Trump on the Democrats - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

Thus the Washington D.C shutdown was a win for the Republicans, moderate Democrats caved and forced the Party to go along.   As stated in previous post the liberal base will be up in arms, they see that the Shutdown did not last long enough to hurt the Republicans and Trump.  Also as stated that running for the 2020 nomination voted no to re- opening the government, thus any moderates or right wingers have no chance in the Democratic Party.  As for DACA, the Democrats are fickle friends, the Democrats only got agreement for their to be a discussion, no promise on the result or if the House would go along.  In essence a pointless two days. 

The LIBERAL base of the Democratic Party - Trump Era

The LIBERAL base of the Democratic Party will not be happy, Senator Schumer will have been seen to blink when faced with polls showing that the Democrats were being blamed by the US voters when it came to the shutdown, it never looks good when you support giving something to illegal immigrants at the cost of those born and bread in the US.  As CNN noticed those who are thinking of running in 2020 did not vote for the Bill, they know how important the base is when coming to running for the nomination.   It can be said that Trump was a great deal maker, he knew when to walk away and let the Congressional leaders solve the problem without promising anything in return. 

The Democrats and the SHUTDOWN - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

The Democrats caved, they closed the government down for nothing, the Republican Senate leadership did not promise that the DACA bill would pass and it has no say on what the Republicans say in the HOUSE.  One can assume that Speaker Ryan will come under pressure from the Conservatives in the Republican Party not to take up any bill on DACA from the Senate, it depends on what President Trump says about the issue.   Will the Trump Oval give cover to House Republicans to vote for DACA, it is seen as amnesty by the more Conservative element, and Trump won the Republican nomination and the Presidency based on his anti immigration views.  The next few weeks will be interesting.

US Government Shutdown Part 3 - Trump Era

CNN - Live Reporting: Reports the following in a recent post, " All sides — Senate and House; Democrats and Republicans — believe we're heading toward a shutdown at the moment. Barring some dramatic change in the dynamic in the next 12 hours or so, the government will shut down late tonight. "

Lets Get Real:

Whatever the liberal press throw up, welfare cheques not being sent, Government offices closed down, thus delay in getting a passport, National Parks closed, etc, the Trump Oval and the Republicans have to be firm, they can not be blackmailed, because if the Republicans go weak and grant concessions to the Democrats they will be blackmailed again over something else.  The Republicans have to have a firm and united message, the Democrats care more for illegal Democrats that legal Americans, also the Dems are party of different interest groups, thus can not be trusted to Govern.

The President should use his infamous Twitter account to make sure that the Democrats take the blame for the Government shutdown, the liberal New York Times and the extreme liberal CNN will of course blame the Trump Oval, the Republicans have to keep their nerve, make it clear every hour and day that the US Government is closed that it is down to the Democrats.   The Trump Oval has to argue that the closed down US Government is a benefit to the rogue nations, who might try something while the Government is closed.  The Democrats might lose the PR WAR.

The last US Government shutdown was in 2013 under Barack Obama, the Republicans NOW control both the Congress and the White House, they must make sure that any blame for the shutdown lands on the doormat of the Democrats.   The liberal left in the Democratic Party is pushing for the Democrats to shutdown the Government if they do not get a deal on DACA.   The Republicans should allow the Government to close, they should state that they will not be blackmailed by the liberal left.  In the message battle the Trump Oval should use its Twitter feed to dig and dig at the Democrats on the HILL.   The Democrats should be careful that they do not overplay their hand.

Think about this US voter, the main stream media wants to impeach Trump, and every day its the Russian matter or the lack of press answers, the liberal culture is having a go at Trump every day and the Republicans are still winning.   The MSM does not understand its viewers, they might notice its uber liberal reporting, but it does not mean they  trust it, CNN is constant anti Trump, if Trump discovered the cure for cancer they would run a hit job on the story. The late night comedy talk show hosts take the micky out of Trump ever night, but Republicans still win.  The is a cultural divide and age divide, Senator Sanders has made a connection to the young, but he is seen as far to LEFT WING, the joke being that he went on honeymoon to the USSR and never came back!!  The HRC campaign could never find its message, thus its loss.  In 2017 Jeremy Corbyn connected to the young, but he still lost, the extremes on both side of the Atlantic do not represent the whole, the moderates have to find a way of winning without the extreme right or left.   That is main question of this decade. 

