This is Trump's answer for the UK and Europe snubbing him over Iran.  A direct threat for the US to leave NATO and forcing Europe to defend itself against a menacing Russia under Putin.  This just could be Trump being erratic and blowing off steam, or it could be real!!! The Kremlin will be jumping for joy, they have wanted this since the formation of NATO since 1949 under President Truman.  The Congress under Biden made it illegal for the President to do this, the US Senate will never approve such a decision.

One can see an outline of a DEAL, POTUS get his funding, but the Democrats do not help the right wing of the Republican Party get rid of the Speaker, and the deal should include border protection, that might be a hard thing for the left to agree too.  Biden is an old hand at making DEALS, lets  see how the sausage is made on the Hill.   Biden must be aware that funding could be an issue in 2024, he has to stress it through 2024, its about Democracy and defeating Putin in the Ukraine and preventing WW3 over Poland and the Baltic States.  Also Biden needs to get his polls up, otherwise he could lose to Trump, that would be massive disaster to the US and Western Europe.  Its late for the Biden Campaign to get its adverts out, Putin might try to help Trump, by stating he would agree peace terms with Trump in the White House, that might find favour with the US voters.

The Russians might want to end their " Special Military Operation " or WAR in the Ukraine, its the how that is the problem, the Ukraine had made the Russians retreat in the North East of Ukraine, the Russian Army is in a shambolic state, the Russians are even getting those in Jail to sign up, and get paid and have their sentence revoked.  Of course if they back track they are DEAD.  Also Putin wants the homeless to sign up, the Russian Army as stated in in a shambolic state, the Russian Generals would never pass at West Point, the President makes calls to those in the field, not going through the Command structure.  The worry is that Putin will do something drastic, throw a low yield nuclear bomb at the Ukraine, to show how far he will go, that would cause Biden Oval to ACT, US troops could be send in to the Ukraine.  If Putin retreats even from Crimea, then he might find that the General gang up on him, blame him and select a new HARD MAN, someone who might be more dangerous that Putin.  Something is coming, the question is WHAT ?  Only Putin knows and we in the West await.

Trump if he is stuck in the Courts over his business companies would be the worse candidate to take on VP Harris in 2024, does any think that Biden just wants that one term, he does not want to share the same company, Hoover, Carter, Bush 41, Trump, Presidents in the modern ERA who have been defeated when running again.  Thus it can be speculated that Biden will run again, the question is will Trump be in a position to run, as stated a few prosecutors have him in sight, and if they find something, anything that might try to placed the former President on Trial.  Thus the Republican Party needs someone with the charisma of Trump but without the baggage. Thus far thus this blog draws a ZERO when thinking about another candidates.  The political ground will be seen after the 2022 Mid Terms, do the Republicans retake the House or the Senate, thus blocking any Biden Agenda.   Who will be the star of Mid Term, we have two years to wait, interesting time if your a Republican, well a Reagan Republican.

Lets Get Real:

The Israeli side will know that the good times under Trump are over, that Biden whatever he says will try to return to the Obama Nuclear Deal.   Thus the one of the two ACE's that Israel has in the Mid Terms in 2022, the Biden will not want to be seen as a sell out before then.  One can suspect that the Biden Administration is already in secret talks with Tehran to return to the deal, but the Oval knows that if it lifts the Trump sanctions without some concession from Tehran it will be seen as sell out of the first order.   Thus expect Tehran to make a soft concession and for that to be taken by Biden as a way to to revoke the Trump sanctions, this might happen just before or just after the Mid terms.  The Biden Administration will want to see Israel good relationship with the other Arab Countries, this also gives Israel an ACE, Israel and its Arab NOW friends see Iran as a threat, thus the Israelis with the help and assistance of the Gulf States could attack Iran before its secret nuclear planning bears fruit.   The prospect of a nuclear Iran will be to much for Israel and its friends.   This development could lead to a problem for the Biden Oval, does it support ISRAEL or is it critical of Israel, Democrats will be worried that voters will see Biden as a modern Neville Chamberlain, if he sells out Israel.   Also there is the problem of AFGHANISTAN; will Biden who went out of his way to undermine Obama when he was Vice - President when it come to Afghanistan; keep US troops in Kabul or will he do a President Ford, who saw the US runout of South Vietnam;  watch as the last Americans leave Afghanistan by helicopter with the Taliban at the door.  The Biden Administration has not had a foreign policy crisis yet, it will come, they always do.

