The Biden White House has  made great play that the Biden Justice Department is free from political influence from the White House, that is a mistake, is the Special Counsel trying to get Trump re-elected, any more prosecutions and Trump will win in a landslide against Biden.  The Democrats have done a overkill on Trump, even people who do not like Trump will feel that the Dems have gone to far.  Biden is a weak candidate and mistake now or in 2024 and he could be finished.   The Democrats need a back up candidate for 2024, some one younger and with charisma and someone who can walk straight without looking like a old robot .

If your a moderate in a typical Republican State or a Senator, then you have to ask yourself, will the voters forgive me if I support the Biden Agenda and its big welfare spending, as it is them that will be running, not Pelosi in California or AOC in New York.  Thus it can be postulated that if the Democrats lose the House and Senate in the Mid Terms, WILL Biden run in 2024, of course the Democrats must be praying that Trump enters the race, then they will have a hate figure to get out the base, but what if he does not run, through ill health or he does not like his chances, the Democrats could face a fresh new Republican, let's say for argument sake, the new Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, he appealed to the Trump base but also got moderates back and the suburbs, you never know.  Thus the Mid Terms will be a fork in the road, for Biden and Trump.

This is a major upset, the pundits said it would be close, but that the Democrat would in the end win, well that didn't happen, the Democrat Candidate Terry McAuliffe, a close friend of the Clintons, stressed that Governor Elect Youngkin was another Donald Trump and stressed abortion rights, while Youngkin stressed local politics, as a famous Democratic Speaker stated, All politics is local. The Democrats seem to have missed that point.  It has been argued that if the US Congress had gotten it act together of the Biden Agenda then McAuliffe would have had a better chance, it can be argued that the Virginia vote is a rejection of the Biden Agenda, moderates in the House should worry, should they support the bigger bill, a welfare bill, protecting people from birth to death, or run other way.   As for Senator Manchin if he wants to he can tell Biden NO, why should he put his SEAT at risk, it can be postulated that Manchin has the upper hand in this relationship.

This is a Conservative BLOG, the Budget was one you would expect from a Labour Government, there was a lot of spending, the only good news or bad news depending on how it effects you is that the Living Wage is going up, and there was reform in Universal Credit, people on it can keep more of their money than before.  This blog was looking for drastic cuts in Taxes, there was a mention that since we are out of the EU, EU rules on Ships no long apply.  Also spirits tax was reduced, that will be good for pubs, if you go to a pub these days after COVID - 19.   The Virus is still large in WALES.  One expects that this Budget was a place holder for a big tax cuts next year in time for a General Election.   No wonder Labour's reply was hardly great, they could have delivered such a Budget.  As a Conservative one has hopes for NEXT YEAR.

In any other context this would be a great number, but let's recall we have LEFT UK citizens and Afghan Allies at the mercy of the Taliban and ISIS-K.  The Taliban have closed down a music school as that is against their agenda.  After the West has left, we should expect the Taliban to return to form, banning girls from School, banning them from work, banning Western culture, etc. The Taliban are two groups, one side has had contact with the West due to diplomatic talks, while the foot Soldiers WANT to impose their view of Islam on Afghanistan.  Thus to keep the terror group together and to prevent defections to ISIS-K expect the OLD Taliban to come back.  The West will NOW have to deal with the threat form a new Al Qaeda, Daesh and ISIS-K.  Afghanistan will become a home for Islamic terrorists, and all because Joe Biden is an OLD MAN, who can not understand that he has never been right about foreign policy.

At the end of the day it has to be asked was the Afghan War worth the effort in deaths and the money spent on it, the answer with the withdrawal of the US in 2021 is that it was not worth the deaths from the Allied military to the people of Afghanistan.   It has been postulated that the Kabul Government will FALL in six months, will Biden give the green light for the US Air Force to support the Government with planes and drones, or will hide behind his desk as women and girls are banned from education, women are stoned to death of they commit adultery and people whipped for crimes that are not seen as crimes in the West, listening to music, having a TV, you get the idea.   If Afghanistan goes in to civil war it will be the fault of the Biden Oval, another Biden mistake.

