The revised and amended plan will go down like the Titanic with the US, Trump has shown his true colours, he is a Russian puppet, if Kyiv does not give land concessions in the Donbas or cap its forces, this won't fly with Moscow, the Europeans want to be part of the process, thus we come to the Coalition of the willing, in this case the UK,France and Germany, they want solid security guarantees from the US, in Treaty form, the MAGA supporters will oppose that kind of Treaty, expect a negative reaction from the US and Russia.  What security guarantees will Europe give, this is the time for Europe to show its collective power.

Titanic Sub Update Part 3 - Tragic END of the Titan - Titanic Story

I think it is safe to say that hope is over, it looks like the Titan imploded on the way down to the Titanic.  The US Coast Guard will give a press conference at 8pm UK time.  Our thoughts and prays are with those lost and their families.  There will be future dives to the Titanic, its the Titanic after all.  There needs to be a legal code for future Sub divas, the subs have to reach certain industry standards.   In 1898 a fiction book was published about the largest passenger liner going down after hitting an iceberg.  The Titanic was sunk by a iceberg in 1912, it was finally found in 1985, 73 years later.  The name of the Ship in the fiction book was Titan, the Gods only give one warning, us humans never listen.  This blog will be honest, if offered a trip down to the Titanic it would go, its the Titanic after all.

The Titan has about 20 hours of oxygen left, the noises could be from the Titanic itself its rusty down there and it is being eaten by deep sea creatures.  It is estimated that the air on the Titan will run out at 9.00am UK time ( Updated from Sky News - 12.08pm, ) of course one hopes for the best and that the crew and passengers are alive and well.  That is the hope, after 9am ( 12.08pm ) tomorrow the clock will start to look at how long it is a rescue mission and then a recovery mission to to get the Titan up and those that might have perished.  Of course keeping hope, but the Titan sub might never be found, it might take years, there will be other dives on the Titanic, they might find it, then what!! One prays for the passengers and crew of the sub and their families, but one has to be real.

One still has hope that the Titan will be found with the passengers and crew safe.  The tone of the coverage has moved to the more realistic, they sub has only 41 hours of air left, and finding it will be down to luck, also how do they bring it up, what I DO NOT want to hear from the Americans is the term unified command, it shows that the Americans want to someone else to get the blame if this turns in to a tragedy.  One has to say it, it does not look good, and what point to the various ships just give up, if the passengers and crew run out of air, do the ships stay, its costs to have the ships out there, does the UN ban any more trips, in less for science or to pick up the artefacts still out there, does the UN have that authority is a open question, and who would enforce it.   This blog hopes for the best, but one must always tell truth in this blog, it looks like you can add 5 more to the Titanic death ledger.

One can pray that the Sub is found safely with the crew and passengers on board, but one has to think of a tragic outcome, the Titanic is three miles down and it almost a norm of people visiting the Wreck after it was found in the 1980s and the Box Office smash film of the same name.   That it has become the norm, is the problem, its a burial site after all, some things are best left alone.  If a tragedy has occurred it is  a remainder of the myth of the Titanic, a ship that could not sink and was sank by an iceberg in 1912, 1,500 lives lost to the ice waters of the Atlantic.

The UK Cabinet is divided and is leaking like the Titanic, and only a few lifeboats left, the PM has to decide who she can annoy and how much damage they can do to her and the UK.   In this view of this blog the PM has only one real choice, she needs to sack the Chancellor, he is a moaning remainer, also he is very boring and does not have much support on the Conservative backbenches, while sacking the Foreign Secretary could cause more problems, it would be seen as a victory for the remainers.  The PM can not go on like this she needs to find her inner Lady Thatcher, she should ask herself what would the Iron Lady do in such a event.

As the internal polls show for NH when it comes to honesty the HRC has a major problem, those that voted and stated that this was important to them went over 90% for Senator Sanders.  The Clinton email scandal is like an iceberg that hit the Titanic, it can not be fixed as it would lead to Court Case for HRC, so the fix is in, the FBI will be told not to find anything, in fact the White House Press Secretary stated that as far as he knew there was no case to answer, thus the signal has been sent.   Even if the FBI did say that there was a case to answer the Obama DOJ would thrown it to the bottom draw, just do nothing!! By the end HRC will be in the White House and the matter will be over, politics is harsh business sometimes, those in power protect their friends.