This blog has assumed that President Biden would be an appeaser, this statement that the Biden Administration will not seek to lift sanctions placed on IRAN by Trump, does not change its argument, people do no change, Biden opposed Obama's Afghanistan policy, and used any negative story to undermine the policy.  Also President Reagan had a dim view of Biden, that he was a demagogue who got the big issues WRONG.  The article states that the US will not have talks with Iran in less it returns to the Obama Agreement, while Tehran has stated that it will not return to talks in less the USA removes all sanctions.  One does not have to be brilliant to see the outcome, back channel talks with Iran, the US not pressing to hard on sanctions and then Tehran using that reason to go back for talks.  At the end Iran will get the bomb, as they will hide any new developments, and Biden will find at the end of his first term that Iran has got the bomb, and Biden will have a massive political problem, and Israel with its allies in the region will have to take action. It as if night follows day, and political experts to miss quote LBJ, will be ramming Iran right up's Biden backside or that of his VP if Biden goes gaga.

This is tough talk from Biden, a man that has never been right when it comes to foreign policy, as Robert Gates, the former Defence Secretary, that Biden has not been right in 40 years when it came to the subject.  President Reagan did not have a high opinion of Biden, in the Cold War days he was seen a a major DOVE and during his time as VP to President Obama, he used all his time to undermine the Obama policy, any negative stories were feed to OBAMA through Biden.  Putin will eat Biden for dinner, and China will just outwait him, one doubts that Biden will run for a 2nd term, he's far to OLD, and the job President does take it out of you, President Obama's great black hair had gone white after eight years in the job, on the other hand President Reagan looked great, so did Bill Clinton to be fair.  In the speech Biden also removed US support for Saudi Arabian action in Yemen, that might come back to haunt Biden, the Saudi's are blocking Iran in Yemen, is of strategic importance to itself and the West.

Let's recall the reason that Trump ran in 2016 was that the felt he had been snubbed and made fun of President Obama at a press dinner.  Thus it is expected that Trump will be found not guilty in his Trial before the Senate, one doubts that there are 17 Republican Senators are ready to face the wrath of the Trump base of the Republican Party.  IT can be argued that Biden has made a mistake, he should have avoided the question, this latest snub by Biden will and could cause Trump to start to visit IOWA and NEW HAMPSHIRE, do not annoy a BEAR with an EGO, who likes to be stroked.

Everything in D.C is political, only 5 Republicans approved of the Trial going on in the first vote on the issue, the Democrats need 17 Republicans to go off the reservation for the impeachment trial to lead to conviction.  Thus the TRIAL is a farce that takes up valuable Biden time to get his Agenda through the US Congress, it an be expected that Trump will make the Trial as messy as he can, and force the Republican in the Senate to justify their votes to their voters.  Thus expected the usual arguments from Trump, that the election was stolen, that D.C swamp is fighting back.  Also it will be a stage for Trump to be critical of Biden, he wont be able to help himself when it comes to the stage, he is an old ham. Politics is politics and does not change that much, also Biden will want to make sure that he does not sink himself before the 2022 Mid terms.

The Biden week has been quiet compared to Trump, and the World is grateful, no endless tweets, non truths been used as truths, on the other hand, the Biden Oval has been accused of using Executive Orders as if they are going out of fashion, the success or not of a President, always comes down to what he or she can get passed by the US Congress, the Democrats have nominal control of the House by 4 votes and 1 vote in the US Senate with the tie breaking vote of the VP.  Biden is an old hand of the US Senate, he does not want to pass a massive liberal spending bill with no Republicans, that would make Democrats a election target in the 2022 Mid Terms, if he has cover with Republican votes then he can share the blame if it does not work.  On foreign policy front the new Secretary of State sounded tough on Iran, but this is cover, Biden has made it clear that he will appease IRAN, it depends how much leg Tehran has to show before Biden returns to the bad deal under Obama.   This blog has always argued you can be liberal or conservative on domestic policy but you have to be tough on Foreign policy, Trump was a DOVE, he stated as did his VP that they were the first Administration in 20 years not to start a War in the Middle East, in that the Democrats miss read Trump in a big way.   But also Trump miss read the American people, the US voter likes what POTUS shows a big stick and reminds the World who in the eagle when it comes to the games of the Great Powers.

