under the control of ISRAEL, they need to keep their security, and they are right to do so.

This is President Obama and Secretary Kerry settling scores with Israel, if HRC had won November the Oval would have waited its hand, but since Trump is coming in to power in January the Obama Oval wants to make it clear that there is a sharp difference between its record and that of Trump.   The US and Israeli relationship has been in a deep freeze over the eight years of the Obama term, now the President Obama is making it clear that the troubles in the Middle East Peace process is down to Israel and its refusal to budge on buildings in Israel.   The Israeli Government just has to wait in till President Trump comes in to power, there will be a total new relationship and no one will care what Obama thinks about the Middle East.  As this blog has stated there is nothing worse that being a former President, you either have a good relationship with the President or you are in the COLD.

In the day the Clintons were the future, well correct that, Bill Clinton was the future, he won two terms as President, even at the cost of losing the House to Republicans.  With the exception of President Obama the later nominees have been losers, Gore lost Bush 43 in 2000, then Senator Kerry lost in 2004.  In 2008 Obama was elected and served two terms, of course he defeated HRC in 2008, that was supposed to be the year of HRC, but she lost to the young Senator.   Then eight years later HRC defeated the left wing Senator Sanders but lost to Donald Trump in the general election.   The Democrats have to cut the Clintons lose, there TIME is over when it comes to leading the Democratic Party, they need another Bill Clinton or Obama, the safe bet is no longer the right bet.

This is an interesting leak by the HRC Campaign, it is a message to the base that a Clinton Era will follow the policies of President Obama, also the unsaid message is that Kerry is OUT, the Oval Office under Hillary Clinton will run foreign policy with help from Bill Clinton.  Thus a Secretary Biden will attend ALL the funerals etc, be the Secretary of State in name only, as Biden is older than HRC he might like the perks of the job without any of the real stress.   Thus we have the first Clinton Cabinet member on the cards.

The fault line of the Middle East runs through the Obama Oval Office, this blog has lost county of how many US Defence Secretaries the President Obama has gone through, he came into office thinking he was God's gift to International Politics, no one was brave enough to tell he was a Chicago Pol who got lucky, with the the near economic collapse in 2008.   Thus in 2011 Obama removed the final US troops from Iraq, this allowed for the birth Daesh and the need to send troops back in Iraq and Syria.   The Iraqi attack on Mosul will take more US troops, thus the new US President will face the same problems as Obama faced in 2008 but worse, the US will be needed to make sure that the various sectors of Iraqi society do not fall in to Civil War, and then there is Syria, the answer to Syria has this blogger lost, whatever solution is it will be the lesser evil.

The US is still talking to the Russians, WHY?, this is like the 1930s when the Allies talked to Nazi Germany as the tanks rolled in to Czech Republic.   The Russians under Putin see a chance to gain influence in the Middle East, the US has a weak President in Obama, there is an election going on in which Donald Trump is seen as friendly to the Russians, of course the Russians are not going to listen.   Time for the Obama Oval to smell the coffee, Elvis has left the building, you need a new song.

As stated the Oval Office and Downing Street will be looking for calm, the last thing that the Middle East needs right now is a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia, this it might need the US Secretary of State, John Kerry to visit both States and calm their nerves and get them to keep only shouting at each other, if Kerry can not do it, what about for former US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, might well think of all the choices, with Syria in fire the World does not need another Crisis point.    The only winners are Daesh in Syria and Iraq should there be a regional war.

The Russians want to keep Assad in power, the West is more concerned with defeating Daesh at the moment, thus both Russia and the US and its allies have a common enemy, the Western allies will accept that Assad or his regime will remain in power, the Russians want to keep their only warm water port.   The Russians have moved in tanks, and aircraft to defend the Assad position, if the Russians are going to do this anyway the West might as well take the offer up to combine forces to get rid of Daesh.    The problem of Assad will have to be dealt with but it can wait, if and when Daesh is removed the West can place pressure on Assad to have a stable Country, thus the return of refugees.   These developments will take time, the defeat of Daesh has to be the number one aim for the West, the rest can wait.

