Joe Biden will be the Democratic Nominee, Michigan will be a walk over - US 2020 Election

Lets Get Real:

The Democratic race is over, after Super Tuesday and winning a majority of the States the former VP is on course for a big win in the State of Michigan.  The failure of the Sanders campaign to get the YOUTH VOTE has undermined his campaign theme,also the Democratic Establishment is NOW fully on board.  It can be argued that Joe Biden is the biggest comeback kid of American politics, most commentators and this blog thought Biden was TOAST, but South Carolina was his firewall and the black vote came out to support the former VP to Obama.   Thus we know enter the general election, Trump vs Biden.  It is going to be a SHOW, like no other. 

US Update 1 - US 2020 Presidential Election

Lets Get Real:

Thus Biden won South Carolina with a 28% point victory over Senator Sanders, that has lead to Mayor Pete and Senator Klobuchar getting out of the race, as they could not see a way for them to win.  Thus the four main candidates are Former VP, Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, who represent the moderates in the race, while the left is represented by Senator Sanders and Warren.  Today is Super Tuesday, 14 States vote for their nominee, it would be foolish to predict, with the departure of Klobucher and Mayor Pete the centre of the Democratic Party could move to support Biden, while the left will be split between Sanders and Warren.  On the moderate side will shall see what the four hundred million spent by Mayor Bloomberg get him, does get close to Biden, does he get any delegates, that should be known by this time tomorrow.  As for a foolish prediction, this blog would not be shocked to see Senator Sanders with hundreds of delegates, but also Biden, can Biden pass Sanders, that is an open question, will the Democrats have a contested convention, we shall find out. 

Bloomberg in NEVADA Debate - US 2020 Election

Lets Get Real:

This is when the Bloomberg campaign really gets into the race, according to CNN the former Mayor of New York and spend four hundred million of his 45 billion fortune on the election.  The uber liberal wing of the Democratic Party, the Sanders supporters will never move to support Mayor, they would be exchanging one billionaire for another, and one that has a record of supporting in their view racist policies while Mayor, such as search and frisk and of saying sexual comments around women.  Also the Sanders based is very tied to Sanders, they think the DNC stole the election in 2016 for HRC.  The Mayor needs to get the supporters of Buttigieg and Klobuchar to come around and support him, this would allow the moderates to nominate a moderate for the Democratic nomination.   The debate is tomorrow. 

Mayor Bloomberg and his Past Remarks - US Election 2020

The left wing Guardian is covering for Bloomberg, the article does not mention the fact that Bloomberg was sued for alleged sexist comments in the work place, and it is reported that he told a female worker to have an abortion, the Mayor denied that he ever said that, if it has been Trump the uber liberal media would be ALL over the story.  One has to assume that the Maine Stream Media has worked out that to take out Trump they need a liberal Trump.  Thus the skate over problems that if it has been Trump that is all you would hear about.  The other candidates in the Democratic race are taking the fight to the former Mayor.  The question is can they beat the 45 billion that Bloomberg has in his WALLET.   Thus Nevada and  Super Tuesday will be VERY IMPORTANT. 

New Hampshire Follow Up - Part 2 - US 2020 Election

The Sanders camp might need the moderates to keep going, if they split the moderate vote between them; Biden, Mayor Pete and Senator Klobuchar; will allow Sanders to gain the nomination without a limited vote, it can postulated that Warren will drop out after Nevada or SC if she is not at the top of the vote.  It was reported that Biden has 9 million in bank, he will need for the BIG STATES, like California and Texas, its cost millions.  Thus we come to Mayor Bloomberg, he has BILLIONS on hand for Super Tuesday, and can out spend the rest of the candidates in to oblivion.  The polls from Nevada and SC will be very interesting. 

Sanders takes Pole position in new Poll - US Election 2020

Lets Get Real:

If Biden crashes and burns again after Iowa there will be serious questions about his candidacy, he was meant to be the vote getter, if he can not win in areas like Iowa and New Hampshire, what are his chances in the fly over States.  The main camp to be worried will be the Warren camp, she is a Senator in the neighbouring State, it would be expected that she would get some voters from that, as voters would get the TV from the neighbouring State.  If Sanders wins then the Democratic Establishment might look to Mayor Bloomberg to take him on, as he has billions, let's face it, he could buy most States if he wanted.  The question is can Sanders or Bloomberg get the black vote, as to be elected POTUS they need African American votes.  It seems Mayor Pete is a no go with African American voters, as the men it seems have a problem with the fact that Pete is gay, there is not a lot he can do about that, also he is married.

Kerry NOT RUNNING in 2020 - Iowa Part 4 - US Election 2020

The thought that Kerry would run shows how nervous the Democratic Establishment is about a Sanders nomination.  Let's speculate that HRC decides to run again, she won the popular vote in 2016 and has been stuck with nothing to do since 2016, as in elected office, she and Bill must be going mad, politics and Clintons go together like tea and milk.  It can be argued that HRC has the right to run again, she actually BEAT Trump in votes, and thus it would be only fair to give her chance to beat him in 2020.   The chances of that happening are ZERO, the Democratic candidates would not take kindly to a Clinton run again, it is seen that she blew her chances in 2008 and 2016, there are no third acts in American politics.