So the Democrats will be tough on Russia, in what way, are they going to defend the Eastern part of the Ukraine from Russia action, thus far NOTHING.   Are they going to bring Moscow to a standstill with its own cyber attack, not a good idea, the Russian systems are OLD, one would think, one does not want to start WW3 by accident, you hack something innocent, and it turns out to be the Russian nuclear codes, one never knows with the Russian bear. This is about 2024 for both the Republicans and the Democrats, the Republican who see themselves as nominating material, do not want to face the Trump in the primaries, but on the other hand they do not want their fingerprints on the knife that sends Trump to oblivion, on the other hand the Democrats might think that Trump causing havoc on the Republican side might be good for them, it has been suggested that Biden will be a one term President, as he is pretty old now, four years of the Presidency is tough on a young President, a very old President might suffer more, thus VP Harris will see the nomination is there for the asking, but the Democrat base will want to see Trump face Trial, thus the Democrats have 50 Seats in the Senate, the same as the Republicans, the tie is down to VP Harris to solve.   Thus the Democrats and the Republicans, will be playing a game, who can get rid of Trump and trying to place the blame on the other side, while the other side will be saying, that the Democrats started this, it's there problem to solve.

In the Trump World he must be loving this attention, poor Joe Biden the next President barely gets a mention, and only in the context that he will become President next Wednesday.  The NEW President will want to get his agenda out there, but the Democrats have a problem, if they delay a TRIAL, then Trump can get on the campaign trail to make Republican Senators who might vote to convict face the prospect of a tough Primary and even a general if Trump makes him mind up to get them out of the Senate.  The longer the TRIAL takes the more it helps Trump, he will will be on the TV, well the channels that will allow him on, of course he might start up his own channel to challenge Fox News and a new Social Media App for his followers who are annoyed to say the least that he is BANNED from Twitter.  For the Republican Party it might be a way to shut up Trump for good, if they risk voting for conviction then Trump would be banned from being a candidate in 2024, the fat lady has not sun her final note on the Trumpster.  And of course American voters love a comeback, who to say that will not be Trump who comes back the ultimate  comeback.

POTUS will not resign if he does not want too, but a argument can be made that if he is forced with Impeachment and the Republicans in the Senate going along with it, then he could be forced out and banned from running in 2024.  Trump could take the Nixon option, resign, but before doing that, granting himself and his family a FULL PARDON, in way that would benefit Biden, he does need Trump  clogging up his agenda, one doubts that Biden would allow Trump to face arrest and prison time, once you start that, it sets a precedent, and no POTUS wants that, him or her could be NEXT.  CNNN is loving this, but giving that Trump has given them sword one can not really complain.  Even Nixon knew at the end that he had destroyed himself, Nixon was self aware, that is why he wanted Trump to run for the Oval, one assumes that Tricky Dicky knew that Trump would be a disaster, and his poll ranking would go up a bit, Nixon was no Trump, he did win twice, in 1968 and 1972.

Thus DEMOCRACY is returned to Capitol Hill, the US Congress can get on with its business, one hopes the Republicans will not object to electoral votes, after the storming and death of a woman, this day needs to return to quiet Democracy.  The Trump President will end in 13 days, thank goodness, the Republicans needs to take a hard look at themselves, they need a new leader, yes like Reagan or Bush 43, someone who likes Democracy and will do the work, not someone who lives and breaths through Twitter or the media.  IN this day and age it will be hard, they do not make a lot Reagans or JFK's, it can be assumed that is why they are considered great, their successors are never them, with the exception of Obama for the Democrats, he had charisma and his former VP has won the Presidency even after Obama thought he should not run in 2016, thus the Obama legacy is restored with Biden beating Trump.