The White House: Here are some of the remarks by President Obama on ObamaCare, " ..the new website where people can apply for health insurance, and browse and buy affordable plans in most states –- hasn't worked as smoothly as it was supposed to work.  And the number of people who have visited the site has been overwhelming, which has aggravated some of these underlying problems....But before I do that, let me remind everybody that the Affordable Care Act is not just a website.  It's much more.  For the vast majority of Americans -- for 85 percent of Americans who already have health insurance through your employer or Medicare or Medicaid -– you don’t need to sign up for coverage through a website at all....But the problem has been that the website that’s supposed to make it easy to apply for and purchase the insurance is not working the way it should for everybody.  And there’s no sugarcoating it.  The website has been too slow, people have been getting stuck during the application process.  And I think it’s fair to say that nobody is more frustrated by that than I am -- precisely because the product is good, I want the cash registers to work.  I want the checkout lines to be smooth.  So I want people to be able to get this great product.  And there’s no excuse for the problems, and these problems are getting fixed.

But while we’re working out the kinks in the system, I want everybody to understand the nature of the problem.  First of all, even with all the problems at HealthCare.gov, the website is still working for a lot of people -- just not as quick or efficient or consistent as we want.  And although many of these folks have found that they had to wait longer than they wanted, once they complete the process they’re very happy with the deal that’s available to them...we are doing everything we can possibly do to get the websites working better, faster, sooner.  We’ve got people working overtime, 24/7, to boost capacity and address the problems.  Experts from some of America’s top private-sector tech companies who, by the way, have seen things like this happen before, they want it to work.  They're reaching out.  They're offering to send help.  We’ve had some of the best IT talent in the entire country join the team.  And we’re well into a “tech surge” to fix the problem.  And we are confident that we will get all the problems fixed....while the website will ultimately be the easiest way to buy insurance through the marketplace, it isn’t the only way.  And I want to emphasize this.  Even as we redouble our efforts to get the site working as well as it’s supposed to, we’re also redoubling our efforts to make sure you can still buy the same quality, affordable insurance plans available on the marketplace the old-fashioned way -- offline, either over the phone or in person.  And, by the way, there are a lot of people who want to take advantage of this who are more comfortable working on the phone anyway or in person.  So let me go through the specifics as to how you can do that if you’re having problems with the website or you just prefer dealing with a person.   Yesterday, we updated the website’s home page to offer more information about the other avenues to enroll in affordable health care until the online option works for everybody.  So you’ll find information about how to talk to a specialist who can help you apply over the phone or to receive a downloadable application you can fill out yourself and mail in.  We’ve also added more staff to the call centers where you can apply for insurance over the phone.  Those are already -- they've been working.  But a lot of people have decided first to go to the website.  But keep in mind, these call centers are already up and running.  And you can get your questions answered by real people, 24 hours a day, in 150 different languages.  The phone number for these call centers is 1-800-318-2596.  I want to repeat that -- 1-800-318-2596.  Wait times have averaged less than one minute so far on the call centers, although I admit that the wait times probably might go up a little bit now that I've read the number out loud on national television.  But the point is the call centers are available.  You can talk to somebody directly and they can walk you through the application process.  And I guarantee you, if one thing is worth the wait, it’s the safety and security of health care that you can afford, or the amount of money that you can save by buying health insurance through the marketplaces.  Once you get on the phone with a trained representative, it usually takes about 25 minutes for an individual to apply for coverage, about 45 minutes for a family.  Once you apply for coverage, you will be contacted by email or postal mail about your coverage status. 

