The former VP and the Democratic Nominee is running in 2028, as if that is wise, the simple answer is NO, she is not the most qualified candidate ever, let's see from the modern period, the nuclear age, Truman in 1948, he dropped the bomb on Japan, the only President that has used nuclear weapons, Eisenhower planned D - Day and was a crafty President, he gave the impression that he played golf all the time, his hand was on the tiller so to speak.  Then in 1960 Nixon was the most qualified to be Ike's successor, Vice - President for 8 years and had a great mind, but he lost to the charming JFK.  LBJ has been President for a year before 1964 and was firm supporter of civil right, Senator Barry Goldwater was to right wing, in 1968 Nixon came back and beat LBJ's VP, of the two on cv it was Nixon. Thus Nixon swamped the Democratic Nominee in 1972.   In 1976 Reagan nearly beat President Ford for the nomination but lost by a 100 votes, Ford was beaten by Carter, neither was fit to be President.   In 1980 Reagan beat Carter by 44 States, he had been Governor of California and  and was more suited to being President since 1968, he was a dark horse candidates but lost to Nixon.  In 1984 Reagan beat former VP Mondale by 49 States, 525 Electoral College votes and 59% of the vote.   In 1988, Bush 41 Beat the Democratic Nominee because it was seen as Reagan's third term.  No future President has managed that kind of victory not even Obama.  In 19992 Clinton was the better politician if not the best man for the Presidency.   In 2000 VP Gore lost to Texas Governor Bush 43, either would have been a good fit for the Oval.  The 2004 election saw Bush 43 beat Senator Kerry, he was the better politician and he had been President on 9/11.   The age of Obama came in 2008 when he beat a WAR HERO, ego better than actual President, in 2012 he won re-election even if he had misjudged  Putin.  Thus we come to 2016, the election of Trump 45, he lost in 2020 to better candidate at the time, former VP Biden.   The President made a mistake of running in 2024 and the rest is history.

The Biden Administration has stated there would be further strikes on terrorists after the Iran backed terrorists killed three Americans two weeks ago in Jordan.  The Tehran Regime did not react after the American strikes, will they react NOW, Tehran has been cagey in allowing others to die for their agenda.  Let's hope that the Biden Oval did not warn Iran about this strike, they warned with other strikes. In the Middle East its an eye for an eye, it has been like that for a thousand years, the Israeli Government has just rejected the Hamas Counter offer for a  truce.  The US Secretary of State was hopeful for talks, the US State Department and the FCO in the UK have always been pro Arab, the Secretary of State in the Truman Administration did not want to recognise Israel as a STATE, the US President Harry S Truman over ruled  him.   The Biden Oval cannot trust the State Department and the same for the UK.  The US and the UK cannot force Israel to accept a Palestinian State that would be a THEAT TO ISRAEL.  The State of Israel must be allowed to kill off Hamas in Gaza, then we can have talks.

WHEN the WHITE HOUSE Press Secretary is covering for the Taliban it shows the White House is out of its depth, a President who looked and acted tired at his press conference, expected the press to be nice to him, held his folder as if live preserver.  If the Biden White House trusted the Taliban with a list of name of those that worked for the allies, it shows they do understand the situation and are more dangerous than Donald Trump.  Any other President, Harry S. Truman, JFK or Ronald Reagan would have done more, increased the presence of the US outside the KABUL AIRPORT, dare the Taliban to stop them.  Thus the US would have been in charge of those coming in to airport at the outer ring.  The fact the US Military trusted the Taliban is a concern, also the US military gave the Oval a get out of jail card by stating that they didn't need more military, of course they don't, this Biden evac was crazy from the start, also the recall the lessons of Vietnam.

Thus POTUS has trashed the FBI, it suspects US intelligence when it comes to Russian actions during the 2016 Presidential Election, he has sexual allegations against him and now he supports Judge Roy Moore.  POTUS has no decency or class, no other President, Democrat or Republican would come out to support someone like Moore, what is Trump thinking, correction we know what he is thinking, he wants another vote in the US Senate.  This blog was willing to give Trump a chance, and he has done nothing to earn that trust, let us hope that the Democrats take the House in 2018 and start impeachment President Trump.  FDR,Truman, JFK,  Reagan must be looking down in disgust, their Oval is losing its moral authority.

