The more Trump waits convinces this blog that he is a WIMP.  As the last month has show he backs down under pressure, from Greenland, his slander of British Troops in Afghanistan and now ICE killing of two Americans as they protest the Trump attempt to throw out illegal immigrants.   The Trump Oval is getting pressure from Middle East allies, and his MAG base not to attack, thus Turkey could be his way out, he has the blood of Iranian  protesters on his hands, he said he would come to the rescue and he failed them.  The Democrats should take the House in November, Americans do not like weak leaders, look at what happened to President Biden after his rash exit of Afghanistan.   Reagan and JFK were strong leaders, so in many respects were Bush 41 and Bush 43, after the failure of the peace in Iraq, Bush 43 still won in 2004 Presidential Election, LBJ had to withdraw after doing badly in the 1968 New Hampshire primary, and President Biden had to withdraw after the most disastrous  Debate in Presidential history in 2024.  Trump's poll number are in the toilet, he will get impeached by the Democratic House in 2026, and the Republicans might fancy their chances with a President Vance in the OVAL.

The post-mortem of a failed Presidential run is more fun, defeat has a hundred fathers and winning one has the Candidate who wins and listened to his son as to whom is COOL in the podcast age, Trump gave three hours to the top podcaster in the US, the Harris Campaign turned him down, they were only willing to give him a hour.   Thus the podcaster endorsed Trump.  That 3 hours was time well spent.   The VP did not give herself licence to distance herself from President Biden, on the tv show THE VIEW, she could not think of one thing that she would do differently that Biden even Afghanistan, even LBJ's VP broke with him on Vietnam, and came very close to winning.   The issue of abortion didn't sell itself to older women, they were more concerned about the cost of weekly bills, the Democrats hoped that as before abortion would bring women on a large scale to vote for Harris.  As the article states, it barely moved the needle.   This blog suggested that she say she would only do one term, it would show she was different form Biden, or she could resigned the Vice - Presidency, and ran opposed to Biden, one assumes she liked Air Force 2 to much.  The Democrats need to back their roots, the working class, not Graduates, not everyone has a degree.   The American family want a strong leader, not that someone that breaks glass ceilings for women, hard to hear but its important.  The Democrats need to go back to their nomination process in Iowa AND New Hampshire, not rig the process at they did for Biden in 2020, let the voters see what the Democrats are offering, 2026 not far away, after the Mid Terms in 2026, Democratic candidates should start to visit Iowa and NH.   The American election process in endless.  That is Democracy at WORK.

It was fun seeing CNN trying to justify President Biden having TOP SECRET documents in his possession from his years as VP to President  Obama.  This will be used by Republicans to hammer the Biden Oval and Biden Department of Justice, there are a lot of questions for the President Biden to answer, who moved the documents from their secure area, who had access, why did it take 6 years and how come the national archive did not ask for them, were they playing favourites.  One can postulate that most modern Presidents take secret documents with them, let's recall at the centre of the LBJ Library there is glass box, with a letter marked X on it and when it should be opened.  The information inside was how the FBI tracked the Nixon efforts to persuade the South Vietnam Government in 1968 not to go to the Paris Peace talks, that they would have a better deal under President Nixon than with LBJ.  The reverse happened in the fullest of time.  President Johnson knew he had the goods on Richard Nixon but did not want to cause a political crisis after Nixon had won Presidency, he made sure that Nixon knew he knew, and thus Nixon played ball with any requests from LBJ.  It can be postulated that the Watergate scandal has its origins in this matter. Why would former President Trump need to keep 700 pages of secret materials, and that is just the documents that was taken away from the Trump home in January, the President would have known that he could have looked at them at any time, in a secure manner, the security of the the Trump Home would hardly be up to the standard of what the Government does to keep documents secret, what if foreign intelligence bodies had found this out and tried to get copies, the fact that Trump had them is not the problem, its the bulk.  It should be noted that in 1969 when LBJ left office he took information that showed that the Nixon Campaign had placed pressure on the Saigon Government in South Vietnam not to go to the Paris Peace Talks.  LBJ could have blown up the 68 campaign with this hacked information, but he kept it quiet and stated that the information would be held in his Library, in a envelope to be opened decades later.  It has been postulated that the WATERGATE break in was Nixon looking to see what the Democrats had on the 68 campaign, why otherwise break in, the Richard Nixon won the 72 election in a landslide, he did not need to break in to the Watergate.  The Saigon connection makes sense of the break in.  The point being that Presidents do take secret information with them, well LBJ and Trump did, so let's not get pious about it, its the volume that is the problem.  One has to say that Trump should face charges, but the Biden Administration should not do that, it should be the grown up, CNN and the liberal media want that, it would be disaster, it would make Trump a martyr to the course, the information from Jan 6 is bad enough to stop from running, let's not give Trump a OUT, the Democrats would never be forgiven.

POTUS will not resign if he does not want too, but a argument can be made that if he is forced with Impeachment and the Republicans in the Senate going along with it, then he could be forced out and banned from running in 2024.  Trump could take the Nixon option, resign, but before doing that, granting himself and his family a FULL PARDON, in way that would benefit Biden, he does need Trump  clogging up his agenda, one doubts that Biden would allow Trump to face arrest and prison time, once you start that, it sets a precedent, and no POTUS wants that, him or her could be NEXT.  CNNN is loving this, but giving that Trump has given them sword one can not really complain.  Even Nixon knew at the end that he had destroyed himself, Nixon was self aware, that is why he wanted Trump to run for the Oval, one assumes that Tricky Dicky knew that Trump would be a disaster, and his poll ranking would go up a bit, Nixon was no Trump, he did win twice, in 1968 and 1972.

Trump has been friendly to Putin's Russia and to North Korea, he has been critical of allies, while bending backwards to be nice to enemies of the West.  Thus we are not far from the Biden Era, God help us!