But you don't have to just go through the phone.  You can also apply in person with the help of local navigators -– these are people specially trained to help you sign up for health care, and they exist all across the country, or you can go to community health centers and hospitals.  Just visit LocalHelp.HealthCare.gov to find out where in your area you can get help and apply for insurance in person.   And finally, if you’ve already tried to apply through the website and you’ve been stuck somewhere along the way, do not worry.  In the coming weeks, we will contact you directly, personally, with a concrete recommendation for how you can complete your application, shop for coverage, pick a plan that meets your needs, and get covered once and for all.

So here’s the bottom line.  The product, the health insurance is good.  The prices are good.  It is a good deal.  People don’t just want it; they’re showing up to buy it.  Nobody is madder than me about the fact that the website isn’t working as well as it should, which means it’s going to get fixed.   And in the meantime, you can bypass the website and apply by phone or in person.  So don’t let problems with the website deter you from signing up, or signing your family up, or showing your friends how to sign up, because it is worth it.  It will save you money.  If you don't have health insurance, if you’ve got a preexisting condition, it will save you money and it will give you the security that your family needs.

In fact, even with the website issues, we’ve actually made the overall process of buying insurance through the marketplace a lot smoother and easier than the old way of buying insurance on your own.  Part of the challenge here is that a lot of people may not remember what it’s like to buy insurance the traditional way.  ".

The Democrats and the left wing elite media are almost having a mental breakdown folks, they are acting as if the US is the Titanic; it should be noted that it took the Titanic some time to go down; the US WILL NOT default, tax revenue is coming in, this can be used to pay bond holders, what it will do is force Democrats to get the FACT, that the PARTY is over, their spending is sending future generations of Americans in to the work house, NO Country can afford a future 20 trillion debt, even China sooner or later will stop buying US bonds, as they will be worthless.   This is the chance for the Republicans to reform the US Budget and debt ceiling.    President Obama does not care what happens in the future, he will be out in 2017, the next President will have to take apart welfare to keep the US on dry land.  The Republicans should not allow the Democrats to get away with their daft spending, thus NO CR or DEBT ceiling raise in till the Oval talks, Obama wanted the job, as they said in the classic TV series FAME, here is where you start paying, well time for the Oval to pay for its ambition and its spending.   Politics is tough folks, as are the arts.

This is the last thing that the Clinton Camp needs, it faces problems of the lack of action by Secretary Clinton when the US Consulate in Libya was attacked by terrorists, there are doubts about the information that Secretary Clinton gave to the US Congress, how much she knew and when, now this, these cover ups cover serious illegal actions, the Clinton Camp in pure political terms needs to put this fire out, even the Titanic sank folks due to enough holes under the water, one can guess that those that want to oppose Hillary Clinton in 2016 will be making sure that all these scandals lead to the Clinton Camp, the lack of Hillary Clinton dealing with these scandals shows why she lost the 2008 Democratic race to President Obama, she is not Bill, she is not that good a politician, thus ends the hope of Hillary and Bill Clinton to return to the White House, it is that serious folks.

It has been said that the Conservative Party has learned from Blair Era how to deal with personal scandals, well the basics are get ahead of the story, control the narrative, get every one on the same page, and get all the information out, this means not allowing this kind of scandal to grow, it is going to come out, one way or another, thus the No. 10 Communication Unit should get ahead of the story, if its a married couple, get them to agree to No.10 getting the story out to papers who tend to be Conservative supporters, thus give less political ammo to the left media, the Guardian, BBC, Mirror, you get the idea folks.   The more the delay the more chance it will come out on social media, one would assume its out already, that is the way these things work, control the story No. 10, be ruthless, that is the only way to win in this kind of story. 

Cold War - Doctor Who Review

The Doctor Who News Page: Reports that the good Doctor had 5.7 million viewers in the overnight figures, the real total will come next week, with those that watched the Doctor via time shift.

Review: This episode was fantastic folks, part Alien, part haunted house, the Ice Warrior was clever, manipulative, a monster, a murder, but also very human in a Doctor Who kind of way.   The episode made this viewer put his hand over his eyes in some sections, seeing the Ice Warrior kill people, but left the actual ends to the mind of the viewers, quite scary for 6pm on a Saturday, YES, that is what Doctor Who should be, you never know what your are going to get, sometimes, funny/dramatic/horror, back or forward in time, perfect drama.