The US should have stood up to Iran, made it a simple deal, either they give up ALL their nuclear material and allow 24/7 inspection when UN wanted or face military action.   The Iran nuclear deal is a modern Munich 1938, it leaves our allies under threat from a powerful Iran. Shame on President Obama and Secretary Kerry.   The Obama Administration knows the Republicans do not have the votes to override a Presidential veto, well then the Republicans should make sure that the Democrats own the Iran nuclear deal, make any negatives results the responsibility of the Oval Office, make the Democrats pay a price in 2016.

The Iran Regime is playing hardball while the Oval Office and the State Department are off in the Wonderful World of Obama, were the US is the bad actor and the rest of the World understands that is US actions that cause problems.   One would not be shocked that Iran goes nuclear before Obama leaves office in 2017.   The issue of Iran will play BIG in the US election in 2016, the Oval Office will be  held responsible for Iran's actions in the Middle East, they will have billions of frozen assets to use to undermine the US/Israel in the Middle East.  The Nuclear Deal Saga is not over by a long way.

The time to get US hostages out of Iran's jails was during the nuclear talks, the Obama Administration wanted a nuclear deal at ANY cost, even the lives of US Citizens held by the Tehran Regime.   The Iran Government knows that the Oval Office does not care about its citizens, the final price for the nuclear deal should have been the release of those US hostages held in Iran.    The Tehran Regime has got what it wanted, the lifting of US and UN sanctions and the return of assets held by the UN.    The poor nuclear deal is not worth the paper it is written, as it gives the right for Tehran to go nuclear down the line.   Those that lost in the deal were America's moral authority and its people held in Iran.

On this issue lets see if the President is right, does hope overcome history, does Obama failures at the domestic front mean that by extension he is a failure on the international front.   There are so many things outside the control of the Oval Office, will Israel and Saudi Arabia take action if they think that the Iran nuclear deal is a farce, do Democrats on the whole want their names attached to this deal.  Lets recall that Neville Chamberlain was seen as a guilty man of the 1930s with his policy of appeasement,  Is that the fate of Obama and Kerry, only time will tell and the future is out there.

The Tehran Regime can smell that the Obama Oval is weak, the Obama Administration wants a deal at any cost, otherwise the Obama Administration will look weak and out of touch with reality.   The State Department does not want another Munich, it does not want to be shown up as fools in a rush to get a deal.   The Russians due to Ukraine sanctions are playing games, they are pushing to arm Iran, while also wanting it seems a non nuclear Iran. One has to assume that Putin is pushing Tehran to be tough, the Russians are looking to undermine Obama and the US in Europe and the Middle East.    Thus further talks leading nowhere.

There was a report in the UK Times that the US and Russia were having talks on what should happen in Syria should Assad fall from power, it would be ironic; if after Secretary Kerry stated that the West should talk to Assad at the time because his side was winning; then for Assad to lose in the end.   The Russians would want to keep their base in Syria, of course that depends who is in power, Tehran will use all its power to make sure that Assad does not fall, but if it he does, lets hope neither Al Qaeda or IS take power, that would be a disaster for Syria and the Middle East.

Who would have thought that is would be the French who were tough on Iran, the Obama Oval can smell a deal, it wants a deal at any cost, the French should stand up to Obama,  he will be out of Office in 2017, any failed deal will be left to the powers, thus better to be firm NOW, not later.   That kind of mess can lead to WAR.    The Gulf States are using their money and influence to make it clear to the French, that should they be tough they will gain long term economic and political influence that once the US held.    If POTUS wants to give up the leadership of the West, that is fine, but he does not get to say who takes over, its only an ego maniac who thinks he can control those kind of events.. 

What is the US up to in the waters of Yemen - Yemen Crisis

Is this the Oval Office doing its usual, of creating new policy then cutting the feet off the Secretary, in this case the Defence Secretary, as it has been noted before in this blog the Oval Office allowed Secretary Kerry to set the stage for war with Syria and then backed down, thus the growth of IS in Syria and Iraq and the present US attacks on IS in Iraq.   If the US sends out an aircraft carrier it sends a strong message that the opposition needs to back off, but now the Oval has made the mission pointless, the Tehran Regime will take this move as a greenlight to supply the houthis of Yemen with more weapons, thus creating more problems for Saudi Arabia, a Western ally in the region.  Whenever the Obama Administration says something about the Middle East  it causes even more problems, some people never learn.
