The Ukraine advance in the North East has found many graves that can be called WAR CRIMES, the Russians have a lot to answer for, the question is what will Putin do next, he is on the back foot and he needs to keep support at home, even Russian Nationalists are now calling for more extreme action, the common call is for a low level nuclear assault on the Ukraine, in recent interview POTUS has stated that the Russians should not use chemical or nuclear weapons, the US would react, but the Biden Oval is ambiguous about US reaction.  One has to believe that Putin is not that MAD, yes he is a WAR CRIMINAL, he started an illegal WAR, and as allowed his troops to run wild, committing MURDER, RAPE, THEFT to name a few crimes. Russian Forces have bombed schools and hospitals and other vital structures in the Ukraine.  The question is what will PUTIN DO NEXT, call his special military operation a WAR and order mass conscription, that would be risky, and what happens if that does not work, at what point is Putin over thrown?  That is a question that many in the West and Russia are asking.

This is not what Putin's Russia wanted, it wanted a easy victory in the Ukraine and move closer to EU and NATO Countries, it did not expect the WEST to rearm the Ukraine Army and keep the Ukraine in the WAR.  Also Sweden and Finland have asked to join NATO, the UK and US have given security guarantees to both Countries should Turkey play the spoiler, they will be at WAR if Russia invades, and it doe not matter what they think, if the US and the UK in action so will be NATO and Turkey does not have a VETO over that.  The Russians have gained ground in South East Ukraine, the worry for the West is that Putin will declare victory and then it will be down to the carved up state to go in to a long WAR of attrition with Russia in the East.  The Biden OVAL and UK PM Boris could do with a victory, they are under pressure at home.

The US and the West faces a cost of living crisis, coming out of COVID - 19, then there is inflation, in part inflation is being driven by the Ukraine - Russia War, the fact that oil prices have gone up, due to the WAR.  Also the Russians are keeping grain of Ukraine has hostage, thus a part of the cost of living crisis. The Russian President has no shame, he has shown that he is a WAR CRIMINAL, he has allowed his troops to do WAR CRIMES with no action.  The destruction of the East of Ukraine, is a WAR CRIME.  The Western Leaders have to explain to voters, that the West cannot afford to allow Russia to WIN, any success by Russia is a threat to Europe, also it might to LEAD to World War 3.

Thus Putin is moving for his large WAR with Ukraine, the Russian have the biggest Armed Forces in Europe, they should take out the Ukraine Army in days, thus one hopes the Ukraine Army and Kiev Government fight like hell, send as many Russian body bags back to Holy Russia.  Let's see How Putin reacts to the mothers of Russian soldiers react to the death count a it goes up. The West, well in this case, the US and UK should support the Ukraine Army, keep the fighting as long a possible, make the Russians fight for every inch of the Ukraine.  Let's this be Ukraine's finest HOUR.  After the Ukraine Army is beaten, and it will be beaten, the US and the UK should support an insurgency, give them what they need, make the Ukraine Putin's Afghanistan. If the US had moved the above forces to the Ukraine this crisis would not have started, the Russian Bear can smell weakness, and the West is weak, the Germans sent five thousand caps to the Ukraine, that is really going to help, the West in general is afraid of the economic consequences or blowback from the RUSSIAN SANCTIONS.  Also if Putin does invade, what happens NEXT, does the West support a Ukraine insurgency and how will the West support such move, by land or air, the Russians will say that is a ACT OF WAR and will try to stop any supplies, they remember Afghanistan during the Reagan Administration in the 1980s.  This endless shuttle diplomacy is getting samey, the usual talks but not a lot happening, the West in the shape of the US and the UK has sent lethal aid, but this will not counter massive forces of Russia.  Thus what is this blog's prediction, 6/10 that Putin gets worried and withdraws his troops, 3/10 Putin invades, 1/10 World War 3.  Lets hope this blog is right that Putin takes the concessions he has gained and goes back in to his bear cave.

Thus Putin would have expected the above, what is interesting is the line that the US and its Allies are " equally prepared for other scenarios.  ".  Does this mean that that the US and its NATO Allies will support a Ukraine insurgency as the US did to the Afghan Rebels in the 1980s under Ronald Reagan.  Of course any support by the West would drag in the threat of World War 3, will the Allies contemplate a NO FLY ZONE, this would have a severe restrictions on the Russians if they want to bomb the Ukraine.  There will be refugees from the Ukraine to EU and NATO Countries, will the US and its Allies set up camps that will need to take in hundred of thousands to millions, this will be seen as a threat by Russia.  Also the Russians seeing the weakness of the West in the case of Ukraine might think they have a chance with the BALTIC STATES or even POLAND.  Thus it was good to see that the US has sent three thousand more troops to Poland.  The Baltic States might need that level of support or more even.  The tempo of the crisis has risen, are the Russians from Putin on down lying to the West, or does only Putin know what is really going to happen.  Tuesday and Wednesday are the target dates, let's see if Western intelligence is on the BALL.

As the article notes 90 tones of aid has been sent by the US, this is a STARK warning to the Russia, the British Government has also sent lethal weapons, the Kremlin has to get its mind around the FACT that the West, US, UK and other countries will support the Kiev Government if the Russians invade.  The Kiev Government might need support of they have to fight an insurgence against the Russians, the Russian Army is the biggest in Europe, the problem is that there only needs one thing to go wrong or a Russian Commander to push his  luck and start a WAR with NATO.  The Kremlin needs to send a strong messages to its military commanders, that should NATO country be attacked then ALL other NATO Countries go to their support.  The meeting between the US Secretary of State and Russian Foreign Minister yesterday seems pointless, they just stated the same points as last week.  One really hopes that Putin backs off, otherwise we could be seeing the origins of World War 3.

One does have to wonder if the UK had sent these kind of forces to Poland in 1939 would Hitler have invaded, would there have been World War 2 and the millions of deaths.  The UK is sending a FIRM WARNING, but has made it clear that it will not be sending troops, the Russian Army is to BIG, the only way the UK would be taking action is if Putin has gone MAD and attacks a NATO Country, then ALL BET ARE OFF, one doubts that will happen, the costs would be to far even for tyrant like Putin.  Thus one can expect more cyber attacks on the Ukraine, a small invasion to take the East Ukraine and absorb it in to the Russian Federation, that would bring the Russians very close to Poland, a NATO MEMBER.  Also one can expect more action on the borders of the Baltic States.  The question is what will buy Putin off and will the costs be to much for the Biden Oval and the West.

If the Russians were bluffing they have gone to far, the US under Biden is not going to say NO to the Ukraine, it might make them say YES faster.  The NATO allies are not going to remove NATO troops from Eastern Europe States that are part of NATO or their equipment.  The latest line is that Putin is to be given military options if the diplomacy fails, there is two options left, have some real talks about a new INF Treaty and advance notice of military games or invade the Ukraine and make threats to the Baltic States and Poland.  Why Putin has gone this far?  The Russian President looks sane, well for a Russian tyrant.  It has to be asked who is advising him, his rich friends must be worried that their assets will be frozen by the West and Putin could be leading Russia in to a hot war with the West.  One hopes there are some sane people around Putin, also not afraid to tell him some home truths, nuclear wars are BAD! Is the Ukraine worth it,  WW3 would make WW2 look like a nice dinner party that went wrong!