The 2016 US Presidential Election will go down in history, it was not meant to end like it did, it recalls that famous photo of President Truman showing the headline from a newspaper that stated that he had lost the election, he of course had won.   In 1960 there was the close election between Kennedy and Nixon, and the iffy ballots in two States, in 2000 Gore should have won but he lost Florida and did not win his own home State.   In 2016 nearly ALL the polls showed that Hillary Clinton would win, and become the first woman President.  Well in the end Trump won the rust belt States.  As a contributor on CNN stated that DATA does not vote, the Clinton Campaign thought it understood the election process and how to engage the voter, through tracking mass data, it was bad mistake to make.   The LIBERAL LEFT will always blame the Russians, or the FBI, what they can not see and refuse to see is the FACT that HRC was a bloody bad candidate, she thought she was owed the Oval Office by right, in fact the US voter said NO, and they said that NO in the rust belt States, thus the electoral college win of Trump.

This blog does not quite agree with the above, there have been teflon Presidents before, one only has to think of JFK, and how the press covered up his affairs at the White House and out.   There is also Ronald Reagan, the original teflon President, nothing ever stuck to the Gipper, yes there was Iran - Contra but his VP, Bush 41 won the Presidency in 1988, it was seen as a Reagan third term.   The we come to slick willy, the classic Bill Clinton, the voter knew in 1992 that he was a draft dodger, liked women, and other numerous flaws, he liked to eat to much!!  Donald Trump main asset is HIS money, a fool does not have the assets of ten BILLION.   Also he is seen as anti Washington, and the US after eight years of Obama wants a real outsider as POTUS.    Thus when will Trump self implode, lets hope its before the elections of 2016, a politically damaged Trump elected would be a disaster, even President Underwood would be better, and he is a DEMOCRAT.

Ever since the Reagan Presidency ALL 2nd Term Presidents have wanted to be a Reagan, the one that got close was Bill Clinton, thus how does this blog grade 2nd termers, simple really, who is their successor, in the case of Reagan it was Bush 41, this showed that the Reagan Era had the support of a majority of Americans, if not then the Democratic nominee would have won the election.   This blog would argue that Clinton got close because his VP, AL Gore won the popular vote but lost his home State, if he had kept a eye on his own State as President Clinton told him then he would have won the Presidency.   Both Presidents, Reagan and Clinton had a VP who wanted to run after them and they supported their VP for the top job.   That is not always the case, lets recall the famous or infamous remark by President Eisenhower when reporters asked him what had Nixon done in the two terms, the President stated if they gave him a week he would think of something, hardly helpful.   But at least Eisenhower, Reagan and Clinton were not afraid to have  a VP who wanted the job, both  Bush 43 and Obama had Vice Presidents that were not a threat to them in the long term, they would not go off the reservation if it helped them in political terms.   Both Bush 41 and Gore needed some distance between themselves and the boss, with Bush 41 it was Iran - Contra and with Gore it was the affair that Bill Clinton had with an intern, the added problem for Gore was the view that Clinton was a negative on the campaign trail, that was not the case with Reagan.    Thus they ALL want to be the Gipper, few get close but none are really the Gipper. 

41% Job Approval for POTUS - Gallup

Lets Get Real: 

Lets look how other 2nd Term Presidents stood at this time in Office, President Reagan had a 63% Approval rating, while President Clinton was on 56%, while Bush 43 was on 43%.   Both Reagan and Clinton go in to trouble in the 2nd year of their 2nd term, while Bush 43 had Iraq through out, the President said of late that since he was low in the polls there was only one way to go, that was up, that is BAD strategic planning, a great US President Harry S. Truman had a 32% approval rating at the end of his term in office, lets recall he had to deal with the Korean War, while Nixon due to Watergate was on 24% Approval, that must include his family and the White House Staff. While the last two term President, Bush 43 had a approval rating of 34%.    President Obama can go lower, he should not allow his ego to get in the way of making a strategic comeback, otherwise he could find that the last three years are the most fraught of his life.  It odd but the two Presidents who looked good as in physical shape at the end of their terms were Reagan and Clinton, they enjoyed the Office and would have run for 3rd term if allowed, the rest even Bush 43 could not wait to get OUT.