Thus former Senator, former Secretary of State John F. Kerry is thinking of another run for the Oval Office, he tried that in 2004 against Bush 43 and failed, the Democratic Establishment is better at looking for Mayor Bloomberg to run for the Oval as  their nominee, he has the money, he is a billionaire, and might have a fighting chance against POTUS.  If the Democratic Party goes left wards it might make the base happy but it could cost the Party the Oval, the House and the Senate.   There is no way in hell that a majority of Americans will vote for the socialist Sanders, he is not even a registered Democrat.   One can only hope that Biden pulls off a shock victory in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The Socialist Vermont Senator is NOW leading in Iowa and has a chance in New Hampshire.   One has to be impressed with Sanders not his policy, but his recovery from a heart attack and the lack of the opposition candidates to use that against him, he is in his 70s also, well then you can argue is Trump, the combined ages of both would take you to over 140+.    If and it is still a big if, Bernie can take Iowa and New Hampshire he could be hard to beat on Super Tuesday.  It can be argued the same is for Senator Warren, she has a chance of winning Iowa and New Hampshire, if she can win both then Biden is is real trouble in S.C.  Also the Senators will have to attend the TRIAL of President Trump before the US Senate, that will take them away from the campaign trail, that could allow Biden or Mayor Pete to overtake them in Iowa and New Hampshire.    The Senators might say in public they support the campaign of Pelosi but not if it costs them the Presidency.

The Biden Campaign has not had a good week, it has seen the candidate flip flop over abortion, first saying that he not believe in Federal funding of abortion, then after holding that view for decades he change his mind because the extreme left of the Democratic Party wants abortion on demand and funded by the State.  It seems principal does not matter to Catholic Biden, he will say or do anything to become the next President of the United States.  The abortion on demand demand might not go down well with the rust belt States, also LIBERALS must ask how wedded is Biden to any policy.   The Democratic Debates are going to be interesting, do the more left wing candidates go after Biden, this might be their only chance with the extreme left of the Party.   The Biden " Rose Garden Strategy " has fallen to Earth, he is having to fight in the political trenches, this is his only chance to be POTUS, after failing twice before.

The SNP is playing the FEAR game again, they have not gotten the FACT that the Scottish voters want to remain in the UK and out of the EU.  It is because the Conservatives gain in Scotland that there is a Conservative Government in power, the Scots know that Scotland out of the UK would be a bad deal, the SNP having failed to get a indy vote the first time want to try for another one, the UK Government should say NO, the UK is the United Kingdom, we are united.   Without a Indy vote what is the point of the SNP.  One thing Jeremy Corbyn has been clear about is the fact that the UK will leave the Single Market and the Customs Union, thus SNP can not back up its demands in the House of Commons.

Bloomberg Effect on 08 Election

New York Times: One gets the feeling from reading this article that the Liberal New York Times is very afraid that Mayor Bloomberg will run for President. Bloomberg is a billionaire he could buy the New York Times in his sleep!! Liberals are scared and for good reason, if he ran the general view is that he would hurt the Democratic Candidate and thus help the Republicans. Run Bloomberg Run.

The Wild Card of 08

New York Times: This could be the wild card of o8, if Mayor Bloomberg was to run for the Presidency. He is a BILLIONAIRE, the NYT writes the following, " Advisers have said Mr. Bloomberg, a billionaire many times over, might invest as much as $1 billion of his own fortune (he spent about $160 million on his two mayoral races) on a presidential campaign. " Both Republicans and Democrats combined could not match him in the money stakes, he could spend a billion and not notice, this would then become even more an interesting race, the establishments of both Parties should be very worried about a Bloomberg Campaign.

Bloomberg and 08 Election?

A new poll for CNN has Mayor Bloomberg on 17% in a three way race, Clinton 41 %, Giuliani 38%. Think he has not spent a penny of his Billions yet, with figures likes that it must be a temptation to the Mayor, he could come from behind and win. A Liberal on Social Issues but a conservative on money matters. If I was a Republican or Democrat consultant I would be hoping that he does not run, he could out spend any candidate, and Bloomberg 08 has a nice ring to it, Obama seems to have stalled in the Democratic Race he might come back in less he wants the Vice - Presidency under a President Clinton. Edwards has gone extreme left, it offends the bad politics in VIEWS, A. Dean in 04 any one, B. The American Left is not the USA.

On the Republican side, Fred Thompson seems the real challenge to Giuliani, McCain seems on the way out, Romney is getting the money in, but the national polls have him low but he leads in N.H. and Iowa. This paradox is interesting but makes politics fun.

If you support Mayor Bloomberg write or phone his office, let him know you support a fresh approach to American politics. If your an American became part of the process, support a new idea for a new America. Bloomberg wont have to pander to his base he is the base, billions work well in that area. It is about leadership and Bloomberg could be the fresh voice for the United States.

Bloomberg and the General Election?

An interesting article in the New York Times on the effect of Mayor Bloomberg on the 2008 race for President. In essence the article argues that Bloomberg could be a King maker if he gained enough Electoral College votes and thus have some kind of European Deal to have his voters vote for his choice for President. I wish the New York Times would remember that this is the USA not Europe. Does the NYT want to destroy the American system?