The Doctor was on top form, trying to get a peaceful way out, with a lot of bodies about, when he nearly touched off the self destruct button you thought it might actually happen, that is good drama, as in the film Titanic, this viewer half way hoped Jack and Rose could ditch the class troubles of the Ship when they arrived in New York, yes folks, for a few seconds this viewer forgot history.   The same with this episode, one did forget next week and the 50th Special.   Yes folks it was that good. Haunted House next week folks.   Also folks the episode had the great actor David Warner in it, let see if the viewer can connect SOS Titanic and Titanic to this episode. 

100 Million for Romney and Republicans

BBC News: Reports that Governor Mitt Romney the Republican Nominee for President and the Republican Party raised a 100 million dollars in campaign funds in June.

There has been talk that Governor Romney needs to upgrade his campaign team after his waffling over if ObamaCare is a TAX. It is JULY folks, the Romney Campaign has not chosen a VP yet, the National Conventions are a few months away. The Republicans are worried this is 1996 again, when Bill Clinton defined his Republican opponent before he could define himself. The worry by the Republican Establishment is that the Romney Campaign that won the nomination is not the campaign to win the Presidency. Lets see first who Romney picks as his VP, then lets see the polls after the Conventions, if the national polls and State polls show Obama still ahead then lets worry, one plus about raising more money than POTUS is that the Romney Campaign will be able to produce more negative adverts in the long term, they know how to do negative adverts, they and the Super Pacs can outspend the Democrats later in the Campaign, lets not jump in the lifeboats just yet folks.

100 Billion Euros AND Spanish Banks

It has surprised this blog that the Stock Markets have gone up over the last few days, they seem to jump to positive dream land at the slightest rumour that Germany is going to agree to Euro Bonds, the Germans are not going to folks. The German Coalition Government is making it clear that even before Germany is willing to think about Euro Bonds it wants political union in the EU. The German version of Union is for Berlin to tell the rest of EU how to run its budgets. Lets see what the poor people of the EU think of that move, this is without doubt the worse idea since Captain Smith thought it was a good idea to raise speed going through a ice field. The EU Elite have always wanted a Federal EU, the one way to destroy the EU is to push for Berlin to control the EU. Lets see how French and other EU voters think of that idea. The idea that Berlin should control the economy of Western Europe was an objective if Germany had won World War One. Yes folks its that bad idea. Also it seems that Greece has gone off the radar, lets recall they have their 2nd General Election on June 17th, also French voters go to the polls in their Parliamentary elections. Lets see if the left can also take the Parliament in France or if the right combine to thwart that idea, it is said that we get the leaders we deserve, Europe must have a weak gene pool.

Bill Clinton vs. Obama - The Real Fight

As the Oval wants to repeal the Bush 43 tax cuts for the wealthy.

If the Oval really thinks that Bill Clinton wants Obama to win November then they need a stiff drink. The only game that interests Bill Clinton is getting back in to power, end of subject. Also lets be very direct here, the former President will never forgive Obama for using the race card on him in 2008. Thus Bill Clinton is playing an excellent game, on the one hand he is loyal to Obama, doing TV adverts for him, on the other he calls Romney’s business record sterling, also states that the Bush 43 tax cuts should be kept, in essence folks he is the Iceberg to Obama’s Titanic, doing damage below the surface, Obama should bench Clinton for the rest of the season, that is the best advice Obama is ever going to get from this blog.