This is what GIVES politics a bad name folks, it was COUP, a military coup, but it was a coup that was needed to protect Egyptian democracy for the long term, it was in the interest of Egypt and the West for Morsi to be ousted.  If the US blocks its grant of 1.5 billion it will have no influence in Egypt, even worse the Russians could come in to offer military support and  money, Obama could not afford to have the Republicans throw the charge that Obama had lost Egypt, as Truman was accusing of losing China at the end of the 1940s.   Thus the Oval is right not to use the term COUP, Egypt can not afford to be lost, also the Egyptian Army did the Oval favour by getting rid of Morsi, as the Muslim Brotherhood was a threat to Israel in the long term, this is when Obama gets his hands dirty, he can not blame Bush 43, Egypt could be his Iraq, not in losses of troops but in how the US is looked upon by the rest of the World, liberals who support Obama, will have to twist the English language  as to keep supporting the Oval, Obama is doing what every President has done, with the exception of Carter, support the suppression of democracy for US interests, well Obama wanted the job, well here comes the dirty part, that liberals hate, and Conservatives realised is the REAL WORLD.

Folks the idea must cause horror even in the Oval, that Al Qaeda gets the credit for getting rid of President Assad, that is nightmare for Syria, Israel and the US, it would be a disaster for US Foreign Policy, if Secretary Kerry wants to show a backbone he should march in to the OVAL and demand that POTUS arms Western supporting rebels in Syria, the present support of non arms is not working, if Syria goes for  friendly Al Qaeda Government and the secular Government of Pakistan falls to the Taliban of Pakistan after the US leaves Afghanistan in 2014 the West is in a World of hurt and so is the Oval.  Lets recalls that the Truman Administration was blamed for years by the Republicans for losing China to the Communists, Obama can not afford to let that happen to Syria and Pakistan.    What ever a US President wants, is not what he gets to deal with most of the time, the Oval wants to take the US to the left, but the World does not care for the wants of ego mad US President, yes that is President Obama,  a crisis defines the Oval, not the many views of the OVAL, thus Syria matters folks, so does Iran, and its about time the Oval grew up and fast.  Its not the great liberal reforms of the Great Society that LBJ is recalled for folks, its for Vietnam, time that Oval did a course on foreign policy and not be marked on a curve, time for reality to get through to the Oval.

As the US has to worry about its close Middle East allies of Israel and Turkey, IF and its a big IF the Assad Regime uses chemical weapons and these weapons hit Israel or Turkey by accident or on purpose as to draw in the US and unite the Syrian people against the West.   It would be Assad calling Obama's bluff, does the Assad Regime think that POTUS does not have the political courage to take action after the disaster that is Libya, if your in Damascus you have to think that Obama might give the green light to drone strikes but taking on Syria is something else, it would take US ground troops, the 2nd Obama term would be over before it started, lets recall that great US President Harry Truman had his poll numbers tank after the War in Korea started.  Also look what happened to Bush 43 after the Iraq War, the US left would go bonkers and Obama's domestic aims would be destroyed should he try to take ground action in Syria, also the Syria Regime has an air force and is supported by Iran.    Thus a no fly zone would not be enough, there would have to be ground troops, do you see Obama putting in ground troops. 

The Polls - 2012 US Election

BBC News: Reports on the average of the latest polls in the US Presidential Election, the latest is a tied race, both President Obama and Governor Romney on 49%.

Lets Get Real:

Honesty is the best policy folks, this blog is looking for a 2000 or 2004 type race, in 2004 it was down to Ohio, as it could be this year, as of now one would have to give Ohio to POTUS, nearly all the polls have him tied or leading in the State.   On the other hand, if its really close race we could see Court Cases as in 2000, even the US Supreme Court coming in to play, that would be fun.   This blog has called the race for Obama, the fun for this blog as stated is looking at the final result and which Pollster got it right.    Lets hope this is not 1948, a lot of us would have big egg on our faces, voters do not to that, it would show that you have been laying through your back teeth or ALL pollsters are bent.   That is the fun of politics folks. 