Speaker Ryan and his House Failure - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

IF this is the best that Speaker Ryan can come up with the Republicans need a new Speaker of the House, a strong Speaker should be able to get his PARTY to support any major policy of the President if the President is the leader of that Party.    A WEAK leader allows this kind of mess, the members in some respects should be afraid of the Speaker, he decides who gets what Committee jobs, and who is in the leadership of the House.   It might be time for Trump to find a new Conservative Speaker, a strong leader, a leader who will put the fear the God OR Voter in to members.  As stated the White House should now go on to tax cuts or defence build up, that has worked in the past. 

House Leadership BLAMES Conservatives - Trump Era

Fox News - Live Reporting: Reports that Speaker Ryan  " ..seems to lay the blame at the feet of the Freedom Caucus. He says some of their members were willing to vote for the bill, but not enough. "

The Conservative members of the House who said NO to repealing and replacing ObamaCare will have to justify their votes to their conservative voters.   One can see the Trump White House leaving ObamaCare to fall apart, the Republicans will not grant quick fixes for Democrats, so Democrats will still have ObamaCare on their back, and when it falls, in part apart due to the insurance companies leaving the market or the costs going through the roof the Democrats will be asked for solutions.   The Trump White House should now go on to TAX CUTS, that should unite all Republicans.

Thus the left and liberal elites will come out against any change to ObamaCare, they do not care if it is falling apart, they just want to PROTECT the Obama Agenda.   The Republicans in the House and Senate should pass the replacement bill before the recess.   The reason is simple the Democrats will make sure that when members go home they will face trained left wing opponents in their local District and State meetings.    The Democrats do not play fair, thus the Republicans should push the new bill through, what is fair for the Dems is fair for the Republicans.

This blog would argue that the US voter will not care who pays for the bloody Wall as long as a Wall is built, then the US can have real immigration reform and the granting of amnesty to those US illegally, all rights, but with the exception of voting, they did come through the back door.   Also the Trump Administration could tax US companies that have moved business to Mexico as a way to pay for the Wall, one has seen of late a lot of companies deciding to stay in THE US rather than pay any tax for goods being bought from Mexico for sale in the US. 

ObamaCare Part 2 - Trump Era

The Hill: Reports " House Republicans are planning to get an ObamaCare repeal bill on President-elect Trump's desk by Feb. 20, while the administration moves forward with executive actions to start unwinding ObamaCare on day one. "

Lets Get Real:

The Republicans have to make sure that they do not let the Democrats off the hook, the policy of ObamaCare is owned by the Democrats, thus any repeal and replacement has to be done without any cost to the Republicans.   As stated the Democrats will stall, the Oval Office under Trump must make any stalling cost the Democrats.   The US voter has rejected ObamaCare, it will fail by itself, thus the Republicans must avoid taking any of the blame and make sure that Dems take ALL the blame for Obama's main domestic victory.

The blog hopes that the Democrats keep Pelosi as their leader, then the Mid Terms in 2018 will be a walk over for the Republicans.   As an extreme liberal Pelosi is not liked in Conservative States, one does wonder when the Democrats will have the guts to have new leadership.   There needs to be shake up in the Democratic Party, it has to get over the Clintons and move on, otherwise it could be a VERY LONG four years or eight years of Trump.  The USA needs two political parties that have a chance of getting elected.

The Republican Party elite have started to throw their support for the Donald, they have SOLD out the American people for Party unity.   On the other side the heart of the Democratic Party is with Senator Sanders but they are stuck with Hillary Clinton, the US voter dislikes both of them but is stuck with them, this blog is advising any one that will listen that they have to support HRC, she wants to lead the West, while the Trump wants to isolate the US and give Russia a free run in the Baltics and Eastern Europe.  VOTE HRC. 

Jeb Bush on Trump - Election 2016

This after the Primary fight it is a surprise, one would have thought that Jeb Bush would have been on the Trump short list for VP.   One can see why Jeb Bush has done this, Trump was less than flattering of Jeb Bush and has been critical of Bush 43 when it comes to Iraq.   The Republican Establishment, the elite leaders can see themselves doing deals with Hillary Clinton, while Trump is a unknown, has has never been elected Office and his game book would be different from theirs.   One does wonder will Senator Rubio now be considered for the VP spot on a Trump ticket. 