Obama’s Class Warfare Election Theme

The problem that President Obama has is this time he has a economic, health and foreign policy record, he has to defend his Administration record, and at its core is ObamaCare, the Obama Oval made a serious political mistake, it thought the US voter would come around to it, this has not happened, in fact it has become more unpopular, should the US Supreme Court find that the individual mandate legal then the Oval will have to defend it through the General Election, that is not a great political move, it’s the one issue that moderate and independent voters will not forgive Obama for, thus the US Obama would be holed very much like the Titanic. On other hand should the US Supreme Court find that the Individual Mandate is not legal but keeps the rest of ObamaCare this creates a major a problem for Obama, the Republican House wont fund it, and he will have to go back to the voter with no major domestic success, the way to fund ObamaCare, tax hikes, lets see Democratic Senators and House Members run on that, it would make keeping the Titanic afloat look easy, yes that bad folks. Thus POTUS has shown himself to be a tax and spend liberal, nothing new, therefore easy to defeat.

BBC News: Reports that the BBC’s World Service is to broadcast the messages form the Titanic, although the original messages were in Morse the programme will use a mechanical voice for the messages. This should be interesting folks, as the article notes Morse was the Twitter of its day, the latest in technology, lets recall Morse was used to catch a well known Edwardian killer who tried to escape the UK via Ship. As recent events have shown in Italy, even the latest technology cant prevent a Ship sinking. Lets never forget the main lesson of Titanic, never allow Hubris to make you think your God.

Gingrich and Romney TIED - Republican Race

Gallup: Reports on its latest poll of Registered Republican voters, in the poll the former Speaker Newt Gingrich is on 25%, while Governor Romney has 24%. In essence tied folks, the negative TV adverts aimed at Gingrich have done the trick, the lead that Gingrich had has gone the way of the Titanic. This blog predicted that Gingrich would win the nomination, that is doubtful NOW folks, the Iowa vote is on January 3rd, the Romney and Paul Campaigns are better run to get the voters out, if Paul or Romney wins its over for Gingrich, he HAS to win Iowa, anything less and Romney will be the nominee. It is a given that Governor Romney will win New Hampshire, thus Gingrich need a WIN in Iowa and close win for Romney in NH to then take the Campaign to the Southern States, but with the Big MO to quote Bush 41 is with Romney, it will be very hard for Gingrich to win in the South. This blog cant wait for the year long election to start, polls, blogs, debates, the conventions, the TV ads, to be a political geek, what fun.

Titanic, A Survivor’s Story

A remarkable first hand account of surviving the sinking of the Titanic, the book was written in 1912 by Colonel Archibald Gracie, a first class survivor of the sinking. What is so great about the book is that the Colonel traced his action on that infamous cold night but also of others. The language is simple, and direct, this blog bought the book on Boxing Day and so far has read 92 pages, it is a page turner. Colonel Gracie to his last breath; the suffering of that night lead to his death in December of 1912; followed the US and UK investigations of the sinking, and talked to surviving crew and passengers, thus his book gives the reader an insight in to the actions of people on the ship that even this blog didn’t know about, and this blog counts the Titanic as a hobby. The biggest mistake in the book that this blog has found is the fact Colonel Gracie didn’t think that the Titanic split in two, but to be fair, he was underwater and swimming to save his life, when he came up the Ship has gone. The truth about the split only came known when the wreck of the Titanic was found, before that even this blog thought she would be found intact and with her watertight compartments could even be bought up. This book should have been made in to Film or TV mini series, its that good folks. Thank goodness Colonel Gracie was such a good writer. It should be noted that the Colonel did stress the actions of 1st Class passengers, third class hardly gets a look in so far of reading. But considering it was written in 1912, its an excellent analytical account of the sinking, a worthy read in 2012, a hundred years since the sinking.

The French AAA? - Euro Crisis

Telegraph Live - Euro: Reports on rumours from Twitter that France will lose its triple A rating, the French Government is in full spin mode in case this happens. This would be a disaster for the French President, it would make it harder for France to raise money on the markets, the French spin is that the same thing happened to the US, good try but one of the pillars of the Euro is France and its ability to fund the bailout package, if investors think that France just might in the future not be able to pay her debts then France is in trouble, the US is still an economic superpower, bowed but not on here knees, the French are the lapdogs of the Germans, nothing new there folks. The French left has made it clear it would have new talks on the new EU Treaty, thus the French President might very well lose next year, those EU fanatics, yes you Lib Dems, are you sure you want to tie yourself to that sinking boat.