North Korean THREAT

Telegraph: Reports that the Stalinist North Korean Regime has threatened severe punishment should its ICB rocket be destroyed. As the articles notes both South Korea and Japan have placed their forces on alert and will shoot down the rocket should it go over their air space. This is a powder keg ready to go off folks, its only needs a mistake by the North Koreans to cause a regional War, if your South Korea or Japan and this rocket is a threat you have to take action, lets hope the North Koreans technicians are good and this missile does not go off course, the Oval does not want a new Korean War.

Telegraph Live - Iowa: Reports that former Republican frontrunner, the former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich had some tough words for his opponent Governor Romney, he stated he was with Reagan when he defeated the USSR, while Romney was on the left. The former House Speaker has a point, the Governor stated in one of his Mass Elections that he was not part of the Reagan/Bush crowd. Its on tape, hard to run away from, but even the Gipper was a Democrat, people can make mistakes, lets not forget that the Gipper in 1948 used to introduce the then President, Harry Truman in his election bid of 1948. Its odd but to my knowledge no one never used that against Reagan.

Gingrich TIED with Romney in New Hampshire - Republican Race

WSJ: Reports on a new poll in New Hampshire of Republican voters, the race is a virtual tie, with Romney on 29% and Gingrich on 27%. If the former Speaker could win Iowa and New Hampshire this would the best political comeback since Truman, but can Newt Gingrich not implode as has been the fate of past front runners, Parry, Cain. It is only seven weeks in till the Iowa Caucus folks, if Gingrich can mount a decent field operation and win or come close he has a good chance to take on Romney on his home field of New Hampshire. The close fight causes problems for the Obama team, they had thought that their opposition would be Mitt Romney, thus the early attacks on him, as following the Clinton handbook of 1996. But they just might have to wait, this helps the Republicans, they seem to taken on Reagan’s 11 rule of not attacking fellow Republicans and attacking Obama. There is a CNN debate on Tuesday folks, that Wednesday morning UK time, lets see who wins that and if any other candidates can make an impression.

Jobs and Obama

What POTUS leaves out is the fact that the Republicans had Democratic support in blocking Obama. The President states the point of the plan, “ Every Senate Republican voted to block a bill that would help middle class families and keep hundreds of thousands of firefighters on the job, police officers on the streets, and teachers in the classroom when our kids need them most. ”. It shows how hollow the rhetoric is from the Oval, none of the jobs are in the private sector, Obama is just pandering to his base again, that is not being leader, does he watch the news from Greece, the public sector is going to take hit, if liberal or left wing politicians cant see that they are fools. This is about 2012 folks, even Obama states that in his own way, “ So the choice is clear. Our fight isn’t over. ”. The problem is someone has told Obama he is the next Harry Truman, sorry folks that is BS, is Obama so much in the bubble he cant see the real world any more, it can happen folks, but normally takes two terms for that effect to show in the Oval.

The Obama Jobs Plan

The speech was typical class warfare folks, Obama wants to tax the rich to pander to his liberal base, the august Joint Session of Congress was used as a political theatre. If Obama wants to play political games then the Republicans should pass the popular tax cuts and then say no to the rest, force Obama to come out of tax hikes, that might go down well with the liberal New York Times, but it wont work in a re-election year. The political opinion is that Obama wants the House to say No so he can argue in 2012 that he is running against a do nothing Congress, aka Harry Truman in 1948, the problem for POUTS is he is no Truman, the House Republicans were elected to say NO to Obama, after he passed ObamaCare, Democrats are having flashbacks if they think this trick would work with Obama as the nominee, this is blog is close to calling this election NOW, and it would be negative for Obama, lets see what other tricks Obama has, they better be good, otherwise he wont be Truman, he will be Walter Mondale.