The New House Speaker - Speaker Ryan

The problem was that Speaker Boehner made to many deals with the Oval Office and these deals were seen as negative by the Conservative members of the House.  Thus this is the chance of Speaker Ryan to take the fight to President Obama and the Democrats, if need be closed down the government, make the Democrats the issue, the liberal elite press always give a pass to Obama, well the Republicans should go after the welfare state in the US, its is costing trillions and the US can no longer afford it,  the US has to CUT welfare, the Democrats will fight, they need BIG GOVERNMENT, well lets see what happens when the Country does not fall apart if the government closes down.   Time for action, time for Republicans to be Republicans, not lighter Democrats.  Lets hope Speaker Ryan gets the message. 

Paul for 2016 ?- Presidential Election 2016

The election cycle in the US started the day after President Obama had his 2nd Inauguration, the Presidents 2nd term in political terms has about six months or less to get anything real and important through the Congress, thus Immigration Reform needs a push, otherwise political pressure will start to mean that those in Congress thinking about running in 2016 will start to court Republican Primary voters, and they are quite Conservative.  As for the Democrats they have a problem, ObamaCare starts to come in to force this year, and its enforced by the IRS, the very same IRS under a scandal cloud for its attack on Tea Party and Republican supporters.    The leading candidate for the Democrats is former First Lady, Senator and of late the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary has a problem, that is called LIBYA, the House Republicans will go after her for her actions the night of the murder of the US Ambassador in Libya, it looks like the White House is starting to throw Hillary Clinton under the bus, although Clinton has very high approval ratings NOW, polls go and up and down, thus folks its quite an open race in 2016 on the Republican and Democratic side, one can not wait for those match up polls, the margin of error etc, fun times   ahead folks. 

The 2014 Mid Terms, NOW - 2014

Thus folks, the Oval wants to retake the House in 2014 as it will allow Obama to push his welfare agenda before 2016, those Democrats and Republicans that want to replace President Obama in 2017 will want to see what effect the Oval has on the House and Senate races.  If President Obama can retake the House and increase the Democratic control of the Senate this might increase the chances that VP Biden might run, yes folks, they are that out of it, on the other hand should the Republicans keep the House and narrow the difference with Democrats in the Senate the Clinton Camp might decide its the right time to place some distance between Hillary Clinton and President Obama.    Thus expect a book on her time as Secretary of State not to be that great about the Oval should Syria and North Korea develop in to major crisis points in the 2nd Obama term.   On the Republican side should the Republicans doe well in 2014 then expect former Governor Jeb Bush to consider 2016, the question is the US ready for a Bush 45, also hot on the heels of Bush will be Governor Christie of NJ, a larger than life character who has that common touch, and does not have a father or brother who were Presidents.   Its early folks, but not to early, 2014 starts now, let the polls start. 

The Closing Stages - 2012 US Election

The blog on the whole does not agree with the uber liberal NYT when it comes to most things, but on this occasion their blogger is right, Romney was no Reagan, this year was not 1980 again!  In many ways this a repeat of 2004 when Bush 43 beat Senator Kerry by winning the State of Ohio.    For Republicans it is time to start looking at 2016, never to early folks, one has to say that the front runners are Governor Christie of NJ and Rep. Ryan.   The US election cycle never ends folks. 

Paul Ryan Speech - Review

BBC News: Reports the speech by the Republican VP Nominee Paul Ryan has been challenged on its accuracy.

Lets Get Real:

In other words folks the speech was great, when the BBC types start to parrot some of the arguments of the Democrats and get in to the weeds about Medicare you know that the Oval has a problem, the Ryan speech has some great lines, how in essence Obama is full of hot air, as in rhetoric but lacks leadership, also how young graduates have been failed by POTUS, stuck in their old rooms at home, wondering when their life's will start. Thus a good kick in the butt for Obama and a good spring board for Governor Romney tonight. Advice to Governor, keep it simple and direct, do not try to be Obama, the ONE will be on show next week at the Democratic National Convention, full of elite media praise, thus Romney has to look the American people in the eye and tell them the truth.