The above was the predictable outcome, the West has gotten tired of Afghanistan, the deaths of Western troops and the cost during a pandemic.  Afghanistan is known as the graveyard of Empires, the British Empire was here, so was the USSR and now the US and its Allies.  Afghanistan is a HARD PLACE TO keep stable and the Countryside and mountains help opposition forces, its a nightmare without end for the people of Afghanistan, women, girls will find that they are suppressed under the Taliban, people will be executed in public, Western culture will be abolished.   Then we come to the bad outcome for the West, Al Qaeda will be back, also Daesh, God knows who else.  Thus the West will be back in Afghanistan, one way or another, most likely by drones or planes, returning to the policy of the British Empire, if you see people you think are suspect you kill them with a bomb or a drone.

The LACK of response from Ms Rayner shows that she could have been bought off with a senior job in the Shadow Cabinet, the present Shadow Chancellor is not up to much and could be replaced.   The Labour LEFT wants the Labour Party to go extreme LEFT, this would be a mistake by Sir Keir, it would make sure that the Labour Party LOST the 2024 general election.  Someone needs to remind the Scottish First Minister, that only the UK House of Commons can grant a 2nd IndyRef vote, anything else would be illegal and could see the SNP breaking the law and facing harsh charges of sedition.  In looking further at the LABOUR problem, it can be said in a few words, the MODERN Labour Party does not understand working class people, its main support group are city dwellers, University Graduates and nutty WOKE supporters, if Labour is to get back in to the winning lane it needs to ditch the metro elite and reconnect with the working class, otherwise its finished as a political PARTY.

It seems that Sir Keir's taking of responsibility for Labour's disaster in losing the  Hartlepool by-election and other local elections lasted less than 24 hours, thus he has shafted his Deputy, this will cause anger among the LEFT WING of the Party, it will be interesting to see how Ms Rayner reacts to the sacking, it does not look good, the article notes that Ms Rayner is expected to be given another job in the Shadow Cabinet, the sacking will undermine her presence in any JOB.   Sir Keir can not sack Ms Rayner as his Deputy, she was elected by the members, also how will Sir Keir reshuffle the Shadow Cabinet, will he go LEFT OR RIGHT.   In Scotland the SNP has own a fourth term in Government, they will push for a second IndyRef 2, Boris Johnson should say a FIRM NO, make the SNP take the first move, a wild IndyRef 2 would be illegal, lets hope that SNP go for that, the leaders can be arrested or they can go to Brussels, share a flat with Spanish politician who tried that in his region and had go in external exile, the Spanish Police on his tail.  In Wales the good management of the COVID  crisis has been of benefit to the Labour Party, another 5 years of Wales in charge in Cardiff, not that shocking an outcome, SOUTH WALES will always bail them out.  As for the Conservatives it was a great election, winning the by - election, also keeping Conservative Mayors and gaining new councils and councillors.  The results show that 2019 was not a fluke, the Conservatives are the Party of the working class, that is a changes the politics of the UK.

This blog would not be surprised  if the Trumpster turned up for his TRIAL, there is no need for him to attended by the rules of impeachment, but the TRUMP will love the fact that he can take notes and looks the Republican Senators in their eyes, and also to remind these elite voters that his base can either mean a future in the US Senate or a hash been of US politics, only the uber liberal CNN covering what you are going to say.   Those thinking of running in 2024 do not want to Trump angry with them, there might be many candidates, and the Trump base might be the difference between winning and losing.  The American Presidential cycle gets started early by every election, thus candidates might be visiting IOWA and New Hampshire before the 2022 Mid terms.  If and its a BIG IF, the Senate confirms the impeachment then Trump can not seek public office again, his base directed by him might support another candidate, thus who are the 17 Senate Republicans will risk their political career to say GUILT when it comes to Trump.

That was a very fast turn around by the former President, normally it takes a few weeks for a former President and his new staff to get the social media wing open.  Let's remember one thing folks, this is about the Impeachment Trial and the thought that Trump will in run again 2024.  At the trial the Trump team will make it clear  that it will cost for Republican Senators to support a guilty plea, it could be the end of their political careers, a Trumpian wrath is the last thing a Republican Senator needs if he or she are facing re-election in 2022.  Also those thinking about running in 2024 will not want to be seen as knifing the former President after he leaves office, if he is found guilty Trump will never be allowed to run for public office again.  In a odd way it might suit the Democrats to have Trump on the ticket next time, of course that depends if POTUS ( Biden ) runs again, the VP must be looking at 2024 as her chance to be come President.  The political cycle never ends in the US, thank goodness of the US Constitution.

The Biden inaugural address called for UNITY, but for a US President, its problems from abroad that can define a Presidency, just ask Jimmy Carter with Iran and Afghanistan, and even President Obama with his red lines over Syria.  The TV cameras showed one can assume Bill Clinton falling asleep, okay the speech was not up there with JFK, Ronald Reagan or Barack Obama, but it was a decent enough speech.   Even President Obama seem to close his eyes, it could have been the weather. This blog did not watch the Inaugural live, it has watched every such event since 1981, the blogger expected a boring speech and event, and thank goodness it turned out to be that.  The Times of LONDON reported in its hard print version that the North Koreans could test the new Administration with a test of its missile from a sub.  One the one hand the people of North Korea are starving, but the regime is testing sub launch missiles, then Iran will demand that the US lifts some of its sanctions before it goes back to the Obama Iran deal.  As stated by this blog, the Biden Administration will appease Iran, Israel must keep a careful eye on Tehran, if POTUS will not secure the security of Israel then Israel must.  As a wise old UK PM once said to a junior Minister ( there were all men then ) when a junior minister asked what could go wrong, " Events boy, Events ".   Thus the Biden Administration will be challenged from abroad, that could define the Biden Era.

The Trumpster slapped himself on the back for a great Presidency, a one term President, who joins the list of Presidents who failed to win re-election was impeached twice.  If the Biden White House smart it will go in to stealth mode, the US and the World needs a quiet Presidency, the daily rantings from the Trump Oval got the President banned for life from twitter.  The US and the World want a " Quiet " PRESIDENCY without worrying what the President might do on any given day.  The Trump Presidency as noted by Trump will go down in history that it did not get in to foreign wars, great Presidents know who to combine the foreign with the domestic, Reagan lost over 240 + Marines in Lebanon and then invaded Grenada the next day, and as the House Speaker stated in his memoirs he made Lebanon go way as if it never happened.  The US is the leader of  the FREE WORLD, that takes sacrifice, Trump was afraid of the body bags coming home from the fight, that was the part the Democrats never understood, Trump was not planning to invade Iran any time soon, if he was he was talked out of the idea. Thus Trump was a impotent President and thus failed the US and the World.

This is about 2024 for both the Republicans and the Democrats, the Republican who see themselves as nominating material, do not want to face the Trump in the primaries, but on the other hand they do not want their fingerprints on the knife that sends Trump to oblivion, on the other hand the Democrats might think that Trump causing havoc on the Republican side might be good for them, it has been suggested that Biden will be a one term President, as he is pretty old now, four years of the Presidency is tough on a young President, a very old President might suffer more, thus VP Harris will see the nomination is there for the asking, but the Democrat base will want to see Trump face Trial, thus the Democrats have 50 Seats in the Senate, the same as the Republicans, the tie is down to VP Harris to solve.   Thus the Democrats and the Republicans, will be playing a game, who can get rid of Trump and trying to place the blame on the other side, while the other side will be saying, that the Democrats started this, it's there problem to solve.

In the Trump World he must be loving this attention, poor Joe Biden the next President barely gets a mention, and only in the context that he will become President next Wednesday.  The NEW President will want to get his agenda out there, but the Democrats have a problem, if they delay a TRIAL, then Trump can get on the campaign trail to make Republican Senators who might vote to convict face the prospect of a tough Primary and even a general if Trump makes him mind up to get them out of the Senate.  The longer the TRIAL takes the more it helps Trump, he will will be on the TV, well the channels that will allow him on, of course he might start up his own channel to challenge Fox News and a new Social Media App for his followers who are annoyed to say the least that he is BANNED from Twitter.  For the Republican Party it might be a way to shut up Trump for good, if they risk voting for conviction then Trump would be banned from being a candidate in 2024, the fat lady has not sun her final note on the Trumpster.  And of course American voters love a comeback, who to say that will not be Trump who comes back the ultimate  comeback.
